They wouldnt have to hold shit. They have a direct link to your bank account! Worst case is they would have to insure transactions by repaying in dollars. They have a bank account, my paypal account and a credit card account for me. If someone buys a car from me on ebay an I dont deliver they take everything a got in my pp then my bank them max out my credit, if that doesnt cover it they put my account in the negative.
Uh, you are mistaken. A buyer can no longer pay for a car through Paypal and in fact, ebaymotors is one of the few sections of ebay in which sellers may insist on cash in person, certified check, wire or other non-virtual methods of payment. A deposit for the sale of a car, not to exceed USD $1K as I recall but I do not use Paypal in any way for vehicle sales. I have sold over fifty (50) cars of various types on ebay and know what I am talking about. My $.02.
I dont sell cars there but I am sure you are right but you are just proving my point paypal is in the business of stopping fraud. They could put a 1k limit on btc purchases

It is that business model now! and it works. I cant make a fake paypal and buy items! There would be any greater incentive to do this with bitcoin than say gold coins on ebay in fact there would be less incentive.
So scammers are gonna go out in mass and get fake bank accounts, fake power bills, fake addresses because now you could get bitcoins .. come on get real.
You live in a fantasy world where no solutions are needed because the real world problems businesses actually face miraculously don't exist. The problems you face have already been solved by Paypal. Your problems are not their problems they are the big boys for a reason

I wanna know the method. I wont post it publicly and will give a tip for the information. I cant imagine it is something I dont already know, but am curious. I have been buying and selling for paypal for a year now and if there is a charge back method I dont know of then it is worth a bit for me to find out. Thanks

A direct link to your bank account doesn't help because ACH transfers are reversible. I have no idea what point you are trying to make here. I am guessing you are saying if paypal seizes the funds you can charge back? if that is the case it's not true
They have a bank account, my paypal account and a credit card account for me. If someone buys a car from me on ebay an I dont deliver they take everything a got in my pp then my bank them max out my credit, if that doesnt cover it they put my account in the negative.
If you're a scammer using a throwaway account, putting the account in the negative doesn't do anything. There are already safe guards in place for that situation. This business model will lead to a death spiral. Once scammers find the flaw in it, you get more and more scammers. This requires you to raise your prices to cover your costs of preventing fraud and covering fraud losses. The fraudsters don't care how high your prices are, they're not paying them anyway. So you wind up scaring off legitimate users and increasing your fraud percentage.
I can tell you dont use paypal.

Are you fucking stupid? Pardon my french, but seriously? Syria is attacking it's own citizens with chemical weapons! I am from Germany and I can assure you that Putin is NOT acting more democratic (presidential) than Obama in any way, that statement is just plain stupid and wrong. Russia is an ally of Syria and is afraid of it's investments going down the drain. Next time please read up a little before posting stupid comments like that! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia%E2%80%93Syria_relations#Economic_relationsAnd just fyi: Europe is flooded with syrian children who lost their parents in governement attacks against their own population! so do you actually think that sending in a bunch of cruise missiles to bomb as yet unspecified targets, while at the same time promising no further escalation of military action, will seriously do anything other than cause a worsening of the situation? I think doing nothing and letting civilians die in vain is worse. yeah. It is pretty easy to condemn your governemnt for trying to stop the slaughter with a few airstrikes and "praising" Russia for it's intervention, but the fact remains that chemical weapons count as warcrimes and are punishable by death. Even in Germany, and we don't have a death penalty under normal circumstances. The only reason why Germany has not taken any sides right now is because we are allied with both Russia and the US. But you can be sure that Putins statement was not his own but a direct reaction to European intervention... then let germany send its children to die. Fuck you!

You could have 6 billion signatures. Paypal still wouldn't accept bitcoin. Whether people want it or not they aren't going to stop using it. For 99% of internet users PayPal works and it works very well.
They have shown some serious interest in bitcoin recently. Stranger things have happened. It's definitely not hopeless, though it's probably still at least a bit too early. The trick will be to come up with some kind of reasonable suggestion for how PayPal might interact with Bitcoins that actually furthers their strategic interests rather than threatening them. For example, native Bitcoin payments don't offer any buyer protection. A key part of PayPal's business is offering buyer protection. And that's a reason many people prefer to use PayPal rather than Bitcoins to deal with an untrusted seller. PayPal could offer a buyer protection scheme if they just held the seller's Bitcoins for some amount of time. They wouldnt have to hold shit. They have a direct link to your bank account! Worst case is they would have to insure transactions by repaying in dollars. They have a bank account, my paypal account and a credit card account for me. I really don't get all this talk about withdrawing dollars from Gox. I know my money has been in Gox for a long time and I have no intention of withdrawing it. I invested in Bitcoin with that money and that is where it will stay. I could move to Bitstamp but the green homepage is almost unbearable to look at and there is almost no action over there. I buy and sell on Gox because that's where the big price moves happen. I go back and forth between Dollars and BTC but why would I withdraw? I am guessing the whales are in the same situation. Its all about acquiring more Bitcoin and Gox is where the action is.
It takes a special kinda retard to invest like this. Whats the problem guys it is just and exchange that you cant use to exchange?.. nothing to see here folks move along. If people are stupid enough to use the strategy you deserve to lose your money. bitstamp 43.40% 8454.90 124.89 USD mtgox 37.02% 7211.98 138.22 USD Retard? People sure get brave when they're sitting behind a computer. The exchange worked great. I exchanged my dollars for Bitcoin. If I wanted dollars, I would have just kept them in the first place. I dont say things I wouldn't say to any ones face. You got it right it worked (past tense) great. You are living in the past that was then this is now. Those coins on gox aren't yours they are gox's coins until they hit your wallet "Re: Mt.Gox Account secured with Yubikey but still had 29 BTCs stolen" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294137.msg3155174#msg3155174

there should be a way to reverse these type of transactions when something unauthorized occurs. that's the weakness of BTC right now.
Yeah, that's the same reason why nobody in the world uses cash... huge weakness. @OP: sorry for your loss. Also, thank you for sharing the information here. It is important that we get to the bottom of this. It's mind boggling. Even if your PC was completely compromised, and you were logged into gox that night, the hacker still needed to long press the yubikey. This is assuming your settings did not leave any holes via API or google auth, etc. Cash payments are reversible it is called small claims court. Op i dont shit about the issue you are having but it is screwed up. Goes to show you cant trust institutions. It makes me sick that this happened to you.

Not sure how paypal fits into the bitcoin picture. Essentially if they endorse bitcoin and bitcoin comes successful, paypal goes the way of the dodo.
Bitcoin price to send... 0.63 and much higher once all the blocks are found PP price to send ... 0.00 Paypal isnt going anywhere anytime soon.
