741  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 22, 2024, 11:14:27 PM
I mean that should be rule number one.  Gambling should always be done with a clear head.  I'm not sure I've ever heard of a good news story of someone who consistently does drugs and then gambles while on them lol.  Not saying a night at the casino after a couple drinks playing some low stakes gambling should be banned but its difficult to control if you have multiple addictions feeding off each other.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price approaches $3k on: February 21, 2024, 11:49:24 PM
These predictions have e been made for years for bitcoin too.  I wouldn't take too much stock in them.  Either way it will be a sell the event type thing if and when they do announce that.  People are buying that rumor and will dump this like hot garbage once they move out on that.
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore on: February 21, 2024, 11:47:41 PM
Some known popular altcoins are eth bnb ada xrp matic etc and so many are available in crypto market where eth bnb is common investment. But i saw some people, buy matic but don't want to go for ada! Some buy xrp but not Interested with solana!

What is the name of that Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore?? Example: i Won't buy TRON(trx) anymore cause it makes me disappointed several time with its stable price since 2017

Eth or any token on the eth network.  Gas fees get to be too high which is completely opposite of what crypto was built for.  Shoukd be easy enough to send transactions without the cost in a bull market.  Sometimes you would lose more money in gas then what you would make off selling a token.  Seems pointless and other projects will figure it out quicker than eth will.

I agree with everyone and I am missing those good old ASG games as well, but the game is not the same, so the result will not be the same either. You can keep saying that NBA had better defense as much as you want, but the reality is that it didn't, it didn't had that much of a great defense, it had some defensive rules that allowed harder defense to be made, but that also resulted with a lot more injuries as well. These days, defense is still being done, I guarantee you that any defensive player of the year in the past 10 years, could be taken on the year they won it, and put in the 90's and would be one of the best there too. We are just seeing entertainment, nothing more. If you want "real" games that is played tough, you can wait until the finals, that should be fine.

It's not even close.  You can't even hand check now.  The one rule I do like that they put in was sliding underneath a jump shooter after he shoots.  Countless ankles have gotten mangled from that dirty play.  But in general I think most of these tricky tack fouls have changed the game too much.  Last big man I liked to watch was shaq.  Dude straight mangled people in the paint lol.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: February 21, 2024, 11:42:59 PM
No never do I believe someone else.  I need to look for myself and feel good about a bet.  Those people most of them don't have skin in the game themselves.  They make money off providing tips.  It's like selling shovels during the gold rush.  They profit no matter what.  Steer clear and do your own due diligence.
746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: February 21, 2024, 11:40:49 PM
This story is all too common.  Being addicted to anything sucks but being addicted to gambling can crush your life.  Lots of people have lost theor homes and ultimately families because you screwd everything up for them as well.  Gambling doesn't only affect a single person when you have a family that depends on you.  Sucks to hear.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we need to buy meme coin? on: February 19, 2024, 10:39:02 PM
Because
Sleep dreams that the tendency to suddenly become rich Cry

This is not really normal because meme coin is more dangerous in this crypto market. They always collect money from investors by showing amazing attractive offers. In reality their project does not last long in the market because most of the team members of meme coin are new generation and they have less experience. They are coming to the market only to grab the investor capital completely.

Exactly.  Most people actually realize it but because of theor greed they still end up buying coins of those rediculous projects.  Knowing is half the battle, acting upon that is another level.  Memes were a fad in 2020/21 I don't think they are gonna have another run like that.  There is too many coins out there to spread the money around.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where did u put your Money ? on: February 19, 2024, 10:28:40 PM
It's a terrible idea to look at only coins with a specific unit price based in fiat.  I can create a coin with a trillion coin supply or I can make one with a thousand coin supply.  If they both have the same market cap you are only going to look at the first one.  Total Supply shouldn't sway you in terms of what you look for in projects.  You will miss out on some profitable ones that way.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why mega threads always be kept open on: February 19, 2024, 10:26:37 PM
Agreed for the most part the answers have been had but sometimes the thread migrates into a different topic that's where I think it should be closed if it goes off the rails.  Generally speaking it's tough to moderate just because an answer was made on a specific thread who's idea is it that it's been satisfied other than the OP.  Message the OP of a specific thread to close it if you think it should be and they just vanished.

