1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: August 11, 2023, 03:32:32 PM
And I'm not going to talk about other people in this case, before I want to ask first, have you ever had the thought of continuing to play in order to pursue victory or restore defeat? I have, but it goes back to whether we are able to control it or not.
"Let's try again, let's try again" Lol, I've felt it but I can suppress it and return to logical thinking, so that I can prevent losing more than I lost in the past.
Oh yes, additionally, intention alone is not enough either, because it must be with action.

Let's try again is not strange to any gambler so you are not the first non will you be the last to use the word whether for positive result or negative result  Grin So it is something that is in the lips of gamblers who are losing. Those who lose always want to try another luck and they will keep losing until they either give up and run away with what is left or losing everything. This is a sign that you are drawing yourself closer to addiction when you can't accept losses to move on. A gambler who is not satisfied with losing will definitely fall for more losses .
That is the thing that I don't want to happen to me. Until I can still manage to control my emotions and gambling desires, I would still continue gambling but in the moment I'd notice something wrong with me like chasing losses, that was the sign that I need to stop. Because the next thing that happens is to fall into addiction and lose control of our decisions as what is in our mind during that time is to win and recover from losses. This will lead to uncontrolled expenses and overspending, of course, we know where it goes.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime on: August 11, 2023, 03:09:15 PM

However, we can't stop people give their own opinion about what they've seen and heard in different social media platforms regarding about bad news in scamming scenarios that happened using cryptocurrency as a bait. We should expect the instant discrimination of cryptocurrency from the people who don't know how Bitcoin and Blockchain works.
It was their opinion and I respect that but that is wrong. We have correct them as early as possible in order to stop spreading false information and would stop confusion. Indeed, Bitcoin has nothing to do with the crime but people make it as a tool to promote criminalities and fraud, it was the tool for the success of their evil plan and so many people hated Bitcoin. They need education, they need clarification about Bitcoin and so these speculations spreading around will be over otherwise, we still hear negative things about Bitcoin.
1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do 90% of Bettors Lose in Sports Betting in the Long-term? on: August 11, 2023, 02:37:03 PM

Certainly, the exitence of sports bettors who profit consistently isn't just a myth; it's a reality that can't be overlooked. And yes, it would make a certain amount of logical sense that if someone is successful at one endeavor, they might also possess the foresight to diversify their income sources. Interestingly, the universe does have its way of balancing things out. Maybe, just maybe, there's this thing we can call universal luck. It's not about always winning, but about the universe aligning things in your favor, periodically

However, it's essential - and let me stretch this a bit further - really, really essential, to understand that reinvesting your profits is a sound business strategy in almost every domain, not just sports betting. It shows prudence, foresight, and a pinch of that universal luck, perhaps. Speaking of which, healthy gambling is a topic that can't be brushed under the carpet. It’s vital, super vital, to approach sports betting with moderation and a clear mindset. Not just for the pocket, but for the soul and mind as well

Only a few people manage to make a living from sports betting, and that's alright since overall, sports betting sites still remain profitable. Perhaps, if you're a serious sports bettor, your ultimate dream is to achieve success in sports betting, but it can't happen overnight. We need to approach it as a long-term activity; being a profitable gambler requires consistency.

Some may not believe it's possible because they haven't seen it firsthand. However, we can simply analyze the situation. If sports betting were not profitable for anyone, then people should stop betting. The fact that the sports betting industry is substantial indicates the strong interest people have in making money through sports.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Rodriguez vs Lopez - vacant IBF bantamweight (Aug. 13) on: August 11, 2023, 01:29:34 PM
Rodriguez has a chance to redeem himself, as it seems he was robbed during his fight against Reymart Gaballo. Now, it's his time to make a comeback and become a champion. If he can win this fight, perhaps if Donaire does not retire, we might see another Donaire fight as the challenger. Rodriguez is a skilled boxer; unfortunately, he doesn't possess the power of a strong boxer, so that's the weakness I see in him. However, against Lopez, I think it will be an easy fight for him.

Quote
Lopez is almost 6:1 underdog is this fight.
Bookies knows the real chance.
1025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: think before investing on: August 11, 2023, 12:51:49 PM
Trading and hodling Bitcoin is entirely different.

