Dev how we can back my balance?!!!! And why since block 7770 chain regular get a big amount of orphans? In PoS 2.0 "Block time" setting same like it was at PoW? And after 40K block you are set also 64 seconds/block? Or not?

MinerTFX you are awesome lol. 6 hours you answer on my simple question: Daemon from your Dropbox link using now or not?Huh? Hope you are see that question now.

I DONT AWNSER YOU BECAUSE YOU ASK STUPID THINGS ON COINS YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE GOTTEN IN THE FIRST PLACE BECAUSE YOU LANDED ON A FORK.

YOU WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN ONLY WHILE THE REST TRIES TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX THIS MESS.

IS THAT CLEAR ENOUGH?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh
You are idiot? I'm not staking and all what I'm saying here before now is reall. Check the thread and not start to Blaim here only because you cannot do what you want to do here!!! I'm asked you about help with my wallet.dat one time only. And it's a normal that I'm want to know how that issue can be fix. What you do all that time can you clear post here to fix it step by step?Huh You are see that here is much many than enought errors in coding or not?Huh And try to put all around to fork chain all that time. I'm speak about nodes two days ago with xPooky in thread. Your opinion was that it's not help. But you two days in raw now try to do the same thing and ignore all who are say another point of view. Before say to anyone that about its IQ be ready to hold answer for you private opinion and have any really facts to say that. You are ignor me and repost today all that I'm send you in PM yersterday. Im have here only one aim really help and fix this shot faster and strong not on 2 hours for sell coins on exchange. I can do that all that time, but not do. You are have any rights here to put same negative words in my address. I'm not want to down to your level and start now set FUD here about you person. For getting any high opinion about yourself and your skills from another need show any at first without any promises. Why you are not want to make a normal hardfork with rollback to 40k block, exactly better relaunch chain with premain and exchanged coins 1 to 1 ? I'm say that before my trouble with balance, when I'm can sell it simple. If you even try to fix that code now it's later to do,you would do that half year even if you are would be a great coder. You can clear say what issue have blackcoin and Spreadcoin and how it's take a place here? I'm sure that you now again or come out or post any shit, but not answer on that question. Ppl around who are in now,not so stupid like you think and if they are not post any now they are started to do that later. Think about that you are not so smart to try get profit by way that you try to do that now.

You are spamming the thread.  You said you had a backup of wallet.dat so I told you exactly how to get your coins back using that.  Someone else offered to try and recover them for you.  Now you are just being rude and annoying.

the node with that checkpoint key is running full now so if you make sure 91.121.6.19 is in conf you should be able to stay on right chain after resync. ( according to original dev)

Still forked.

I just resynced with that node only and I already have 7 blocks in like 30 seconds.
but you are on the same block as the explorer?

oke my test on chain forks me off again also

I wonder who is rolling the explorer without error, block on explorer keep increase correctly (if we choose it is correct one)?

I believe it is luck.  I can resync with the explorer but if I start to stake it is a matter of time before I fork.  This is why I said before I believe it forks when the wallet finds a block at the same time as the network so instead of orphaning the block and rejoining the network it forks.  You can get onesy twosy blocks this way if you don't mind babysitting the wallet all day and resyncing over and over.  This is probably what is happening.  I suppose if you had enough weight and you did that you could drive the chain forward with a lot of blocks for yourself.  Maybe someone is doing that?

Not really, it's wallet weakness after block 40k.

I totally agree with you about there is no orphaning check and every wallet went to wrong way. But I don't think if someone has enough weight can drive chain forward for himself, more weight, more chance to wrong chain.

No I agree there is a wallet problem.  I am saying the blocks on the explorer are probably luck.  If you resync and start staking sometimes you can get one to show up on the explorer (luck) but eventually you get forked off.  Not sure what it is like now though.  I am staking again so we'll see if I stay on it or fork again

Actually now that I think about it.  As long as the exchange wallets are not staking and they have the same addnodes as everyone else (and ideally the explorer too) then they shouldn't fork.  If the forks are caused by staking blocks and not properly orphaning them then the network should hold together with all non-staking wallets.

