461  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19's "New Normal" is Creating Opportunities in Crypto on: July 23, 2020, 07:53:45 AM
Where are you based exactly? Is Forsage the only notable in your area or are there other ones?
I'm from Philippines Smiley.

Yes! I think so. The authorities here found out that Forsage's founder name is Lado Okhotnikov. I'm not sure what is his nationality (hmm maybe he came somewhere from Europe) and I'm not sure which countries are affected by his scam. What I only knew is that my fellowmen get crazed by this ponzi scheme couple of weeks ago and now they're f*cked up. How sad.

EDIT- FACT: I CANNOT ORGANIZE THESE MESSAGES PROPERLY
That's okay, it's a matter of practice I guess. Now delete one of those two consecutive posts I emphasized a while ago. Then edit the remaining post by deleting everything and pasting this code:

The pandemic will end soon, no matter if that takes a long time. We will see an increase in the opportunities through the digital world or offline world because people need jobs to make money, and they need to survive in the middle of this pandemic. [...]
[/quote]
ehhhhhhhhh I wouldn't be so sure. America is hitting record-breaking levels with new cases while some Asian countries are very minimal. The reason behind that is because, with even a handful of cases, they have 0 problems locking down the country all over again it seems. [...]
[/quote]
I think that is the government's job on how they can warn their people about the Covid-19. Maybe they should learn from the other country which can reduce the infection people, but that depend on that government of willing to learn from other country or not. If the infection number still increases, maybe that government needs to lock down the country once again and apply the protocols. [...]

It supposed to look better after you do it, good luck. Also, instead of using the symbol "[...]" to make the other post shorter, you could simply erase the content and put "[snip]" to make it even shorter. Study how the code works, I know you can do it Smiley.
462  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19's "New Normal" is Creating Opportunities in Crypto on: July 23, 2020, 04:35:37 AM
Unfortunately, I haven't found even a single sign of opportunity opening created by crypto amidst the pandemic. And you know what, the opposite happened actually. Many crypto related scams are sprouting here in our country. The scammers are taking advantage of fhe current situation where most of people are staying at their homes and only depending on online jobs/investments to keep their living. *sigh Like Forsage, this one scammed many people here. Stay away from it.

Pick up the phone and start dialing!!!

Dude, you should merge it into one post. Just a friendly advice Wink.
463  Other / Meta / Re: Do you check the merit history of users before meriting them? on: July 23, 2020, 03:13:15 AM
No, I didn't check their merit history before giving one. The thing that I usually look is if the post caught my attention and aligned with my interest somehow or it is humorous but stating facts. That's all Grin. Regardless of whatever rank they are, I'll give it to them as long as they don't have a red tag. Because for me, a person with a negative feedback (assuming proven guilty) is no longer deserve for a simple recognition like merits.
464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why bitcoin never a ponzi on: July 23, 2020, 01:38:48 AM
^ As I understand, OP did not tell bitcoin is a Ponzi. OP trying to explain and everything is right, you never call bitcoin is a Ponzi.
Indeed and that is good because he is learning thr rigjt way. Though most of us already knew about it, I'm sure many beginners will still get enlightened by his post. Nice effort.
Because in my country, when you tell people that you have an x amount of bitcoin, they will say that bitcoin is a scam. That anticipation was always on their mind if they will never know that bitcoin is the decentralized and only a group of people who may we probably called a Ponzi scheme on their business using bitcoin. Because bitcoin here is easy to use as a currency.
Well, consider yourself lucky. Me? The moment I explain that bitcoin is a cryptocurrency or a sort of digital currency, they are now starting to back out. Maybe because it sounds too complicated for them? I don't know Roll Eyes.
Nevertheless, if someone fully understands what is bitcoin and what is the mechanic on it and how it works, they will never call it a Ponzi scheme.
How we can do it if they are already close minded to new innovations? Based on my own experience, what I see is that they are afraid to go away from the conventional fiat.
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: July 22, 2020, 09:09:03 AM
It's not that exciting anymore because these two are not in the welterweight division.
But why? I know that fights in the HW division are not as explosive compared to lighter divisions but dude I feel amazed every time I watch a one punch KO comimg from those heavy hitters Cheesy. Yeah! They are boring to watch most of the time due to their slow pace but you can somehow appreciate them on how they grasp their breath and continue throwing punches until their lungs pop out lmao.
And so far in that division they are the only three boxers, after that no more hype in the next 4-10 rankings. So obviously the money on that division only circles between Fury, Wilder and AJ.
Hahaha sad but true. The world is just focusing on these three. Well, I believe the other HW are as great as them particularly Whyte and Povetkin but the problem is that they lack charisma. Maybe they will get more recognition soon as they climb up the ladder and get title shots.
Even though forum members have been voting we seem to be stuck on 59 votes so please keep the votes coming in, with all the pages views and posts we should have had more than 59 by now  Grin
My bad, I will vote now Grin.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: July 22, 2020, 05:43:37 AM
If Wilder win then it could not be their last fight as Fury might request a rematch specially if they have rematch clause. I think the pressure is more on Wilder to perform better than the last fight obviously.
I don't think so. A trilogy on a fight is the longest we can have usually, it serves as the final conclusion for the rivalry. So if ever we get a Fury vs Wilder 4, I don't think it will sell to people like on its preceding fights because you know it gets boring to watch the same match up over and over again Grin.

