101  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tax when moving Bitcoin between accounts and wallets on: January 05, 2021, 11:48:20 PM
Thanks for the answers! How about the transfer from Coinbase to my hardware wallet? Coinbase wouldn‘t know that I am transfering to myself. Do they only file 1099s when going from BTC to USD, or also for transfering BTC to a wallet?

As long as it is a regular Bitcoin to Bitcoin transactions no matter what kind of wallet it is this won't be considered taxable. Its the same as using Bitcoin in sending/paying it to another person with a different wallet this is considered as a payment transaction not some kind of trade transaction which you have a chance to be earning in return. Also @OP what is the thing that complicates you in this matter? Since wallet to wallet transfer without exchanging any cryptocurrency isn't really taxable so I am wondering why you are confused about this one.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Bitcoin goes off this Institutionalized expected Bull-Run? on: January 04, 2021, 09:31:05 PM
The most likely scenario here is these big companies instead of hodling it like what they have said is they will trigger a sell-off because they want to take profit and liquidate for cash. These big companies are not here for the long-term hodling of an asset they still here to make profit in order to do some "expansion" for their company as they needed the cash and now seeing news that they bought Bitcoin around 10,000$ I don't see them having any reasons why they won't begin selling it having more than double the profit right now. What's good about this is after they short Bitcoin is they can buy Bitcoin back to maybe at the same price on where they bought it originally or even cheaper which makes it a bad situation for us.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 03, 2021, 06:54:25 PM
Ok, this was probably the hardest game of Milan as they are down 1 guy and playing in 10 and they still manage to score 2 goals! Amazing!

I told in a previous post that Ac Milan might lose today or make a draw but it seems that even if they're playing in 10 people they are able to get the victory. However, game is not over yet and we can still see goals in this game.
What's great about AC Milan at the moment is they have to play with 10 players after one of the players got a red card midway through the first half. But AC Milan was able to dominate the match and currently they scored their second goal even though there were only 10 players. They have continued to maintain their unbeaten streak to date. A great fight for AC Milan.

I'm not sure Benevento can score and end the game with a draw. AC Milan will secure this victory by relaxing their attacks a little. Although there is still time, it is difficult to say AC Milan failed to keep the win until the end.

The game was supposed to be 3-0 if Kessie was on target on his last attempt and didn't hit the post that would be amazing with an assist to Leao. The star here is really Donnarumma with his usuall goalkeeping finesse where he catches the ball from the corners like a basketball player everytime there is a corner and blocks shots on any attempt, players and coaches must commend on what he did for them in that match. Overall they made the necessary adjustments for a match like that where Tonali is missing, a great game for them.
104  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: looking for good business parners coin developer and exchngers on: January 03, 2021, 06:03:56 PM
This is not the right way to open up a business pitch, yeah you already said what you want but the thing you are missing is what you can offer to them and a little bit more information about your project since people who want to be with your business partners will want to know what kind of business they will get into. Aside from that you are a lower ranking member here who is throwing a random business pitch which just makes you a little bit untrustworthy because you lack the credentials especially with your current post.
105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Maximalism Has Won on: January 03, 2021, 05:09:16 PM
TBH I really hate both Bitcoin Maximalist and Altcoiners as they always believe in their side of the story, if you are seeing words of a one-sided story or with some kind of bias you will always not get the full picture of anything. That's why when newbies believe someone with a one-sided story or prediction they will always end up having a bad decision when it comes to trading as what they based it on is with bias. Its wrong to be one of those person so I think the best way to react in this is not to be one of them but always remain neutral as possible.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PSA: Fees are cheap right now on: January 03, 2021, 07:46:09 AM
This might just be temporary as probably people will start sending/transferring their Bitcoins again thus triggering another rise in network fees. We might gotten a breather here but for sure this won't last as what mk4 already posted the fees right now are already in a rise again so I won't be surprise if it will go back up to an unreasonable price. For people who needs to transfer their Bitcoin I think you need to do it fast before your opportunity runs out.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 03, 2021, 07:15:29 AM
According to rumours, Manchester Utd hopes to sign Jadon Sancho for less than 100 million pounds this season. It seems that Manchester Utd are ahead of other big clubs to sign him. But it is still not clear that whether Dortmund will let him go or Sancho would prefer going to Manchester Utd.

