101  Economy / Speculation / Re: I Bet Bitcoin Reaches $10k In the Next 5-7 Days! on: January 05, 2020, 02:52:27 PM
Really doubt it, no pump for bitcoin this week, forget about $10K, bitcoin has struggling to break $8K for months. Bitcoin price so volatile, yes it can rapidly change within $100-$500 within hours, it drops to $6870 then rise to $7300 less than 24 hours, but it seems normal in this crypto market. The sentiment has changed from sell to buy obviously, but the price wouldn't fluctuate that extensively.

Well i don't know what's the hurry. There are people who seem to be quite eager to break 10k in a few days or weeks. Try to look at the bigger picture. From the start of 2019, the value of bitcoin has considerably moved upwards. 10k will come and people should just wait for it. And it's not as if everyone who owns btc will sell at 10k
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: New year and forecasts on: January 05, 2020, 01:22:37 PM
I am glad how market is still not ready to give up to bears. It is successfully maintaining the price range above $7k and bears are losing their hold. A good sign for bulls and if they push enough, price can easily go to $9k as there aren't many strong resistance till $9k if the one at $7500 is broken. I am just waiting for it to breached.
This year on the whole can be profitable due to the halving as well.

I don't even think the bears are even holding the market anymore. 2019 for has been a good year in spite of us going down from above 10k. If you consider how we started that year, this is more than a decent improvement. If we can sustain this kind of movement for majority of 2020, i think there's a good chance of breaking 10 to 12k. I'm not even thinking about all time highs here. It probably will take another year or two before we get to that point again.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Trend for 2020. on: January 05, 2020, 12:37:36 PM
No significant increase occurred because it is currently in the sideways range of $ 6500- $ 8000.
All are waiting for prices to break resistance levels or support levels to wait for the moment.
Price increases always occur after halving, not before halving. But not an increase in an instant but slowly as in previous years.

So we are still waiting for the right level if the support is still not reliable then this will continue until approaching halving.
I know this is a fairly stable condition but it is likely to rise from my estimation because currently growth continues to exist so that the market will recover.
Halving will be a few more months for me this is enough to keep going up from the start.

Well we have our own insights for 2020 and only time will tell which predictions will eventually happen. It could go either way. I personally wouldn't mind if we go sideways the whole year. Though i think there will be significant up points and down points at certain times. Overall, i will consider it a good year if we're able to sustain this kind of movement.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC TO 5K$ soon on: January 05, 2020, 09:29:41 AM
Tbh, even I thought were going to see $5k last month, but I was wrong and it's proven for how many times since last month up to now that support at $7k is strong. Look at the past few days, we've dropped hundred of bucks but goes up again above $7k. If $5k is really possible, it should have happened last month where in it has the greatest chance because of holidays, people are selling to have some money. If $5k won't be seen in February, maybe the chance of seeing it became lesser.

Lol. It can go down to 5k without any significant reason. It did so a lot of times. The fud and anxiety factor can't be removed and once triggered, the price can again snowball to even less than 5k. The thing is, so what? We've seen numerous times that bitcoin rallied at a certain point during a dump. 2019 is proof that bitcoin will recover even if it slides below a feared price.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of BNB? on: January 04, 2020, 07:43:34 AM
Binance coin is a coin that should be in your portfolio, but do not expect big returns because Binance coin already made a huge returns and price didn´t dump as much as other altcoins dumped.
But on the other hand Binance coin will retain its value even in worse times.
Well I don't really sure about Binance coin could retain its value in worse times. I mean the only thing that makes BNB achieve the price to this certain extent is IEO and there's no other reason than that. Maybe it has the utilization to get discounted fee from Binance exchange service but it's still not enough to hold its price when the worse condition seem to come. The fact that it has made thousands percent ROI could also contribute to people's opinion that this coin might be overvalued. The coin utilization is basically the same as other exchanges' coin after all.