Instead of demanding for a part 4, I guess it would be a better idea to taste new flavor lol. Hmm, maybe Fury vs Joshua?
467  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you an asset or liability? on: July 22, 2020, 03:37:40 AM
I'm glad you now realized the true nature of bounty campaigns nowadays Cheesy. Good thing you shift now into sig campaigns. Though you are only earning few bucks, that's okay because everything is just a side line tho — we should not treat it as a career.  What more important is the knowledge and fun you get while you are staying here. But the sad part is most members (especially the newbies) are too focused on tokens/btc rewards which is wrong tsk.
Yes, there were few and most of good projects pay btc but one must be a quality poster which I am not.
No, don't let yourself down. The fact that you are getting merit means that you are really a quality poster. Remember that a quality post doesn't mean full of technicalities Wink.
468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: July 22, 2020, 12:45:55 AM
Overall, I agree on it Smiley. Yeah! We should really start treating it mainly as a digital currency and not a store of value since it is supposed to be its purpose. I also share the same sentiment with price speculation because it's totally pointless though it creates a little bit hype for the others.

However, the price volatility was already there and you can't close your eyes to unsee it. It was a clear opportunity to earn thus people tend to really use it on their advantage. Besides, each one of us here got the side of being business minded so why don't we grab it? Isn't it? I know it seems we are shifting to the main vision of crypto but who's to blame? I believe all of us are just adapting in current nature of bitcoin. If many use it for trading then expect the rest to do the same thing.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 1.1 BTC in 35 Days on Sportsbet.io on: July 21, 2020, 05:21:56 AM
It's too big, that also needs a good capital to others to keep or know the pattern of their betting. Before winning big their is a need to know some pattern (which may not visible in just few games) or which never can see unless we tried to bet like OP 2000x bets as his experience since 2016.

no theres no patterns here in sports betting because the players and the teams are changing from time to time  but is there a pattern on a non sport betting gambling ? i believe there isnt too
You don't actually need long experience same as with the OP or even patterns (if there really is lol) because you only need to depend on technical analysis. So if you are fond of sports long time ago already and worrying since you are new in sportsbetting, don't worry. Achieving 1.1 btc or even more is not impossible since you already familiarize how the game works Smiley.

@shoreno ~ Yeah! I believe so too because most of the games remaining are luck-based already like dice, roulettes, slot machines and strategy-based like card games.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins unite! on: July 21, 2020, 02:26:39 AM
what makes Shitcoins still last as this long, possible is because there are still people who invest in them. Shitcoin, ShitTeam or ShitDev they should it be destroyed.Cheesy
You nailed it! Scammers will never die as long as there are people who are willing to invest in new tokens. If we just all stick on bitcoin or reputable old alts then no complaints will ever exist. However, that's the sad part because even though most of us already had a clue on how scammers work most of us still gamble and chase the "next bitcoin" Roll Eyes. And as an ending, baam! Experiencing scams frequently. So think very carefully before doing actions guys.
471  Economy / Economics / Re: How will look the world in 2100? on: July 20, 2020, 01:38:34 PM
However, in the future, most hard work will be done by robots (which we can see today)[...]

Actually, this is one of the scarier possibilities to me. You can think of job automation as a way of fixing labor shortages. Another way to think of them: there will be fewer and fewer jobs for humans. [...]

That's really what I hate in a concept where robots will dominate our purposes here in this world. In 2100, if we engaged in super futuristic technologies, probably humans will have a hard time to live for themselves. [...]
Don't get me wrong guys, I also think that AI domination would be possible but happening only for the next 80 years? Hmmm, I highly doubt. I still do believe that our world will run mainly by manpower at least in the near future. I don't know if I'm the only one feeling this but I think the pace of technological changes are not so fast. How ironic that smartphone and other gadgets are updating its specs every couple of months but problems on public transportation on many countries seems never ending (like here). That is just only one of the examples we can think of. IMHO what's happening is that men are really crazy on improving the leisure part of living but slow on fulfilling the basic needs. Unlike Japan which is now living in the year 2030 lmao Grin (just kidding).

My own insight regarding this topic is this.. The rich becomes richer and the poor becomes poorer. Money is power. If you don't have it, you lose Undecided.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ECOIN on: July 20, 2020, 09:40:06 AM
"Ecoin", this is a dumb name imo.
Maybe a not appealing name for a crypto but actually  this is not new to me. The same name (it was eCoin though) applied for the money used for in game purchases. Just saying Grin. I'm sure Filipino players can relate.
Quote from: Movie Mr. Robot
Ecoin (Evil Coin) the evil corporate entity known as E Corp
The name speaks for its nature Roll Eyes. It makes more obvious that trusting this coin is a bad idea.

