The Golden State Warriors seem to still have to find their offensive guy. Steph Curry is changing his way of playing by becoming the screener for his teammates but the problem is the one who should be rewarded for those plays cannot shoot the ball at a high percentage.
I actually like the new approach. The veterans helping the rookies develop and have confidence in themselves can only improve the club in the long-term. They will be more of a threat during the play-in or the playoffs if they can find the right mix before the regular season ends.

Agreed.  He knows he needs one or 2 guys to be rock solid come playoff time.  So if he gets double or tripled they won't be hesitant to put it up there.  I know they aren't in theor prime but still having to play them as a 7 or 8 seed is a nightmare.  Playing playoff basketball in Oakland is not easy at all.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if an altcoin is a scam on: February 25, 2024, 11:32:35 PM
These are all great tips but in the end a well disguised scam will get through all of these checks.  Always good to look deeper into some of these that you pointed out it can at least detect the lazier scams.  I'm more worried about the long game scams that are disguised as good functioning projects.  Those types usually bail with tons of money vs the lazy ones that don't even pass the initial sniff test.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: February 25, 2024, 11:30:18 PM
While watching the JRE podcast heard an experienced gambler who had bet over a million on the Super Bowl and won his bet on the Chiefs.
This wasn't the first time he bet big on it and won.
He had bet on the Saints and Colts which had to have been the biggest bet placed on it being $4.5 million.
The strategy he used seems to be just taking every aspect of the game into account. Right from the type of surface being played on to how the players are getting along with eachother for the week of the game.

A lot of smart money was on the Chiefs.  They won it last year with mahomes on one leg.  I wasn't a Purdy fan before these playoffs but it looks like they have a decent qb going forward.  Played well in tight situations.  But in the end mahomes wasn't going to be stopped by the niners.  And that's with pacheco having a subpar game.  They would have cleared double digits if dude played better.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 25, 2024, 11:27:54 PM
I watched a game for the first time since the All-Star fiasco and Milwaukee beat Philly very comfortably. While the Sixers were focused on Giannis, other Bucks players hit wide open threes from outside and led by 21 at half time. The fact that they made 7 extra threes made the difference. Giannis didn't have to do much as the Bucks maintained the scoring margin throughout the game. Until Embiid comes back, the Sixers have a very difficult job. He'll be back before the playoffs start, which is good news, but the Sixers need to do better while he's out.

Without embid sixers are a bottom team.  Embid has one of the highest usages in the NBA.  It doesn't look like Philly knows what to do without him out there.  Maxey is a nice piece but not someone who could carry a team at this point in his career.  With embid on the court this team is an issue though.  Nobody can effectively and consistently stop embid for long stretches.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency. on: February 24, 2024, 11:06:21 PM
Little by little crypto is going to become a form of payment.  But more so as an easy way to move money quickly and cheaply internationally.  Now that in the US the bitcoin etfs got approved, mainstream folks can now get involved.  Once the mass public has skin in the game, companies will be energized to make crypto a lot easier to use than it is now for some people who are technically challenged.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What causes altcoin season? on: February 24, 2024, 10:58:55 PM
It is a general believe in the cryptocurrency community that Bitcoin bull season is usually followed by altcoins season. I don't know the logic behind it hence the reason for this post. The present bull run seems to be dominated by Bitcoin and its already taking too long without corresponding rise in price among the notable altcoins.

So, should we also expect altcoin season following the current bull run? If yes, what are the best altcoins to focus on?

Alt season follows a bitcoin run.  People take their profits from a bitcoin bull and throw it into alts which gets them going.  Alts don't take much to rise (or fall) because of the relatively low volume compared to bitcoin.  In terms of what to follow, no one knows.  Every new market a new set of coins takes off ypu just need to watch early on to see what runs.  Just make sure ypu have a bail out plan don't ride the wave all the way down which happens more than not with alts.

