News from a Chinese miner forum:http://cybtc.com/article-655-1.html

Rockxie, who is the exclusive distributer for Asicminer's mining machine in China, announced that he will produce his own miners.
The sample miner will be availble in April and the chips would be AM's Gen3.

specification: AM gen3 chips, 40nm, 1TH, 500W.

Indicates 0.5 W/GHs and that the tapeout was successful?  Am I missing something?

That statement could be theoretical based on approximation of what is already known. The physical requirements of the board could be derived from design specifications and the process of manufacturing initiated from specifications alone. Nothing to give physical evidence of a successful tape out from the statement.

Agree. Most likely he was just given enough info so he could make the miners while waiting for the chips.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

Delivery was in track for march so possibly they are completed fab chips?

Although with unexpected obstacles, timing rearrangements and delays, our chips are still on track of delivery in March. This thread for releasing information of chips to public, with the intention of getting enough (direct) customers or (indirect) resellers aware before actual chips are produced.

Just a quick question on the discrepancy between AM1 and the fractional AM100 stock price. I suspect moving fractional shares to be easier to trade due to greater volume thus more attractive to short term investment. AM1 benefit from 5% greater dividend return due to no administration fees. Historically what has been the price difference between 100 AM100's to an AM1?

Nearly the same.  Not to be rude but both charts are there for viewing havelock, it would be trivial for you to simply... look at both charts.

No offense taken. I attempted to do precisely that but found the exercise difficult given the method of presentation. I saw no harm in simply asking and appreciate the answer in that the arbitrage can provide useful information given there should be a direct correlation.

Because I felt bad, I actually looked into it.  In a highly un scientific way I took both charts, put them on the exact same time scale (the full life of AM100) fucked around in photoshop and came out with this in 20 seconds.  http://imgur.com/wKeR9Fb

Initially AM1 (full shares) trade at a premium, many people were not happy with the fee TAT took on these shares.  It seems like people could care less about that fee now, as the difference between the prices is so little it is hardly there... in fact for some points in time fractional shares are above full shares.

You'll also recall that I always stated that pricing AM100 at 95% of AM1 was a poor method.

Yes, AM100 is (most times) more restricted than AM1, but if you look at the history of how many dividends were withheld and compare that to the premium people paid at times, you'll see I was correct. This will continue to be the case if difficulty increases for the long-term.

The 5% management fee has always been paltry in the scheme of things.
