1081  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question for Legendary Members on: July 10, 2022, 11:37:14 PM
I didn't expect it's now almost 5 years here in the forum where the place I discovered and learned a lot in the crypto and blockchain as well.

A genuine account of a Legendary rank must have enough knowledge in crypto (not likely sold account), I even admire those knowledgeable Legendary rank in Blockchain and Bitcoin when it comes technical discussion which I also trying to dig more.  I think those members who have been here since 2013 that actively contributed to the forum must gain a lot of knowledge.

Go to these boards, Development & Technical Discussion and Bitcoin Technical Support, you'll amaze every posts.
1082  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many people become binance futures full time traders as job on: July 10, 2022, 10:59:19 PM
If you get good signals then it can be job
No, not that simple.
If you're in trading and relying upon trading signal group either it's paid or free, you're nothing in trading, I'm sure you'll barely succeed if that's what you mean in trading.

I heard gambler above post which is very relevant, yes, trading it seems like gambling, you don't know everything that will happen in the future and it's very crucial to chase profit.  I won't even consider full-time trading as an alternative to a job.
Everything is unpredictable in a crypto sphere, though there's a way to increase your odds in trading however, it can't give assurance for stable making profit.
1083  Other / Meta / Re: Hey, is there a way to delete my account? on: July 09, 2022, 11:50:09 PM
If so, does the content that I posted on here stay on here under my name or does it show up as "deleted user" or something like that?
You can delete all in your post history if you want but your account will remain visible here in the forum.
But it doesn't mean your deleted post will totally disappear, it can be traceable using LoyceV's tool.

Quote
I dont really mind my account remaining on here but the issue being my IP address being stored/logged could cause me trouble in the future. So does deleting my account remove all the stuff I posted?
If this is your concern, so far I didn't see a staff of this forum revealing the user's IP address or privacy, I think it will happen if you will request them.

Quote
If not, does deleting this account disconnect this account from those things posted? Or is it still stored/logged? In which case the best I could do is simply remove everything I can from what I posted. I honestly would like to keep those things up... but... Idk if it would still be connected to this account, which was connected to my real IP at one point. Idk.
My advice might be this.
Delete all posts in your history, change your password to a difficult one and forget it.
Leaving in the forum isn't that simple, time come you'll be missed those discussions here.  Just preserve your account and come back anytime.
1084  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I Almost Gave Scammers Access To My wallet This Morning. on: July 09, 2022, 11:37:29 PM
A great lesson from being "HURRY" as this sometimes caught us neglecting to read carefully and even not being able to verify if that is legit or not as we are very curious and pushed with the time limit as it was running out.

Bounty hunters or airdrop hunters shouldn't do this, always verify and give yourself time to investigate of what you're planning to invest.
Hurrying sometimes will lead us to wipe out our wallets and give into the scammer's hand our assets, that's their trick and usually, their victims are those greedy people that will easily fool them.

However, OP was very lucky.
OP is vigilant and we hope newbies will do the same, this will give us a lesson to us, and always remember there's no free money over on the internet.
If you can, stop following those airdrop groups, they are prone to scams.
1085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach 18600$ level in this week ends? on: July 05, 2022, 11:33:01 PM
Last week BTC weekly candle closed by 18627$. But as we can see this week BTC is showing a bullish pattern. But still, this week does not end, So what are you guys thinking about this week's BTC moving? Will it break up or down last week candle?
Though it's unpredictable and we know it, but I'm still hoping that bull run will come this month.
There's a few good news that I've heard around the community and I think that will be triggered the Bitcoin price increase.

Technical analysis sometimes will lead you to nothing if you will not also look at the fundamental analysis, they should always be there when you predict the market.  But I don't want to scratch my head thinking about it so much, I prefer to wait until the bull trend will come.
1086  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to store your crypto coins safely on: July 05, 2022, 11:28:07 PM
Alternatively, to save time and money, you should use a highly secure exchange like [https://www.quidax.com/]. A hardware wallet's features determine the specific level of security it offers.
Hopefully, you will be able to make a good decision.
I'm, not sure about this.
It seems you're referring to the centralized exchange which is not safe at all to store your crypto.

Another is, that there's no safe at all even if you are using a hardware wallet, it depends on us how to secure it like saving a private key in a safe place.  But I tend to agree with that statement that storing Bitcoiin is very crucial.

Air-gapped devices are great but that is if you do everything correctly.
Perfect example and I'd do the same.
1087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can the price Hit back $50k this month? on: July 04, 2022, 11:58:51 PM
According to your research?  From Where?
Still, the price is unpredictable, IMO.

Being optimistic is good but it should be near in the reality.  I don't think Bitcoin will reach back to the $50k range by next month, there was still a struggle on the price to resist and recover by this month.  It could be affected by the possible world crisis recession that most countries had faced.

It might that will happen in the last quarter of this year, expecting that there's a bull market come.
1088  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be safe from Hackers on: July 04, 2022, 11:41:00 PM
No wonder people will believe what scammers tweeted because the real owner of the account was a Bitcoin enthusiast and in Tesla promoter as well.  Her name is Cathie Wood which is considered a high-profile name in British Army.

Have you noticed that the scammer's target is those high-profile names on social media, this isn't new, last year there were a few scams on tweeter compromised high-profile accounts on Twitter?  We should be taking care of our account's safe, double security is a must because nowadays, scammers are getting smarter than us.
1089  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DCA? on: July 02, 2022, 11:59:57 PM
Buying or purchasing Bitcoin little by a little while has a correction is a wise decision and that's what we called, DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging).
And yes, that's a good action while Bitcoin continues dropping.  But of course, you need to watch the market closely because anytime there could be a huge fluctuation of the price and since it's unpredictable, there's no accurate prediction of where the price direction.

