Hey what's with the https://ziftr.suprnova.cc/ pool? It's not working  Huh

I've switched to a new DNS-System/Provider today and it seems some providers are not yet up-to-date.

If you use Google's DNS it works fine: 8.8.8.8

Waiting approx 1-2 hours should fix everything from itself though.

PS: I've tweeted about the problems multiple times already Smiley
good to know Smiley. i've switched to zrc.maxminers.net for now, they need hashpower anyway Wink

DEVS. You promised a gpu miner in 2 weeks. Everyone has a gpu of some sort and if people choose to cpu mine they can as well. Release the gpu miner already. Having 10% of the nethash by one or two people is a bad thing, it also looks bad that one of these people are you.

yeah and it has been one week  Roll Eyes still one week left
(always amazed when big gpu farm complain as they can't yet rape the coin  Grin oh yeah but it is fair when this happens... forgot that one)
You very well know that no matter what happen, it always end up as a few users raping the coin, with a large majority getting the scrap, this is as much true for cpu as it is for gpu (and it is probably even worst on gpu... see for yourself on vanillacoin, a coin you support actively), so your argument isn't a good one...

Well big gpu farms won't get on a coin until it has enough buy support and liquidity on big exchanges to be worthwhile. Guys like me with a few gpus would like to mine this coin, like VNL.  What made VNL get so much hash (or a few guys raping the coin) was not from guys with a few gpus or farms. Once Nicehash puts up a new algo, then the raping begins. One guy had 100GH from Nicehash on VNL yesterday. It would pretty much be a wash just to buy the coins of exchanges than rent, but obviously this guy believes in VNL and wanted to rent the equivalent of a farm.  I have always said the rental services have changed and lessened fair distribution. However it could be looked at as more fair as now the little guy can rent for a while without investing in a gpu farm.  I think rentals have their good and bad points, but the reality is they are here to stay.  Quit worrying about a few big farms in the world and worry more about everyone renting.

I think there is no need for GPU right now. Diff is around 4 for days, so it is not big.

I agree.  Ziftr should be commended for 'fair mining for all'.

Why? There are more people with gpu's, there are less people with big cpu rigs. Almost nobody got rigs with cpu's. What means all the cpu mined coins go to a few people, while many people got gpu's / gpu rigs.

Plenty of GPU coins out there, why is it a problem if something can be mined with CPU only ?!

For me its not a problem, i like cpu-only coins. but if u read this topic, the rumors say that people using the GPU for this coin. where an simple 280x gpu get a speed from almost 10x higher then my I7 CPU... that's why i also want to mine with gpu's. Its not fair if some people can use there GPU for this coin while the rest are using the CPU with low speed incompare with an simple GPU.

AND if this was CPU only, what is supposed to be, i just told you the problem. There are some people with nice servers and a full load of cpu's i prefer to have 50 people(aka: 50x gpu rigs) with many coins then 5 people(aka: 5x cpu rigs) with many coins. those 5 people can destroy the coin easier then 50 people Smiley

If that is true then maybe we should stay away from this coin, fair-play in start is what make a stable future for coin...

edit: I must repeat myself IF THAT IS TRUE because rumors doesn't necessarily mean that there is a GPU miner, but who knows ...

Rumors.... But it's kind of obvious... Net hashrate had gone up even more now, almost 500Mhash.. :-)

I don't kill coin, I release miners (which hasn't been released btw... and won't be released until ziftrcoin team do so)
My quick and dirty code gets 1.66MH/s on R280x. Could you tell what is the speed of yours?

it are words like this in this topic. It can be that it are just liars, or it's true. I didnt see any miner yet.

If you look at the market around ZRC, you will see that there is no support for a big amount of coin in a short time. Nethashrate is decent, difficulty still profitable for CPU, so no need of GPU miners. At the second of GPU will come, price will go down, difficulty will raise and the coin will die.
Even if there is a few GPU miners around, that will not affect the coin.

but what if they've sold their GPU miner to miners with farms? Bcs some dude is getting 2.1Mhash or even more (if he optimized the code) with R9 270, now imagine farm with 20x R9 290x  Huh And the hash rate went up for about 100-150 Mhash just around those days that he posted his coment.