Well i think as long as binance is in operation, this coin will be relevant. Either for gas or investments. I just don't expect it to be one of the top coins in the market. Value-wise, i doubt it'll see a time when it'll be that hyped up that the price would soar. It's more of a transaction coin, i believe.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Recap for the year 2019 on: January 03, 2020, 01:34:05 PM
Happy New Year to all! For cryptocurrency, 2020 will be a year of buildup, as I thought a week ago. Now more and more analysts are confident that Bitcoin will soon give a very big impetus, while they, as always, substantiate their theories. Therefore, it may be that everything will change for the better this year.
I am also sure that in 2020 cryptocurrency will be a better change, only I have not fully believed, because today is still the beginning of the year and nothing has happened yet.

What you expect something to happen outright at the first days of the year? No catalyst for any major movement dude. The price won't pump just because it's the beginning of 2020. One thing that almost all crypto enthusiast is anticipating is the coming halving, which may have a significant effect. Or may not have a significant effect as well. 2019 did set the market up for a nice recovery from the previous year.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee in Trouble ? on: January 03, 2020, 11:56:30 AM
It will be great to see this guy eat his own p**** when bitcoin failed to reach up to his prediction, bitcoin will definitely surge this year but not up to the prediction of McAfee, it's simply over exaggerated

I doubt that he will suck his dick for bitcoin's sake. I mean this guy is a a**hole so of course we don't believed that kind of prediction, it's exaggerated. But guess what, since that statement, he make a lot of followers who totally believed in him, LOL.

And he make a lot of money out of those fools, maybe he was secretly dumping his bitcoin during the height and making public stunt in order for him to make money. He play us really good, or at least those who thought that $1 million is achievable in 2020.

It was a ridiculous claim right off the bat. And sensible people would know that this guy didn't really mean what he said. Too radical. We all know he's crazy, though i like his stand on the role of btc in future transactions. But that stunt about 1million btc and eating his dick off is just totally a trollling statement. He's probably laughing at those who were affected by it.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any change this year? on: January 03, 2020, 11:11:54 AM
What are you going to do with 2020, give up or continue to survive.
so far the market has increased compared to the beginning of 2019 I think this is a good start for crypto and I chose to survive because I am sure in the future crypto will be better

How can you be so sure then? 2019 can be considered as a bounce back year for bitcoin and probably most of the market. And a lot of us will stick with it. But the future promises nothing. I'm optimistic but i also know all too well that putting too much confidence in bitcoin can be costly, especially in the short term. 2020 may or may not be a continuation of 2019's good movement.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profit matters most in crypto currency on: January 03, 2020, 08:08:51 AM
My brothers, anything crypto currency is highly volatile, don't hope on a hopeless hope, whenever you see profit, take it.

I will keep saying it,
in crypto currency profit is the game, you can always take your profit no matter how small and you will be happier at d end

Like I always say, small money in ur bank account is far better than $3k in ur online crypto wallet/exchange,

it can only be better the moment it's converted to your local currency.

Invest in crypto, safeguard your profit.

NB: Just my believes and mindset, I would love to learn even further from everyone here.
Ignore my English too

Happy new year.
Yeah your right as no one is noob enough to invest in crypto currencies without expecting profit in return. Even a small profit, grab it as it is far better than losing your hard earned money.

But make sure that you know what you are doing as earning in crypto is very difficult if you didn't know what you are doing. Like buying in low price and sell it in high price, what you need to know is when is the right time to sell it.

Yeah right. People always say that. Take out the small profit and then when the price shoots up, they're filled with regret and urge to get back into the market only to make emotional decisions. I guess having a plan is what's best here. Be aware of what's happening but base your decisions on what your plan is. Profit comes to those who know what they're doing.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token? vs Coin? on: January 03, 2020, 07:01:01 AM

These days, i am looking at Digifinex which does a lot of airdrop promotion.

But among several projects, BPX Token caught my attention because it is the only one with "Token"

So what does it mean by "Token?" Other coins do not have that term though...
A token is a digital asset issued by a project that can be used as a payment instrument in the project ecosystem.
I took the reference from this site: https://digitalis.id/blog/perbarison-coin-vs-token-cryptocurrency-and-relations-with-blockchain/

To put it simply, it doesn't have any actual value yet. Most of them are not in any exchange sites and personally, i think it's a gamble if you get yourself paid in tokens for bounties and services that you offer. Though it's likelier that these tokens would have higher spikes and amount movement once they get in on an exchange site compared to coins that already have value. Again as i've said, i think it's a gamble.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be Gift of Santa Claus in this Christmas for Bitcoin Hodlers? on: January 02, 2020, 02:37:20 PM
Now, I think the last 1 year is not good for the BTC hodlers. So, I just ask Gift of Santa Claus this Christmas for Bitcoin Hodlers?

