101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: June 22, 2018, 04:27:02 AM
Bitcoin is more risky of course. But if you want to look at the profit side of the two, Bitcoin will give you a world more profit than any bank investment such as savings deposit, time deposit, bonds, and so on. Of course, with a bigger possible profit comes a higher risk also. That is always the equation. There is no easy money in the world of investments after all. Banks are more secured and safe because they are operating under the strict compliance of the law.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stabilizes? on: June 21, 2018, 09:05:26 AM
If Bitcoin's price appears stable, it is definitely temporary. What follows would either be a dump or a pump. What is certain is that the price of Bitcoin right now is still very volatile. The demand of the world is still moving high and low, causing turbulence in the price of Bitcoin. Stability will come later on when the bigger part of the world is already adopting Bitcoin. That's also when the price of Bitcoin is already reaching by the hundreds of thousands.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain Survive Without Bitcoin on: June 19, 2018, 05:39:05 AM
I think so. Right now, there are already large shifts to blockchain technology. A lot of traditional systems are starting to integrate blockchain to their technologies. Even the government of Venezuela and some few more I believe are using blockchain already. But their shift or adoption of the blockchain technology is made or done apart from Bitcoin. And so I guess there is a big possibility that blockchain will survive independently without Bitcoin.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency on: June 18, 2018, 06:01:30 AM
I believe cryptocurrency will be the world's currency. With the current crypto technology and the growing popularity of crypto, I'm sure crypto will rule the world. I'm sure in the future more and more countries will agree on crypto.

In a way it is already the worlds currency. It is just a matter of how popular it can become within the reach of the entire globe.
This is global, that market is very big, we just need the people to be educated in order for them to appreciate and use crypto.
I believe in the future of crypto and we will grow a trillion market just like the experts predicted, but we have to hold in order to benefit on that.

I agree with you. Cryptocurrency is clearly the future of financial transaction. However, there is a need to step up whatever cryptocurrency educational efforts and initiatives we have at the moment. It seems that even if there are more and more people giving due credit to cryptocurrency, some FUDers and media giants that are apparently being used by large stakeholders that are against cryptocurrency are also painting a different picture.
105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Drop: Is this the Best Time to Buy? on: June 18, 2018, 05:23:48 AM
By 2 PM (EST) on June 11, 2018, Bitcoin had dropped almost $1,000 from its price, trading at $6,700. BTC is now trading at its lowest value since the middle of March 2018. One of the most significant questions remains what to do next – join the selloff brigade, hodl, or buy more Bitcoins?

Details:
https://cryptomonster.net/news/bitcoin-price-drop-is-this-the-best-time-to-buy-bitcoinist/index.html

This appears to me a false alarm that looks absurd to those who are already very familiar with Bitcoin and crypto but may look really alarming to the newbies. For now, with a market that is really frustrating, the options are reduced into two. First, you HODL. That is the most common and normal decision since we are all aware that the price will eventually go back high. Second, if you have extra money, get into it while the price is still very low.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what price will you panic and start selling coins? on: June 17, 2018, 02:10:13 AM
A lot of people are reaching a point where they are considering selling their coins. I would like to know, what your "panic" sell

point is?

I bought most of my coins at below $1000, so I am not worried at all about the drop in the price. I will never walk away from

Bitcoin losing any money, because I sold some bitcoins when the price reached $19,000 last year and made back all the

money that I invested. Some people bought at $19,000 last year, and I think many of them sold already. Do you have a point,

where you will push the "panic" button?

I doubt that it will go down much further, but if it does... where would you start selling your coins?

Honestly, I don't understand why a legendary member of this forum is talking about panic and panic button. It appears awkward. So far, I have only read newbies and jr. members talk about panic. I am a bit surprised reading a post about panic from somebody that is legendary.

Well, I don't have a panic button and I don't panic either. Believe me, even if Bitcoin will reach as low as $500, it will not die. It will get back.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins price is falling. on: June 15, 2018, 01:06:39 PM
Bitcoins price is greatly decreasing right now would it affect the price of other coins if this continuous?

Even if it is not continuous the price of Bitcoin decreasing all the time will not only affect the prices of other coins, it will also affect the image of the entire cryptocurrency world, especially to those who came a little later. To those who have been here much earlier, the decreasing price of Bitcoin is not an issue. Everybody who came here much earlier knows that the deeper the price fall of Bitcoin, the stronger its response afterwards.
108  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Signature Space | Dozens of Threads with Thousands of Daily Views on: June 14, 2018, 05:33:52 AM
Hi aTriz! I hope the Ubonium campaign is not totally dead. Why do you not give us even a single update about its progress?
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: June 13, 2018, 11:00:47 AM
Is there a way to determine the number of people who are actually using Bitcoin till date? Who would have access to such information? Meaning a way to find out, how many new people have used Bitcoin in 2016 , so that we can say exponential growth is natural not artificially created by hoarders.

I'm afraid we cannot determine the exact number of people who are owning Bitcoin. It is going to be very hard to track all of them. In the first place, they are scattered all over the world. Secondly, unlike bank accounts, Bitcoins are stored in wallets without any personal information linked to the account. We cannot count the each wallet as individual owner either because a single person can own several Bitcoin wallets. In the same manner that a single account cannot be counted a single Bitcoin owner because there are also accounts where the Bitcoins are owned by several people.

Dear friends!
You’re welcome to join our signature campaign on Bitcointalk.
Easy to participate! Easy to win! Generous reward!
Just fill in a form!

Most generous?  Grin It does not seem to be so. Your signature campaign started as early as December of 2017 and you still don't have a final date as to when it will end after more than half a year of it running. You are giving a rough date on August 31, with possible extension. That would mean that your signature campaign will be running for more than 8 months at least and you are only offering a meager 1,050 ETH.