Trading is risky, so I will agree to you that your friend must prepared himself well before engaging in trading, since it is not easy as it sounds. It requires a lot of knowledge about price chart prediction and how to read them to be able to make a technical analysis. Hodling on the other hand just requires time, and a lot of patient, because it's a game of waiting after buying in the deep.
Perhaps, it was necessary in order to earn, or else, we can be like those thousand investors who only just spend their money and gone after a short while due to the wrong investment. And in order to avoid this, we must have to invest time in studying the market behavior and how it works as we can't just underestimate the volatility of the market and it was advantageous on our side if we have an idea of how to play with it. We don't have to take it easy but rather be focused on our goal and most of all, if we wanted to succeed must also trust ourselves.
1026  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any legit bitcoin mining apps? on: August 11, 2023, 04:23:45 AM
There are a lot of mining apps that can be found in the play store but guess what, you are just fooling yourselves because these apps are useless. I tell you that I was a victim of this and hoping that was real, of yeah, what I've got are just numbers but no way you can get them.
If you really wanted to go mining, better to acquire mining machines as for sure you can get BTC from this. Well, that was an expensive investment and risky mate so, it's up to you then to decide. But if I were you, just buy BTC and hold, it was not stressful and less risky, and most of all, profit is certain when you can sell them at the right time, unlike mining.
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - when to sell? on: August 11, 2023, 03:49:04 AM

I have seen price predictions range from $5-$100 for the next bull run - I think $10 is a fair prediction myself so may just wait till it reaches that price as it would be a 24x for me.

Ever since I'd never seen XRP is on bullish. Yes, it pumps but not to the point that we can say it was bullish. Not even it reaches $3, how much more if we think about reaching $5 - that was impossible. I really don't know why but based on my experience and upon checking on its history, the price remains low, it is somewhat to say that there is manipulation on its price.

So, if you think holding this project will make you profitable, that was wrong. Better sell them and invest in BTC or ETH, surely it went bullish 2 years from now.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that you trust most on: August 10, 2023, 09:55:26 PM
There are thousands of altcoins in crypto market and each of coin has investors! Cause people have different choice from one to another.  People even invest in shitcoin to get rich quickly. So what are the names of your most 5 invested altcoins that you are holding or would like to invest soon?? Those are my choice
1. ETH
2. BNB
3. Arbitrum
4. Cake
5. ApeCoin
I'm not sure, But I really don't think those #3-5 coins in your list OP are worth holding long. Although that was your choice, but for me, these coins are not just they are less profitable, they also can't be trusted really. Well, what I would say is to keep an eye on these 3 coins and must always be updated on their status.  But if I were you, I would just keep ETH and BNB especially if you are holding them for many years as we can be sure that these 2 coins will survive and remain valuable in the market.
1029  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are memecoins tarnishing the image of crypto? on: August 10, 2023, 09:37:50 PM
Memecoins don't tarnish any crypto image. You can hate them for all you want but their presence provides hype and excitement in the industry and invariably help draw the attention of the public to cryptos. Yes, we know most of these memecoins later become worthless but that isn't before it leaves some wealthy as it leaves others poor. Those who are usually trapped in losses are those who think they can turn the worthless coins to Bitcoin in value. If anyone has to invest in memecoins, they should know they're short term investment; usually a kind of "hit and run" thing in my local parlance.
Those who come early before the hypes will become wealthy but those who come late will the suffer the consequences and lose their money. Meme coins become famous and draw attention because of Dogecoin and Elon Musk and you are right, none of them I see would stay healthy and still on hype,
in fact, they are started to decline and gain attention no more. This year 2023 I'd say it was their time but probably not next year. However, people will still remember their names but it was just the name, yet, they never hold any from them.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I see it, I feel it, I know it and it will live forever. on: August 10, 2023, 01:38:17 PM

I have mentioned the same thing in my previous post. I said that it will surely stay for a long time.
But the harsh truth is that everything has an end and so will bitcoin. We just don't know how and when it will come to an end but it will.
It's a simple fact based on what I said it will surely come to an end at some point of time.
New technology will be created someday which might be more useful and acceptable to the community than Bitcoin. Yes, I was on your side and agreed that it never lasts forever but I don't think there is a problem with because we seek also satisfaction. In fact, we even think that Bitcoin replace Fiat and that someday it will happen against Bitcoin as well.

Of course, we can't tell it right now but I think, it was better to be aware that there is a huge change that may happen in the coming days that will change the direction of Bitcoin and trust.
1031  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reasons for Doing your own research on: August 10, 2023, 12:53:10 PM

My question :
Though doing your own research is an important aspect for personal growth but if one get false information then such person is doomed with it, except he/she get the truth before he/she becomes victimised which is  maybe unlikely. So please, how do I know a good source for legit information with consistency?
Well, it was part of your research to say if you are getting the right information or not. Because if you're not, then I don't think it makes sense if you still don't get the right thing to do and fall into the wrong information.

You may consider this forum as good a source of information but still, you also need to evaluate if the information is telling the truth or not. I was not just reliant on a single source, I keep digging more and finding more ideas, you can really confused about who is telling the truth and sometimes our judgment can possibly be wrong.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 10, 2023, 11:30:51 AM
You've got to give credit to Mike Tyson he is involved with these two fighters one fighter was named after him and he has a close association with the other fighter so getting him involved will add spice to the event, we never know but Mike could be involved in a thrash talk too, you know the Furys they want to hype any events where they are involved so we'll see in the press conferences if there's going to be thrash talks.
But I'm sure people will watch this not only for the boxing but for the dramas that come along with it.

