I just discovered that Plan B (the web show) had a segment on ASICMiner (or ASCIMiner, as they called it) where they featured my blog post on how to buy ASICMiner shares...

Just had a listen...I suppose there's no such thing as bad publicity, but oh dear the ignorance was just painful (despite your excellent blog post that was scrolling there right in front of them).

@ThickAsThieves, Do you have a way to withdraw shares into real ASICMINER shares?

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

Not at this time, but you can indirectly do this by selling your shares and buying whole shares anywhere you like with the BTC.

There are a few reasons it is set up is this way, including maintaining the health of the preexisting PTs, and preventing a ridiculous amount of share transfer work for Friedcat and all of the PT operators.

lol I was just being too cheap to pay Bitfunder fees for selling the shares then buying from DeadTerra's PT

I confirm that - didn't use a calculator but what came in is at the 0.011+ range.
Note that this divs should be solely from the hash rates - there's no auction or sales this week. Smiley

Nice. This amount is approaching the IPO period dividends (but many missed out on). Cha-ching!

Yes, good news.  Smiley

I (and many others I would think) would like to thank SebastianJu SmiGueL for the excellent work he's doing with those google docs. I doubled my small holding earlier today (my wife actually told me I'd done my research and she trusted me). Having those graphs to refer to made the decision easier.

I guess a small tip would be in order; I'll sort it out when I'm thinking straight!

So, if we keep the same ~30% annual return (0.5% per week), shares should be worth about 2.2 btc, right?

That's IF we keep the same return, which we won't. We're ramping up to 262 TH/s soon and we're only at ~18 TH/s.

even better!  Grin

The question is, I guess, how long will profits hold out at these rates?  If several months, then I think the shares are vastly undervalued at 1.3ish.

That's the million BTC question now, isn't it? Too many variables to consider but yes, they are undervalued currently (imo).
