haha we don't have 1.5 BTC. and if we pay any amount of BTC it would have to at least guarantee a lock on us being the only Counterparty token that's accepted for a certain amount of time. 1.5 BTC is a lot to be listed. they said it's because we are not a bitcoin/litecoin fork, which is understandable. they have 2 devs that would have to set up the ability to accept a counterparty token. |

of course, we could sell some OCTO on the exchanges to raise BTC to cover the cost. and i did propose a deal where we pay say .75 BTC up front and another .75 BTC later when the price hopefully rises. and give them some OCTO to hold for future price spikes.
at least then we can push OCTO as the only CP asset to go and gamble with and we aren't even the ones running it.
i'll see what they say!

there's only .269 worth of buys on bittrex right now. so that really won't help us i don't guess. we need more buys.

yeah, i mean if enough buyers pop up to support the buys, we can sell on Bittrex, or sell direct without using Bittrex, or people can buy from the swapbot.
take that money and pay to put us on there. then try to start heavy promotion as the only Counterparty token I know of you can gamble with.

maybe we just skip bittrex, anyone want to directly buy OCTO for BTC, list your trade price and we will do it off of Bittrex, no fees, and use the money to pay to be listed.

realistically, how much OCTO should we give up to gain 1.5 BTC to have their 2 devs implement CP for OCTO? I mean a buyer spent like .12 BTC the other day for 310,000 OCTO.
I mean should we stump to the level of 1 million OCTO for 1.5 BTC??

The swapbot just allows you to purchase OCTO without an exchange. For now I have issued and loaded 2 million OCTO to the swapbot. It costs more than what you would pay at Bittrex, but, all of the BTC goes directly to us and we will use it for funding our projects. This was a must for us to hold a crowd sale independently. Now it is a must in case we lose Bittrex due to low volume. It won't matter, we can still sell it. The cool thing is we can actually remove the OCTO from the swapbot and replace it with a place holder token, and when the user buys that token it guarantees they will receive OCTO along with a few other tokens in exchange for the place holder token in the future. But we cannot really do that until we have a dev. Once we have a dev and we know what the project is and how we can use extra tokens, then we will do that to hold our own crowd sale. For now, it just allows users to buy OCTO with BTC and XCP. |
