I wonder who owns the blade... it is someone who bought at least 4...

Come on people, lets figure out the bitcointalk username of this seller.

Quick!  Let's tar and feathercoin him!   Grin

SO any reason you are selling it?  It will be interesting to see what it fetches....  I imagine most of the people willing to drop lots of money on mining equipment would have been involved in the BTC auctions... but then again ebay has a larger audience...

Good luck to you sir!

thanks,  no particular reason.  more or less "for science"   Grin

Xpost: Wednesday Dividend Update -- summary of today's and this week's news.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197545.0

For the week 1-8 May 2013, the dividend was 0.01108519 BTC per share.

Dividend projections.
As of this moment, ASICMINER is operating 18,530 GH/s of hashpower, which is estimated at current difficulty to produce 5,825 BTC per week, after 10% fees/maintenance, or 0.0145 BTC per share per week.
If ASICMINER continues to grow at minimal rate of 3 TH/s per week, we will see at least 21,530 GH/s of hashpower, or 6,768 BTC next week, which will be 0.0169 BTC per share.
If ASICMINER grows at 7 TH/s per week, the dividend will be approximately 0.02 BTC per share.
If ASICMINER meets top growth rate estimates of 10 TH/s per week, the dividend will be approximately 0.0224 BTC per share.

The latest news up to 8 May 2013.
> 200 TH/s has been ordered for 2-3mo deployment timeframe.
> USB devices fully tested, 10,000 units ready for order at 1.99 BTC each.
> Block Erupter sales have produced an average of 50 BTC per unit, or a total of ~2500 BTC in the latest auction.
> If 10 TH/s is sold as planned in Block Erupter auctions at 50 BTC per 10 GH/s unit, Bitfountain will receive 50000 BTC, which is a healthy 0.125 BTC per share in dividends.
> 50 TH/s is estimated to be fully deployed by June of this year.

Thanks for the update, very nice summary Smiley

But let me make some small corrections (just to avoid disappointments @ next week's payday  Wink)

As of this moment, ASICMINER is operating 18,530 GH/s of hashpower.

- If ASICMINER grow at a rate of 3 TH/s this week, we will see an average of 20,03 TH/s of hashpower, which will be ~0.01527 BTC per share.
- If ASICMINER grows with 7 TH/s next week, the average hashpower is 22,03 TH/s, and the dividend will be approximately ~0.01680 BTC per share.
- If ASICMINER meets top growth rate estimates of 10 TH/s next week, the average hashrate is 23,53 TH/s, and the dividend will be approximately ~0.01794 BTC per share.

*BTC/share calculation included 10% for fee + electricity + maintenance costs and 3% because of the difficulty change.
The payouts can be a little bit lower because of course the next dividents can only be paid from the already received coins, what will mean the earned coins from today and maybe some from yesterday were mined at a lower hashrate.

All asks are > 1.29 on the passthroughs... Perhaps the last chance for AM shares under 1.25/share!

You can get fractional shares a little bit cheaper... while they last!

what's the difference between TAT and other PT ?

TAT-PT are 1/100 of a share, 'regular' PTs are 1/1 share.

I bought some of TAT.ASICMINER. They were a good chunk less expensive...
bitfunder seems to be the best deal right now, hovering around 1.33.

you can still get the TAT.ASICMINER for 0.0129, so that's the best deal right now.

I thought I told you guys to leave the PT price alone so I could buy shares cheap after dividend day.  Did nobody listen to me?  Grin

I have a few questions, apologies if these seem obvious but a quick search does not really give me anything. Also, I am a brand new Asicminer shareholder as of a few days ago!

Does asicminer design the chips themselves or do they purchase from avalon? From what I have seen, so far they are only purchasing from avalon.

Once a new cryptocurrency comes out which is better than bitcoin (not now, but possibly in a year or few), would asicminer shift to mining for the new currency and designing new ic's for the new currency, or would they refuse to change?

AM has not purchased anything from Avalon.  Asicminer is a first class chip developer and producer.  They designed the chips themselves.

AM has no plans around anything except Bitcoin for now.  I'm sure the shareholders could push them in one direction or another if something else looked like it was coming out.

Welcome! Enjoy the ride, up or down, you'll have a great time and learn a ton of useful info!

They design their own chips.

Once a new cryptocurrency comes out which is better than bitcoin (not now, but possibly in a year or few), would asicminer shift to mining for the new currency and designing new ic's for the new currency, or would they refuse to change?

That greatly depends on the coin. Nothing prevents ASICMiner to shit to other coins if those prove to be better, more profitable, or just plain more cool.

Thank you so much JaredR26 and furuknap for answering my questions!

One last question, can I vote if I keep my share in the BTC-TC "format" or do I have to request for it to be converted into a normal direct share?
