1061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was shocked that my Neighbor also used bitcoin as mode of payment on: June 07, 2023, 06:55:12 AM
And his answer to me is that his cousin is doing bitcoin trade and he mentioned to him that bitcoin is his cousin's primary source of income, and he also advised him that bitcoin can be used as an option for payment for his goods. , and also taught him how to do it.

It's funny because at least I'm not alone in our place anymore, and I also told my neighbor that if he wants to ask a question, He can ask me anytime.

How long does your neighbor business accepting Bitcoin and what’s his feedback so far on using it? Bitcoin price is very volatile recently which might affect all his sales on Bitcoin if he didn’t convert in fiat immediately.

It’s nice to see a local small store using Bitcoin as mode of payment. I will be happy to support store like this if I see in my area but so far no one here is doing this kind of movement for Bitcoin. What particular area you are. I’m assuming you are from Philippines too because sari sari store is our local term for mini store.

Posting some picture of it will make this story more interesting.
1062  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: June 06, 2023, 05:00:40 PM

Using different wallet for gambling and savings is indeed good but it doesn’t increase the security of your account you are just using different wallet. It only minimize your losses when your account was hack.

I think 2FA and SMS verification are already enough safety precautions for securing casino account. We usually don’t leave balance on our casino account so I don’t see this security concerns as major concern. I’m gambling since 2016 via online casino and I didn’t experience even a single case that my is hacked. I don’t use any extra security aside from my password on my account.

Our casino account will be safe if you don’t login from links provided by other user. Always bookmark the official website and you will be safe even without this extra security.

I do the same as you and keep my balances small on casino sites but there are a lot of members with high balances on there (over 1000$ and a lot more). I do 2FA for every casino as we have had multiple cases on this forum where accounts got hacked so I would be carefull. It is not because it hasn’t happened to you, that it can’t happen so I would always add 2FA to my accounts.
Each casino site is centralize and when you deposit funds there or receive gambling winnings, everything is controlled by the team of that casino site. so there is nothing you can do if they refuse to give you that fund. 2FA can protect you from hackers but it won't give you the same freedom as decentralize. therefore, it is very risky to keep high quality funds on any centralized platform, be it an exchange platform or a gambling platform. So considering these things it is better not to hold high funds on any gambling site

Exactly, Player should deposit only what they can afford to lose regardless with 2FA and other extra layer security because a shady casino can hold the funds without any further explanation and use the ToS against players. There’s tons of report here that money was freeze by the casino. Holding huge amount in there that you can’t afford to lose is really a bad idea. Gambling is not a source of income or investment. People should stop depositing in there like it was a bank or something because there’s a lot of risk involved on depositing huge money on a centralized casino.

1063  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: June 06, 2023, 04:40:40 PM
Don't really follow the conference league so don't really know which of the two teams that will compete in the final is the favorite, and duelbits offers a freebet promotion for those who bet $ 20 on this final match
https://twitter.com/Duelbits/status/1665993612482555906

Another good promotion
The two teams have practically equal chances to be the champion, it's very balanced final
Look at the DuelBits website, the equal chances of each team:

Betting single on a very balanced game is indeed a fair choice for having a freebet worth half of the bet amount. Anyone that wants to bet on Europa league should avail this promotion because this is great deal because its a extra bucks for a fair bet.

According to the rules:
Quote
The single must be placed at minimum 1.5 odds.

So I think it's a good strategy to bet on Total Under 2.75 with 1.54 odds, and then betting on Man. City victory (1.49)  Grin

This is just a freebet with only 10$ value which the original free bet won’t be included on payout. It’s just a waste to bet it on the minimum required odds while you have nothing to lose on it. Bet it straight on Man City.  Wink
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unique sentence in Spain: judge rules that a debt must be paid in Bitcoin, not € on: June 06, 2023, 03:11:44 PM
Found an interesting article today coming from Spain, it says that someone contracted a debt with another private party, it was a simple two-guy debt setting without a legal agreement other than Whatsapp messages. "I need X amount of money, I will pay you back". The creditor accepted and so sent 0.58 BTC to this guy which eventually refused to pay back. What's interesting is that for the first time ever the judge said the debt plus interest must be paid back in Bitcoin, not the fiat currency (EUR in Spain). Due counterparty risk, he will have to pay more since by the time the agreement happened the price of Bitcoin was cheaper, specifically, 14.000€ at current rate, 5.900€ back then.

Not surprising because the debt is in Bitcoin and not in Euro. Judge usually want to settle what’s the original debt. It’s like a debt in USD should be paid on USD not in Euro. The judge doesn’t consider the converted value because it’s a debt and not an investment.

