there is an awful lot of FUD out there. Bitcoin will not go to die until a better technology comes out or a fatal vulnerability is discovered.
There is already a better technology out, yet it still hasnt died. It has a charm by being the first crypto. People wont abandon it so easily, it's like your firstborn child. Would you abandon it for another child? what is this better technology? don't tell me ethereum or maidsafe, they are akin to a rehash of an old attempt to a decentralized internet, called freenet I dont think those coins are really promising. Monero has a great innovation in terms of anonymity. Bytecoin has better security and faster and more efficient network than bitcoin in all terms. NXT, BURST, NEM, HZ, COUNTERPARTY has a whole economy, stock market, marketplace & more integrated in a decentralized fashion.

And that altcoins prices are based on innovation or utility? Lets be honest here, any altcoin can become huge for no reason in a short time, what is so innovative or good about dogecoin? Nothing, yet is always at the top of altcoins.

That is, if there is nothing dramatically innovative (or extraordinary good) about Dogecoin, then why is it always at the top? The answer is rather straightforward, it is fast, it is simple, and it is cheap both transaction and price wise... In short, it is pretty damn usable

I dont think those coins are really promising.

Do people already buy foods or things with Bitcoin (on a large scale)? What did I miss?

I have never seen any good use really come from dogecoin myself either. It seems to be no different than Bitcoin other than perhaps mining is easier. Still, there are better altcoins to mine.

Dogecoin is perfect for speculation and arbitrage (buy here, sell there), though quite harsh on the cardiovascular system

As long as Bitcoin XT is along the way, Bitcoin will die (if it turns out a success) Bitcoin XT is already a thing of the past. Everyone is looking at BIPs to change Core but not at XT. Everyone want sto stay with Core no matter what. XT has rendered itself a massive failure and just a failed trojan horse attack. Let's hope that in the meeting to scale Bitcoin we can come to some conclusion.

Still, Bitcoin needs to improve in order to compete with Visa which can support an average of about 2000 TPS. But that is something we might see sometime in the future

Bitcoin is now in a flat phase, I am confident that things are going to start picking up sometime next year. Bitcoin just needs some rest before all the craziness that's gonna ensue before during and after the upcoming halving. It's far from dead.

i can not see any sigh of death of bitcoin because after very short time mining blocks reward values are going to halve and more miners will join the network to take the best advantage they could and as we know more miners means more better transaction and it is eventually make the bitcoin system more strong

This cannot be known. If to many join the network the difficulty will increase very fast and the earnings will be less (because of half of amount in a block). I cannot made predictions. The only sure prediction is that bitcoin will never dead. There will be always one way to go ahead with it.

Dogecoin is perfect for speculation and arbitrage (buy here, sell there), though quite harsh on the cardiovascular system But you could say the same about any other altcoin, even bitcoins. As i said, sometimes it´s just quite random with cryptos, they are not really sustained by real life things so their price is not fixed to anything

You would get a dozen TX confirmations within a few minutes for Dogecoin, and only a few (or just one) within an hour for Bitcoin. Further, you would pay about 100 satoshi (1-2 doges) for a Dogecoin transaction, and 10,000 satoshi for a Bitcoin one... Feel the difference

Also, there is another feature which distinguishes Dogecoin from almost any other coin. If you trade, you would know it. If you don't, then you simply can't make any statements in this regard (that wouldn't be unfounded), sorry

If too many join to the network? the difficulty will increase very fast, thats wrong because the difficulty is increase if the miner solve the problem fast. although the difficulty increase they have a asic mining software they can mine fast even if the difficulty is increases.
