1  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🚀💰HALV-SEASON COMPETITION ⚽SPORTS⚽ + HALVING 🚀💰[PRIZEPOOL IN BTC] 🎉🎉🎉 on: May 27, 2024, 04:09:54 PM
Just saw this thread get bumped, and am surprised that I took part in it, and more shockingly are the picks I made thinking Liverpool will finish on top of Arsenal , or Girona would beat Barca for a top two finish  Tongue and Bayern Munich will coming running to take it away from Neverlusen..some picks lol Roll Eyes

But looking at the spreadsheet, got 18 points which wasn't far off from getting onto the podium:)

Congrats to all the winners  Cool
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 27, 2024, 12:16:12 PM
Am a Tyson fan and probably going to back him for the win but every time I look at their standoffs something keeps ringing in my mind that Tyson might not have the endurance to go all the way against a youthful Jake Paul, and not forgetting Jake has the height to give him a slight advantage if he knows how to put it to good use because Iron might has always dropped bigger guys than him, taller guys than him and the list goes on so this disadvantage isn't new..

But fighting at age of 57, comeon I think let's have a sober selection here and am thinking bookies are right to make Jake the favourite as Tyson might not have it to go all the way, for now the hype is to help make the sales...

In terms of power though, he has natural gift, God given talent, so I think that favors him and if order for him to win this fight, he should go and look for a early knockout. Because as the fight goes on and drag for the full fight, Mike might get tired and Jake Paul winning on the latter rounds and the judges giving him this win.
Like how you put it as been a God given talent ,which it is and we can't take that from him Cool

Btw, I think Mike Tyson has always finished his fights early, anything that drags on means his winning chances get slimmer and this fight won't be any different and am hoping Jake does not get to win against a Legend as this could dent his name and all...

3  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: May 27, 2024, 10:15:17 AM
Congrats to southampton and Sportsbet.io for promotion to the Premier league!!!  Grin

The contest was amazing and i got 7/8 answers correct  Grin
Congrats for taking first place 🎉🏆💰

Nice to be part of the winners club on this SB promotion and this was all made possible thanks to a Southampton win,any other result other forum members would have been celebrating this victory  by now Tongue and likely we went with team Sportsbet.io and we got rewarded for it  Cool

But on a serious note, I wonder why Leeds was favoured to be the favourite here as the head to head pretty much was pointing to a 50/50 match and the result did show it would have gone anywhere...unless they based the match weight off the last 4-0 win as Southampton got into the finals with more work to be done .

4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lunatic gamblers who says Airdrop rewards are free funds. on: May 27, 2024, 09:57:42 AM
As far as I know the real airdrops are those that matchup with how much you already have on a wallet and usually happen as a result of a fork unlike those that requires one to do several tasks before getting paid, and worse off ask for KYC at the end of it..those for me are a no go as they really make you work for the so called free coins AKA airdrops!!!

As of the gamblers that believe Airdrops are free funds, let's just say just because it's not fiat or physical money it brain washes many of us thinking in these lines of it being free money..but whatever they narrative free money doesn't exist, one way or another it will be paid for!!

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 26, 2024, 09:03:07 AM
Wait a minute, why is the FA cup given so much authority over the premier League Huh Just learnt that the Manchester Uniteds win over City yesterday will deny several teams of football duties that where suppose to happen, for example from the top 7 finishes in the EPL

For example Newcastle who were 7th in the EPL will not  play in Europa Conference League next season, Chelsea who finished 6th were suppose to play in Europa too but  dropped to playing in the Conference League, Community Shield where Arsenal was to play will now have United play..woow the FA Cup has so much recognition after seeing what's happening..

Btw, Manchester Uniteds last afternoons win has saved their face from missing out on European Action something that has not happened in several decades and forked alot of other teams next European duties  Cry..

Glory Glory Manchester United Wink
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shops now accept BTC on: May 25, 2024, 07:07:59 PM
It just get to know that some shops now accept BTC as exchange, that is very good Bitcoin is making progress, after some years now Bitcoin will shock the world, with the way things are going now.
Unfortunately not every country is taking advantage of this technology in this manner, which is a slight setback...but I believe with several crypto payment processors out there digital platforms can easily make accepting Bitcoin easy..

But something that I think can make Bitcoin invisible is crypto cards as they can be used where VISA and MasterCard &/American Express are accepted but why are these payment options not as popular as these would facilitate ease of use of our Bitcoins...
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2023/2024 on: May 25, 2024, 06:33:06 PM
Manchester City put up a surprising performance this afternoon against our EPL champions to clinch the FA cup , which is a consolation reward for the work put in in the last few months!!! Btw, this is a very much needed win to try and save Erik Ten Hags job which I can only speculate as the general performance of the team has been poor and  if it was at another club he would have been sacked by now..but he might have bought himself more time to prove his worth!

