1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does addicted gamblers only lose money all the time on: Today at 01:04:23 AM
I feel so bother and that is why I decided to ask this question.

We keep talking about gambling addiction and how bad it is to become addicted, does it mean that addicted gamblers lose money all the time? Do you means those guys doesn't win anything at all? Can they not be lucky to win jackpots?

On this board, we are always referring addiction as a terrible thing but does it mean that those addicted gamblers doesn't win money, are they only bounded to losses upon losses?

No and honestly most of the time it's because someone gambles a lot and wins which makes ypu more addicted.  So I'd like to think winning a ton increasing your odds of becoming addicted.  Amd when you lose all the time that's what will cure your addiction because either you run out of money amd you have to face your addiction or you just get tired of losing.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can soccer players collaborate with gamblers to help them win there bet? on: May 25, 2024, 02:24:10 PM
Absolutely.  Crooked sports games has been around as long as betting has been.  Depending on how much the players make is what I see as the likelihood of a game possibly being rigged.  In the higher leagues where players make a ton of money I think it's less likely because they don't want to ruin their careers.  But in the lower leagues some of these payouts are more than their annual salary.  It's worth it for them financially to cheat.  I don't bet on lower leagues because of that.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 25, 2024, 02:21:51 PM
Luka is carrying the Mavs the whole game and if the Wolves can't lock him down, I don't see a chance of them winning.
Wolves are mentally still at the previous series. They thought they could win it all after beating nuggets  Grin

This series might just be lime the last where the road teams win.  Next game for the Wolves is pretty much like a game 7 because if they go down 3-0 it's a wrap.  I wasn't expecting the Wolves to go down 2-0 here but Luka is a straight savage.  Not gonna lie whoever doesn't think he is a top 3 player in the league is crazy.  Dude might not even be in his prime yet.  Enjoying the show that's for sure.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell me why sportsbooks does not have some promo on the NBA playoffs. on: May 25, 2024, 02:17:25 PM
Probably because of the way people bet.  Because soccer (or football) is popular across the globe they probably use promos to drag in people from every country.  Not sure what sites you use because that could be the issue too.  I know the ones I use has promos and bonuses for nba bets.  Maybe you just need to switch sportsbooks to one that does.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future Investment with Dogelon Mars (ELON) on: May 23, 2024, 04:36:34 PM
Dogelon Mars is one of the top 10 meme in the crypto world. It was launched in 2021 and its development team described it as a fair universal currency. Actually being a meme coin means that there is no real utility behind it. A speculative value at the moment, but not necessarily bad. Many investors have built their million dollar fortunes in a short span of time. It can give high profit with high risk. With a market cap around of $77 million and over 440K followers on X, it has higher future potential than other meme peers even with its rising price and utility.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Saying it's a top 10 memecoin means next to nothing.  Outside of maybe doge all of these are completely useless and are just around based on some sort of greed level.  But make no mistake they will all go to zero it's just how long they will take to get there and if people make some sort of profit in the meantime.  Don't hold forever have an exit price
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investment a necessity or a want? on: May 23, 2024, 04:32:19 PM
For the most part it's both.  A necessity is water, food etc.  Investments are a necessity if you want to grow your net worth and retire in the future.  It's not really just a want because in cases you need to reach an end goal.  So I think it's both a want in some respect and a necessity for others.  Depends on the end goal itself.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 23, 2024, 04:29:13 PM
Was busy last night and didn't get my over bet in.  Pacers game only getting 222.5 on the over lol dam that was easy money.

Tonight should be a good night amd expecting a tight battle.  I'm picking the hometown wolves taking game 1 with a spread of -4.5 and taking the under at 206.5.  I can see this being a 103-96 type of game.  Just hoping for a good game.

Was a close game but went 0-2 in the first game in thsi series.  I might not bet each of these games since they are most likely going to be unpredictable.  Might stick with player props, much easier to pick.