Since the Christmas is done, what happened to your request from Santa Claus?

Was it given to you?

Looking at the price of Bitcoin in the past week in this holiday season, there is not much movement. Santa Claus must either not true at all or blind or he knows that we've not been good enough.

Well i think we're all grown ups now who doesn't really believe santa's real. Moving from under 4k to start the year to above 7k, with a few times breaching 10k, i'd say we got a little better that what we're supposed to. I didn't expect any large movement during the holidays and santa pretty much did what he's always been doing. Nothing.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin stats to kickoff 2020 on: January 02, 2020, 01:19:13 PM
I think 379 times is far fewer times than the actual deaths Bitcoin has been given. It's now 10 years old, or even older, depending on how you look at it, and I bet even in the first couple of years alone people have poured all kinds of deaths on them a thousand times. I hope this year even more do that. It seems only when people think it's dead that it can truly grow.

Well not a lot of people were paying attention during bitcoins first few years and it's value wasn't at all significant to consider those first "deaths". I expect a few more this year and a couple of resurrections as well lol.  Quite a good job of taking down the stats Smiley some are quite interesting to know.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin experience in 2019 on: January 02, 2020, 12:28:02 PM
Hey I'm back. haven't been on the forum for 1.5 yrs. Been on Twitter. But yeh 2019 was a good year for me in crypto.  1. I had too much in alt coins ,tron, and didn't gain much of it. My stack went all the way up. From btc. Then I saw my stack crashed down lol. It was amazing. But yeh still got a chunk back from hodling in 2017. I have been buying the whole year from 11k down. Little by little. I stayed for the 2020, 100k price well that didn't happen. Let's see the halvening now. Also stayed for the 1 million price prediction. I feel stocks is running n gunning at a good pace. But I'm still stacking satoshis.

Surely market price of bitcoin will soon increase in the market because the technology is also rising and the bitcoin is having a lot of influence in the online world. If bitcoin gets a lot of investors and users that should increases its demand in the market it will increases its market price in the market for sure.

I think you just need to be patient in your investment since it was a long term investment if you buy bitcoin on 7k$ down it should give you a good profit.

Lol 1 million price prediction? From old man mcaffee? The guy's bluffing. Though he garnered attention, we'll give him that. 2019 was a bit stagnant for me. Probably because i don't really plan on being active. Just accumulating every now and then. Bitcoin is a project that will take years. That's my take on it at least. So even if it doesn't go up to 1 million or even half that, i know bitcoin will be essential in the future. That's what i'm holding for.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 - Set your Target and Make your Plans on: January 02, 2020, 08:24:01 AM
Very interesting stats

Defiantly having 1 BTC now days is not for every average user and the more time passes it harder gets to obtain BTC at a good rate

The more people get to know about cryptos, the more exchange happen daily, the more the coin grows and this is happening a very fast pace

Digital is the better option, government will probably attempt to hold it back even further
Right! Digital is a good investment choice for us. Investing in time and in time can bring you large sums of money. Not all governments accept bitcoin payments, so you have to have your own strategy. What are your goals and plans for 2020? And I'm waiting for bitcoin to increase in price to sell and buy when prices fall.

