Methinks Mabsark is upset he missed the under 0.30 boat.
The goal has long been to get 10% of the network. FC can do it. He has the technology, the resources, the facilities, and is the only one with a plan for what the market will look like in 4 months. At 10% of the network, that would support a share price of 1 btc assuming a 30% annual ROI from dividends alone. Hardware sales can boost it up much higher. This stock is a great long term bet. I just wonder why the move now, today. Inside information? FC has been known to drop good surprises on us.
My best theory is that when the price didn't plummet after the last dividend round with such crappy dividends, people on the sidelines decided that finally we reached bottom and started buying back in. If so, then we just found our support level and are solid until gen3 is released.
+1 Share prices had dropped about 27 weeks running because dividends were dropping. But two weeks ago dividends dropped again, and share prices didn't. Clear buying signal. I was happy to buy at 0.28

'irrational' is the key to success in cryptomarket. Math is not optimal here, as there are speculation and the fear to miss the train. Alt coins makes no sense, yet it's been proven profitable for short term gambling. Jumping on everything relating to cryptomoney has been better than being cautious mind and invest in nothing. Just like the booming of dot com.

My father (a font of wisdom hard earned) passed me down a small piece of advice that some should consider.
"Son, most people think they make money the day they sell something. Nothing could be more backwards. You make your money the day you buy. You would be surprised how many people lose money the day they sell. Learn the difference between gambling and investing. In gambling, you lay down your money and spin the wheel. If you win, you get paid, and if you lose, they take your money. The end. Investing is altogether different. The wheel keeps spinning and spinning and spinning. You get to choose when it stops."
For me, the AM wheel is still spinning. I think I will stop it later rather than sooner.
I like the quote. Going to steal that from your father.

I appreciate the bullishness but price rising too fast for such a slow process. 12 days to TAPEOUT and not reciving your dividents. So take it easy guys and be more wise about your investments. Not saying ASICMINER isnt great but too fast too high, it smells bubbly....

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

I like the quote. Going to steal that from your father. It's a lovely quote. But in reality, we have no real information about what speed the AM wheel is spinning at. They are so slow these days. Can't even find someone to do PR after 3 months ..... but hey, the share price is rising, its a good day

I for one am pretty satisfied with monthly updates as I feel FC has proven himself enough to nit need constant communication.

... actually, I think it's rising a bit faster and more sustained than should be expected for 'new idiot money' flowing in.. There doesn't seem to be much intelligence behind the Havelock buys.. It's just pure ravenous hunger for shares at any price.. Any people bottom fishing would bide their time testing before committing $5-10K+ dollars.., with 800+ pages of history. Any new people that bought BTC (at $700+) who want to sink it into AM wouldn't have appeared all in the last 2 weeks. Regardless of what price people want to dump shares for, there is a buyer there.. Approaching .5 already.. This all points to some entity that cares a lot more about 'Long term' than just div's over the next 6 months.. .. And BlueHorseshoe must really really love AsicMiner

Based on? The fact that Gen 3 hasn't even taped out yet and we are dealing with a company that is batting .50 on successful ASIC designs. They may have a cool hosting system in place, but if Gen 3 doesn't pan out this stock is done.

dhenson -- You sound quite confident in your pricing.. If you are right and it falls to .28 in the next 7 days, I'll help you minimize your loss and pain. The next time AM hits .28 in the next 14 days, I'll gladly buy each for a premium... umm, say .31 per share Feel free to PM me when you want to cash in. * Up to 10 immediately, /w escrow - and up to another 30 if you give me time to get $ to an exchange.

I really don't have a dog in this fight. I haven't owned Asicminer shares since 2.5 btc/share. However, as a guy with bitcoin to spend, I won't be buying at these prices. The market is very thin and a single buyer can easily cause a run like we are seeing now. My statement was simply to warn the newer investors that these prices are unsustainable without better news and waiting might be the better play.

Thing is all AM has to do to come out on top is deliver. So far the only other asic manufacturer that has shown it can deliver is knc and they wont deliver neptunes for another 6 months. Also does anyone know if bitfury is working on next gen chips?

Noticed you'd been missing for a few months, the fact you sold you shares explains why There's no reason for it to fall to 0.28 or anything like that in the next 7 days. Tapeout isn't even scheduled in the next 7 days so its not like they can miss a deadline....

Markets trend down in the absence of speculation. The unfortunate fact is that we've heard all we're going to hear regarding AM1 until tapeout completes. If one guy decides to buy a block of shares and run the price up, the only certainty is that it's going to return to the previous value in the absence of positive news. I really wasn't trying to spread FUD, just had a drink too many and posted without thinking. Go Asicminer!?

Could be one guy, who knows ... but I don't think so ... the general interest level is picking up now tapeout is near. cheers