Rare double double though for Dame, winning the 3 point competition and then the MVP, we've seen for the first time 200 points were surpassed.

And I read that there is a teas for next year 3 point, it could be the splash brothers, Steph Curry + Klay Thompson, vs Sabrina Ionescu + Caitlin Clark. This 3 point shoot up is the saving grace for this year's All Star, everyone wanted to watch how Steph will do against Sabrina, and Steph shows who is the greatest shooter in the planet right now, although Dame as well could be in the discussion.

The all star game was a dud.  Dame earned his points with so.e half court shots but for the most part it was layups and dunks with no one around.  It's turned into a glorified layup line.  KAT had 50 points and ypu would barely know that because he was driving the lane every time down 30.  Didn't pass etc.  Game turned into a joke.  They need to do so.ething lime put home court advantage in the finals to the winning side like baseball does.
751  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: February 19, 2024, 10:21:14 PM
Luck is not something that comes all the time and that's what makes it special when it comes to you while you are gambling, some people cheat when they gamble and they said is luck which are all lies but inside them they already know that it want luck but cheating.
However I was lucky to win a bet with my last stake some days ago and I am happy for that, that's why I have to bring it here let's discuss about it, whether you have also win some amount of money with your last stake. I went to a betting shop around my locality then I bet with $10 and lose all of them so I was holding  up to $1 separately for transporting my self back to my residence, but funny how I staked with my transport money and won.
Although, I had more money on  my account that I can use for transporting my self back to my house if incase I lost the physical cash, that was why I wasn't afraid to stake with it.

Dam I thought you meant that you spent your last dollar on gambling your ride home away.  Good on you but I always set aside any money needed for real life.  Once you start digging into that pot of money is when you start getting yourself in trouble.  If you don't mind me asking how much did you win with that $1 that saved your day?
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 18, 2024, 10:24:46 PM
3-point contest was fun and very challenging as all players scored 20+ in first round. Dame Time ended it the way it suited him.
Dunk contest was mid. It was weird that Jaylen Brown made it to the finals. Toppin had better dunks. McClung had no competition again, so he didn't dunk very differently than last year. The NBA management has to do something about the jury. Grin

The judges though, it seems that they want Jaylen to be in the finals with McClung. But it was a boring dunk contest and could be one of the worst we have seen in years. As I have predicted, Curry will will over Sabrina in their own 3 point shoot-out.

Dame time, he needs to get that last ball to win and so he did. But obviously, fans are disappointed on the dunk contest. They should really get players that can put highlight reel during All Streak Break. They have to bring McClung just to hype it and so it's those NBA players lost to a G-leaguer.

@ FanEagle - maybe you are referring to Jordan Kilganon.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsPsKLjw-SI

I just think nba players are generally uninterested in the dunk contest or at least enter.  Like I said all these dunks are just being re packaged and super stars don't want to look bad on TV.  3 point contest is always going to be interesting because it's not about creativity but rather who can drop the most in.  Looking forward to tonight's game.  Just hope it nails the under 364.
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins have dropped at least 10x in this bear market and will easily 10x on: February 18, 2024, 03:41:31 PM
You might as well ask people to shill theor bags here.  Trying to figure out what altcoin will reverse course over multiple markets is dam near impossible.  Not saying you can't luck into it but rationally trying to figure out is almost useless.  Alts are fads and shoukd be treated as such each cycle.

It was a fun 3 point shootout indeed.
I didn't expect the battle will be that close as they ended up playing a tiebreaker before the Finals proceeded. I was really rooting for Tyrese Haliburton to win that match but KAT found his rhythm and shot one hell of a money rack.  Cheesy

Steph Curry versus Sabrina Ionescu was also fun but it seems like Sab cannot find her rhythm and since the WNBA is not yet commencing, it is understandable. Curry had his practice every day while Sab doesn't, but it's all for charity so it's all good.

The dunk contest was so easy to predict and that is why Mac McClung was the super favorite.

Well, he did defend his title today and I wish the NBA could find someone who could compete with him better. So it could be more fun like the Zach LaVine versus Aaron Gordon era. I mean, there are a lot of high flyers in the league now and even if they don't dunk much, the NBA should consider putting them in the list to battle against the 2 time defending champion.

