what is safest method to buy share ?
i no trust security exchange

In that case, you'll have to wait for someone to run an auction of direct shares. Not sure if any running at the moment. Things are a bit "turbulent" Wink

You only have to trust the security exchange (havelock) for a week or two, because you can convert the passthrough shares to "real" AM shares through a straightforward process. If you want shares soon, it might be the only way.

I've had a few shares of ASICMINER on btct.co, I've entered the bitcoin address so probably friedcat now have it with amount of shares.
How can I check it? How to see amount of AM shares attached to particular bitcoin address ?

I would be willing to part with 10 - 15 direct shares.  PM me to work something out.

By dividing the amount of divs you got last week with last week div per share (0.00026655)?
The addres AM sends out divs is 115tTroRo3B9ZDQ6ATJGDCHcNEVbjJoZnF

The buyers unfortunately appear to be losing big money: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1webkm/i_am_the_guy_who_got_the_first_cointerra_miner_ama/.

edit: I say 'big money', of course to them it might not be a big deal, losing 10's if not 100's of $1,000's

Yesterday I've submitted a list of questions for friedcat to Jutarul who, hopefully, is going to forward them at the next board meeting that is supposed to take place approximately 'before the end of January'. Of course, it would be excellent to get answers to exactly those questions - which are probably the most burning ones - but before everyone gets their hopes up just too high, it may still serve friedcat as a reference point on what we'd like to know from him. I tried to distill the list to the most important questions without going into detail too much.

Questions from the shareholders to friedcat and the ASICMiner team:

  • What is the current status of the 3rd generation chips?
  • What are the estimated time frames for - respectively - producing, deploying, and selling the 3rd generation chips and hardware?
  • There seems to be a certain resemblance of BITMAIN's mining hardware to ASICMiner's. Is ASICMiner affiliated with BITMAIN in any way? If yes, how? If no, have discarded designs (e.g. 2nd generation chips) been sold, released or lost to other entities?
  • What are the reasons for the drastically reduced rate and amount of communication coming from ASICMiner over the last couple of months?
  • What is the currently anticipated long-term strategy for ASICMiner after the 3rd generation?
  • What is the status and capacity of the immersion-cooling data center, and will it house the 3rd generation hardware?

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

Good set of questions - except Jan 31 is Chinese New Year - and continues for 10 days after that. Don't hold your breath for a reply.

Update

The updates of the chips can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=438359.0

ASICMiner is not affiliated with AntMiner in any forms of shareholding, technical sharing or business partnership.

The tapout date is pulled back to early Feburary due to further modifications for robustness and stability, but mass delivery date is still March.
