I feel bad for lophie, I like that guy dispite his sell off.  Now he is going to have to buy back in for a loss in a thin market.

You shouldn't feel sorry for him. He sold off a large number of shares then spread a bit of FUD in order to try and make more people sell off so he could buy back in at a lower price. His gamble and his FUD failed. People should learn from his mistake so they don't repeat it themselves and they should stop listening to people who can't backup their claims.

I went back and read his recent post history... you sir are correct.

I think overall this latest sell off will end up being a good thing for the share price long term.  I've talked to a few large holders that were able to pick up shares off-exchange, passing shares from weak => strong hands.

Things are about to get interesting.

Lophie may have screwed himself by going one too many times to the well looking for free water. The amount of weak hands left to sell at these low prices is shrinking by the day. Savvy investors have been fortifying their positions in preparation for what is coming.

That Friedcat is deciding to reveal himself and his team to the mining and greater Bitcoin world is significant. For a Man who has gone to the trouble of staying an anonymous CEO, coming out from behind the curtain now at this conference will be telling. I am definitely excited for next weekend.

Quote from june 2013

Q: After the batch shipping from Avalon and BFL, how would the manufacturers in Shenzhen compete with them?
Friedcat: Our advantage to manufacture chips at the cost price is invincible.

People keep saying FC was anonymous... I would sware several people here know who he is, hell... If i remember correctly we have had pictures of him posted here.  I don't really care who he is or what he looks like, his results are what I care about.

I remember some stuff about threats from the Chinese mafia and his family and staff being threatened. Not surprised he tried to keep a low profile...

the funny thing is when you look at the event description, you got all the names of the attendants but FC is just mentioned as FC.. could it be his real (chinese-translated) name? Grin

The threats were against Yifu (Avalon), not FC. And that was just a stalling tactic by Yifu since he double-sold chips and people were pissed.

Some have seen FC on a very early Skype call, I think. No photos that I know of, but I might be wrong. There is a photo floating around of rockxie (RockMiner) that some people confused with FC but it wasn't really FC.

Are you suggesting that Sonny Vleisides is Friedcat?

No. You need to look up the work "purported".  I haven't seen an image of Friedcat or Sonny.
Are you suggesting that the purported photo of Friedcat is actually Sonny?

Last div received on 30/03/2014?

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else. My googling/searching hasn't returned anything.
So won a bid and paid 1.24 BTC for 4 shares and I have been getting divs till 30/03/2014.

Nothing since then and I only managed to get synced up today.

Something happen?

The long and short of it is that AM is switching from self mining to chip sales.  It is hard to adequately summarize the last... 500 pages of this thread, but this change in AM's model along with holding profits for re-investment is what is likely the cause.  August 2nd should provide us with more answers, I would stay away from speculation and just wait till then for more info.

Ah. I see thanks. I'll make a note of this date.

So far I have 0.045 BTC for a 1.24 BTC investment. Not good.

Actually, your 1.24 BTC investment is bidding at ~0.65 BTC so your return is actually double what you thought as a percentage Wink
