Friedcat no mention of Bitfunder G.ASICMINER-PT shares?

Maybe Ukyo needs more money from dividends.

I'm amazed and annoyed that he loses not a single word on this issue. He knows for sure that there is absolutely no information from Ukyos side.

People that held their shares through someone else were warned time and time again that you had counter party risk there.  This is not Friedcats problem.  As far as he cares, the rightful owner of the shares currently has the shares.  You guys trusted bitfunder, not friedcat and now it's your problem, not his.

And to the people asking for seizing... or halting of payments to TF or to bitfundershares, HELL NO!  FC whilst in a position to mediate, has no business mediating.  And if he starts mediating, this spells bad news in the long run.

If you can sign a div address you own shares, if you can not sign a div address, you have a promise from someone else and no shares, simple as that.

exactly. This is problem of people who trusted a passthrough, so don't try to blame your problems on friedcat.

Why do you think you are so smart in contrast to BF PT owners?

No one blames FC for anything regarding BF. We just would like if he would tell us what the status is. He knows for sure more than we do. Is it so absurd to expect him to give us the information on this issue he has?

Edit: Believe it or not, but we are also his shareholders. And he should stick to us.

Bad news
-----------
1) (Very) Fuzzy on launch date
2) Cube sales paid out already
3) Nothing between now and Gen3 launch to augment mining sales = terrible dividends for a while
4) (To some) 40nm technology (though I don't give a hoot)
5) No dedicated PR person ... still

Good news
-----------
2P to 20P deployment. That has to guarantee at least 10% of the total hashrate right?

For my money, the good news outweighs the bad news, but I'm hoping lots of people don't see it that way and bail out  Grin

Fair summary.

fc stressed that their emphasis is rightly going to be on Gen 3. That does portend some low divs ahead, so rightly or wrongly I think you will get your wish about the share price.

The good news is good, but it doesn't have any bearing for 2+ months. Trying to predict the Bitcoin world, especially mining, 2 months out is voodoo at best. I'd rather hold Bitcoin and make a decision in Feb when we can evaluate the landscape.  I think we see some record low divs and YTD price. Probably be some good buying opportunities in the New Year. Darkest before dawn, and all that.

That's the point: you are not.

I'm afraid he is just stating the facts. I hope it does work out for PT owners, but I agree FC shouldn't be the mediator here.

Of course they are. And it would be nice if FC chimed in with any info he might have. But it isn't his obligation/duty/etc.

Him providing information? Sure... but people are looking for him to take action and provide a solution to the issue.  Again, on his end there is no issue.  You are not his shareholder, you had an agreement with someone else, not him.

+1
People need to really consider pass through shares - you are NOT an actual shareholder if you're holding PT shares, and you're trusting the asset issuer, who can (and occasionally did) leave you in the dust.

Balance liquidity and security as you see fit. I'd recommend holding actual shares (although that has its own risks in itself)

I don't mean to laugh, but just look at what the 10 previous posts were about and you will get your answer. No real need to post.....

Already priced in that ridiculously low shareprice. That's why prices go up.

0.3 BTC/share @ $1000 USD/BTC, with 400,000 shares:

0.3 * $1000 * 400,000 = $120M

Obviously this company is undervalued  Roll Eyes

At 2-20ph people have calculated that this would allow AM to reach 10% of the network hashrate or 1btc/share.

I know you are being sarcastic but $120m is still a low evaluation considering that last years profits were twice that.

Yawn, I am satisfied with 3 times the IPO, Dunno about the bag holders of 2-5BTC.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

Nobody is questioning last year's performance, it was great. The question is how it will do in the future. Gen2 utterly failed. While I have great hope for Gen3, we have to factor in that it could just as easily fail as well. We won't know if it succeeds or fails for months, and in the meantime, wall we have to look forward to is dismal dividends and no provable progress. And of course we are all trusting some Chinese guy who won't even reveal his real name. So, yeah, there are some major risk factors.