The negotiations were on quite some stages between United and Sancho in last transfer window. However, Dortmund on other hand were adamant on not going below a price tag I think which was little over 100 million Euros. United wanted to negotiated about the price tag but Dortmund never agreed to it. They gave their own deadline to United about Sancho but it never went serious for Dortmund after that deadline was also passed. It is gonna be still same if they are still going to negotiate like earlier.

Right now Diallo to United is going strong atm for United. Haven't seen any strong transfers rumours other than that linking up with United.

It's either Manchester United go to their price tag or Sancho himself request to a transfer to ManU which will ultimately pressure Dortmund on giving in their highest offer which I think didn't happen in previous negotiations as Sancho I think is ok in staying in Dortmund or maybe is looking for other competitive club. What Man United can do now is talk to Sancho or maybe give him a better offer/contract that would make him request a transfer.
108  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bustabit Winning Strategy [WTS] on: January 02, 2021, 09:17:15 PM
From my past experiences and what I have mentioned before in a related kind of post is people who already have a winning strategy that works for them won't be trying to sell their strategy as they are in fact earning already from what they are doin, I even doubt that they will even make it public that they have such strategy as the more players know what to do chances are the strategy won't be effective anymore. So @OP what is your reason on why you are trying to sell your strategy if it already works for you? It makes no sense.
109  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: I won bitcoin on an anonymous online casino and I am totally lost about taxes. on: January 02, 2021, 08:31:46 PM
For me personally I think you are back into the corner here since chances are you are playing on an unregistered gambling site that is not allowed to operate in the US and you want your earnings to make it look like it is not laundered somehow. In this kind of situation I think you must come clean just admit that you won your cyptocurrencies in a anonymous gambling site which you need to provide to them, I don't know the legalities here whether you will pay a fine or they will confiscate your winnings but you must just face it head on.
110  Economy / Economics / Re: China to overtake the Us as the largest global economy by 2028? on: January 02, 2021, 08:00:49 PM
I have a big doubt with this, already half of the world or at least most of the develop countries are blaming China when it comes to the spread of the pandemic and China didn't respond well to that after that news we have seen news about factories from other countries such as Japan pulling out their operations from China as a response for what happened. If countries like this start and ask their big companies as well as support them I think they can counter China's growth in being into the top country when it comes to economy.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you ever bet on SRL events? on: January 02, 2021, 07:24:31 PM
Well even though most crypto gambling sites have outcomes predicted already I wouldn't bet on such new kind of gambling where there is no safe way to bet yet or rather their reliability and reputation has not been proven, betting on such games won't guarantee you that you are betting a fair game or a game that is not fix or broken when they are favoring someone on the opposite side of the bet. Maybe if they have increased their reputation and proven their fairness that is the time when I will consider betting in this kind of simulated matches.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 02, 2021, 06:03:48 PM
Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant is back but they got a big loss against Hawks at home. One more time we saw this small rotation would not be enough for Brooklyn this year.
They have to bring more veteran players to make squad stronger. They get almost no help from bench players. I think they need at least 2 good shooters in bench. All work can't be done by starting 5.

This post doesn't make any sense because when both Irving and Durant are sidelined for the season Brooklyn Nets as a team are winning games and because they infused their stars suddenly they are losings games. Before Dinwiddie got injured and will be out of the season he was the 5th option for the starting 5 and last season he was a 20 ppg player now he barely makes 7 points, this kind of adjustment for such a quality player is not what you want to see. I know you have 2 stars in the team but it doesn't mean they are the only options for scoring buckets but that is what the Brooklyn Nets did.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 01, 2021, 11:09:34 PM
Well, they are trying to get Pogba  Grin
I have heard the rumor. I hope it really happens because Juventus needs a midfielder like Pogba. If we look at the chance, it is quite open as Pogba has ever a nice story in Juventus as a shining boy before he moved to Man United. Now, it depends on Pogba, how interested him to go back again to Juventus in the next transfer window.

