Some perspective - in seven days, ASICMiner / Bitfountain will have about the same hashrate as the entire pre ASIC network.

Although I greatly appreciate that, you previously said you were heading towards 50 TH/s, and I think the market has been looking for those numbers. Rather than ask for when you're going to deploy the rest, let me ask you this: Do you feel that you are on schedule according to your plans? .b

The hashrates are climbing quickly as we speak here - it's 7,705.90 GH/s currently. Friedcat is indeed adding in new hashrates fast! Well, they are pretty stable @ 7.6 / 7.7 GH/s for about 18 hours now. But nice to have an update Friedcat! Hope the auction will be a bit bigger than the 100GH/s from last week because, as seen from the last auction, people really want to pay to have an ASIC fast (even if this means that some devices will be shipped only a few weeks after the auction) If you wait to sell them for 1 month, so you can ship them instantly, I expect there are more ASIC's around, and people who want to spend 'some extra' on it already have an ASIC..

The USB Sticks are so unique that they will beat any competition in terms of potential sales. Everybody can become a miner - even on holidays in a hotel room. It's a brilliant idea not just for miners, but also for the decentralization of the network.

I didn't mean the USB sticks, just the 10GH/s boards. 100+ GH/s of sticks would be about 300 sticks, which is pretty much for a first batch I think. (And it's only a few % of the total hashpower of ASICMINER) But we'll see, even 300 will be sold in no-time

It's called opportunistic mining. It is great for the decentralization (de-localization) of hash power, but has other weak spots, like flocking of miners towards centralized mining pools. In any way - it's a great enrichment of the mining landscape.

absolutely overjoyed at this news, both the hasrate, but more so the USBs, since my personal hashrate would be doubled with a single usb stick...

If they are paying just the right amount, it makes no difference whether we sell or mine.
People are not going to pay the right amount though. So far it's clear they are are willing to far pay more for a Blade than it's likely to earn over the device life time - even if they get it within a few days of ordering. So you think our customers are stupid then? I take your to mean that you are joking, but neither you nor organofcorti are the first to say those words, and I just want to get this off my chest: Why do people have such a hard time coming to terms with the fact that value is subjective? Just because they valued a 10GH/s blade at BTC75 (or whatever) doesn't mean that if that device doesn't mine more than BTC75 that they are stupid. Maybe they don't believe BFL will deliver, maybe they think Avalon will be late on all fronts, and maybe they are willing to gamble on that? Or maybe they have bitcoins to burn, and want to help distribute hashing power around the network? Or maybe they just value the bragging rights of having one of the first publicly sold blade mining asic units in the world? Their reasons are their own, and for you to label them as stupid is insulting to everyone. Potential buyers have been bidding carelessly. They should have offered more for 0.5 BTC. Unfortunately, some were given and 5 btc more. Also, you should not immediately rush to offer. You need to wait for the end of the auction. We miners need to be wise as ASIC vendor. It really is a lot of 75 BTC 10 GH / s.