Network weight is increasing on explorer chain over last hour or two.  More people seem to be rejoining it.

How do we make sure the explorer stays on that chain?  I mean we are shooting for making that the only chain right?  How do we make sure it doesn't follow a fork?

Ok,if all is fine Dev tell me how me salvage my wallet.dat? It's corrupt on forked chain when I'm not do "dumpprivatekey" command. How its can be back up now? I need help here.
does it tell you that its corrupt?
does it start while the wallet.dat is in there? or does it give you an error?

It's on start tell that it corrupt and cannot salvage it. After restart with new wallet.dat file my current wallet.dat changed to wallet.12467874.bak and its same situation with all copies of my address on few OS. Command from prompt "Salvagewallet" and rescan not take any positive effect.
Oh
Do you have a backup of the wallet?
Save the wallet.12467874.bak somewhere safe also
try using a backup of the wallet
do you have any backup?  Sad
it can be fixed either way, but its much easier for you if you have backups

I have versions of my wallet.dat only copied in different time.
that can work because it holds many of your keys. as long as you did not create a hundred addresses after then it should work.
put it in and test
lol I'm create only one address. So totally I have it two.
In what? And how I must put it?  Like wallet.dat or like .bak? In the same wallet version? Im cannot find current litedoged link around 5 hours guy cannot answer me here on that simple question. MinerTWX are you blind? I'm ask you third time that now,you are so busy? Answer all around only not on my posts lol.

If you rename or delete the folder where wallet.dat is normally located and then launch the wallet it will recreate the folder and create a new wallet.dat.  All you have to do is exit the wallet program, copy your backup version of wallet.dat into that folder (overwrite the one in there), relaunch the wallet program.  The wallet.dat file tells the wallet program what your addresses are and it contains the private keys for your addresses so as long as you have a copy of that wallet.dat you just need it in the right spot when you launch the program and it will find your coins.  Other files in there contain information about the chain so you may have to wait for it to sync but your coins will appear in the wallet when it is done syncing.

I believe right at the moment we are still waiting for the fixed wallet so don't sync past 40k until you have the new wallet.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - very currency many coin - lite version of dogecoin on: April 17, 2015, 01:13:54 AM
change version of wallet and chainparams.cpp so ppl get on that 1 always. that server is running over 400 days already and never been offline.

is there a way to make more of these nodes as seeds? i have multiple servers for it.

We need some way to not have the coin totally dependent on a single server always being on.  Is there not a way to do more than one checkpoint server?  Is there a way to change the wallet code so that it can prevent the constant forking but not depend on that server always being on?

Sooner or later, something will bring down the server (internet outage, extended power outage, OS crash).  Always 100% uptime forever is not realistic.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - very currency many coin - lite version of dogecoin on: April 16, 2015, 01:16:46 PM
It looks like if the wallet stakes a block at the same time as another block on the network it stays on the chain containing the block it staked even if that block should have orphaned.  Instead of properly orphaning the block and moving back to the longest chain (as it did prior to block 40k) it never orphans its own blocks and just forks instead.

after a lot of testing and coding and doing today with d57heinz and xSpooky i am afraid that the core code of the coin is so messed up that my best trow at it is to hard fork the coin with a complete new codebase. as the dev is unwilling or unable to fix the code so we don't fork all the time.

i don't want to spend another day trying to do the dev's job unless community is behind it. So best is to see what all others say about it.

Sounds like a viable and permanent solution to me

Well I would say that if it isn't fixed soon then any fix will not be sufficient to save it.  If it stays stuck for an extended period everyone will just dump as soon as it is fixed.  Obviously if it isn't fixed at all then it is doomed.  So if a viable fix can actually be done soon then that would be the best option no matter what it means in terms of rollbacks or forks or whatever.

Block explorer shows about 10 fewer connections than it was a couple hours ago.

