I agree, it does. I'd be helping fund it myself if I weren't unemployed right now. Unemployed and I know what you mean! :/

Bitcoin 2 works with ATM networks- withdrawals from a Bitcoin ATM on any major debit card (Visa, Mastercard) are treated like withdrawals of foreign currency.
^^ this!

i was thinking about this in a scenario.. unless you have coded live price changes into the video segments to account for price fluctuations of bitcoin.
will you be doing what 'normal' home shopping networks do? meaning showing a fiat price.
the one thing i truly hate is that we all shout out that bitcoin is its own economy, yet they have it latched onto dollar pricing. which for asians, europeans, and the rest of the world is a bit racist.
so please don't be placing dollars on the adverts. bitcoin is international, we should see bitcoin prices set a daily figure so that people in the morning can order at lunch or afternoon without seeing bitcoin prices change. all because of the dollar/bitcoin variance.
many people trade altcoins to bitcoins or non dollar FIAT to bitcoin, so its time we moved away from pinning bitcoin to dollars. especially pinning the prices to the centralised MTGOX valuation of dollar->bitcoin
bitstamp has finally surpassed MTGOX trading. so i hope i don't see people shout out "but MTGOX is the value of bitcoin". bitcoin is its own value, merchants can set their own prices based on what they presume to be of value. not base it on centralised prices of the stockmarkets.
this is why car fuel stations vary in price for the exact same product, (car fuel).
i truly hope this home shopping network becomes the pivotal moment we stop acting like MTGOX sheep
Nah, it will all be in BTC. Not fiat blah. Eventually, this could get on T.V ( google T.V, Roku ) and people can pay in Bitcoins via qr code for items lol

This is a damn good idea. The home shopping networks let people actually see products in action. Even static items like clothes and jewelry are more appealing over video than in a photo. I just convinced my friend to start taking Bitcoins for her online business and helped her sign up for a BitPay merchant account. If you get this up and running I'm sure I could convince her to be on your network. You should ask some of the larger businesses like Bitinstant, BitPay or MtGox if they would be willing to sponsor the show to help the smaller businesses get off the ground. Have segments of like 10 minutes about one business then move on to the next and publish a programming schedule. Let each business show their best deals/hottest products and they can take orders right after their segment. Customers that were thinking about buying a particular product can "tune in" per the schedule and see that gold coin or whatever that they have had their eye on.
Thank you sir! Good ideas. I agree jewelry and clothes are more appealing on video then in a picture. Right, I was thinking 10 minute chunks, assuming there were that many businesses flocking in. You basically have the idea!

Woow, sounds awsome! In the video they talk about Bitcoin, saying it can store your wallet address to receive payment. Wouldn't it be fantastic if it could store your private key too, thus being able to make payments as well? Ya that part of was the coolest part. Yeah I agree about storing your private key.

My wife and I were astonished when they "teased" a piece about a digital currency, namely Bitcoin.
The piece focused on a local doctor who accepts BitCoin, and they showed screen shots of Mt. Gox and the Bitcoin store. They had some footage of a bar in New York that accepts Bitcoin, and then the reported showed a graphic of the price of Bitcoin, stressing the extreme volatility.
They then cut away to an "expert" who explained that if everyone lost confidence, it could suddenly have no value. The doctor countered that it could go either way: if it becomes widely accepted, it could be worth much more.
They ended with some creepy video of someone's hand using a mouse, with all kinds of like digital "Matrix" (green characters) running over the screen, as the reported stressed the underworld aspects: untraceable and a way to avoid the IRS.
Anyways, it was surprising. It wasn't a hit piece at all and it makes me think BTC is getting a little more mainstream, if only a little.
someone needs to get a recording of it cool!

Just like we had Bitcoin Black Friday back in the day I want to create the first ever Bitcoin Home Shopping Network ( without theTV!) either every other Tues/Thurs or Both depending on the success. Seems there are Buttonwoods and Satoshi Squares to getting Bitcoins in peoples hands we should also be supporting the Bitcoin business community.
How I envision it working. Basically, there will be an event countdown clock when it opens up people can ask questions about their products, there business or just Bitcoin related questions and hear from the actual business themselves through a "carousel type video stream" which I already have built. The merchants can even show off the products "live" if they want and looking into building a small on-the-fly purchase the item right them and there aka Jvc/HSN. It will be a "first come , first serve" hosted moderated system where you just jump on whenever you want, when you want. Errmmm.... think of doing an 8 hour/all day event for it.
What I don't have is a name for it so would purchase the domain for the site/event. Maybe bitcoin bonanza lol ... ? I suppose sponserships can off-set some costs? I'm just looking to get community feedback and suggestions to the idea most of its already been built but want to see what else you would like to add!
Thanks for reading.
