I just realised now what I actually needed was the daemon for Linux, I am such a noob lol.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Working on trying to linearize the blockchain data to create a bootstrap.dat that will import... If someone else wants to help too.. you run these python scrypts.. Construct a linear, no-fork, best version of the blockchain. https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/tree/master/contrib/linearizeSo we can get a decent bootstrap.dat ( not just blk0001.dat renamed or cat'd into bootstrap.dat) for importing ... Is that linearized... or you just copied/renamed blk0001.dat into it? In other words does it have all the orphans... ? bootstrap.dat with orphans won't import for me past certain blocks. Edit: meh .. 30.5 MB size ... its got all the orphans. |

Yeah... just like I said you copied it into it. From your page: COPY /b blk0001.dat+blk0002.dat bootstrap.dat That isn't linearized, and has the original orphans in it. run tail -f debug.log when importing and I can see the orphans. You need to do this: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/tree/master/contrib/linearizeThen show me the bootstrap.dat from that |