Some are only asking at least 10 posts a week and running for only a couple of months.
It is generous if you think about it, back then in old days, one ETH used to be 1200$ on average, 1050 suming for a total of 1,260,000$, so if it span until August 2018, it is a high chance ETH will rise back up higher.

MVP is in June, so... good news.

A couple of points:

1. Ethereum is $500 plus right now, less than half of the $1,200 that you set. Do not count the price of the past, it is nothing. Count the current price. Do not count the future price either. You are only counting a chance that is not certain to happen.

2. At least 8 months with 15 posts weekly for a signature campaign is not short. One could have already joined a total of 3 campaigns with this duration.

Atriz is a scammer.. all of his campaigns are not paying and just scamming people

I cannot say all. I just hope Ubonium is not one of them. We'll patiently wait for some more time.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BOUNTY]💰💰💰 UBONIUM ICO WITH PRODUCTION- GRADE MVP! 💰💰💰 [10MIL POOL] on: May 15, 2018, 08:15:51 AM
When will the translation sheet be updated with the number of tokens?

It is not only the translation spreadsheet that is left unattended. Everything looks abandoned. I hope there will be an update soon. It is not just the campaign but the entire project that looks dubious this way.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people buy high and sell low on: April 22, 2018, 01:19:06 AM
These people must be carried away by the market movements. I also observed some people who are buying during the times of strong pumps. Perhaps because they believe that the pump will last long. And yet they ended up complaining because they are losing a good portion of their investment, and then they sell their coins cheap. I think that this strategy, if it may be called such, is not really good.

Hi Sir Atriz. Could you please update the spreadsheet. It seems it is left unattended. There are at least 7 duplicate accounts in the signature section. So many cheaters operating in this campaign probably because the spreadsheet is not actively managed.

And please we need an official update as to the current status of this campaign. There seems to be too much silence from you.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell house to buy bitcoin if it drops below $ 5000? on: April 16, 2018, 02:37:54 AM
I joined this market a few months, I also lost a little money. Now I want to have a bigger plan by selling my house to 100% participation in this market. What do you think?
You think I will have another house or I will become homeless  Grin Cheesy Grin

It seems you are just playing your house or gambling it away. God save your house.  Grin Well, it looks like you will not sell your house anymore because Bitcoin will not allow that, I mean the Bitcoin supporters will not allow Bitcoin to go down as low as $5,000. Or Bitcoin is really that strong not to simply stumble down to that low level.

But if it happened that you sold your house and invested everything to Bitcoin, you will not only have another house, you will be having like 5 more larger and more beautiful houses.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Your bitcoin experience, how did it started? on: April 16, 2018, 01:47:09 AM
I started bitcoin just a little while. But I heard about it last august. At first I was not convinced and I didn't think that I would be interested on such a business. But this month my friend brought out a brand new laptop and he confirmed that it was from his bitcoin income. So I was finally conviced and I made up my mind. It's okay for me that I won't make money wuick but I believe that waiting and posting and posting eventually will help me earn money. Thank you and have a great day.

Great that you finally joined here and be an official member of the Bitcoin community. Actually, there are a lot of bystanders around and on the cryptocurrency sidelines. They already knew Bitcoin, perhaps already heard of it countless of times but they seem to put a little care to it. I believe they also need what finally moved you to join the Bitcoin community, something very tangible, a proof that it really works. And someone close that would be able to show that.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: April 15, 2018, 02:55:04 AM
Bitcoin right now keeps on increasing its value, and many more cryptocurrencies are occurring.
Do you think someday bitcoin will end or will be replace by other cryptocurrencies?

Is it too late to invest?
Is there a chance that bitcoin will be down?

Well, there is not only a chance that Bitcoin will be down; it is always expected that Bitcoin's price will go down every now and then. The market of cryptocurrency, which is led by Bitcoin, is a volatile one. There will huge ups and downs all the time. So there is no way there will be a late investor. Just enter anytime or at the dips to have a cheaper buying price. I cannot imagine any altcoin replacing Bitcoin. So far, there is no sign that it will happen. Neither is there any valid reason at all for its replacement. Let's just stick to the reality.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All in ETH now? on: April 14, 2018, 09:58:24 AM
ETH prices are down very low. Is this the right time to all in ETH?

Time to buy more and more Ethereum but not to the extent that you will all in your entire investment to Ethereum alone. That is not good, since all your worth will now be depending on a single coin if that is what you are planning to do. And it only takes a single problem of that particular coin for your portfolio's worth or value to dive. Just add some more coins to your portfolio. Bitcoin's price is also very low. The same is true to the prices of some other altcoins such as Aventus (AVT), or Titanium (TBAR), or Waves (Waves).
120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading FOREX or Crypto? on: April 14, 2018, 09:18:09 AM
I need some help.

I already have experience trading FOREX but until now im not that profitable. The market of forex is very UNPREDICTABLE. technical and fundamental analysis are not really working. Market makers and bank institutions are controlling the market. its centralized and big banks can manipulate the exchange.

Im planning to leave FOREX and switch to CRYTPO trading. Does anyone know who controls the bitcoin price? is it still the government or the whales trader?

If I were you, I would quit FOREX trading whether you will shift to crypto or not. FOREX trading is just one way for these greedy banks to get even richer. They are actually playing on you right there. In cryptocurrency trading, the primary factor is the demand. If the demand increases, the price will also increase. If there is selling instead of buying, the price would decrease. The ones in control are the investors and traders. But the huge investors have a big say on the prices as well. That is the downside of it. The whales could easily cause the price to fall if they dump their huge holdings.