These rumor has been running right after Pogba went out from Juventus and I think its just fueled by fans wanting back the former Juve star, I have heard this rumor from the last 2 transfer windows but all I have seen are just news but in reality nothing is happening. Not until I see a main source or someone really really reliable I won't believe that Pogba will be going back to Juventus especially if they don't have the money to make such deal. Maybe there is a possibility but only if Juventus is willing to sell other key pieces for them to have the money for a transfer.
114  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2020-12-29 FoxBusiness - Panthers' Okung first NFL player to be paid in bitcoin on: January 01, 2021, 09:26:07 PM
He migbt be trying to trigher some kind of hype that is why he probably is tweeting about it, he is hoping that what he is saying will trigger some kind of price action in which he will earn more after they are done converting his Bitcoin. What a bad way to start something, these kind of people are not what we are looking for in the community since they are trying to make ot look like we are easily manipulated that even a not known NFL player can infuence the market, I even bet that the article is involve in this non-sense.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 01, 2021, 07:19:16 PM
2 more days and the Italian Serie A will resume after few long days of rest. In what is already a fantastic fun filled season already with AC Milan top of the league. Will Inter Milan fight for the league after been eliminated from European competitions. Will Juventus fight back after struggling for most part of last year.
Usually, after the Christmas break, Serie A players come with more weight after some crazy blowouts. Consider that before betting, as some of your best players might have some pandoro and panettone to work off.  Grin

I don't think that is how the performance of a professional players work. 2 days of rest doesn't really affect their performance of physical condition as it really doesn't ruin the physical conditioning they had for several weeks or days they had done previously. Even if they did lose it will quickly regain back to their performance as that is how the body of a professional player works, they quickly adapt and adjust. But if you have some kind of article proving your point can you provide it as I am interested in finding out more if it is really a reason.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 01, 2021, 05:45:02 PM
I feel like no Westbrook team has overachieved so far ever, hence why I am not shocked by this neither. Dude is a good player himself but he was never a player that really changed anything for anyone around him, which is why I do not think it really matters where he goes, he just gets his stats, he really gets some attention from defense as well, but that's about it, he is not going to make any team better just being there.

I don't think that it is the player's fault but from what I know it is always about having a star player on the right team which makes him more successful. I know he went to Houston Rockets and was given some good players around him with James Harden there but that kind of fit where both are scorers is something that won't go well for the team especially both players are not known to be good at defense. Having a good team is more than that which is always about trying to compensate with one another which the Rockets have failed to do so.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is pointless if the BTC fees increases along with rise in BTC price! on: December 28, 2020, 06:29:48 PM
And people are overly happy just because the price is increasing, honestly I though both segwit and lightning network will be enough by now to decongest the main network but for prices like this that we haven't seen before I think a lot of people are rushing in and making their transactions a priority that is why we see an increase in prices in fees. To answer OP's question I don't think it is pointless as long as you are just a hodler but for a user of Bitcoin I don't think it is even worth it using Bitcoin as a payment method during these times.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 340k USD Q1 2022 on: December 28, 2020, 04:18:31 PM
@OP if you are giving a solid and exact number it would be better to tell the reason why you pick that number as your prediction. Explain it to us how you come up for that number or what's the reason behind it. Or are you just here trying to throw a random big number where you are just waiting for ideas of other members here? Because if that is your main object I think just asking them directly would be beneficial and less time consuming. Nevertheless predicting in a long time frame like that is worthless since all predictions would be inaccurate.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 28, 2020, 03:28:03 PM
Juve and Roma are competing for the Dallas signature Bryan Reynolds. They have offered a sizable price to buy. Bryan Reynolds is still 19 years old, he plays as a right-back. According to the news Roma have bid $ 9.2 million while Juve have bid $ 7 million. As for the statistics, he has played 17 times this season and has won two trophies while in Dallas. Also if this is true then he will be the most expensive player out of the American league.
Source: https://www.transfermarkt.com/roma-to-bid-for-bryan-reynolds-fc-dallas-to-receive-record-fee-/view/news/376388

From rumors here, Juventus is super-close to him but they can get an extra EU player since June so they will part him in another team and the player seems to had agreed to this term.

I just hope it is the right price since MLS soccer/football isn't really the same level as European football or even South American football that is why we will see stars way beyond their prime seek shelter in MLS as they are still considered stars even at 35+ years of age. I have nothing against him but will this kid keep up the pace of a higher level of football? Some wonderkids have not transitioned well when it comes to them being to a big named club and a lot of them failed to impress on going to the other level.
120  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Donating Bitcoin and IRS form 8283 on: December 28, 2020, 01:44:04 PM
Hmm I read the instructions for filling out the form for 8283 and all I can say is Wow they really don't make any sense for cryptocurrency donations especially the ones that aren't labelled as security since only securities are exempted from the appraisal requirement. For me it is really dumb to get your Bitcoin's appraised by someone as the certain amount of Bitcoin you will be donating already has been valued by the global market which I think eliminates the need of an appraiser, maybe there is some kind of exemption we don't know about since I doubt this hasn't been a concern before.
