Anywhoo, it's my sincere hope that SWC gets a working client for non-windoze users sometime.  But I'm really less hopeful that that will ever happen than I used to be.

It seems you did read at least part of the story.  The issues are usually a result of incompetence, but the way they handle them is the real issue.

Like way back when they realized there were a few guys who had been colluding in their cash games for a while.  Instead of banning the cheaters and distributing the funds among those who were cheated - they announced:

Their accounts have been banned and even though neither player has ever made a deposit we are allowing them to keep a small portion of the funds.
The remainder and majority of the funds will be dispersed to players that were cheated and used to host a 10 btc freeroll
 cheating will not be tolerated at Betcoin Poker ever and that swift and decisive action will be taken.
If you suspect collusion, soft play or any type of cheating at anytime, please message us immediately. ZERO TOLERANCE at Betcoin Poker.

Surprise surprise, betcoin decided to unban the cheaters and let them play in the freeroll:

For the next 3-6 weeks players kept asking about the "refunds" that were never sent to those cheated.  Betcoin ignored their tickets and the thread.

It's a little concerning that you don't appear to have replied to any of his posts here. He seems to be raising valid concerns, but you leave them unanswered.

Did you really use 10 BTC confiscated from cheating players to fund a promotion instead of giving them back to the players they were stolen from? If so, how do you justify that?

Did you really allow those same cheating players to them play in the freeroll funded with the money they stole, after claiming to have zero tolerance for cheating? That sounds pretty crazy if it's true.

Betcoins final response consisted of multiple blatant lies:

Hi Dooglus, it's because we did return most of the btc and we still ran a 10 btc freeroll to thank players for their support on top of returning funds.  This was many months ago and was handled expediently.  Ironically, most of the players were from a prop program which we no longer have, yet most of the players still play in. 

No we did not allow those players to play in the tournament but as you may know a bitcoin gaming website creates some unique challenges which we embrace. 

We have addressed all of this before and will happily address it again as we continue to move forward.

Betcoin player emails and login details were used in multiple phishing attacks beginning Jan 2015, lot's of ignoring with some lies sprinkled in
Ooops, Betcoin increased the rake, then waited a month to fix it, then lied about it ever increasing, then ignored the whole thing for a few months, then came up with a fucked up resolution[/b]  They deleted posts questioning it on their forum and ignored any here.
Here's another good one:
About a year ago I realized that I was only getting around half the rakeback and status points for all WPN MTTs  I opened a ticket.  They told me I was wrong, I showed them proof that I was short around $1,500-$2k usd worth of rakeback from that summer, they ignored me.  I asked every day, bumped ticket, posted in forum and chat, by November I was Banned.  4 months later they unbanned me (not sure why), I bumped old ticket, they asked for more proof, I spelled it all out.  Finally:

We have reviewed your statements and play in detail and have credited you with 3,000 mbtc to your account. We have also added 6,530 status points as reflected by your statements. Since this time everything has been running smoothly on Betcoin and we hope that it continues to run smoothly for you as well. We are here anytime if you need us and we appreciate having you here at Betcoin.

How heroic of them right?  They paid me what about what I was owed. No attempt has been made to determine and compensate other players who didn't notice the missing funds.

He didn't win the jackpot as I understand it.  He claimed that he "should have" won the jackpot according to his interpretation of the rules....BIG DIFFERENCE!  But, anyway you slice it....the jackpot was not the casino's to give away....it actually belongs to all those who contributed to it, and if they have to play by the rules, as coded into the software, then EVERYBODY has to play by those same rules, no matter what their reading comprehension level might be.  "Free" and "maximum" have opposite meanings in my dictionary....Anyway, I think that the community of poker players should work together to promote our sport and not team up against one another to destroy it....that's just a bad direction to take.  Maybe a Betcoin vs SwC  tournament....one each site....fun?

That's what you don't seem to understand.  Poker players doing good would be working together to hold the sites accountable for their words/actions and make the environment safe for everyone.  That way everyone wins.  The sites make money, the good players make money, and the bad players have fun.  Saying "I like this site therefore I'm turning a blind eye to everything it does wrong and hopefully it'll get better" is BAD.  Because if nobody is holding their feet to the flames, why would they improve?  If you really want to do work for good, you'd be with people like me who are asking Betcoin (and SWC) the difficult questions and try to make them be accountable and make their site better.

You haven't made any threats towards me so I have no reason to do that.