Taking the Celtics-11 here.  I kmwo the last game they shoukd have probably lost but I still think they got a couple blowouts in them and with the next 2 on the road what better time than game 2
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Lotto Winner Takes Time To Claim Their Rewards, What's The Point? on: May 23, 2024, 04:26:34 PM
Haven't read through each one of the responses but most of the times if it's a huge amount people usually like to get finaixlcial advisors and lawyers to draw up a plan.  There's tons of pitfalls and tax hits involved when you win so much money.  It's not a bad thing but something that you need a solid plan so you don't screw yourself.  I'd do the same thing and wait until I got an exact plan of what I'm going to do with that windfall.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 23, 2024, 04:23:37 PM
I think there's nothing wrong with that odds, punters are  good at putting the line for us to bet, and so it's either we take it or not and believed otherwise. I'm one of those though who fall for the Wolves in game 1 as I thought that they will win with ANT leading but it seems that he had struggle in this game.

But the game 2 is still unpredictable though, it could be a trap that the Mavs are now the clear favorite. But the Wolves are good at adjusting and obviously, they don't want to be down 0-2 in this series, just saying.
The odds are just correct as it's expected the Wolves are gonna even the series, the question now is if they could cover or not. Based ont their records in the playoffs, if they win they usually cover the spread, so it's safe to assume that if they'll win game 2, it should be close to double digit if it will not fall into that. Still it's a risk because there's no guarantee it will happen, all that is just the line set up by the odds provider, so we just have to choose the right side, and hopefully we can.

Yeah I pretty much think whoever is the home team will be slight favorites here unless one of the stars gets hurt or isn't playing.  I think Wolves even it up but who knwos last series with them the road teams kept winning.  Gonna be a back and forth series if it was anything like last night.  The other series is going to be boring.  Can't see it going more than 5 or so games
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season, will it come next months? on: May 22, 2024, 10:58:59 PM
I don't know why people focus in on "altcoin season".  It's simple.  Once bitcoin takes off so does altcoins.  Once bitcoin tanks so does altcoins.  Trying to track past history on alts is fruitless, just do TA on bitcoin copy/paste in alts and there you have it.  Bitcoin runs the market, alts follow.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy on Dogecoin? on: May 22, 2024, 08:54:51 PM
Has anyone found a way to make DOGE transactions private? Not at the protocol level (although it would be cool), but rather a separate solution like a CoinJoin market. I understand Dogecoin is a "meme" coin and all (not meant to be taken seriously), but having a little privacy doesn't hurt. Especially with increasing government surveillance.

What do you think? Is it worth making DOGE transactions private? If not, why? Can you achieve optional privacy on Dogecoin? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

Interesting and just as with any other protocol I guess it has its merit.  Knowing most people who own doge probably don't even have it in a custodial wallet because they still don't know how to generate or use one I don't know how useful anon would be.  If it ever becomes useful in terms of p2p transactions then I guess yeah it would be good to have.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 22, 2024, 08:50:00 PM
I'd rather them deal with more substance abuse prevention in schools rather than gambling prevention.  I don't know maybe it's me but gambling seems like a singular sport where as drug use starts out as more a group thing which would make sense to talk about it in school.  Not that gbling addiction isn't bad but of the 2 substance abuse needs to be knocked out.

In try of teens getting hooked I don't know if there is anything that can be done unless they banned the mass marketing of it like draft kings on pro sports advertisements.  Things like that

Talk about fumbling the bag, Pacers made 3 bone headed plays in a row to lose that game.  First Hali just lost the ball from out of no where with 30 seconds to go.  They couldn't inbound the ball up 3 with 10 seconds to go.  Then didn't foul on the inbound pass and let jaylen brown take a 3 from the corner at home lol.  I just saw a stat teams were 0-250 in the playoffs when down by 3 without the ball with 10nseconds or less.  Pacers might get swept...
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 21, 2024, 07:46:05 PM
Nikola Jokic always has a problem and that problem is when he is so dominant in the teamwork but he is in a bad day in accuracy. Several times i see Denver Nuggets losing the games because the joker try so many shots and he fail a lot of them, clearly you cant complain about it because also the joker win for you so much games in alone plays made by him.
Jokic tries to get his teammates involved most of the time. He doesn't take a shot everytime he has the ball. Denver didn't lose their series because of Jokic at all. They lost because of the inconsistency of Murray and Porter IMO. Both can nail 3 pointers but went cold a lot in most of the games they lost. On top of that, Minnesota was the #1 defense in the league this year and after being down 20 in the 3rd, they showed everyone why they got that rank.

