1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 07, 2022, 11:04:07 AM
Looks like Italians come back after holiday angry and reckless,,, so many yellow and red cards throughout the night with only a few games. And also plenty of goals everywhere, there was not a single team who could not score last night  Shocked Of course 3 draws screwed with most of us especially since there were clear favorites in all those draws. This is football!
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Betplay.io goes Solana on: January 07, 2022, 09:44:46 AM
This is the second casino I have seen adding Solana to their options,,, as far as I knew before Solana was a Defi coin right? So why are you adding it to your option? I know ETH is getting expensive but people usually go for something else these days,,, or maybe I am not updated  Cheesy

OP just move this to your thread,,, but also, do not enter your reply into the quote. Just click "quote" and then enter your response below the line after /quote Or it looks like you did not reply
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BMs, does bounties help the project? on: January 07, 2022, 06:13:11 AM
You are not wrong. I get all the points of the above people but the truth is as you have heard yourself from the projects who pay for bounties,,, that it is a waste of money. But let me clarify a few things.

Firstly, projects say it is a waste of money but they actually are stupid to think that bounties can bring users or even token buyers. It only brings people who want free things. So what you pay for when you get bounty people is a lot of numbers and followers on social media. They are not users but if you pay for that, you get exactly that, nothing more. This is mainly why projects do not pay in the end. They thought getting 10000 Telegram users would bring in at least some token buyers.

Secondly, have you seen the quality of bounty hunters? Shilling like influencers, with no actual use of the product or service,,, but without the actual ability of influencers to convince people to buy. Not to mention many of them use bots and fake copy paste machine learning tools to produce content. I think BMs have a big responsibility here to first of all ensure project is legit, and second of all to ensure the hunters are real people who are users themselves. The problem is I do not see any bounty project with a requirement for hunters to actually use the product.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 6 Rare Metaverse Coins Under $0.6 on: January 06, 2022, 01:46:59 PM
I personally don't think that any of these projects are going to survive long term.

Their valuations are simply way too inflated to be sustainable, and once this metaverse hype dies down they'll just be revealed as just another set of vapourware projects that used existing technology to hype up a buzzword.

Definitely not worth investing in anything other than Decentraland or Sandbox imo, stick with established metaverses since it's very hard to disrupt economies of scale in this area.

I would even go as far to say as they would not survive in medium term. As soon as the entire hype falls away just as it did with ICOs and Defi shitcoins,,, the smaller projects (which is majority of everything available now) will simply have users lose interest or angry that price is not going up, and then the dumping will start.

meta vaporware indeed!
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 06, 2022, 12:36:00 PM
Thanks for contest again!

And great news for Salernitana as discussed before in this thread and actually I realize I spelled their names wrong many times until I looked properly  Roll Eyes

And great news for us who miss the football! 10 whole games, what an entertainment, and what an opportunity for this table to change on our pool! Unless the league goes ahead and cancels the Covid doubt games of course.

Epiphany holiday in Italia, first time I ever heard Smiley

1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 06, 2022, 08:45:41 AM
Bologna versus Inter Milan, Atalanta versus Torino has both been postponed.
A good chance for Juventus to beat Napoli, will a defeat spoil their tittle hopes ?
Having been in a bad and shambolic shape and form, they'll loss, Juventus will win either if the half's.

I can only see this news from a chinese news portal though,,, everywhere else I can find right now says yes, highly unlikely to proceed but not yet officially called off. And I can see schedules still show full 10 games as scheduled for now. But we shall see.

Napoli bad form I guess as you say, but Juventus not great either. Hard to predict,,, I went for a draw.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: January 06, 2022, 08:06:58 AM

Only my team lost to Chelsea last night so that takes some of my happiness away.

There are a lot of people who wait for the last hour as well. They could literally just wager 1 bitcoin in a single minute if they want to, they are that big of whales and that's the biggest difference. I am not saying that we should all be doing it or we should all be staying away if we can't do it, but we should be at least be aware of it. That is why I wait for the last hour for each of them. That means I get to know what people are planning on doing and in that case I am going to see if I should participate more or not. In the end I do not jump into most of them to be fair, because in the end we are not going to get anything decent out of them for sure.

Er,,, you are not making much sense at all. Of course I know that already, I am literally having years of experience with gambling with crypto Smiley I was just mentioning how popular the wager contest is, and how tough it is to compete, that to win 10th place you needed more than 0.1 BTC.

That is a big compliment to the site Smiley

Just decided to try yesterday,,, and I saw just to get into top 10 would be 14 mbtc, so I left it to try today and right now if you check even 10th spot is already almost 0.1 BTC wagering. Bad decision for myself  as there is no way I can compete Grin
You seems to be so surprised with such situation, is it the first time for you trying to participate in a wagering contest?

You can see yourself on the leaderboard,,, if you have been playing there you would see who has been in the wagering contest (no it is not my first time). What is your username on the site?

Hey guys and Trofo so nice to see everyone here, I am so glad for another chance to win another pool as currently I am not near anywhere except in Serie A (which is very strange for me).

I unfortunately have to admit I am ultra low knowledgeable in these teams and I just thought Salah being the world player who did not win Ballon he will take his team to this one.