Well bitcoin isn't the only digital asset though. And i can say my plans for the btc i'm holding can go well beyond 2020. I agree that the halving this may will be something to put into consideration, but mostly for those people who have plans for their bitcoins this year. It's just accumulate as much btc as i can for now. The halving isn't  something i'm thinking about too much.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi has failed again! on: January 02, 2020, 07:11:30 AM
Come on. The guy claimed he's satoshi nakamoto. That in itself should show you that he isn't to be taken seriously in crypto. He's probably just trying to cause a ruckus back then. I don't think it's worth it to listen or be affected by whatever he's saying. The opposite may very well be what's going to happen. Who knows.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2009 - 2019 Bitcoins First Decade Closes With . . . on: January 01, 2020, 12:21:43 PM
Well there are doubts. And i don't want to base the next 10 years from what happened to btc the past decade. A whole lot of things have changed now. But i'm optimistic about blockchain. The next 10 years could very well see the integration of blockchain into more mainstream transactions. Who knows, perhaps that will be a catalyst in shooting bitcoin back to the moon.
117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: January 01, 2020, 10:49:12 AM
Why not? I have known to a lot of people who usually do this during their office time, they are not bothering at all because they are maintaining both sides very carefully, It's not anything wrong for me, if your assigned work could have done well then you can do whatever you want. Since you can trade via your phone set so you may avail of this opportunity whenever you want, but if your working environment doesn't allow you then it should not be continued because you need to focus on trading actively.
But the thing is, the company has the access in all their worker's browsing history and datas on their computers. So all of the workers does not have privacy in their offices. I am not agree in the idea of trading during office hours so if you have permanent job and you do trading as a side line I must say that you should do trading after the office hours or maybe at home to prevent invasion of privacy.
can be through a smartphone, or even a laptop and personal modem, your opinion does occur in certain companies, especially Japanese companies. But as long as the productivity of workers is still within the established standards, I think doing other things is permissible, including accessing social media and YouTube in spare time. I personally do not have a problem about how to access it, but how to divide time in the same two fields and each clearly requires full concentration.

I guess it just boils down to whether your company allows that or not. Some are pretty lenient when it comes to non-work related activities and browsing non-work related sites. If your company allows that, then trading at work shouldn't be a big deal as long as it doesn't compromise your tasks. If the company doesn't allow that, the i wouldn't compromise my job. Trading can be done in your spare time anyway. No need to force it.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is your new year Resolution? on: January 01, 2020, 07:46:11 AM
it's time to recover after the bloody market for the past 2 years 2018 and 2019, it's time to promote and introduce bitcoin and crypto currencies to others out there to get lots of adoptions, I see a lot of big investors and big traders getting cheap stacks of coins last year , 2020 may be a better year for the crypto community

How was last year even bloody? I'd dsy it's a pretty good year where we've recovered decently from what happened last 2018. And resolutions are just all in the mind. You don't need to have a new year to put to practice.what you think will get you to your goals. It's the same for me. I was happy with what happened last year though i didn't feel the need to sell when the price broke 10k again. Just control my urges i guess.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat currencies on: January 01, 2020, 06:26:12 AM
I have lived my life hearing that USA economy is going to collapse and USD will collapse very soon but after 35 years of my life I haven’t seen reduction in US dollar strength rather it has increased. EURO has its own strengths but I don’t think it has the potential to replace bitcoin. For next 5 years US dollar will be the king after that I can’t say anything.

Yeah we probably won't witness the demise of the dollar in our life times. They can always kick the can further down the road, due to people still trying to get every dollar they can get, just because their paper is even worse.

Who knows. Some catalyst might just come in our lifetimes that would start the dollar's fall. It might be bitcoin, or some other crypto, or Gold or other physical asset. One thing's for sure, the governments and institutions that are backing up dollar and fiat in general, won't let that happen anytime soon. So that catalyst would have to be pretty grave and drastic for us to see it in our lifetime.
120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: January 01, 2020, 05:10:32 AM
self-confidence always appears automatically every time a trader gets a profit, various positive attitudes emerge and underlie the decision for the next order. To remain balanced, the profit target of the portfolio must be fully achieved close to 100%. If the opposite means it must be recognized as a weakness, and must find where the decision point that failed must be corrected or the condition will immediately turn into worsening anxiety.

I'm not sure if that's even good. A winning streak could mean the person would become too cocky with his or her trades. There's a difference between being confident in what you're doing and being recjless and cocky. The latter happens more often with newbie traders. Of course one needs to believe in himself and his ability to make efficient market readings to be a good trader. Though it's also essential that he know his capabilities and assets.