Agreed saying jokic is the reason they lose or lost is crazy work.  Take jokic off that team and they are a play in team that loses a first round series if they make it in.  With any game your stars take you there but it's always the other guys that need a great hmgame or 2 to take you over the top.  Look at ANT he had a terrible game but his teammates picked him up.  You'd say the same thing about ANT if they lost
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is boxing the worst sport to bet on? on: May 21, 2024, 07:43:47 PM
There's probably tons of this going on but I love betting on boxing.  If you are a real fan and watch all the matches I think it's relatively easier to bet on than some other sports that are team sport related.  It's hard trying to figure out a whole team will play.  But one guy especially with different styles you can Guage who should win, or who will likely score a knock out etc.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin specifically for holders.. on: May 20, 2024, 07:24:19 PM
No more torture? I guess this was a joke.

MEME coins is always ended scam or zero after their HYPE. One big dildo green, and the rest will be red until is hitting zero. You're mentioned the developer are the founder/dev from meme coin you're mentioned in 2023. So, they created new project and leave the scam/failed ? repeated these pattern to gain more and more profit.

Funny, why not just continue the project. Oh, I forget because is already (ZERO).

I agree amd don't understand how everyone else doesn't see this lol.  Most all other memecoins from even just months ago are worth nothing.  They pump initially and then right to the graveyard until the next one pops up.  Buying old memecoins is probably the worst crypto decision you can make lol. Everyone has to find out the hard ways it seems though.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: May 20, 2024, 07:21:49 PM
Hey everyone,

As online gambling platforms continue to grow in popularity, I’ve been wondering about the future of traditional, land based casinos. With the convenience and accessibility of online betting, will brick-and-mortar casinos become a thing of the past, or will they evolve to offer experiences that can’t be replicated online?

Do you think they’ll manage to hold their ground, or will we see a shift towards exclusively digital platforms?

For me and anyone else that uses gambling as a form of entertainment I will always go to brick and mortar casinos.  Online has its niche but going to a casino for the bells amd whistles.  Usually they have great bars and restaurants.  There's always other things going on like live music and comedy shows.  The people watching is spectacular and there's just a different vibe to it.  I think both online and brick and mortar have theor places here.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more? on: May 20, 2024, 07:18:06 PM
It's simply another form of addiction. For some people.  In the case of your friends it seems like that.  For other people like me I use it as a form of entertainment and honestly if I lost all the time but enjoyed the gambling aspect of it than I'm not too worried.  Not that I don't want to win but I don't bet enough for it to become addictive one way or another.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does prediction in sport work for you? on: May 20, 2024, 07:16:00 PM
Hi,

The development of gambling over the past years has brought with it many connections, as methods and types have evolved with the creation of more games. We can gamble on everything and in everything, and among the well-known things in our current time, especially in sports, is the emergence of individuals and sites specialized in gambling prediction and expectations and majorities rely on them before making their bets, due to the amount of information and recommendations they obtain from the site owners.

If you are interested in gambling on sports, do you rely on prediction betting sites? Why?
What is the most prominent site you rely on?

I try not to use any sites because I don't know what their intended outcome is.  Law of averages says if 20 sites predict things one of them will look like a genius by default.  It doesn't guarantee future outcomes.  Now over the course of time I guess that gets better but if I'm betting my money I want to be because I'm comfortable and picked that team based on my conclusions.  If I lose with someone else's pick I'd be pissed at myself.