I think the best is to go with the block explorer chain.. Minerftw and I and got it working and it also syncs nice with the block explorer.  I feel goin with this chain is the best solution if there is one in this case.. If we roll back to 40001 then all the transaction that occurred on exchanges are a mess.. Not sure what everyone thinks  but I for one support goin with the chain the block explorer has been on all along..

If you all agree we can get new wallet made up shortly

Best Regards
d57heinz

Yes.  Stick with block explorer.  Do not roll back.  Roll back will be huge clusterfuck.

+1 block explorer has the fork everyones been trying to get on

Who is running the block explorer?  That person should be in on this so that the explorer is on the corrected wallet version right out of the gate.
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDOGE] LiteDoge - very currency many coin - lite version of dogecoin on: April 15, 2015, 04:30:17 PM
Unless there is a wallet that will prevent this massive forking from happening again I guess choosing a fork (and the winners of the fork lotto) is kind of secondary.

With block rewards under 10k, only about 13.5 million LDOGE are created a day.  There are nearly 2.75 Billion LDOGE out there right now so while shitty, it really is a minor detail.  Also, its not like there is active scamming going on here.  It would have to be the least lucrative and most pointless scam in crypto history.  Some people are just going to be lucky and have their blocks accepted as valid.  Some are going to lose a whole day of staking.  Finally there is the issue that the LDOGE market was open to trading, deposits, and withdrawals for a time before the forking was being widely acknowledged.  This will turn into an epic clusterfuck if bittrex is asked to roll back the market.  Best thing for LDOGE is just get this issue fixed as soon as possible and move on.

Give me your LDOGE address and I will send you 1 million once the network is chugging along again.

There is no getting around it, exchanges were not on same chain as explorer and no reason to believe exchanges were on the same chain as each other.  No matter what chain is selected as winner, exchanges and others will have to deal with lost transactions.  How they deal with rolling back transactions on their exchange is their issue but there is no way to select a fork and not have this happen.

Are you planning to roll back to block 40k?  I think no matter which fork you call the correct fork it will provide an unfair advantage to whoever was on it since they will have mined all of the blocks on it.
someone will have extra luck Smiley

That doesn't really address the problem.  In two days I had staked 200% of what I had in my wallet to begin with and I already had quite a lot.  If the fix is just a giveaway to a few then this coin is fucked.

so you staked wrong. you staked orphans then. so you say because all others on other chain/fork or whatever that your 200% is normal and not a few lucky stakes? If others weren't on other chains then you should't get these you did either with normal network weight etc

What I am a saying is that the network fractured into so many chains that whoever is on the one that is chosen as "correct" going forward had way more weight then they should have.  Just to prove the point I have now restarted my wallet and synced it with the chain that the block explorer is on.  I now see that I am expected to stake every 5 minutes.  Before the network forked so badly I was expected to stake about every 9 hours.  So if we choose the chain the block explorer is on as the "correct" chain then whoever has been on this chain all along has been staking way higher than they should have for 2 days and if we stick with this then I am staking way higher than I should be right now.

EDIT: just got my first block

maybe adding hardcoded nodes would fix this

there are 3 hardcoded seeds/nodes in wallet. but those are on different chain then explorer and exchanges are. adding more corrupt nodes will only provide more chaos.

i hate to say it but it would be the best if you don't try to sync again (risk to end on a side chain is high) and hope the dev fix it.

i closed 3 servers with nodes earlier today and i will wait with booting them until i see dev doing something first before we break all other chains.

My wallet never would sync without addnodes in the conf file.  Hard coded nodes were not connecting for me.  I have my wallet turned off also because if I do add the addnodes in the conf file it syncs to a small branch of the chain and then starts cranking out tons of stake blocks.

So fractured network and no dev is that about the size of it?

those 3 hardcoded nodes are lower then explorer in blocks also.

I can't connect to anything without addnodes in my conf.  It just sits at 0 connections.
