Tho of freaking course Love looks to be a rising star. My god, GB has some sort of QB drafting cheat code.

It's not a cheat code they draft and have them sit behind the veteran for a year or 2 or 3 to learn the system before throwing them to the dogs.

You're not wrong at all.  That's how it used to be where rookies would come in, sit for 2-3 years and learn the nfl.  Now it's just fire them out there and cross your fingers it works out.  Most of these kids are shell-shocked out of the league before they shoukd have even been starting.

With that being said it's fooooootball time!! Love this time of year.  Enjoy the games fellas
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we consider a project legitimate if it has been in existence for two years? on: January 19, 2024, 10:39:21 PM
That's a hard no.  If a business is in business for 2 years does that mean they are legitimate?  Not the same but you get the point.  Some people play the long game, especially since we've been in a bear market for awhile.  They might strike when prices are high and we are in a complete bull.  In crypto ypu never say never amd always keep your guard up.  Don't trust any project...except bitcoin.

It appears everyone in this thread was correct. It was announced that Mike McCarthy will be the head coach for next season.

Owner Jerry Jones explained his decision in a statement:
"I believe this team is very close and capable of achieving our ultimate goals and the best step forward for us will be with Mike McCarthy as our head coach. There is great benefit to continuing the team's progress under Mike's leadership as our head coach.

On the divisional games, I worry for the Ravens, the Lions and the Bills. The Texans defense are not to be underestimated and we have already witnessed the difference between Lamar on the regular season and Lamar of the post season.

On the Lions, I am not very optimistic on them after the wildcard game vs. the Rams.

On the Bills. Patrick Mahomes and Taylor Swift.
Jerry Jones is delusional. They paid Dak and lost all their receiver talent when they did. They now have Cee Dee Lamb who is good, but cannot do it all. Yes they have other receivers, but none that are awesome. Pollard is declining, guy looked great when competing for playing time with Zeke, but has dropped off since getting the starting job. The defense is solid, but didn't show up in the playoffs.

I'm not sure if the problem is 100% McCarthy, but the guy isn't doing a great job when it matters. Look at all the teams the Cowboys beat and look who beat them. They played terrible vs teams with a winning record. I would have probably let McCarthy go and got me an offensive coach.

Their defense falls completely flat when they need to show up too.  For a giants fan this is amazing.  Watching McCarhy coach with fear amd desperation is going to be fun to watch.  Ceedee to me is a top 3 wide out in all of football right now.  I'd take him over everyone not named JJettas and Tyreke hill.  Honestly until Jerry homes gives up the day to day ops they aren't going amywhere.

Poor D'Lo, his name keeps popping up for a trade between the Lakers and the Hawks,

And as per report, the trade might look like this,

Lakers get:
- Dejounte Murray

Hawks get:
- D’Angelo Russell
- Jalen Hood-Schifino
- 2029 1st round pick
- Additional Draft Comp

It's not yet final and official, but it looks like after playing good in the last couple of games for the Lakers, D'Lo is on the move again.

I can't see Atlanta pulling the trigger on this trade.  Dlo is OK but trading your starting point guard for Lakers bench players and a draft pick 6 years from now does little in terms of making them competitively better.  I can see a contender adding a young pice and a pick closer to now or 2 picks even.  Murray is a great addition for a contending team.
865  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 19, 2024, 10:27:07 PM
If you are playing games of luck then the odds are always in the house's favor.  Casinos want you to play these all the time.  Not because they always have the odds over the better but the longer you bet the more likely you lose your stack.  I think betting sporadically and knowing when to walk away and lock in Winnings is the way to play.
866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: January 19, 2024, 10:25:22 PM
I don't know if many of you have been paying attention to the recent happenings going on in Iowa and in New Hampshire. It seems Vivek has finally given up on his presidential aspirations and get all the way down to endorse Trump. It is pretty much an strategy to see whether he can become his Running mate in my opinion.
Meanwhile, it seems Nikki Haley is getting closer to concentrate some of the voter base in NH, enough to get Trump nervous about her and continue to attack her even rougher and harder.

I am predicting DeSantis to drop out the race and leave the rest of the race to be a rescue of two, it will be specially humiliating to him, and if Trumps manages to get into the presidency, then it will be very dark days for DeSantis politicsl career. At this point, I would not be surprised to learn Haley's odds have increased overall in the most of the gambling market.

It is still very unlikely for her to defeat Trump, but she has just got a lil bit closer to that possibly. She may even get more money from donors.

What do you think?