I will be surprised if the judge will settle this in Euro despite the debt is on Bitcoin. The good news on this article was judge already considering Bitcoin as valuable asset since they are honoring its value.
1065  Local / Pilipinas / Atomic Wallet Hack on: June 04, 2023, 05:45:46 PM

1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 04, 2023, 04:51:25 PM
Is this for real? The last time I watch this kind of stuff is from Japan which their pornography themed by a contest or a tournament. I never thought that some country will do this for real.

I knew that there’s reality show like Naked on America that broadcast such competition while participants are naked but making the actual sex as tournament is on the different level.

You as a gambler..
1. What do you make of this?, is sex truly a sport and is it supposed to be carried out openly?
No. Sex should be private. This is more like a pornography than sports because the competition revolves on explicit things.

2. If casinos pick this up and make provisions available to users to bet on this supposed European sex Championship, would you bet?

No, this will be unpredictable because the scoring is very subjective.

1068  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN APPEAL] UID: 1035888 on: June 04, 2023, 11:45:19 AM
In my understanding, it is generally not permitted to create or use additional accounts if one of your accounts is banned.
By using this account you are essentially breaking the ban evasion rule:

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]

There’s an exception to this rule on the bottom part of the list that mprep created.

25. If you get banned (temporarily or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.

It’s allowed to create an account or use an alt account as long as you will only post on meta board. This exception is to give way for ban user to create an appeal by providing explanation and reason for their side.
1069  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun |20% RAKEBACK TO ALL|SLOTS|SPORTS BETTING|70% RAKEBACK RUSH HOUR on: June 04, 2023, 10:54:08 AM
I don’t think you should create a new account unless the support approves it because no one likes to see multi accounts even if your case is genuine so my advice would be is to wait for the support to sort your case. Furthermore scammers will always try their best to scam but what matters is how the casino responds and how their user’s support it and thus I’m glad to see that all here are supporting @Blackjack.fun in their fight.

Registration of new account is fine as long as you are using it only for the purpose of contacting the support. In the case above, The old account of the user is already banned after a long time of not playing. Blackjack.fun has a chat feature that you can easily catch the admin attention by chatting there. The email support replies back longer than chatting them on chatbox.

Many users do this in the past just contact admin. The only time multiple account is a bad idea is when you are using both account to abused the casino promotion.
1070  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing PokerWorld365: The Next Generation of Poker on: June 04, 2023, 10:48:28 AM
Correct me if I’m wrong, Is this casino only available on mobile application by downloading it on playstore and appstore? I don’t see any registration button on the website as well as the poker room itself to browse the game.

The only feature available on the website is the withdrawal and deposit. I’m confused on how your casino works if the website version is possible. Nevertheless this is like pokerstar application but the only difference is you are accepting Bitcoin as deposit. How many players is your average active daily player?

Welcome in the forum!
1071  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Outdated Electrum Wallet: My Experience. on: June 04, 2023, 04:17:15 AM
I’m confused on how the transaction has a feature of bump fee and remove since you can’t remove it once there’s a bump fee option because it was already unconfirmed on blockchain.

By the way, note that there is no such thing as "unconfirmed on blockchain". Unconfirmed transactions are not in the blockchain at all. They are in the mempool.

Thanks for this correction. What I'm trying to say here is the unconfirmed status on a blockchain explorer. Nice to have additional knowledge that mempool is still not part of the blockchain. I'm always confused about the role of the mempool with blockchain and always assume that they are both functioning as one which is the storage of all the transactions unconfirmed and confirmed. Thanks
1072  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One or more trading strategies, which one do you prefer? on: June 03, 2023, 03:43:12 PM

What about you, what is your preference, and why?

Having a combine strategy is considered as single strategy too because you are using multiple simultaneously to come up with a single decision. Combine strategy is the best for me so that you will multiple confirmation on trade to avoid fake signal.

The only risk of doing this is you might be confused for a having a multiple signal. Also you should clarify if indicator is what you really mean for your strategy because that’s your statement are pointing out with its use.
1073  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Outdated Electrum Wallet: My Experience. on: June 03, 2023, 03:38:28 PM

I immediately I clicked remove in all the transactions and the wallet balance increase to 0.060+. My mind was not yet okay. So has my friend came we were all wondering who was trying to hack the wallet.
We think all ways, and my friend suggested to update the wallet and see what would happen. So I went to google play store and typed Electrum and it pop up with, "cancel and update" and I clicked update and as the update finished, I checked back the wallet and the total amount of bitcoin came back to 0.066+BTC. Then my mind calm down.

So I am also advising users of Electrum Wallet to update their wallets time to time to avoid cyber attack.