It might turn that Mike will be the one to trashtalk with Fury, because I think Francis English level isnt good enough to parry creative insults and jokes that Fury gonna throw. Fury is a master of making fun of his opponents. And if you are not a native speaker, it will be hard not to lose that battle. How long Francis has been studying English? Probably around 5 years. It will be hard for Francis to parry something like "three piece and a soda" kind of joke.

Haha, I don't believe he's so desperate that he would hire someone solely for the purpose of trash talking. It's possible that his intentions go beyond just that – he might also be seeking insights from Mike Tyson on how to excel in boxing. Considering Tyson's status as one of the greats from the past, this could be a way to gain valuable knowledge. However, time will tell; regardless of their decision, I'm confident it will be geared towards enhancing the upcoming fight. As we can see from the current situation, the fight gained more attention once Mike Tyson's name became involved.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 10, 2023, 10:41:35 AM
That's what Casimero wan't and would provably grab the offer even if he can get less pay cut on their fight because he really want to get the head of Inoue. Even though he can possibly get less with that possible match up still he has a lot to gain because the same with Tapales  if he could defeat Inoue in a match for sure he will get a huge boost on his career and might he will acquired back his reputation on boxing scene then can demand more higher pay cuts on his upcoming matches.

To be honest, I don't envision Tapales defeating Inoue. On the other hand, if Casimero were to fight Inoue, I believe it would be an intriguing matchup, possibly even more captivating than a unification fight. Admittedly, I still consider Inoue the superior boxer. However, given Casimero's firm dedication, I'm confident he wouldn't let the fight conclude without giving his absolute best. One of Casimero's greatest victories was his triumph over Tete, and I think it's time for him to secure another unexpected victory.
1034  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am confused !!!! on: August 09, 2023, 02:04:16 PM
I think it is better to invest in Bitcoin than to invest in altcoin because it has no risk. If you want to invest for long term then definitely invest in Bitcoin which will give you profit and no fear of losing money.

This statement is completely NOT true.  There are risks with any investment, including bitcoin based on the asset itself and then perhaps based on various ways that normies might execute whatever are their investment techniques.

Also profits are not guaranteed, and the emotions of people vary, so there are people who have lost money in bitcoin, even though bitcoin has historically been an asymmetric bet to the upside, but some people are not able to deal with BTC price volatility so they buy higher than the price that they end up selling.
And it happens to those who got here because of the influence of these social media influencers. There is misinformation that they brought into the minds of their followers and so they expect that buying Bitcoin today will earn a profit tomorrow. That is why we can see many investors had suffered losses and quit crypto as they really don't understand the situation. And much more if someone never says that investing in Bitcoin is not risky, that certainly builds their confidence and invest immediately without knowing what will happen after.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC will hit new high, as crypto bull billionaire predict on: August 09, 2023, 01:32:27 PM
Should I say OP that he is right? Well, people had already speculated that thing and everyone does. So even though we can't hear any words from rich people or any famous saying it hit another ATH because we had expected that to happen this coming bull season.

Well, you can be bullish really if you trust and have faith in Bitcoin. If you have, then must believe it...
And you can hear much of this stuff, positivity, and encouragement when the bull season is coming. No don't get surprised, this is how speculation does and sooner it will turn negative after Bullrun.

1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney on: August 09, 2023, 12:55:14 PM

However, we know how defensive Haney is, and if Prograis try to be the aggressor, I think it will be like Haney against Kambosos. Wherein Haney will have the upper hand as he will do the counter all night long. The only chance that Prograis is to hit Haney flush to win by ko as Haney doesn't have a good chin to begin with.

Good defense and timing in counterpunching are the best defense against a strong puncher Haney is so good at frustrating his opponent and accumulating points, that Prograis should find a way to get his punches in.

Haney is a boring fighter like Mayweather but his style gets the nod of the judges, judges score on hits and defense and that's what happens in his encounter against Kambosos, he cannot avoid Haney's counterpunching, I don't think Prograis is the fighter that will handle Haney's first loss.

That's just how he fights, and we have to accept it because it makes him effective in boxing. He may be considered boring, no question about that, but as long as he keeps winning, he will undoubtedly have more fights to come and more money to earn. Let's hope that he will have a good match with Regis Prograis, now that he is the challenger. If he wants to win convincingly, he needs to be more convincing in the ring, as we don't want to see a controversial fight like his previous one where some people thought he lost to Lomachenko.

First of all, I think a fighter who punches with his 100% is not a good fighter. There is a big difference between a good puncher and a hard/strong puncher. The expertise of a fighter lies not in putting 100% power behind his punches because that is going to throw him off balance and also might potentially screw up his defensive position.

