10 mins to go and no password posted for the wallet.  Could just be a joke.

Why post password beforу launch? It must be AT launch.

takes time to get set up.

there will be no profit in mining this coin.  The electricity to have a computer CPU mining costs more than the coins could be worth.

not mentionning that it is a bad timing regarding the fact X17 also use sha512...
tried to add something else, I don't know: tiger ( Grin never heard off, but it is in sphlib 3.0) but obviously it doesn't matter if it just to mine from the wallet.
(don't see the point either...)

must say that this dev, isn't very active  Grin

He has school today.   Grin
Roll Eyes

it's past 18 UTC I believe... xD

A month from now

1) the sell price of this coin will be less than 100 satoshis.

2) This forum thread will be dead, and the devs will be long gone.

3) This coin will not get listed om MintPal or Cryptsy

1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source | IPO Started on: July 11, 2014, 02:43:51 PM
The DEV is too greedy.
25% were kept by themselves, it's sick.
If they want to get their own share, why don't invest some btc to the ipo.
We all know NXT and qora's dev don't keep any coins freely.

Why don't they invest BTC? Because they don't have to - idiots will pump money into this either way and goofballs will be trading it on the exchange. By taking 25% for themselves right off the top (which makes zero sense - they already make a killing as-is) they just milk even more cash out of this thing when they dump. Whether they kept 25% or 0% wouldn't matter - anybody that will invest in this thing isn't smart enough to care. They might as well keep 50%.

Also, you know the NXT people/etc bought their own shares but what is the difference? At least Crypti is being honest about cheating the system instead of doing it under the table.

Megaman I missed your shit....where is your friend Litoshi? done trolling? seems like you're second guessing....

regarding the 25%~ premine, we discussed it over and over again...this is the model the Dev's chose after sharing their thoughts with us, if that sounds too risky for you its totally understandable, just lay back and consider joining in after the pre-sale.

Cap wise...there is no need to exceed 750 BTC! we went over and approved the budget when 500 btc were estimated, so 750 should be enough and more, you guys have yet to disappoint me and I'm sure you wont start now...Smiley

To be honest, at 1000 Btc and more I'll seriously consider to withdraw my investment and wait to a lower entrance point as it just not worth the risk...

I am still here.....  lurking.

This coin scheme is like watching an egg fall.  Cant wait for the splat!!

is it sha512 or momentum (mmc isn't sha512 a small fraction is hashed through sha512... paraphrasing mmc OP).

Is dev knows what is the algo used by his coin, or did he just cloned MMC ? (that is the question...)

edit: what is so special with the 11th of july that everybody releases a cpu only coin ?  Huh
(can you push that to an other date ?)

what other coins are being released CPU only.  CRYPTI is not a mineable coin, they are selling it only.

Well, anycoin that can be mined on a CPU can be GPU mined.

djm34, you wrote a killer kernel for JPC.  You can do it for this coin as well.  I suggest you sell it instead of give it away next time.  I gave you some 4000JPC as payment for that jpc kernel, but I doubt if you got much more from others.

Anyone know if a pool sets the Vardiff for JPC can you override that with a setting in your miner? Seems like I always get stuck with a high diff....

you can set a max diff

what miner you using?

i have 64 290 & 290x and mining with 321M.

thats about 13000 watts' 10,000KWH a month.  Likely a power bill of $2000 USD or 1400 euros a month.

EDIT....... he says he is in Russia at 650$ a month.  Lucky to get cheap power, around 8cents a KWH
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [FRSH] FreshCoin | FRESH algo! | Slingshield | % fees | *wallet update* on: July 09, 2014, 05:04:15 PM
no pos, only real hard work to mine coins after "POW"
so dump your coins cheap now, u cant get them back
What does this mean?!

block 0: premine block: 50000 FRSH (0,2% for further development, 0,3% for bounties)
block 1-30: zero FRSH (to ensure a fair launch and setup time for pools)
block 31-1440: 1000 FRSH (1 day) (boost the first day of POW)
block 1441 - 4320: 500 FRSH (2 days)
block 4321 - 8640: 250 FRSH (3 days)
block 8641 - 10080: 1000 FRSH (1 day) (boost the last day of POW)
block 10081 - 442080: 10 FRSH + FEES (300 days) > expected total reward 50 to 500 FRSH
from block 442080: zero FRSH + FEES > expected total reward 50 to 500 FRSH

It means the megahashers are going to move on to another coin when the block reward drops to 10.

BTER is based in China.   Bitcoin is illegal in China.  You risk having your BTC locked out by the China Firewall or confiscated by the Chinese National Police.

Nor do you have a recourse if your coins are stolen.

BTER has had many coins stolen.  they want you to use GOOGLE two factor authentication, which you will have to installon yor smartphone.

And still the top exchange is China based...

Any evidence to Bter "stealing" any coins, before you throw these accusations?

Also, two factor authentication is actually a very good security measure, and practically a standard today.

I did not say they were "Stealing coins"  I said many coins have been stolen by hacks.  Check the other blogs, like FRESH coin

As for the two factor auth... they only use the GOOGLE authenticator.  So you have to give GOOGLE all your personal information, and let them monitor you when you use the service.  GOOGLE=NSA.

there is so much hashpower coming from "other than the pools on OP" that forks are very likely.  It looks like the OP pools have only about 20-25%of the hash........ so forks are gonna be frequent

Network is 35 gigs.... pools together hardly make 8 gigs.  The megahashers rule

What do solo miners have to do to avoid/fix forks?  Or is this a pool only issue?
put in your addnode, the address of a pool on the right fork (to be honest, I don't think there are forks at the moment, if a pool with a small hashrate doesn't find block, it is just luck... actually if they were on their on own, they would found a lots of block...
Funny nobody has accused yet asic/fpga to be responsible  Grin

You missed it.  Someone did a few pages back I think.

Does the verifychain command in the debug window tell me if I'm on the correct chain?  I was lucky the first night and found 2 blocks.  Nothing since then.

Thanks!
I don't know. If I really have doubt, I try to compare the last block number given by my wallet to the one of a pool

The dealwith Pool.mn is that his dashboard shows his pool hashrate the same as the network hash rate.  So, he is mining a fork alone most likely.

Now, I see it has been corrected...pool 144MH, net 37000MH

Guaranteed loser but you have to love all of the newbie accounts cheering it on. Dev will make a killing off this bullshit.

We could cut and paste some of the posts at the end of other blogs where the posters are all complaining about being ripped off, losing money, and wasting their time on "SCAMCOIN"...... but no one here will heed us.  So, just sit back, and enjoy the show.

Did you check the blog on the version 2 of Eurocoin i posted here?

i think this ipo is worthwhile

There are only a few rules for investments, but they are valid:

1) never invest more than you can afford to lose

2) diversify.... dont put all your money in one investment

3) when possible, use someone else's money and take a percentage of the profit and zero of the loss

4) buy low, sell high

almost 2 hours.. not a block found in **pool.mn** is this ok or this pool has a problem?
anyone?

I bet they are on a fork.  The pool hash rate and the net hashrate are identical and 15 times higher than the other pools

you better switch to another pool for the time being

shit. How long does it normally take for pool.mn to fix a situation like this? I'd hate to have to switch pools for a while.

dev is likely asleep.  (mongolia)

the fix is simple.... reboot or reconnect to the p2pool, and check if you are on the right blockchain
