101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: November 15, 2020, 11:45:03 PM
Well actually yes also if that day happened I was thinking of ways on how to bypass the system in order to access cryptocurrency again, I know that it would be dangerous for me and I can be in prison for that but I'm used to cryptocurrency and I don't think they can stop me from accessing it.

It's really easy as long as your banks offer international transfers.

You can move fiat money abroad and set up an account in another crypto friendly country like Estonia, Germany or Belarus. I also don't think the US will ever ban cryptocurrencies.

You can also send fiat to a foreign crypto exchange because your government can ban exchanges in your country but has no jurisdiction outside it.
I like the idea and it actually makes sense. So witty Cool. Well, even if such method is safe and feasible, I might still refuse to do so. I mean, of course no one wants to go in jail. So why would I make something which could lead me to imprisonment I'm faint hearted when it comes to that matters. I will choose peace of mind than money over and over again.

But anyway, I am actually not worrying for the possibility of banning the use of crypto here in country at least for now simply because our president is more focused on eradicating drugs and strengthening the armed forces. That's his specialty. So I foresee that we can still continue enjoying our crypto profits TAX FREE hehe.
102  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [GAMBLING] PBA Discussion and Crypto-Sportsbetting on: November 15, 2020, 02:10:48 PM
The Semis is now approaching as the final match on the quarterfinals has finally ended. And take note, twice to beat pa sila nung lagay na yun

Anyesy, move one na tayo guys. Focs na tayo sa susunod na laban. Exciting ang line up ngayon kasi walang magkaka sister company. Walang bentahang magaganap Grin. Sa tingin nyo, sino makakakuha ng kampyonato this year? For me Ginebra lang malakas lol.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 14, 2020, 01:26:57 PM
D*mn! What a turn of events. Phoenix beat Magnolia, 89 to 88, thanks to the lucky shot of Matthew Wright Cheesy. I thought they will lose on that one but Wright's shooting is on fire. He able to pull it off despite of being contested.

Props to them. One sister company is down, one to go (I'm pertaining to SMB) lol. I am hoping that Ginebra will face other team so we could expect that they will play all out in the Finals. No under the table negotiations to extend the series.
104  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you like to become a co-owner of a world bank? on: November 14, 2020, 06:07:49 AM
A co-owner of world bank?
I think this is difficult to do.
No dude, I think you're having a misinterpretation of what OP said. OP want us to imagine using a bank (which is the blockchain technology in this case) that is free to access for all. No third party which will handle our assets (crypto in this case), no restrictions, no manipulations happening. Honestly, I'm still a little bit confused but that's my own understanding Grin. But one thing is for sure, he is not pertaining to a central bank or alike.

On the other hand, if your is right then I will agree. Like the old saying, greater power comes with great responsibility. Being a a co-owner sounds good but I can feel that I will age faster having such kind of job lol.
Yup! Medyo quite impressive ang nagaganap na bull run recently but it was still meeting my own predictions so yeah di pa rin ako masyado nagulat Cheesy. Surpassing the $15k mark ay macoconsider na ngang great achievement before this bad year ends pero yung fact na patuloy pa syang tumataas ay maituturing na talagang huge blessing especially knowing that all of us are getting tested by the pandemic and calamities thus strongly need money. Keep on waiting guys, hindi pa pumuputok ang bubble so may time pa kayo para mapalaki profits niyo. Good luck.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin backward reaction. on: November 14, 2020, 12:02:58 AM
I'm already contented on how bitcoin works when it comes to that aspect. Don't get me wrong dude, I understand your point and your intentions are good but I still barely agree. I am having a feeling that the feature of being anonymous by bitcoin will be compromised if ever implemented.

Your wrong send, your loss. If you made a mistake then it's not our problem anymore (no offense meant). I guess the best thing you can do is to serve it as your lesson and make it sure it won't happen again next time Smiley.
107  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about crypto profit on: November 13, 2020, 10:59:48 AM
I don't get it, why would people would invest in BTC now? current price is $16K but people still invest in it.
Is catching up because they are already missing the skyrocket? enough reason to consider? Because that is what's happening in most cases. Late investors tend to chase the hype train and hope that they will also make good profits from it even a little bit. So if you don't want to face this risk then be an early bird Cheesy.
even if it reaches imaginary price of $32K people would get just +100% of what they've risked while you can invest in altcoins and MAYBE get easily 10x-100x on your risked amount...
That "MAYBE" scares the hell out of us for real. I mean, why won't you gamble into an alt which might become a sh*tcoin in the future if there is a reliable one in the first place. Think twice dude.
108  Other / Meta / Re: Image issue with bitcointalk and imgur. on: November 13, 2020, 01:55:53 AM
I've been using imgur as a service for a long time to convert image into bbforum link
Me as well, I am using imgur since the day I learned how to upload images here. I am so used to that's why I'm so upset to encounter problems with it. There are times that I cannot access it. At first I thought it was just a simple slow internet connection but when I enter other sites there's no error at all. Also, my "Desktop Mode" technique when I upload using my smartphone doesn't work any longer.