Agree on all fronts.  The 3 point contest was fun to watch even the steph ionesco matchup.  The dunk contest has gotten meh to me.  At a certain point all the dunks have been dome and they are just repackaging them.  Back in the 80s with Dominique and the 90s with Vince there was new stuff no one was ever doing being laid down.  If McClung is winning these things now you know it's watered down.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 18, 2024, 03:30:38 PM
Betting one way or another is too hard.  I'm hitting the under on 364.  Most years have hit the under and while the first 3 quarters have been a free for all with no defense the 4th quarter tightens up.  For whatever reason the over under on Luka points is 10.5 I hit that over hard.  He should be showcased here now this year.  And haliburton with 9.5 assists I banged the over.  He is gonna be lobbing the ball for dunks all game.  Took some other overs, 23.5 on Tatum (he dropped 50 last year).
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: February 18, 2024, 03:26:57 PM
I came across a recent topic where the op was saying over 80% of gamblers gamble to make money and I had to have a dip thought on that and was curious as to know if there are possibilities that people gamble just for the sake of answering the name gambler?
Nearly eighty percentage of the gamblers are doing gambling for the money making.
From my opinion, I think there isn’t any need to stake or risk one’s money on a game simply because you want to catch fun when you could simply not risk your money and still have fun while watching same game.
I don’t know if I’m really staying my points well but I wish to know if people really have to gamble without intentions of making money?

I disagree.  You spend money to go see a game live in person because it entertains you.  The activity of gambling brings a certain level of entertainment for me.  So I might not be of the majority but I don't gamble purely to make money.  I dare you to go play poker with fake money and then real money.  The game is completely different with money.  Its a level of competition you can't get with fake money games.  Same for sports betting.  I have my favorite teams but gambling on teams I'm not particularly interested in allows me more "entertainment" watching that game.
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more profitable? on: February 17, 2024, 09:23:18 PM
Just one bitcoin
Bitcoin is the most profitable crypto to all investors. Bitcoin is the first digital asset to hit the crypto market. In fact it was more profitable for its early investors.

And it will be for the foreseeable future.  Altcoins typically are just empty promise hype projects with the goal to create insta wealth for very few insiders.  Most everyone loses with alts ypu just don't hear the loss stories all that often because people don't like to write about them.  All of these other projects are not solving a problem just creating a hopeful solution to individual wealth dreams.  Srick with bitcoin and enjoy the ride.
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My wealth plan in the next 3 years from today on: February 17, 2024, 09:20:57 PM
Lol sticking the entirety of your financial stack let alone your crypto stack in an altcoin is crazy.  Why not stick most into bitcoin do ypu not see what has happened each cycle.  Bitcoin rises up higher and eventually all top altcoins fade away for the next fad or flavor of the month.  Bitcoin is the move.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 17, 2024, 09:18:57 PM
Bucks has lost 7 out of their last 10 games. Doc Rivers will probably not find any job at all in the NBA after this one. I am sure that he had some issues before this, I mean he shouldn't even be hired here, at this point I feel like he has buddies around the league that hires him, because if I owned a team, I would pay Doc Rivers not to coach my team, let alone pay him to coach it.

The fact that they fired their coach that made them so good, and just get one that made them so bad. Players are the same players, I don't know what changed so quickly but they just suck now. In any case, it is All-Star weekend, and we are going to have some fun times, it is going to be great tonight, I like it, the lack of defense is terrible for the past 10 years or so, but it is still fun to watch.

Yeah I'm not a huge doc dlfan but give it some time.  It's a small sample.  Let the playoffs play out and see how he positions his team then.  He is probably trying with different rotations trying to figure out the team still.  Mid year take over is extremely tough.

Amd yeah it's not a great basketball game the all star game but still fun.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stick to some Casinos or do you try out new ones? on: February 17, 2024, 09:16:50 PM
I'm always open to a new casino.  If they are brand new I wouldn't sink too much money in right away but that's how the big ones started, as an unknown.  I wouldn't recommend switching all the time, if you do find one you like and are comfortable moving money in and out of its worth sticking with them for the majority of your play.
