221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blood bath! Bubble burst? on: January 16, 2018, 11:27:02 AM
Everything is red, is it bubble burst? What should we do? I lost almost a half till now. Sell or hodl?

Ah, you are losing almost half so there is no need to sell. That is selling with a very big loss already. That is not a wise thing to do. Just take your time to sit back, relax, and perhaps learn to try to enjoy this rough ride. This has always been a rollercoaster ride ever since. You should have learned to enjoy this crypto world of ours. I have learned to get used to it already. There are red days as there are green days. We are in the red right now. The green will follow soon.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: January 16, 2018, 10:32:17 AM
Hi - Newbie here..I would like to put down 1000 USD next week.. What would your advice be to me?

Go buy Ethereum. Your $1,000 will make the most of your investment. Ethereum right now is almost losing hold of the $1,000 limit. It might fall down below that limit soon or that limit will serve as a resistance and there will be a bounce back happening once it almost touches there. But either way, Ethereum will be one of the best crypto in the year 2018. And then a fork is also happening very soon. There will be a great pump for sure.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we buy now or sell? on: January 15, 2018, 03:31:06 AM
What's actually happening with bitcoin? Market is collapsing hugely. Is this the better time to buy or sell? And will it goes under 2000 or 1000? If so should we buy then? Suggestions would be helpful

This was posted right before Bitcoin went flying really high that it almost broke its All Time High everyday. The months of October and November in 2017 and early December were very good for Bitcoin's growth. And then came the next days of December and Bitcoin went dumping. There was a return on the early days of this month but the movements are generally a little up followed by a little down and then a little up again and so on and on until now. But the first quarter of 2016 will definitely be very good for Bitcoin. Buy now.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $12000 to invest in long term. Which coin? :D on: January 15, 2018, 02:35:59 AM
Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term?
How long should I hold it?

Is there a risk that I might lose it all?

I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  Huh

I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea?

There is a very little risk that your investment here in crypto will be all lost. That will only happen when the coin you are investing will really die and there will be no more project which could make use of the coin. If that happens, the coin will really die. But even if you choose some coins from the top 100, I am sure nothing will die there. If there is a dump, don't worry because they will bounce back for sure.

Yes, Litecoin is a good coin for investment, albeit perfect for long term. You can also include Bitcoin, POWR, Waves, IOTA, BAT,
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: January 14, 2018, 03:15:15 AM
Just wondering if ETH can

I think Ethereum can reach as high as the price of Bitcoin but it will definitely take time. It will not be as fast as we might want it. Bitcoin took almost ten years to reach this high so Ethereum might also have to go through some time before reaching such peak. But if we look at Ethereum's pace, it is a lot faster than Bitcoin's. I think it is because when Ethereum came, Bitcoin has already paved the way for it. The world has already started embracing crypto because of Bitcoin.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum become the world's first-largest cryptocurrency? on: January 14, 2018, 02:32:35 AM
Will Ethereum become the world's first-largest cryptocurrency?

What do you mean first largest when we all know that even before Ethereum was conceived, Bitcoin was already here and have been ruling the world of cryptocurrencies? There was no point, even for a very short time, in the entire history of cryptocurrencies that Bitcoin was surpassed by any altcoin in the top place. From the moment crypto was created, Bitcoin was the one ruling it. Ethereum comes second only.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are you hodling for 2018? on: January 13, 2018, 03:05:51 AM
I am trying to maintain portfolio by adding different coins to hodl in 2018. There are many good projects, I have Powr, Ven, TRX, Xrp, BCPT right now. What projects are you hodling, do you think its a good time to get as many coins in portfolio as market is bleeding?

