No offcourse not!
Bitcoins are not dead ..and now u have the... Reason to believe my statement because recently the price is sky rocketing not..as high as it was.. once but for sure.. its gonna increase day by day.
Also due of the ban of ICO's in China they.. had to go through a big loss and they Also recovered quite fast..
You should stop worrying about it because thats what their nature is.
Bitcoin is alive!!! It has been proclaimed dead many times yet bitcoin continue to survive. Despite all the challenges and negative issue thrown to bitcoin, still bitcoin stands firm. It shakens a bit but not falter. Thus could only prove that no one can control bitcoin and that bitcoin is unstoppable! It will survive more than my lifetime.Smiley
I agree to that. A lot of people declare that bitcoin is dead because of the recent bad news that makes the price goes down but even that is the pattern of bitcoin through the years, it is still standing strong and getting even stronger for the past few years and bitcoin doesn't giving signs of weak spots so i think bitcoin will not become dead even after a lot of years.
Bitcoin has been through such times in the past also but it didn't die rather its popularity among the commons increased. This time, nothing was much different from that. Again it has become more famous and now its community has larger number than ever. Anyone who is even thinking about killing it or defeating it, is just wasting his time in doing the impossible.
Issues getting into existence is quite a common thing with bitcoin. Till date what it has faced in various forms were big for something with a less time of 10 years of history. So if it is to die, then the same could have happened long back. But it has grown overcoming each and every issue. Hope the success continues making it live longer.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Bitcoin rises from the ashes again, despite all the negative feedbacks from critics and speculators about its instablity and trust loss in bitcoin community.
There is no point of declaring Bitcoin as dead and that too at the time when Bitcoin market price has started rising once again.

These increase and decrease in the market price will keep on happening in the future as well but you can’t conclude this thing that Bitcoin is dead. You need to be positive and always hope for the best. Things will always be in your favor.

When a product lacks a hype, it most likely would be silent. The much awaited hype for bitcoin came at the time China announced a ban this brought some movement up before dip and later with the adoption from Japan, the bullish movement came. Bitcoin isn't dead.

Of course bitcoin is not dead. He is in a state of embryo. And most likely in the coming years we will see the real potential of this currency. The world is changing and the financial system is changing. Bitcoin will greatly affect these changes

The price is now around $4400 , doesn't look dead in the least!

The price of bitcoin is around 4300 dollars so yes it does not look dead. Even when bitcoin drops to 2000 or 1000 dollars it is not dead. Many people would sell their coins while i will buy more coins in that situation. I believe that bitcoin is very unstable as we can see that bitcoin had dropped to 3200 dollars in a week. This means that bitcoin also has the potential to rise very high in a week.

It's been 2 years since the topic was created, but bitcoin has not died, but is still alive and developing very well, bringing good profits to its owners. You just have to believe in it.
Lol, you would not blame anyone since they just needed to express their concerns at that particular point in time. The main reason I fell in love with this forum is the fact that newbie can easily gain confidence from the past threads and posts judging with now, and seeing how far we have been coming.

Bitcoin has been declared dead so many times on this forum, but I guess the result is glaring enough for anyone to see.
This forum is no doubt the best thing not only for the newbies but for the ones who are trading to come and see the discussion going on over here. I can hardly find any reason to say this thing that there is even any chance of bitcoin to be dead even in the coming days. Bitcoin is making its very good name in the world of international market and will never lose its reputation.

Yes I agree bitcoin is not die and will never die because bitcoin make a place in market people trust on bitcoin and day by day the users are going to increase and the most important thing is bitcoin has a high price which is most attractive to the people and I think dead currency can’t provide things bitcoin is live and will be alive.
Well for me the bitcoin is not dead and I am not going to trust the rumors so it is not dead. It is moving and the p-rice of the bitcoin is going high. So I meant the place where bitcoin was and where the bitcoin is and where the price of the bitcoin is high soon the value will be high, people are holding the value and money will be high for you in the coming days. So it is not dead and for more than 5 years it is not goin to be dead.

I think it is.

Bitcoin use adoption has stalled. Media interest has dissipated. Prices have only slowly continued to decline for a long time now. Bitcoin securities have always been and still are a complete mess, with a near 100% failure (scam/fraud/incompetence/etc) rate. Mining has been concentrated in the hands of a few giant players, eliminating much of the advantage/security/democracy of thousands of individuals being the money processors. Alternative forms of online payment with US dollars (and other fiat currencies) are now cheaper, faster, and more secure than bitcoin (and of course far more usable to buy/sell real goods/services), eliminating any of its advantages as a payment system. Continued decline of bitcoin and strength in fiat currencies has put the lie to the idea of bitcoin as a store of value; there are far better more reliable hedges against inflation. Meanwhile the real economy is firing on all cylinders, stock markets are at all time highs, corporate earnings are higher than ever, unemployment is low, etc. Even amid the boom, no one cares about bitcoin any more. Bitcoin was a fad that lasted a few years, and is now on its way to being forgotten.

Thoughts? Anyone seriously disagree with this conclusion?

