The server's officially exploded:

looks like this is the block # until it is waiting before considering it confirmed?
(looks normal for me too)

For the record ... My payment was sent shortly after my post.

Still seeing ...
Current shares CFD: 99.98 %
Current Bitcoin block#:   109060

but the block history still shows the last block at 109018.  Is block history still delayed by 2 hrs?

Scores are renormalized every hour to prevent overflow.

ah, i see.
but does this explain the high estimated reward? if the pool were to find a block now would i receive that amount?
if so, it must be to the loss of someone finding shares before the renormalization? or what am i missing here?

The values of shares decreases over time, and people have been dropping out since the pool may be stuck.  As their shares lose value, and as you find more shares, your estimated reward grows.  The "renormalization" every hour just scales everyones score the same so that the number doesn't get too big for the program to handle.

As we slide down the banister of life, this is just another splinter in our ass.

Is the current 7 hour round just due to statistics being a jerk or could something have happened to the server?

A few days ago there was a ~5.5 hour round. With a 40% increase in difficulty, you can extrapolate up to ~7.7 hours.

I think the odds are 1 in 100,000 that we wouldn't find one by now it should be around 99.999% by now I suck at math though lol.  Yeah I think it's a server problem though.

Edit: I'm just going by the CFD BTW I'm assuming that's the odds we would find one by now but might be wrong.

Is the CFD calculated dynamically as difficulty increases or is it still showing the previous difficulty calculation?

I was about to ask the same thing, although from a brief mental calculation that would still put it around 97-98%. Could just be a run of bad luck combined with the difficulty increase.

So CFD does equal the chance we should have a generation by now if so 95% is only just over 2 hours so it seems 99.99% is more accurate then 97-98

Interesting to see the new scoring during a long round such as this.

I had two workers that I turned off early in the round because it's a warm day and I tend to run a few only during the night.  They had found ~50 and 9 shares prior to turning off.  Looking now, I see their scores were zero (probably decayed to zero after they were offline for ~6 hours).  I turned them both back on just to see what would happen, and found a few proof of works fairly quickly, and the scores went up accordingly.  This seemed to add quite a bit to the estimated reward within a short amount of time (>0.10 BTC).

It may be that my other miners (all GPU's) had some really good luck within that timeframe as well, or that the late entry into the round means these new proofs of work are scored much higher, perhaps also because there's old proofs of work already there.  I'm unsure, this is conjecture.  Just thought I'd share.

The accepted explanation for an invalid is that someone else submitted the solution a split second before the pool did. And only at this point did the two parts of the network join up to confirm which one actually found it first.

Current shares CFD:   100.00 %?  lol that means we were definitely supposed to have one by now?

Edit: Maybe since it only goes 2 decimals deep when it reaches 99.995% it rounds up to 100%?

Yes, there have been invalids before, including a few days ago. You can search this post for other people wondering what it meant.

Odd,  With 120 confirmations for validation and only 18 left .... took that long for the network to converge.  I guess that is exactly why 120 are needed.

Cheating will be much more effective with new scoring - you just need to start some ~20 minutes after new block.
