ENDER'S GAMEThe goal of the contest is to launch land attacks against me… and lose. Think of it as a "biggest loser" contest. Losing costs you 10% of your acreage. (To launch an attack, go to Profile->Kingdom->Fight and attack player #1706.)
Everyone who cedes land to me during the contest period will receive the following rewards and prizes:
1 Payment in gold of 500 gold/acre. That's twice what it costs to buy land, so you get an immediate 100% profit!
2 I will refund 100% any gold and dragon points you also inadvertently lose. (You lose 10% of unbanked gold and dragon points - best to bank them first, but I'll fully refund gold and dragon points lost so you don't have to worry about it.)
3 Any single player who cedes 1,000 acres to me over the duration of the contest will receive a BONUS of 1 MILLION GOLD! This is in addition to the 500,000 gold paid out from #1 above!
4 Any single player who cedes 10,000 acres to me over the duration of the contest will receive a FREE SHARE OF DRAGON KNIGHTS OF VALERIA! This is in addition to the other rewards!
5 At the end of the contest period, total acres ceded by each player will be tallied and GRAND PRIZES awarded as follows:

UPDATE 9/11: Enders Game enhancement!
Starting immediately, each contestant will earn a one-time bonus of 2,000 dragon points upon conducting their first attack against me. (This includes those already on the leaderboard, as soon as they make their next attack.)
REQUIREMENTSThe only requirement is that you must be able to attack me (EnderWiggin #1706) - that means being within 1/2 to 2X my level. [EDIT: Anarchist reports the level restriction has been removed for the contest, so this no longer applies!] I plan to minimize leveling up through the contest period, but I am not responsible if you fall outside this range and can no longer attack me during the contest for any reason.
CONTEST PERIODThe contest starts IMMEDIATELY upon posting of this announcement! It ends at midnight (as measured by the in-game clock) at the end of the month of September.
Early Termination: If another player surpasses my total amount of acreage for any reason, the contest terminates immediately and no grand prizes will be awarded. Payouts for acreage ceded will be made up to the termination point of the contest, however.
(I don't think this is likely at all, I just need something to cover myself if somehow things do go completely haywire for me.)
CONTEST NOTES AND ADVICE - READ THIS!1 One thing that everyone needs to understand - you lose 1 point of Honor every attack you make (and lose), and Honor will go negative. A negative Honor score does not penalize you, but it will be difficult to recover from if you ever want to gain a positive honor bonus for land battles. So please keep that in mind (note that few players have been actively involved in this aspect of the game; honor has no purpose if you are not fighting over land.) I'm offering the great prizes as a way to compensate for this effect.
2 Payments will be made via the TIPS system in the chat menu. I will try my best to be prompt in reviewing the battle logs and paying everyone, but I'm only one guy and can't be on 24/7 obviously. In particular I expect to be incommunicado at one point for a spelunking trip, which may involve a delay of up to 48 hours.
3 I WILL pay out rewards as outlined above to anyone I am able to attack during the contest period! The target will even be eligible for the grand prizes same as everyone else!
4 No payment will be made for Pikemen lost in your attack, so make your attacks with a minimal number (like, 1) of Pikemen. (It would be counter-productive for me to pay people to destroy my own defenses, folks.)
5 If you have a larger force of Pikemen you can protect them by sending them to an Outpost under your control before you attack me. If you do not own an outpost and don't want to fight the Dark Wizard for one, message me. I can provide a limited number I can turn over to players for this purpose.
6 Archers are used only on defense, so you don't need to worry about losing archers when you attack me. In fact it would be a good idea for you to maintain a force of archers to defend your own land, especially if poachers start eyeing your land as a way to get more acres to cede...
