Anybody care to sell just a couple shares privately? Help me get involved in ASICMiner and my feet a bit more wet?   Smiley

PM me

I advise setting up an account at BTCT.co and buying a few ASICMINER-PT shares. Then PM burnside with your email and address you want divs sent to. Finally, transfer shares on BTCT to "BurnsideAsicminer". Shouldn't take long for burnside to send you a confirmation PM and for Friedcat to put you in his database. This is probably the most painless way to get "real" ASICMINER shares imo. Worked great for me, just did this process yesterday and burnside/friedcat did their parts in less than 24 hours and cost me no additional fees.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I had some shares on BTCT but transfered directly from friedcat; now, i've bought a couple more... should I do something (like that of transfer them to BurnsideAsicminer) to get proper dividends of my new number of shares?

So, since BitFunder hasn't paid out yet, is it too late to buy and get the dividend there as well?

If you already have funds in Bitfunder, you can buy and get the dividend.  If you don't have funds there, you probably won't beat the dividend payment.

I tried to beat it, sent some coins 3 hours ago but forgot to put a transaction fee so it has been stuck unconfirmed for 3 hours :| Just got 1 confirm now... but I won't beat it. BAH! DeaDTerra you should go to the park or take a walk or something for the next hour. Worry about dividends later Tongue

who sells that many shares at that price right before the giant dividend?  They are basically missing out on their 18 btc in dividend.  Also, with that many shares, they could easily move to BTCT and sell at 1.78+

So, I guess someone is trying to keep the price low, that's the only way to explain it, cause what they are doing doesn't make sense.

I'm not complaining, I've got some btc coming in a day or two and I'd love for the price to stay low till I'm done buying

I've seen these walls before.

Think about it - If this guy bought, say, 1000 shares at IPO,  he has probably gained 100x his investment by now.

His wall is worth like $100k now from almost nothing. I bet he's happy to get what he's getting.

Doesn't mean it's not a good investment for us. But agreed, why not move it to BTCT or auction here?

PS - Got 2 more shares!  Thanks Dead!

I've seen this ~500 quantity ask wall before. It'll loom ~5% over the smallest asks and retreat after it starts taking real hits. TBH I'm pretty confident it'll move back up after 100-200 shares of it get bought. Happened twice before after we broke out of the ~.8BTC/share price and also the ~1.25BTC/share price.

/end raging speculation