Wembanyama is a wonderful player there is no doubt about that and Spurs are sort of learning how they could just utilize him more and more and make him play like a star. However, look at the results that they have right now, we can easily say that we are not going to get them to be a great team just yet. They have time, he is still a very young player, and he has at least 15 more seasons in the NBA if he doesn't get seriously hurt, so it should be possible for him to be able to get a good team during that period, and even a championship.

I highly doubt Pop will be around though, dude is 75 years old already, maaaybe 5-6 more years, but not like dude will be still coaching when he reaches 90, so Wemby will be  coached by someone else eventually.

Agreed.  They shoukd go after a young coach now to grow with the team.  Pop should hang up the creates.  Wemby is far more polished than I imagined him to be at this point.  In 3-4 years he is going to be a situation.  They need to get a banger down low like a jalen Duran type to play opposite wemby.  They need to nail the draft around 2 more times and they shoukd be set up for a decade plus so long as they can resign their guys.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 24, 2024, 10:51:43 PM
Starting a fresh journey after the all star break (no more break this time) Cheesy

I got these teams winning later.

1- Suns -4. A back to back game but it's a must win in Houston. Bradly Beal Still out, but let Book and Durant take care of the business.  - loss
2-Clippers -9 - they are not the Bucks, sure they can beat this undermanned team. - loss
3-Wolves -4.5 - Bucks might continue to struggle and Wolves might still owned them.  -loss
4-Lakers -10 - Both teams are playing back to back, but Lakers are back at home, though Lebron is still "Q", I think the home team can handle the Spurs. loss

Updated record 15-19 (44%) Another losing streak.  Sad

Still making some picks and let see how this goes.

1- Detroit is on a losing streak again so definitely I'm gonna pick them with the spread of +8. I like a desperate home team to win as well.
2- Boston is just too strong now dominating their opponents, so I'll take the -6.5
3- Wolves on a back to back home game, and might be bouncing back after losing to the Bucks. Against a visiting less defensive Brooklyn Nets, it's Timberwolves -8.5 all day.

I'm not gonna bet the knicks/Boston game I think it's gonna be a good one.  Knicks are down julius, OG and Mitch from the starting lineup so not a bad bet.

I'm going the other way in the Detroit game, they are pretty bad right now.  Gimme orlando -7.5 I have them.

And Wolves I'm on that one too.  Nets stink and expect them to lose by more than double digits here.  Just hope cam thomas doesn't have one of them freak 40 points games.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find and hold in Atlcoin effectively? on: February 23, 2024, 11:03:50 PM
It's an imperfect science with altcoins because of the volatility.  Finding the tops or lows of an altcoin is extremely difficult so if you are going to try to time anything pick a predetermined point at which you want to exit and stick with it.  Once something has gone up its tough to let go because of the fomo, but disciplined traders over time do much better than emotional ones.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Participation in Miner pools on early stages in beneficial or not?? on: February 23, 2024, 11:01:36 PM
It's like anything else lower return but less risky on getting scammed works for some peoples risk appetite and then there are new pools or mining new coins which could lead to a bigger windfall but then there is a chance you can lose it all.  It just depends on your risk appetite at the time.  It's not good or bad without understanding that first.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: February 23, 2024, 10:59:27 PM
I don't care either way as long as they aren't hurting anyone I can't see why anyone would want to ban gambling ads, it's a legal thing to do.  It's like banning beer commercials.  They are all over the place, same thing.  If you are worried about kids seeing something they shouldn't take the medium away from them or even better teach them yourself about what is being advertised.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 23, 2024, 10:56:59 PM
Easy money last night think it's gonna be easy money tonight.  Coming out of the break with a loss and a second game of a back to back against a young team.  Spurs should give them enough trouble to keep it to single digits or even come away with a win.  The books seem to always over estimate teams like Lakers, cowboys, yankees.  Easy betting targets.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 23, 2024, 10:54:35 PM
That stat line for Jokic was crazy tonight. He ended with 21 points, 19 rebounds, 15 assists, and shot 100% from the field. Thats got to be one of the best stat lines of the year, possibly up there with an all time efficient game. That dude is going to carry Denver to another title if the rest of the NBA isn’t careful.