Honestly I agree with all of that.  DeSantis is fading and it will get ugly with trump and Nikki Haley debating, but I kind of want to see those 2 debate.  Trump has to be the clear favorite to come out on that side.  I haven't checked any of the odds but what are the current odds for Joey B, trump and Nikki Haley?  It's certainly going to be an entertaining 11 months from here.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins: Over 50% of Cryptocurrencies Have Failed on: January 18, 2024, 10:53:46 PM
That's just as of today.  Most of those are just being held up by pure greed.  I'd argue at least 99% of these are just scams or at best not scams but projects that have unachievable goals.  Anyone can make a coin in no time and think they can run a project.  But most are just pump amd dump.toys to get those people who make them more bitcoin, eth or fiat.
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see potential in the meme coin SEC on PulseChain? on: January 18, 2024, 10:50:59 PM
Come one guys. Feel free to criticize... Cheesy

It's a meme coin which will eventually fall to zero as will the rest of them.  People are holding onto the 2020-21 fad but it will die soon, or at least mostly all of them will.die.  most of these coins offer literally nothing that isn't already available from viable projects.  Where there is no need, there will be a failed project.  Not if, just when.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 18, 2024, 10:48:52 PM
Davis could anytime explode, he was the MVP on the IST championship, on that particular game only. Although per record it was Lebron. lol.
True, Davis is really something, a very special big man who can shoot 3's as well, very clutch with his FT's so I don't think the Lakers will trade him as thats not gonna help Lebron as he continue to build his legacy.
I do think that Davis "was" great, but I do not see him that great anymore, Lebron is aging, and he is still carrying a big load on that team, he should not be asked this much, he has given his everything to this game and he should be able to age a little bit and not be pressured into being the best in any team.

This means, Davis has a responsibility, which is being the best in that team, and right now that's argued, some may say that he is the best player in that team, but it is not clear, I think it could be said that Lebron is still number one there, and that's the issue. Davis should have been clearly the best one, like not even remotely close to discussion, if it is open for discussion then it means he didn't do what was asked of him.

Davis is definitely the best on the team right now at least in the regular season.  Without AD on the court they have no go to guy since lebron handles a lot of the ball handling.  He can't ball handle and crash the paint all game too, Lakers go as AD goes.  Not to say lebron isn't great it's just AD is more important to that team right now.
870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 18, 2024, 10:46:58 PM
Starting to take a look at the games for this weekend to place my bets, and man, only 8 teams left is depressing.  I mean every season tends to go really fast, but especially this one for some reason.

I don't feel nearly as confident making picks for this week like I did last week.  The games just get so much more competitive now.

That said, here's my early picks..

Ravens > Texans -9.5
Niners > Packers -9.5
Lions > Bucs -6.5
Chiefs> Bills +2.5

I like all of them but Houston.  I'm putting some money on them at 9.5 amd also putting a money line on them.   CJ has the juju going and can see him airing it out in Baltimore.  They need to stop the run because baltimore could just pound it on them but I'd stack the box and let Lamar beat you through the air..  Can't wait for the games just glad none are on peacock this week :/
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 18, 2024, 10:44:34 PM
Yesterday, when I was playing Crash, I have caught myself thinking that I watch on how much people bet, how much they won and lose. First I have felt envy, when I saw one guy bet 200-300 bucks all the time for half and hour and cashed out with 2+ multiplier. Among bets in range of 1 sat to a dollar, he was really standing out. Then I have noticed a guy who was betting a dollar and did not cash out until rocket passes 10x. I was also amazed how a guy bet 1k, and lost it when the rocket banged at 1.00x, then he immediately made another 1k bet and the rocket banged at 1.03x. Then I saw him winning +5k bucks.

That is how the idea of this topic appeared. I watch others gamble, I watch how the bet, I start to think about betting more than usually. Do you have such feeling also? Do you have a feeling that if others make large bets, that you also must bet large, otherwise you would feel like uncomfortable, or feel like a poor among rich, or something of that kind.

Never, it will end up altering the way you bet.  Win or lose it will have a physiological effect on you.  You will end up chasing the amounts they win or be reluctant to bet the amount you would normally if you see people losing.  Bet what you are comfortable betting and don't worry about the crowd.  Some win some lose it shouldn't bother you either way.
872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the possibility of discovering a memecoin that could change your life? on: January 17, 2024, 11:18:47 PM
Slim to none chance.  First off memes we're a fad back in 2020 and 2021, fads rarely pop a second time.  Second most everyone is a complete scam amd ypu are likely to lose all your money than make a single penny of profit.  Rule of thumb is if ypu aren't in the in crowd on those ypu are likely being used as exit liquidity for "the team".
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins are likely to go up when BTC goes down? on: January 17, 2024, 11:17:04 PM
A guy once told me, altcoins generally do what bitcoin does, but to a larger extent.

So BTC goes up 10% --> Alts go up 20%
BTC goes down 10% --> Alts go down 20%

While there are some exceptions (ETH did not crash now, presumably because of the ETF rumour), during the last month I verified this.

I want to sell my BTC when I expect the next bull run to be over. But I do not want to cash out because that will lead to confiscation of the profits via taxation.
Someone told me to swap the profits for stablecoins. But stablecoins are currently under serious attack, and are at risk of getting depegged.