Quote
Do you ever consider putting a stop to DCA?
In long term, you didn't need this because all you've to do is to wait when your profit will come.

1092  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 02, 2022, 11:48:56 PM
Because of this, I voted NO.

source:

There could be a correction right now but I don't think it will fall down in that range.
Another factor is that I don't see any negative news that can affect the Bitcoin price, instead, it's possible other countries will do the same as El Salvador did which is the reason we're possible back to the bullish trend.
1093  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Trading job on: July 02, 2022, 11:22:47 PM
I think this discussion would be appropriate on the "Project Development" board since you're looking for a business partner for your project.

oh great! another trader with prophetic visions who can "find every dip and each top" for you... Let's be honest here, if you really can, you wouldn't be here posting this.
I tend to agree with this and that's a good suggestion.
First, OP should prove his legitimacy but the problem is OP isn't trusted yet.  TBH, there are a lot of discussions here the same as OP, asking and looking for a business partner but the problem is how you'll trust them.  I think that's a big problem that you might consider first in the first place.
1094  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Beware]New scammer scheme using exchange on: July 02, 2022, 10:59:46 PM
They'd level up now. Cheesy

I freshly remember the same scenario in your case but the difference is when it comes to withdrawal.  In the same procedure, someone asked me to create an account because he can't access the exchange site due to the country's restrictions, and then, without hesitation, he transfer all his funds to my account, and now when he said just withdraw it and transfer to his Bitcoin wallet, the exchange platform asked me to deposit half of the amount that I wanted to withdraw which is very suspicious.

That was on Telegram, we should better avoid dealing with strangers on Telegram.
BTW, thank you for the awareness and we hope this could be a lesson for those people who are greedy, they thought they will get easy money but it's the opposite, it will drain their entire wallets once they will be scammed.
1095  Economy / Speculation / Re: Q2 Bitcoin Close -56% on: July 01, 2022, 11:59:48 PM
Sorry but I didn't follow your Q2 Bitcoin prediction, can link it down here?

For Q3, I didn't see any sign of a green market, it could be the price will drop more because of the global recession, and not only crypto was experiencing this but also the stock market.  But I'm hoping that I have a wrong interpretation of the market condition, the market is still unpredictable and it could be every now and then the market will flip up and it could be the bull market will begin.

All I can say, there's a struggle that the market has nowadays and it will not recover during this year, it could be next year I guess.
1096  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You can avoid most scams by simply keeping your private key/seed to yourself on: July 01, 2022, 11:55:08 PM
You can avoid most of such scam attempts by simply keeping your wallet's private key and seed phrase to yourself.
No, this isn't enough that has a guarantee that you'll not scam.
If you remember back then 2018, the Electrum wallet server has been a leak and it was infected by identical phishing which when you open your Electrum app it will pop up the update link which content phishing link that directly uses a scammer wallet address and that incident stole estimated 200 Bitcoin.

You need more careful in handling your private key and properly using them, hardware wallets could be safer than other wallets.
It's very crucial if you will save them online, so it must always be offline and be vigilant always.
1097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador Purchase More Bitcoin At $19,000 Each on: July 01, 2022, 11:42:49 PM
"Thank you for selling cheap"!
This is how the whale speaks and they'll laugh when someone selling at a cheap price.

It's good to hear that they continued to support Bitcoin even though the price was dropped too much, I'm thinking before might they be disappointed with the current market correction but look at now, it seems they encourage everyone to invest while it's cheap.
If they don't, why it was posted on Twitter?
1098  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: waiting to buy lower? on: June 28, 2022, 11:58:14 PM
People are waiting to buy lower, but what if you're wrong and this is the bottom?

You never know what's going to happen next.
That's exactly the fact in the crypto world, everything is unpredictable and no one really knows what's will gonna happen.
We really don't know the bottom price in the market, but I'm sure we're in a massive correction, and anytime Bitcoin price will plunge and give everyone a good profit those patiently waiting.

That is why I personally prefer to do DCA or buy Bitcoin by average at certain rate drops.
I tend to agree with this and this is what I usually advise people when someone wanted to invest in Bitcoin but didn't know where's the bottom price.
Purchase Bitcoin in a DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging) way, this is a very safe way of purchasing Bitcoin while waiting to resist.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is buying Panda Elon a good move during this bear market? on: June 28, 2022, 11:41:09 PM
I don't know if investors didn't learn from those previous meme coins that give nothing return to them.
Now, here it comes another nonsense token again, what did you expect from this coin?
But if you really wanted to try just give it a shot that only you can afford but don't expect too much because it might you have a profit or it will lose your capital.  Investing in meme coins seems to gamble for me, you gamble on it because the trend is based on the hype not on utility.

So the decision is still yours.
1100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fear of losing my coins grabbed me by neck on: June 28, 2022, 11:23:06 PM
Though I know that possible hacking and malware infection in mobile wallet apps but fortunately, I've never experienced it in how many years using an android mobile phone.  But you shouldn't create your wallet on your mobile phone in the first place, upon creation finds a device that is rarely used on the internet, a laptop would be better to create a wallet through Electrum.

But if that's a big amount that you've wanted to store in a long run, it would be better if you have to spend a little amount to buy a hardware wallet which is pretty safe.  Don't risk your investment and might you'll regret it in the future.