I feel like he gets those all the time.  Honestly it is crazy and it looks like he is playing so slow put there.  It's like the game just operates at a different speed for him.  The 100% from the field on top of the triple double is the icing.  Dude is just different and hate when I hear people not respect the guys game.  It's insane.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Utility above Hype on: February 22, 2024, 11:23:13 PM
Another memecoin, boring.  Seriously not to knock you but memecoins being built now are just riding the hype wave of memes from 2020/21.  Why not just make it a viable project why does it have to be a meme.  It's like naming your coin after another popular coin.  Sorry but red flag until proven otherwise.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the value of CMC Crypto Awards 2024? on: February 22, 2024, 11:21:32 PM
I stopped after reading cryptocurrecy of the year and looking at the coins provided.  This is some sort of joke right?  Who put this together?  Any poll without bitcoin in it is rediculous at this point.  Unless it's altcoin of the year than this award thing is crud.  If it's voted on its really just a shill vote anyway.  People will just shill their bags no matter if it's right or wrong.  I'd say this whole thing is pointless.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 22, 2024, 11:18:29 PM
I just watched part of the 2024 all-star mini-movie that NBA released. I could not finish the whole video but I can tell that they really know how to present it in a way that someone who never watched the whole thing would think it's actually that good hehe. Shameless.

I think the poll in the OP needs to be updated to something like which teams will qualify for the playoffs first.

Agree poll is dated and maybe at this point start looking at finals champ.  Backend of the regular season incoming.  Big night out of the gate for the Knicks.  They lost 4 straight going into the break with toms of injuries.  They need to beat the sixers tonight and not start sliding into the 5/6/7 slots in the conference.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 22, 2024, 11:16:38 PM
Celtics ML / K. Porzingis 2+ 3pts @1.97

The first couple of games right after the All-Star weekend are often tricky. I've seen anomalies and inconsistencies in player/team performance after extended breaks before. Hopefully, this will not affect the Celtics and Porzingis.

KP has covered 2+ 3pts in 5/L5 and 9/L10. I wouldn't say volume is there since he's only averaging around 5 3pt attempts per game /L10, but his 3pt% is rather high at around 48%. He does land a favorable matchup in Vucevic, a below-average defender, and the Bulls as a team rank near the bottom of the league in defending catch-and-shoot threes.

Agreed I'm laying off of any betting except maybe betting against the Lakers.  Bron nursing a bum ankle and I know they don't want that to linger so he might get some bench time here.  Other than that enjoying the next couple of days without laying down on them until the break dust settles.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 22, 2024, 11:14:27 PM
I mean that should be rule number one.  Gambling should always be done with a clear head.  I'm not sure I've ever heard of a good news story of someone who consistently does drugs and then gambles while on them lol.  Not saying a night at the casino after a couple drinks playing some low stakes gambling should be banned but its difficult to control if you have multiple addictions feeding off each other.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price approaches $3k on: February 21, 2024, 11:49:24 PM
These predictions have e been made for years for bitcoin too.  I wouldn't take too much stock in them.  Either way it will be a sell the event type thing if and when they do announce that.  People are buying that rumor and will dump this like hot garbage once they move out on that.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore on: February 21, 2024, 11:47:41 PM
Some known popular altcoins are eth bnb ada xrp matic etc and so many are available in crypto market where eth bnb is common investment. But i saw some people, buy matic but don't want to go for ada! Some buy xrp but not Interested with solana!

What is the name of that Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore?? Example: i Won't buy TRON(trx) anymore cause it makes me disappointed several time with its stable price since 2017

Eth or any token on the eth network.  Gas fees get to be too high which is completely opposite of what crypto was built for.  Shoukd be easy enough to send transactions without the cost in a bull market.  Sometimes you would lose more money in gas then what you would make off selling a token.  Seems pointless and other projects will figure it out quicker than eth will.