Congratulations Manchester United for securing a trophy 🏆 despite not been the best team out there  Tongue
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: May 24, 2024, 11:13:15 PM
Let's just say am self taught not because I didn't have a mentor or thought YouTube was the best place to look, absolutely not... something I have got to understand about the internet is people like sharing and if you know where to look you will find a free premium course that will help..and for your information certain free information can only push you a certain distance but you still need some extra help to understand the trading game!!!

Let me work you through this step I am using to be a professional trader

1. Learning on YouTube and other PDF resources online
The only popular course I have have is ICT and failed to finish it Tongue
Otherwise not a bad place to look.

2. Attending conferences and watching trading podcast
If I was going to learn how to trade all over again this would be my unpopular option.

3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade
You know the saying that says time is money...comeon getting someone to make time for you will cost you, you will either foot the bill for transportation for them to get to you or straight up pay for the service...

4. Practice always and maintain consistency
Guess this is when you have got the concept of trading and can go on your own Wink

13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: May 24, 2024, 08:55:42 PM
Everything written by the OP is true, but the simple fact about life is that too much of everything is bad...take food for example, if food is taken in moderate amounts it will keep you alive & healthy but the second you over feed this leads to complications such as obesity which goes to other diseases such as heart failure, Hypertension etc. So with my analogy this should tell you that when it comes to gambling, in the wrong hands it can't lead to other problems all because of greed but when you play for fun making money from gambling becomes passive...In short the secret to surviving the world of gambling is through responsible gambling!!!
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could China (or similar) take control of Bitcoin? on: May 24, 2024, 09:33:28 AM
This came up as a side discussion in another thread, and I thought it would be interesting as a top-level discussion here.

The notion is this: although taking over 50% of the Bitcoin hashrate would be a practical impossibility for any private actor or even a small country, China, as a country, has at times hosted over 50% of Bitcoin's hashrate, and it's thus plausible they could make this happen again if they wanted to.
Its technically possible to control that 50% and requires huge investments to achieve, and btw in the case of China you make this sound like it's one state owned entity running the show when in reality it's several independent entities that represent this virtual control under the umbrella of being labeled China Roll Eyes

And whomever controls over 50% of the hashrate can dictate the software in use, and/or dictate the contents of the blockchain. As the theory goes, if China wanted to wreak havoc on the world economy, or if it wanted to extract a ransom, or if it simply wanted to profit by inserting its own blocks, then... it could. They could do anything.
It's actually more complicated that you make it sound, think of it like a car.. For a car to be functional several systems have to work for it to move, say the fuel system, the oil system, suspension etc and when it comes to Bitcoin... miners are one such system that contribute to its smooth running of it and for the record are not independent but are dependable on other systems such as nodes, etcetera. So this havoc you talk of is not possible as they need to also own a huge amount of bitcoin for a coordinated attack on the network otherwise if they had miners and owned a huge chunk of BTC they would have a shot at this...

Perhaps China could decide that Satoshi's blocks should be given away to charity. Maybe they change the architecture so that it worked better in China, or conformed to their "laws" or something.
This now sounds liked a forked Bitcoin which would make it an altcoin and by the way before a fork happens a consensus has to be reached and not some dictator move to make things happen!
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in match fixing? on: May 24, 2024, 08:14:30 AM
Let's just say after watching some documentary relating to match fixing on one of these large TV stations, I think I do have a conscious that it exists especially in these lower leagues but not entire believe in it... But if you think about it, some of these players that know of gambling and do some kind of underground betting can fix a match with an outcome going in their favor... Say for example a yellow card or player facilitates a loss of their team and players do get caught doing such which leaves that impression that match fixing does exist.

But match fixing of a football federation, man that is risking of football to a whole new level unless not governed by the likes of FIFA then that explains their greed of fair play.

I think that to make any type of bet you must have the research done and for us to corroborate we must wait to see what the news can't say, in the event that there are injuries on the part of some of the players then it is already to make a possible reset of the probabilities or changing the bet, I believe that a possible change of the lineups in the soccer, basketball, or any sport teams influences when a player who is very good is not present, that does affect the team, I don't I analyze it like that, but if I take it as a profession, I would have to do that type of analysis to avoid losing money.

First off when it comes to analysis of a game to get an advantage over the bookies, I don't think you have to take gambling as a profession it can be solely based on fun& games and the good thing is that anybody can do this as historical data is ready available for all!

Secondly, not all games can be analyzed because not all games have the data to help in ones analysis which means you have to go with your gut feeling or not play the game at all as this puts you at a disadvantage even before game starts.

So depending on what information is available we just need to be flexible to work with what's there...