Is there any alternative to cashing out and paying enormous taxes? It makes no sense to swap 100k worth of BTC to an altcoin when we expect a BTC crash of 40%, when all other altcoins are likely to crash even harder.

I wish there was something that behaved conversely to the BTC price.

That's a line of crud.  All Altcoins don't outpace bitcoin in a bull market.  You can look at bitcoin dominance during bulls and see its lead widen that's because it's outpacing the market.  Yeah there are some alts that will outpace it of course but the chances of winning by playing the altcoin game is risky it usually doesn't work out.
874  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: January 17, 2024, 11:12:26 PM
It might not be that they are not proud just that they want to keep it separate from their public lives.  Maybe you surround yourself with people who are also gamblers amd don't want to get wrapped up in theor circle of gambling.  Meaning you would be more apt to gamble with them and not what you enjoy gambling on.  And other times it's just easier to seperate.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 17, 2024, 11:10:28 PM
To the people that have maybe tried both online and physical gambling, how do you perceive the socialization aspects of online gambling?

In my personal opinion: I think casinos that feature crypto gsmbling are somewhat lacking in terms of how players can communicate with each other. I get that some people that gamble online might actually want to avoid talking to other people, but what if you can only gamble online and still want do socialize a little bit?

When I tried sitting on live blackjack tables for example, the dealer would always introduce topics, as if he/she was told to keep talking. But it felt very repetitive and forced. The chat wasn't a good means to actually keep up a discussion. Out of the wight playwrs maybe one or two would reply with single words, and if you wrote something longer the dealer wouldn't have time to read it, respond and keep dealing at the same time anyway. So it was just a one sided back and forth, not a real discussion.

In other sites there is a single chat and it's so active that it's actually hard to follow, while there are thousands of players...

It's just my view that most online casinos could do many things to improve the social aspect of their sites. Not sure if there would be demand though.

It honestly depends on the players, dealer and environment.  Some tables I've been at it's been a blast between the players and the dealer and others where it's very serious.  Mood even from table to table is very different.  I tend to gravitate towards the noise in the casino as its more entertaining than just sitting there grinding.

Could this be a sign that the Raptors are waving the white flag? This will be big for the Pacers aiming for the "win now".
https://www.espn.ph/nba/story/_/id/39330081/sources-pacers-acquire-pascal-siakam-trade-raptors-pelicans

This was posted recently and I guess Indiana is building something. Did the Pacers really get something from this trade or the Raptors made some incredible trade considering those 3 first round picks plus Bruce Brown who I think is in his prime as well?

Thats a big risk considering siakam said he isn't resigning for anyone he wants to test free agency out.  3 firsts I think was a bit steep without a resign guarantee.  Pacers I guess are in win this year mode.  They were good without him but now with Hali feeding him I can see them hitting top 3 in the east with a good chance of beating anyone in a 7 game series.  Was hoping someone in the west snagged him up...Lakers are running out of options.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we need to buy meme coin? on: January 15, 2024, 11:11:49 PM
Meme coins are basically useless.  They enrich the people who create them and some people in their inner circle.  I'd venture to say most all of them except maybe a handful were only created to make the creators more bitcoin or eth.  It's a fad from 2020/21 that people are still trying to "get rich" on.  I'd steer clear.
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you can build trust in the crypto community? on: January 15, 2024, 11:09:30 PM
Dont worry about "trying" to build trust.  If you are working on a legit product or project then just let the work speak for itself.  Set deadlines and announce them when theyvare attainable and when you cant keep on schedule articulate out to the people who hold your coin/token.  Don't use pump groups and don't focus on coin price.  Keep conversations based around your project.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 15, 2024, 08:49:49 PM
Wolves are doing something that has to change for a long time, and I think they are doing something that nobody really expected, that's the good part. Back when they got Gobert, people had some worries because they believed that during the era of small ball, and everyone shooting threes, they got another big man when they had KAT already, nobody assumed KAT would be able to play the PF role, that dude is the modern Center in person, he was doing well too not like he was playing badly, but they still got Gobert for some reason.

Everyone thought this "experiment" would fail, but so far they are looking good. Of course there are other players who are contributing very well too, but those two big playing together without an issue is very crucial.

Yeah it's definitely looking like it will work out, I think what a lot of people were concerned about was all the picks they gave up for gobert.  If it didn't work it would set them back a long time because of the lack of flexibility they have moving forward.  Ant has been something else.  I think he is the one that made the biggest step up and make the wolves a top tier team.

As a giants fan last night was enjoyable end to end.  When the camera panned onto the crowd it was priceless lol.  I've never seen a more dominating beginning than that was.  Cowboys didn't even look like they showed up to play.  Now just need the eagles out of the playoffs and the world will be right again.