PM you Trofo already and thanks Sportsbet again!
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you trade your crypto on: January 05, 2022, 12:17:42 PM
Binance for a very long time because you could do KYC free without trading for 2 BTC a day but I moved out long ago because of that. I now sell my BTC only p2p from one or two forum members who I trust a lot, or from contacts they gave me also on P2P,,, I really enjoy it because it is better rates and instant and never need to wait or worry like at exchanges.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 05, 2022, 10:28:38 AM
Some games could be postponed from the next turn in 2 days.

It's a crucial situation here in Italy game technically could not be postponed and if not played will be a loss for the team who cannot play the game.

Let's see what happens, teams like Napoli, Udinese are at risk.

I guess it is the same in every league where if you cannot postpone then you are forced to play since technically if you can name enough players including reserves you have to play. And maybe clubs would prefer to lose the game then do that. And the opponent who has a free 3 points will of course make it even more difficult to postpone. Let us see. Spain already making it a farce,,, Italy usually can do better Smiley

Totally crazy but good to see more and more people wagering the big bucks here. Well done! And good luck you all!

1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Have we opened the bear season? on: January 05, 2022, 06:56:19 AM
Well,,, as a long time experiencer of winter (I actually came in right during the last bull run) I can tell you that yes, this does look a lot like we are in the start of the bear season.

Then again, prices have not really crashed so badly from ATH yet,,, so maybe this is no longer the exact bull/bear run periods we are used to seeing.

NFT and Defi tokens are still going crazy too,,,
1036  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Hoping there's another someone that needed Pizza lol on: January 04, 2022, 01:01:45 PM
To answer original response, I guess it is not about shipping it from anywhere in the world,,, rather it is the person buying it for the orderer, just like the original person did on Bitcoin Pizza Day.

Order from phone and pay by card, or order online and pay by card, and the recipient simply paying back the amount with BTC.

This was how it was originally done right? Wink
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Annual January 3rd Proof of Keys Celebration of the Genesis Block on: January 04, 2022, 10:51:34 AM
I move regularly all my coins end of every period according to my "threshold" amount, never on a fixed date, more like it depends on the price of Bitcoin, the amount in BTC I have at a certain time. I know coins in exchange or service or whatever is not safe,,, but it is much easier for me to receive certain BTC repeatedly in a small account and then withdraw it for one fixed fee to my wallet.

Rather than get 10x input and then force to pay big fee to send it all out.

Proof of key good idea but anybody who does this probably will not follow this funny time.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 04, 2022, 09:31:48 AM
The problem is that their current performance is erratic which means that Milan will be slightly underdog.
Besides that, the San Siro this season is still quite haunted for several teams in Serie A.
On the other hand, this does not mean that Milan is superior here because their performance in the last few matches is also less consistent.
but i will start a risky bet by betting on milan in this game

Milan slightly underdog? Never at home and definitely not according to the odds I can see right now though and it was the same a few days ago, they are still very much the favorites,,, even if not by much. Which then makes sense to bet on the opponent for 50% more winnings? As risky as it can be to bet on Milan this season,,, even riskier to bet on Mourinho. BTTS is the most sensible option for this match I would say.

Now I am wondering why baseball made it big outside USA but American football did not,,,

There's CFL (Canada) and there is/was XFL (iirc it's been paused due to COVID and still hasn't resumed). I would be very surprised if either of these had a noticable impact on American Football's total turnover. American Football seems to be only played in NA. Baseball, while not as popular, does seem to be played outside of NA. For example, Japan has at least 1 baseball league that you can bet on. I don't think those markets would drive volume but it would probably make more bettors familiar with the sport.

edit: also NCAA which might have a decent amount of volume but still less than NFL

I forgot Canada also plays most of the sports in USA Smiley But indeed,,, even counting Canadian betting I guess it would not be enough to push out all the other sports.

I do know there is a lot of betting in football though,,, just perhaps they did not choose to make it on Sportsbet.io even this forum seems to have a few threads related and I know the other sportsbook on crypto always have NFL promos.

Japanese people are big on baseball (also Koreans according to my experience) but not sure if they bet on it.

@DireWolfM14 I know online betting is hard to be legal in USA (according to people) but I always find them betting in crypto anyway Smiley Maybe they just do not know yet about it?
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What makes mataverse coins stand out? on: January 04, 2022, 06:34:43 AM
And for many people I know having these avatars,,, it is not useless for them. It literally is like having Twitter or Facebook, but with an avatar instead of a wall. This is how it is to me anyway  Wink

To enter the world of the Metaverse early is a very good decision if we realize early on how much potential it holds in the future. But again as effective for us, because so far everything has not been realized perfectly. even in the Virtual version today it must be able to reach using VR and the price is not cheap either. This is only for people who are royal and crazy about the digital world. As for us, this is not too interesting. Except investing in Meta-based crypto only.

Right man,,, a very good decision for you, but it is not my cup of tea or for a lot of people for that matter. I also like living in fantasy worlds but I never want to be like those people who spend more hours of their day investing into their online avatar and then in the real world do nothing but eat ramen and not contribute to society. I even know mothers who just do that all day and can dedicate their life to building content online for their friends,,, and their kids are with their nannies. That kind of world and existence you are welcome to it but it is definitely not for me.

You talking about metaverse and expensive VR etc? That is again another example that not everyone talking about metaverse is knowing what they are talking about.