@OP ~ Anyway, since this coin is proven suspicious then why don't you create a thread on the Reputation section to serve as warning. It will help other members to become aware of this and avoid investing.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: July 20, 2020, 05:14:39 AM
Crypto gives me a chance to live a better life in the future.
I'm pretty sure it did for most of us Smiley. Crypto investing takes part for the reasons why I am able to  finish my college smoothly and why I able to finance the board exam on my own. Without it, I am imagining that maybe I will live miserable, hopeless and drunkard (good for me it didn't happen lol). That's why I look into this as not a simple source of income anymore — it is already a part of my life. It has now a sentimental value for me thus I can say that I'll keep on investing as long as I could.
474  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do we need to know about Bitcoin? on: July 20, 2020, 02:58:07 AM
Why you should know Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole? Coz why not Grin? I don't see any disadvantage effects of aiming to get a broader knowledge. Don't isolate your mind on the ideas you got used to, explore new things. Enjoyment is guaranteed hehehe. The feeling that you knew many things boosts your ego.

This is one of my mair reasons aside from money talks lol.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 20, 2020, 01:07:50 AM
^ Looks like a decent card with a good mix of veterans and upcoming fighters.
Aside from the main event and Werdum vs Gustafsson, what interests me is that new guy from the Welterweight division ~ Khamzat Chimaev. This young man is very hungry for victory, he already got a 7 - 0 wins streak. 4 of them by knockout and 3 of them by submission, Shocked. What a well rounded guy. I will surely look forward in his upcoming match and see if he really got the champion caliber in his blood.
476  Other / Meta / Re: [Quiz] Bitcointalk history of hacks on: July 19, 2020, 09:37:40 AM
I got 6/10. Not a failing nor an outstanding grade hahaha. In all fairness, I find the questions easier this time in a sense that using deductive reasoning could be quite effective Grin. But I'm not proud of it tho.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter hacked account. Details about what really happened on: July 19, 2020, 06:04:57 AM
At this time, we believe attackers targeted certain Twitter employees through a social engineering scheme. What does this mean? In this context, social engineering is the intentional manipulation of people into performing certain actions and divulging confidential information.
Social engineering? Do you also mean it includes hypnotism? Correct me if I'm wrong my fellow Filipinos, I think we had a local version for it which is called "Budol budol" Cheesy. Where the fraudsters will suddenly approach you out of nowhere and then talk with you a lot until you let your guard down and will not notice that you are already complying with their demands.

But I still do not believe on this thing because all of us got their own free will. If you really do not want to spill the confidential data then you won't do it at all. So maybe there's an extortion happened or the worst is an inside job.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in a wrong way on: July 19, 2020, 03:45:52 AM
If they cannot or do not know how to research then they can ask people here about a particular project that they want to support or invest, it's free to ask here and people will give you their opinion, it's for you to appreciate and study their posts and opinions but it's a win-win situation for all members here.
Well I agree on that. There are members who really never getting tired advising beginners what to do and where to start but of course there are also members who prefer the harsh way so brace yourself Cheesy. They will made you realized that "you should exert effort on studying and don't depend on spoonfeeding", something like that lol. Nevertheless, both things will help you to grow.
But don't get me wrong, if you will ask here, you will get a lot of suggestions regarding which coin to invest. And the truth is most of them are suggesting coins or tokens that they are holding.
That was natural because we're here in bitcointalk which mainly focused on crypto discussions. Though there are members who suggest some to invest in other things unrelated to crypto, they are minimal and still depending on the situation of the one who seek help Smiley.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gold Medalist Bought Bitcoin on: July 19, 2020, 01:47:08 AM
To introduce celebrities into crypto universe is a smart movement from many crypto exchanges and other related businesses, as they work promoting not only crypto currencies, but also crypto businesses. Although I can't assure this athlete is being paid to promote bitcoin in this case, I see no problem on this.
I don't think she was only paid for doing such publicity because it would be ineffective in the first place. Imagine, why would I pay someone who is not so popular and not so influential person unlike Hollywood celebrities/famous athletes to advertise bitcoin (even let's say the Binance as well) Grin? So for me, it was a true and genuine adoption. What a good news after all, it brings positive vibe for all of us.
480  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why newbies involves in copying already treated topic on: July 18, 2020, 12:53:48 PM
I don't know but as a reader I somehow know if a post really comes from the OP or from an article, cause there's a written tone when a topic comes straigth from a crypto news article, wikipedia, etc.
Yeah, you can spot it by means of imagining how it sounds like while reading. If it sounds too formal then most probably it was a plagiarized post. The other method I use is by checking his post history Grin. Inspect whether there is a pattern in his way of posting or not. For example, if his recent post was very long and clean but almost the rest of his previous posts are one liners then he might really be a plagiarist.

But of course you cannot purely rely on these methods because they are considered as assumptions only. You must still find the original source. Evidences won't lie.
