1041  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it time for Old Signature campaigns to redesign? on: May 14, 2023, 07:44:10 AM

Regarding the browser compatibility, it's been always the main issue since the first time sig design launched. We signature designers are still figuring out the best way until now to make it compatible, but there are some dilemmas on it. If you want to make the sig design more attractive, then you have to remove some parts so the space could be used on its styling. In otherwise, if the project owners want to put the contents as many as possible, then it forces us to ignore the style aspect and focus more on putting the contents. Then when you want it mobile-friendly, you have to reduce both of the contents and the stylings, so everything could be fit on the mobile screen. The problem is, how to make the sig design looks good on both of mobile and desktop, but with many contents and info on it, yet still looks beautiful.
I'm sure you have represented the hidden feelings of all designers in this forum. It is indeed a difficult situation where companies have to provide the best advertising graphic presentation to the community from the appearance of all the devices they use, while there are some limitations that may not all designer clients know or don't care about that require us to make their requests possible.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is one limitation of bitcoin on: May 14, 2023, 07:24:36 AM
I am facing a real world issue that prevents me from using Bitcoin.

I live in Pakistan and for last three days cellular internet service all across the country is suspended because of prevailing law and order situation. Internet is working on fixed line connection that is reaching homes. So there is still some connectivity available.

If government shut down internet service even on fixed line connection then there will be complete internet blackout in the country and in that situation we cant use bitcoin.

I think this is also one of limitation of bitcoin that we need internet to use it.
It was only 3 days, not a problem for basically alternative entity use. The intensity of using bitcoin for micro-transactions is still very low especially in developing countries. That doesn't mean you can't pay for something with your local currency at the same time.

Speaking of the internet, the longer an infrastructure is used in all sectors of the country, the higher the level of need, including the internet that must exist to keep up with the era of high accessibility. So I don't believe even the government itself can survive without the internet
1043  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AntiDolos extortion/scam on: May 14, 2023, 03:19:33 AM

I think it's still on point. I mean, can even a legitimate project be beaten by a less influential review company? If they only need $1k not to post bullshit reviews, at least you have a bigger allocation than that to pay for other ad services that drive your project's visibility faster. In the end, they fell far behind and catching up was a waste of time.
On my side, they'renot a big bully tbh. I had never even heard of their site.

Glad to hear about us now.
Suppose we are a bunch of stupid frauds who extort money from people
Does this change the truth about the documents we expose about the projects? Smiley

We have analyzed dozen projects so far. From scam projects to good ICOs.
Maybe we can take money and make weak projects look good, but can we destroy good projects with lies? While every paragraph comes with evidence and so far 90% of the scams that we exposed have been proven.[/b]
Some of my questions:
  • Was the offer of $1k valid (assuming only a friendly offer, no extortion at all)?
  • (if you answered yes to the question above) In the title of the published article[1]  of course this sounds bad for readers in general, but is it okay for you to still offer marketing services to projects that you mark yourself as a risk?
  • What will you do if BKS hires marketing services, I mean will you still publish the same article[1] on your site? Or will you speak differently elsewhere?

1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Awareness: Bitcoin logos on T-Shirts on: May 13, 2023, 04:14:34 PM
I've tried wearing one and trust me, no one even cares about the Bitcoin logo, no one asked me what's logo is it, or anything that poked their interest, or let's say somebody will asked what is it, the you'll say Bitcoin, and the first idea that will come up to their mind is "scam" because of scammers using bitcoin that has been reported in television so many times already.

If we really want Bitcoin awareness in a positive way, I think the Government has the only power to that in the majority of places.
Relying solely on the logo sometimes goes nowhere, it takes some appropriate emphasis to really grab attention especially in offensive environments, although you should only allow a small space for the logo itself. In my environment, humorous writing attracts more young people.
1045  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bc.game fait withdraw issue scam ? bcgames on: May 13, 2023, 03:48:49 PM
I casually looked at trustpilot's reviews [1], it seems that support will care more there especially one star reviews. Just look, they seem to be actively answering some user complaints even the last 3 days ago. Don't know if one of them is your review, if not then you should try to write something there.

1046  Economy / Services / Re: [$50/week] 1/3 signature ad spaces + avatar available (Avg. 30+ posts per week) on: May 13, 2023, 01:01:32 PM
Ridiculously, I actually tried to implement this campaign a few months ago for some non-profit projects using my own sig. designs. It looks like this,

Unfortunately I don't also use an address shortener to track how many clicks were achieved. Personally, I find it more difficult to create 3 mini signature codes in one line if the customer also asks to enter some offer content. Space limitations have recently been talked about because they crop up on some device screens. However all customers will demand the perfect look.
1047  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and trading in crypto: can make you or mar you. on: May 13, 2023, 12:28:46 PM
For me, investing in cryptocurrency was not the best choice, to put it mildly. Whoever is thinking of investing in crypto, I want to warn you. Guys, this is not where you can try to work painlessly. You need to be ready to go.
And if you know how people feel when they see your success by taking that risk, there's a bad feeling there. lol