The bleeding is finally gone. We are now in green color almost all over the charts. This is going to be good. I hope this will continue within the first quarter of this year. I am holding Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Stratis (STRAT), Aventus (AVT), ZrCoin (ZRC), Vertcoin (VTC), and Waves. And just very recently, a couple of days ago, I bought some Coinlancer (CL) in HitBTC. I hope I made the right choice with these coins.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell my airdropped tokens quickly or hold on to them? on: January 13, 2018, 02:14:10 AM
Hello,
Yesterday I saw some increase in my total estimated token value, and today it dropped significantly.
It appears that a lot of people are selling their airdropped tokens as soon as they get them.
I have not sold a single token from airdrops, and with the exception of some them, they seem to be mostly losing value in time.
Should I do the same or hodl hoping that some of them may increase in value, closing the gap I lose in the process?

The answer is either yes or no and they are both valid. It is because it would be on a case to case basis, depending highly on the token that you are holding. When you join an airdrop, do not just join blindly, without even reading a little about the project. You have to know the potentials of the project and the coin. If you think the coin has the potential of getting bigger, then you have to hold it until they reach certain milestones. If you think they are simply garbage coins they dump them immediately.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top upcoming ICO with greatest potential on: January 13, 2018, 01:43:31 AM
What are the TOP upcoming ICO with greatest potential?

I will of course be promoting one of the greatest revolution in the technology of blockchain infrastructure. Titanium Blockchain Infrastructure Services (TBIS) or simply Titanium ICO is going to end in the late February so you still have a lot of time to check it out and try to assess it for yourself. I am not saying buy some Titanium tokens right away. I am saying read about them and be convinced. Try it here: https://tbis.io/ By the way, they have sold above 8 Million USD already.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Asia on: January 12, 2018, 02:22:11 AM
Hey,
I just saw a blog http://www.w11stop.com/blog-w11stop/bitcoin-w11stop related to bitcoin and wanted to know is it acceptable in Asia?

Thank You

Asia is a continent and there is no central body of some sorts that is governing it. Nor is their any continental government in Asia. There are only different countries and each and every country has its own laws and policies. There are so many countries where Bitcoin and crypto are allowed, some with a little tight regulations. It all depends on the specific countries. There are also countries in Asia where Bitcoin is not allowed at all. Most countries, for example, in the Middle East are not open to Bitcoin.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: January 11, 2018, 08:13:51 AM
Banning is not the goal, taking control is goal

This post may be coming from a newbie account here but I would say this is the very point of the government that are banning Bitcoin in their respective countries. Governments do not just ban easily. They do not just ban something which is like Bitcoin--having the backing of the people, being traded worldwide with Billions of USD in 24-hour volume, and even much bigger market value, being used and utilized worldwide. They just want this to be controlled. The problem is that they cannot do that so they ended up banning it.
232  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: January 10, 2018, 07:24:15 AM
Well, it is not gambling really because you are not in a place where you make bets and then at the end of the day either go home penniless or with much money. Unlike gambling, Bitcoin is like making an investment that will either go up or down but if it is down it will still go up in the coming days so there is no losing in Bitcoin really. In gambling, there is. I would like to treat Bitcoin as an investment or as a form or currency. That's it!
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Preparation on: January 10, 2018, 06:34:22 AM
I think we may be in a situation that someone wants us to be wealthy enough for the coming on a world where people that has Bitcoin or some other coin are the only person who may live through. Maybe someone is trying to manipulate the world through crypto? What do you think guys?

This sounds like a conspiracy theory. I think this is far from what is really happening. Cryptocurrency is still very elementary so to speak. It is not as developed as it could get. I know the years in the future will be more high-tech in terms of the existing cryptocurrencies. The ones we have now will have to catch up so that they will not die as the new ones are coming. For sure, the developments of cryptocurrency will become much faster as it gained adoption widely. But there is no one controlling the world of crypto.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can any government ban Bitcoin? on: January 09, 2018, 04:57:23 AM
Bitcoin has been around the borders of financial markets for less than a decade, but is slowly gaining importance as an alternative asset class.
Can the government of any major country step in and do the unlikely?