I have an outdated electrum wallet and never experienced this kind of issue. There’s no way that a hacker will do this because how dumb he is for not transferring all your balance and didn’t use the highest fee to make this transaction quickly.

I’m confused on how the transaction has a feature of bump fee and remove since you can’t remove it once there’s a bump fee option because it was already unconfirmed on blockchain. I assume you just make an old transaction which you forgot to enter your password when you are gonna pay.
1074  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: P2P Scams : Where does the government stand on: June 02, 2023, 04:00:52 PM
Now my question is that in my country, crypto is not legalized, so in case if anyone is scammed through P2P, we can't take up this matter in the legal court because the country does not recognize the transactions of crypto in the first place.

Does this gives a free hand to scammers as they know that they cannot be punished by the court of law  Huh

If you are the crypto owner and you want to exchange it on fiat via P2P then I guess your assumption is correct since crypto doesn’t have any value on a government that is not legal. It’s same when you are selling illegal items and the counter party didn’t pay.

If you knew that you are dealing an item that is not legal on your country then you should protect it  by all means.

Also P2P on Binance has a dispute function. No one will  scammed if they will just check carefully.
1075  Economy / Gambling / Re: NAKAMOTO ROULETTE - open and live! on: June 02, 2023, 11:08:03 AM
is nakamoto roulette down again?  i can't open the site.

It’s working properly in my end. In your last week inquiry, Do you manage to access the site right after nakamoto roulette update you? Because the problem might be on your ISP block the website. Try to use VPN to access the casino for verification of your main source of problem.

@Nakamoto roulette I’m surprised that your casino keeps running well without a single complaint on your service. I thought this casino will just come and go quickly. Nice to see more roulette table added since I last visit your casino.
1076  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 120$ Loan defaulted by [Supreemo] on: June 02, 2023, 10:57:57 AM
Supported the flag against this user. It’s such a shame that this user defaulted on a loan while he has an alt account that can pay back immediately the default loan amount. He was very active on our local board before when his account doesn’t have campaign. He keeps translating long thread just to earn merit.

All his effort to farm those merits is just wasted. I feel ashamed that many loan defaulters came from my local board. As much as possible @Shasan, Don’t accept loan request from user that came from our country mainly those who earned merit rapidly because it’s a common local mentality here to get a loan and not pay back virtually or physically.

Siguro dapat coordinated ang mga translator na kasali sa AOBT para hindi masayang yung effort sa pag translate kung duplicate copy na.
1078  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making a x10 or x100 by short selling on: June 01, 2023, 04:53:48 PM
Hi there is a lot of talk about finding opportunities to make a x10 or a x100.

But I think it is easier to make a x10 by selling short...any tips to get the best ROI possible by selling short?

If finding a x10 to x100 profit coin is that easy then I guess everyone will be rich by now but since this kind of profit is very rare on coins with high volume then most likely you are looking for a coins with liquidity or trading volume in able for you to reach that profit.

How can I know which coins would have earned me x10 if I had sold short in the last few months?

Use an ATR(Average True Range) indicator to find what’s coin that has a price change that will give you that profit range. This is very hard to spot an so risky because you are looking for a volatile assets or using a high leverage just hit that target.

A piece of advice, Don’t do this kind of risky trade. Not worth it.
1079  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Discussion] Pagbili ng Bitcoin Physically/IRL P2P on: June 01, 2023, 10:07:59 AM

1080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 01, 2023, 09:56:49 AM
There might be surprises because Miami Heat has been very unpredictable.
Somehow, I have to agree with you there. Miami Heat's journey to the NBA Finals this year is really remarkable starting from the play-in tournament, playoffs, and now finally, NBA Finals. The last time an 8th seeded-team reach the NBA Finals was way back in 1998-99, which was the New York Knicks.
Beating the No. 1 Seed Milwaukee Bucks in the First Round, the No. 5 Seed New York Knicks in the Conference Semi-Finals, and beating the No. 2 Seed Boston Celtics in the Conference Finals, the 8th seed Miami Heat is really unpredictable.

You actually don't have to go a long way in the past. When it was 3-0 we all almost certainly thought that they were going to go to the finals. But after that, they had to create some drama and make it 3-3. The Miami Heat eventually got to the finals. That's why it is actually hard to credit the results with the Miami Heat right now.

That’s not a drama. It’s not necessary that a team already won the series when they get 3-0 against their opponents. Gabe Vincent already injured on game 4 while Bam and Butler already struggle since Boston already knew how they counter these players.

On playoffs, The series is not over until a team reach for so there’s still a chance even the odds of overcoming 3-0 is very slim.

Also Boston really have a shot on that game 7 match if their ace player Tatum is not injured. Heat is very lucky that they manage to to stop the momentum of Boston on the last game.