I actually tried to access the site this morning and this appeared. So for me, it's time to find a better alternative. Imgur is out, imgbb is in lol Grin.

109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PRIZE OF FIGHTING Boxing’s biggest contracts revealed on: November 12, 2020, 11:20:39 PM
That's really a huge contract for a single fight if I ever knew that I should choose the profession of being a boxer. We're not quite sure where they invest it but for sure these boxers really have a good profit on it.
I agree the amounts are huge but you know this is one sport where one mistake can lead to brain injuries which last forever and you can even die if things go wrong because it is high paced sport and I have seen deaths caused by the injuries sustained. You might want to see what happened with Frankie Campbell which even now makes me feel so bad and the referee should have been banned.
Yeah! I agree on the point that it's reasonable for boxers to have high prizes because they do it in exchange of their health and wellness. However, I'm just sad that UFC fighters, which not only could get head injuries but also broken arms and legs, are less payed. Their contracts way lower than teh boxers. Thus any mixed martial arts competitors deserve a pay increase.
There are some lucrative prize money these fighters get but really they are risking their life for it and personally I would never risk my life for money because eventually you cannot buy life with money no matter how rich you are or how famous you are.
Well, you cam say it because you are not in love with the sport. But for the athletes out there, they are willing to takes risks because their passion is to fight. Sometimes it is not always about money Smiley.
110  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: My Plan if ever happens again ATH on: November 12, 2020, 10:05:02 AM
Sana rin sa mga may hawak ng malalaking coin diyan if ever na mangyari man ang ATH this year or kahit next year sana naman huwag ibenta lahat ang coins na hawak niyo bagkus ihold ang ilang poryento
Buti sana kung umabot man lang yung coins ko before the possible ATH by the end of this year, kaso wala na! Naiconvert ko na lahat sa php at nakikita ko ring paubos na eventually huhuhu. Kapag minamalas ka nga naman, nataon pa na sobra akong nagipit sa pera dahil lamang sa delay na pagbigay ng sahod. I'm very disappointed to what I've done but on the other side I think that's the wisest decision. Ayoko naman kasi magkanda utang utang para lang magkaroon ng allowance. Peace of mind still matters the most for me Cheesy.

Kay mga kabayan, huwag niyo ako tularan as much as possible. Kung kaya naman maghigpit ng sinturon para mapreserve ang coins niyo eh gawin niyo. Lahat tayo matagal na hinintay ang bull run na ito so you should make the most of it. Siguro subok na lang ako ulit next year once bumaba ang price. Good luck sa inyong lahat.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is a conspiracy theory on: November 12, 2020, 03:46:59 AM
What will happen if they don't find a vaccine and countrie
Step 8 Venezuela,Iraq,Kuwait will be the first targets
I'm curious why you come up on these countries? I mean, there are smaller and weaker countries so why don't larger countries focus on them first? Another possibility which could happen is that countries will form alliances once again — modern version of Axis Powers vs Allied Powers indeed. Of course even a superpower country can't beat if several countries teamed up against them Grin.

Nonetheless, I don't want to think such ideas and I don't want it to happen either. Let's keep positive guys especially knowing that Pfizer's vaccine candidate is already showing 90% effectiveness. Stop what ifs please.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 12, 2020, 01:30:12 AM
Let me rephrase it, Bitcoin needs more willing and dedicated adopters. In my opinion, it is better to have an all male crypto sphere than to have girl which are not dedicated and will hate btc in the long run (vice versa).

Cryptocurrency doesn't pick any gender in the first place Smiley. You know that, right? Whether you are male, female, LGBTQ+ it doesn't matter. The main requirement for you to engage with bitcoin is you must know to handle your assets. That's it! If you are fit then you're good to go.

115  Economy / Economics / Re: You will be able, slowly, to pay one bitcoin for 25000 pizza. Any other opinion? on: November 06, 2020, 12:18:27 PM
Today's price ONLY (!!!!) ~2497 pizza / Bitcoin...