I don't think that bitcoin is dead because this already happened a lot before, even if there's a lot of issue in bitcoin, a lot of people already earned a lot, and there's a lot of proof to show that bitcoin is really a good investment. Bitcoin will never disappear because a lot of people already knew that despite the issues going on, bitcoin will keep kicking.

NO! It will be if value go to zero, always there is some way to make pump of it, and mining now are getting by on track so just wait for a little bit of upgrade in this subject.

who cares?
I don't think just give a simple attention on such type of issue, I have a strong belief that Bitcoin will not destroy and it will be one of the strongest currency in the future. some people who think that Bitcoin will be dead one day, they are very much frustrated and hopeless, they don't even simple prediction power.

Bitcoin is not dead and will never be dead. It has started a paradigm shift in $ that the vast majority of people haven't even begun to fathom. Bitcoin will change the way we value things, as it will have to be through a transparent lens.

You cannot kill bitcoin forever you cannot even kill it for a bit because it is like killing all the money people made do u really think there will be no protests against that? it will be a horrible thing to watch.
Killing bitcoin does not make any sense in the present world under such circumstances when bitcoin are ruling the world. I don’t think so there is any currency or government that can destroy bitcoin world. Bitcoin are very cool investments and they are fulfilling the needs of people amazingly. I don’t think so the bitcoin holders will let anyone do any bad to bitcoin.
I have similar opinion regarding this. There is no way for bitcoin to lose their value or become dead when it has the largest crypto market among all other digital currencies. People are increasing their investments into bitcoin for secure and bright future. Bitcoin is about to rule the world market. This is so lame to call bitcoin dead at this time when it has even beaten gold.

Bitcoin will not become dead because there is no sense for staying at this forum and talking to other people's thread if bitcoin is dead because instead of talking to other bitcoin user, i will use my time for posting different things in social medias that will help me to express my feelings if bitcoin is dead. Bitcoin is alive and it will not become dead just because of the issue a few months ago.
I utterly agree with you in this regard that bitcoin are damn active and live these days. There is no pint of calling them dead in any way.

Bitcoin are rather becoming popular among people of all ages day by day. I don’t think so there is any chance of bitcoin disappearing in the coming score or even in this century. They have not blossomed at peak yet.
That is actually fantastic to hear people talking about bitcoins in such a way. Surely we all know hundreds and thousands of people are getting into this business and bitcoins are flourishing with all blossoms. So yeah the near future as well as the foremost years of this century will be testifying about bitcoins at their peak. Good luck bitcoins.

I think bitcoin will not die anytime soon ..
There are still many users who trust bitcoin as an investment or stock trading.
I predict the age of bitcoin is still long, either 3 or 5 years into the future.
If anyone states a bitcoin will die, this is a wrong statement because for now bitcoin has recovered by showing a positive value.
more than 20 years in the future, I can ensure that bitcoin will still be there since the technology of bitcoin is very useful and it can make the world better. So, if you want to be rich in the future, try to buy as much bitcoin as you can Wink
bitcoin is the future,  A lot more then 20 years, and i can pretty sure that bitcoin will go over the dollar market and make them bow before its market..

The way bitcoin is proceeding successfully in the world and getting great appreciation form the common people, there is not even single reason for the disappearance of bitcoin in the future rather there are maximum chances of bitcoin becoming the sole international currency of the world. Dollar is nothing as compared to bitcoin and bitcoin has already beaten it badly.

Yes, bitcoin is alive and in full swing even in China although they have banned bitcoin in their communities, but mining is still in full force. I am sure that nothing would be happen to bitcoin, although it is in ICU in some countries but still alive and I believe it will survive. Besides in other countries bitcoin investors are increasing day by day and so the value, markets cap and the price as well.

Disagree because if bitcoin died no more business that we not be able to work and bitcoin is a nice work so that i interested to work here because i want to buy a thing that i needed for my school.
If we see the graph of the market price and the performance of bitcoin since the time it was introduced, I think we’ll find no suitable reason to support this argument that bitcoin is dead. In fact, the market value of bitcoin is increasing with each passing day and it is making a very good reputation in the world of international market.

I think No, There is a sort of adjustment that bitcoin encounters, Such as the effect of media like banning and other negative rumors about btc, But for people who believe in btc, are totally keep calm, because btc designed to fluctuate in order to earn a good profit for investor, Our mindset of btc is dead is just a speculation, The reality is that btc investors tend to hold their btc because they are optimistic of the upcoming bloom of cryptocurrency due to its demand.

Well, I'm pretty sure now that bitcoin made a huge comeback after this post was posted. Bitcoin can never die, we have proven it after all the issues that it faced since the beginning. We always saw it's price fluctuates, a huge dip then also a huge pump. This just proves that bitcoin is always strong and superior against all other coins out there, we just have to believe that it will always stay on top.

Bitcoin cannot die.  It is decentralized and trustless.  How useful bitcoin is will determine its value and how widely adopted it becomes, but all of the constant hand-wringing about bitcoin dying is sole because bitcoin is fundamentally a disruptive innovation.  It takes a bunch of new concepts and complex technologies and mixes them all together into something that nobody expected, understands or can predict what will happen with next.  So we may have no idea just how important bitcoin will become, but it certainly isn't going to "die."