They can do that. And several countries have done so already. I think they are either threatened with the fast rising of support for Bitcoin or the government, the financial advisers in particular, are not well-informed about Bitcoin and blockchain. If they are threatened, that means they indirectly accepted the fact that the force of Bitcoin is already strong that it may cause a certain level of significant shake-up of the system. If they are well-informed about blockchain and Bitcoin I cannot think why they will not support it. They must be threatened.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what are the benefits of bitcoin? on: January 09, 2018, 04:05:22 AM
what are the benefits you get in bitcoin? And how those it affect your daily living?

There are several benefits that I got from Bitcoin. Not least of which is the growth of my worth. I formally joined the crypto or Bitcoin community rather late. It was a time when Bitcoin was already valued almost or more than a thousand dollars. I did not buy Bitcoin immediately. I waited for a couple of months at least when I was a little bit sure that I have already understood this whole thing. But even that late entrance, I already gained a significant profit from my Bitcoins. I also invested in some altcoins and I also earned from them. Aside from that, I also gained a lot of knowledge from Bitcoin. My horizon was also extended to new borders with my participation in Bitcoin.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: January 09, 2018, 03:21:48 AM
This is what I always think about, but unfortunately in my country, bitcoin is still not officially accepted, and all the material in education is under the auspices of educational institutions run by the state government, so if Bitcoin wants to be put into educational material there must be a permit in advance from the highest institution.

Actually, this is not a problem if the topic Bitcoin will just be touched along the way of a certain subject. Meaning to say, Bitcoin will not be officially recommended as one subject that must be taught to college. I believe teachers have a certain level of freedom in choosing some minor topics in the subjects they are teaching. And they could insert Bitcoin to it if they believe it is really relevant to the subject. Because requiring Bitcoin in colleges is really hard to happen considering that Bitcoin is a little bit revolutionary and against the current system.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 picks for January? on: January 08, 2018, 07:49:13 AM
BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, & probably 🤮 BCASH its mine  and whats is yours?

We share only two in your list. For my top five picks for January, of course I will also be choosing Bitcoin (BTC) first of all. And then I will also be choosing Ethereum (ETH). The third on my list would go to Waves (Waves) and then the fourth will be deservedly going to Stratis (Strat). The last and final one will be awarded to Ethereum Classic (ETC). Of course Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP) will always be on my top 10. These are also solid coins. Bitcoin Cash  (BCH) for me is a bit controversial.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO researching on: January 07, 2018, 09:37:04 AM
Im currently researching which ICO's may become a good investment.

Would anyone like to suggest any that they think are going to be the star of 2018?

Titanium Blockchain Infrastructure Services or simply Titanium is one of the most perfect ICO in 2018. I do not just recommend this ICO because I am wearing their signature and avatar. I am recommending the ICO of Titanium because I truly believe in the ideas and objectives of the project. They envision the entire IT enterprise to become virtual. That is not just a simple idea. That is a definitely an amazing one. They have a sold out pre-ICO and currently they have so far gathered more than $3,000,000 in their ICO. You still have time to join and be part of the revolution.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: January 07, 2018, 08:40:35 AM
I know a lot of people have different reason why the love and embrace bitcoin.
For me the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the thought of being able to send coins to anybody in any part of the word, no third party, no regulation(specific amount), no bullshit is mind blowing.

Even a single feature of Bitcoin is really mind-blowing and amazing. Decentralization is already big enough reason why a lot of people are supporting Bitcoin. A decentralized form of payment is a great breakthrough in a world that is fast becoming a single community. And then add to it the fact that Bitcoin could become the world's currency because everyone who uses Bitcoin can do transactions internationally without necessarily converting into a local fiat.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin used by criminals ? on: January 05, 2018, 11:40:41 PM
I am a little bit tired of hearing stuff like this. Bitcoin is implicated to terror activities, to illegal activities, to the deep web where everything appears to be illegal thus underground, and so on. There is no point really to generalize anything at this point as a some kind of tool for terrorists. You are right. The internet has been a very effective instrument for recruitment of all these scumbags. And yet the internet continues and is even the source of so many good things. It all depends on how we use our resources such as Bitcoin and the internet.