The all time high ~3300 pizza / Bitcoin (December 2017).
Well, getting a 2497 pizzas (lots of tummy are needed to finsih this amount lol) is lesser than ATH's 3300 but still it we can consider it a good sign. Let's be glad that the price of btc continue to rise as time goes by. What a lively moment! So I think it would be a little bit harsh for emphasizing the word "only" Grin.

Oh! By the way, i love the dedication you show on how you update your thread hehe.
116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie But Not Beginner on: November 06, 2020, 04:29:46 AM
Who are merit sources?
but mind you most of these merit source dont distribute merits they allow it to decay if you ask me why I don't know.
Hahaha, I do believe it's not true but you know what, I may agree on some point because that's what it really seems. Well, most probably they are just picky.
Volunteer ghost workers
[snip]
Wth, are there members here whose main agenda is only to find mistakes from co members and report it? He has a special place in hell if ever lol but I think there is no such human like that.

Don't Beg and avoid PM
Do not beg for merit here it's highly prohibited and don't send an unnecessary PM it might get you kicked out remember here is no friend zone everybody is on the watch and don't abuse any high profile users to avoid red flags. Be positive you are on the right forum but be extremely careful don't make the mistake of some Newbie but not Beginners members made.
Some or someone like you? I have a gut feeling that what you said was based on your own experience because I can feel the grudge in your words Cheesy.
117  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Naniniwala ba kayo dito? on: November 05, 2020, 01:10:46 PM
Of course it's their own way of protecting their business against abusive users. Kung tutuusin wala namang masama mag comply sa KYC as long as reputable and legut yung pagbibigyan mo. I presume lahat ng members dito ay merin coins.ph account, so what's the difference on others?
[snip]

Hindi anonymous ang bitcoin though. Once na nagsend ka ng BTC mo sa isang KYC exchange, pretty much affiliated na sayo ung address ginamit mo, and ung previous transactions na ginawa mo. Since obviously, completely public ang ledger ng Bitcoin.
@john1010 ~ In short, bitcoin is pseudonymous Wink.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN WE STILL GET THE 2017 BULL IN THIS 2020? on: November 05, 2020, 08:58:22 AM
I think the difference between this year and 2017 is almost the same as many coins and altcoins that are able to pump so high and of course many investors are benefiting from this, especially those who invest in the Defi project. So, there is still a possibility that the bull market will come later this year or next year.
If we look at the conditions that have occurred in the market this year it is almost similar to 2017, but if we look at the project development perspective this year and 2017 I think it is very different, because the percentage of project scams this year is still much higher bigger than 2017.
You have a good point somehow but actually it doesn't matter because most of the coins established way back 2017 which you are pertaining about didn't end up a scam but ended up as a sh*tcoin. See Grin? And besides, as far as I'm concern, the hype of ICOs are not the reason of the lively market happened in 2017. It is the the opportunity opened right after btc reached its ATH — chamge my mind.

But going back to the question, I am absolutely sure that the prosperous year of 2017 will happen again soon. I'm just skeptical that it will happen this year or even next year. No one knows what is far beyond.
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it wise to deposit $ 100 in bitcoin before the united states vote? on: November 04, 2020, 05:58:25 AM
I don't see any strong correlation between the US election and bitcoin. So for me, it doesn't matter whether you invested before/on/after the election. Maybe you can take it into your considerations after hearing that Trump bans crypto once and for all or Biden will show support crypto adoption if you will vote him (vice versa) but since there's no such news then don't expect anything. The market will flow like it used to.

Instead of focusing in the external factors, give more attention on how you will handle that $100 worth of coins and make it grow. Good luck Smiley.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown in Europe can their economy survive this?. on: November 04, 2020, 04:32:47 AM
Worse? Oh boy! There are so many ideas of how our beloved Earth will be broken down into pieces right now. However, despite of all the misfortunes happening not only happening in Europe but for the rest of the world, I choose to stay positive live the day like these things are not existing. Mind over matter indeed Cheesy, just be optimistic and you will attract good vibes eventually.

Anyway, gong back to the topic, I don't feel that Europe will suffer very hard as their second lockdown approaching. Germany and France are developed countries already. We can expect that they can sustain longer times of quarantine with a minimal change in the quality of life. Don't get me wrong guys, I am not discounting what they are going through right now. But try to compare their situation to the situation of people in some portion of Asia where pandemic and disastrous calamities are currently occuring.
