I wonder why the BitCanary guy isn't selling any.

Checkout his GB threads. SSB (another reseller for US) is awaiting shipment for more cubes (also on his GB thread)

what "others"?  who can you order from and immediately get product shipped to you?  (other than 100gh/s avalons for 5.5btc)
I know, but just another thing the detractors keep forgetting. ASICMINER should be able to get even higher prices as they are close to the only ones delivering within days, reducing network risk by a huge margin. So why aren't they getting close to marginal pricing instead of giving them away for "cheap"?

There's 10 "last" USBs in stock at .15 btc for collectors and that inventory is left for the www.bitCanary.com sales.  There's no inventory otherwise. The USBs have sold out completely everywhere.  You can also find them on eBay I think.

Blades are available.  Everyone is awaiting on the Cube product which is pretty similar to 3 blades, roughly speaking... Cube should be more "consumer" friendly.

Quote

So far Friedcat has kept his new product secret. Are ASICMINER going to be advertising their new product anywhere? So far their marketing methods (or lack of) are feeble and lacklustre.

Communication to both shareholders, and customers, is also very poor.
Quote

Maybe feeble and lackluster, but it isn't necessary to do more. Almost everything they have ever put up for sale has been out of stock in less than 24 hours (other than some of the final runs of usb's). Spending a bunch on advertising would be wasteful. It looks like the cubes are already out of stock..

Doesn't it say something about a company when their products sell out in 24 hours and their only 'advertising' is word-of-mouth?

Conceptually you are right if everyone had access to perfect information..  you have to assume they are producing as much as possible without taking on too much risk. This is where your trust of Friedcat's competency comes into play. If AM had produced TOO MANY units, we would now have less capital to invest into Gen 2/3.

You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. No wonder FriedCat doesn't post here. One minute ASICMiner is amazing and the next, roadkill. Pathetic children.

There will always be badmouthers on the public Internet forums. Doesn't mean it should scare FC away from his investors.

I don't think they are relevant, the cartoon cat is called "copy cat" from what I saw on the pic.

If you want accurate translation, "fried cat" should be translated as "煎 猫",but here in China everyone calls him "烤猫" which should be translated as "baked cat" or "grilled cat"...

Seriously? Have you ever listened to an earnings call for an exchange-traded company? The analysts absolutely destroy executives during the Q&A sessions on a regular basis. Being an executive involves being thick-skinned and rational.

If you are seriously entertaining the idea that FC avoids the forum because he's scared of a little criticism, you desperately need to re-evaluate your confidence in him. "He doesn't post because he's too busy to ever check in" doesn't sound great either, but it's a lot more palatable than "he's too scared of the trolls".

The audience in this thread is mostly everything but "analysts", no offence, myself included.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Do you have an example of this? I would love to see Apple or Intel in such a situation.