So it will still be a difficult decision to discourage people from investing while you're doing it yourself. As long as no one knows who luck will side with next, I won't be too hard on limiting people's curiosity. I mean, don't use the word inhibit a lot, just be more clear about the risks.
1048  Economy / Economics / Re: The thin line between contentment & living below potential, Patience & wasting t on: May 13, 2023, 06:40:45 AM
~
But op asked about mindset over business strategy.
Measuring contentment is relative depending on several factors such as environment lifestyle. There are some business people who survive for years with a flat income without updating their strategy because they think they are quite successful compared to the people around them, the income at that time is enough to guarantee that their standard of living will still be higher than average. Economic disparities are sometimes felt more in some places, so that the comparison will not be difficult to determine the level of contentment individually.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend's investment in Bitcoin on: May 12, 2023, 07:31:45 AM
Firstly, their is no point in mentioning your guys name,
Or it will be a risk at some point if the OP doesn't really care about privacy. I don't know how long OP will stay in this forum and have a lot of activities. Just imagine if the OP disclosed a lot of anything related to his privacy then someone nearby matched some of the things (especially the names of his friends) that he had written to do something distasteful.
1050  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Security risk notice: Google Authenticator's cloud sync feature on: May 12, 2023, 07:21:36 AM
Thanks for this urgent attention. This should apply to all accounts using 2fa security methods other than exchanges, this should be on the service's discussion board.
Luckily I retired from using this authenticator app a long time ago due to limited backup methods, and unfortunately, I wasn't able to restore some of the accounts connected to it.
1051  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dont receive password reset email from freebitco on: May 12, 2023, 07:11:42 AM
Tips for you, try to make sure one below;
The only reasons someone would not get the password change email is either it is getting filtered by their email provider (spam folder or not delivered) or the account has been banned for multi-accounting abuse.

If you've indeed been hacked, probably the easiest verification you'll need is to sign ownership of the source address of the funds before the email change log date, just if you uswd self-custody wallets.
1052  Economy / Collectibles / Re: What should I ask Chat GPT about Crypto Collectibles? on: May 12, 2023, 06:55:05 AM
Not supporting images is the only limitation of ChatGPT which might be the reason BTC forum users don't take advantage of this Ai. Specifically asking about the originality of physical goods (although Ai itself doesn't vouch for it's opinion), presenting with pictures will explain better than long text.
1053  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Futures trading and spots trading explained briefly on: May 12, 2023, 06:38:50 AM
Spot trading is regular trading, futures trading is opportunity trading, it's that simple.
People's preferences can be different, you also have to take a different way. In general, I don't think that people will properly understand the types of trading with simple explanations without showing the trading interface directly.

1055  Other / Meta / Re: Account rank and posts on: May 10, 2023, 01:45:45 AM
That some way to state the fact. I'm sure OP understands but, if I may;
Is it only posts that counts towards your being active and counts in the activity meter?
I thought sending pm did matter too and counts towards have been active.

You ask in a different context. The activity op is asking about is the "activity count" reflected on the profile page which affects rankings. The activity you mean means nothing if you expect to rank up, even you are considered active when you log in for the first time without doing anything.
1056  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin Community Chain KCC on: May 10, 2023, 01:34:44 AM
I STILL haven't moved my Bitcoin off exchange, was hoping to for the price to drop ($25k ish) so I could buy more and move it all together so the fee wouldn't burn as large a %

It doesn't differentiate the basic fees of whether you wanna send it later or today. 50k sats = 50k sats, it will be taken from some of the bitcoins you withdraw. At worst, the network will get clogged even more and then there will be adjustments for withdrawing fees from Kucoin. Now that the recommended fee has gone up a few times to get average priority, my estimate is that some exchanges will increase that too by at least 2 times (it will be 100k sats on Kucoin withdrawals.
1057  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you Spending Money the Wrong Way in Pursuit of Happiness? on: May 10, 2023, 12:22:04 AM
Lots of pros and cons, for example

  • buy more experiences and fewer material goods
Some experiences are not worth fighting for or risking. In this forum, many people tell how they bought their first investment experience, they had to "pay" a very high price because they were deceived. In this case, buying material goods is more feasible if they know about the ending.

In conclusion, everyone knows how they should be happy. If you did an opinion survey of the richest people, they probably wouldn't mention money at all in this context.
1058  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Surprise] Kita sudah ada sub board Baru on: May 10, 2023, 12:00:10 AM
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Awareness: Bitcoin logos on T-Shirts on: May 09, 2023, 11:42:35 PM
I can say that this is good, but again, does he explain to his customers what Bitcoin is before selling it to them?
The OP mentioned that the seller is an influencer, I'm more sure if the shirt is promoted through a special place.

By bringing the logo over the real thing visually, the hope is limited to raising awareness, not knowledge. Making people aware doesn't necessarily have to teach them either, people's level of curiosity can vary every time they see something new. Even if the average person who sees it is the type of person who doesn't care, it doesn't mean that a few of them won't find out harder.
1060  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: May 08, 2023, 04:50:59 PM
In my country, 56yo is the set retirement age, while in the US it is an average of 63 to 65. In conclusion, individually the productive age of each employee can be different and sometimes some aren;t ready for their retirement, so 2 years imo isn't too much addition to make lots of protests here and there.
But I agree that this policy shouldn't be implemented all at once. Actually there is a more subtle way that isn't provocative for the majority of workers, like op's last suggestion.