I don’t have any problem with a fighter being aggressive or defensive. We have seen aggressive fighter like Mike Tyson being one of the best at that time and we have also seen Floyd Mayweather who is definitely quite defensive to be one of the best in this era as well.

I think the fighters also have to remember that the Challenger must do well to claim the win. If there is a chance of the fight being almost even equal, the Challenger is not going to get the win. Because in most cases, the Challenger does not get the benefit of the doubt.

It's the strategy that matters, and we can conclude that Devin Haney knows the right strategy as he keeps winning. However, we cannot deny that fans would want to be entertained. They want to see the boxer they are leaning towards winning, and at the same time, they also would like to be entertained. When two boxers who have a reputation for being boring fighters in the ring face each other, that is not going to entertain the fans.

However, for Haney, I like his decision to move up as it's necessary for a considered great boxer to push his limits.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 09, 2023, 12:21:45 PM
Logan Paul looks to be headlining an October boxing match in Manchester as part of the KSI vs Tommy Fury bout:
https://www.mmafighting.com/2023/8/8/23824664/logan-paul-returns-to-boxing-to-face-dillon-danis-as-part-of-ksi-vs-tommy-fury-card-in-october
Both him and his brother are calling out Mcgregor on X since Jake vs Diaz and he is wanting to fight either of them.
Could be an epic battle for the Paul brothers against The Notorious One.
I'm not sure Logan Paul can really get McGregor to fight him because it won't be up to par and McGregor will definitely just take what Logan Paul said as a joke.
For Jake or Diaz it might be a Logan Paul fight but I think it will be a bit of a tough fight for Logan Paul when actually against one of them.

What I still wonder is Logan Paul can earn so much more money from his income as a YouTuber and actor then why else does he care about a boxing career.
But if Logan Paul can fight against one of them maybe this will be surprising and become quite a sensational fight. Cheesy

Maybe there's a chance that he can get McGregor, but I'm afraid the deal would not happen because McGregor might demand a bigger slice of the pie, knowing to himself that he already proved he can sell a fight. His biggest payday was when he fought Mayweather, so this fight, if possible, is way lower than what he received before. However, if this would really happen, I think I'll still go with Paul here. McGregor seems probably not active anymore.
1038  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is all what they say about bitcoin true? on: August 08, 2023, 10:04:58 PM
As a newbie on this forum, for some days now I have been going through threads, reading and trying to understand and getting better knowledge on every single one of them
In a thread someone said "Bitcoin is not all about happiness" can a little more light be thrown on this?
You can see and read mixed emotions from different people because that is based on their own experience as well. Granting that not all had become successful investors, you can never say that all people who come and invest are happy, many were also disappointed. Yes, I believe that the majority of the members here are telling right but if that is from these social media influencers, I don't think so - most of them are just FUDs and baseless statements which you have to be careful about.

1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling scenario that keeps repeating on you on: August 08, 2023, 01:52:23 PM
I don't know what is it with even numbers and '00s, but a lot of people seem to rush whatever their means of getting some money are in order to reach this 'milestone.'

I think a lot of people are also doing this, so you're probably not one in getting this exact same scenario. I have my fair share of this, though I usually do it to 'reduce' my balance to a number I can easily recall for the next time I play, I know how much I need to add to my balance to keep my budget intact. It's a very weird way of chasing the even numbers or '00s, but I do feel your sentiment regarding it.

OP sharing his experience does not make sense if we get realistic because, at the end of the day, it's just a pattern. Anything related, what we should understand as gamblers, is our chances, which are lower compared to the house. One problem that we will encounter in gambling is the lack of discipline in managing our bankroll. So, it's not the amount of bankroll based on numbers, whether odd or even, it's us and how we are handling it.
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 08, 2023, 01:27:50 PM
Even with Mike Tyson in his corner I cannot see Fury losing the fight. Trainers can have a massive impact on the mindset of the fighter, it can give them a big psychological edge and we must not forget if there are two big strong men in a ring either of them is capable of hitting the other hard enough to make them fall down if they land a punch in the right place.

A combination of the poverty-stricken background that Ngannou came from and his sheer will to survive and thrive, alongside having Mike Tyson by his side is not going to be enough to beat Fury but it should make it a very interesting fight.

I'm sure it's going to be an entertaining fight. Both fighters are very aggressive, especially Ngannou, who is known to be a KO artist. Mike Tyson as his coach would boost his confidence, so I'm expecting him to be the aggressor in this fight. From round 1, he can start going for a KO, as that's the only way he can win the fight since Tyson Fury is a natural boxer and knows the right technique to score if he cannot take his opponent down. So, let's see what's going to happen. As a fan, we do have our own predictions based on multiple factors we see.
