hes been avoiding reality for a long time, took a lot of people here with him.
I would imagine he is too busy hiding everything he owns of value right now.
What happens when he refuses to pay restitution?

I watch many films free on viooz.ac . I'm not sure about the legality, I believe the site itself is merely hosting links therefore not breaking the law. I really don't know but they have thousands of films, from silent era to films still in the theater.
There are loads of pop ups but I use Adblock plus so it doesn't matter.
I would check it out, but be careful, run a good malware protection
1084  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: January 21, 2015, 09:05:50 PM
Good! Kenny has basically admitted guilt and shown the board that he is wholly irresponsible to his shareholders. Please sizes his assets!

From what the docs say, they caught Ulbritch "red handed" hands on the keys, talking to SA while working the site. Just 3rd party evidence mind you, but, the article linked above mainly draws out how in "digital" crimes the cops need to attach physical perps/actions/evidence.
By the looks of it, they did this.

All wishes for Libertarian Utopia aside, Ulbritch looks guilty, and trying any lie he can. Just sayin'

Many here wont like this article, but it gives pretty good insight into the investigation.
1087  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: January 20, 2015, 11:40:32 PM
Jeez guys, I'm being facetious!

seeing as no news, vague promises of future action constantly getting pushed even further into the future, no financials, no word from AM... there is little else left here to say or do... aw ferget it. Maybe in January 2016 something might happen

there is so little that is legit about any unregulated security that i no longer expect ethics. humor, on the other hand, i would think you are all able to grasp humor, you invested in this thing, didn't you?

or are you all on edge because its been too little for too long and things are starting to look grim every day AM sits spinning its wheels in the mud.
Profits go into R&D towards a new chip that even if on spec, is not sold due to ineptitude in marketing. So, create another company, sell them the chips to cloud mine, this is great for AM? why? none of us saw a dime from that and we have zero reason to believe they wont pull the whole thing over again. and again. and again, until a REAL manufacturer moves in and blows AM to smithereens. When this happens do you honestly believe bitfountain will let any of us know UNTIL AFTER they have cashed out their position?

ethics, yeah right
1088  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: January 20, 2015, 08:37:26 PM
I just hope FC and co. can get us some healthy and regular divs while the btc/usd valuation is low like now so that the BTC value of shares has room to skyrocket. What I really want from this thing is more BTC. If they time it right, I will get that!

What about next gen? Smiley

that's what I'm hoping for. Next Gen succeeds, we see divs, stock value in BTC rises. not just reinvestment this time around. Wink

You didn't understand. What about money needed for gen5 if AM starts issuing healthy and regular divs?
I'm hoping they do a split.
Really I'm mainly voicing my frustration with the dwindling share price. When BTC is low, it is easier to raise the price of shares in BTC. The valuation of AM in dollars is one thing, but the havelock market is another. It runs on the sentiment of a bunch of retards like me who see divs and leap in. I really hope AM can hand out some divs this time around, jack up the price and then I can get my btc back. Another round of no divs R&D crap mining environment etc ect ect... it is starting to look like every other ponzi and scam in here where its all promises and "at some unknown future date" and I'm tired of it.

TL;DR - I want AM to manipulate the market to my benefit.
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you considered hard drugs? on: January 20, 2015, 07:26:30 AM
The problem with drugs is that it is a very expensive hobby. If someone is losing his shirt on the market he is more likely reduced to drinking.
1090  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-12-09] PayPal Bitcoin Billboard in Austin, TX on: January 20, 2015, 05:45:34 AM
Is "braintree" the new company under paypal for handling bitcoin? The bill board is not making that very clear.
Braintree is paypal's digital goods processor.

I set up my ledger wallet, took not long, the longest part was writing down the 24 word recovery phrase. it works great. I have the deposit address saved on my multibit hot wallet, I can send money striaght to my ledger without even plugging in! I like this wallet!

I wonder what metric they use to decide what the settlement should be?

Based on other stuff, refund of fiat value at time of IPO would be considered by a court to be full recompense.

This could lead to a situation where they consider that if BTC was $80 at IPO and $300 at time of settlement, that they think that if 0.25 has been paid out, and they assume that you have that in hand, that Ken only owes you $5 per BTC invested.

The problem is, the activemining shares exist on crypto trade platform. It only uses btc. Shouldn't he be force to do a buy back in btc? I don't recall any private issued shares? No doubt Kenny was hoping all this would happen while the shares were all in limbo.

1097  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you had to make a movie about Karpeles, what title would you give it? on: January 17, 2015, 08:45:15 PM
"Scum"

Hehe there's already a movie called scum though. Great 70s borstal flick, it's actually Ray Winstone's first film. It's awesome.

As for Karpeles... Frapp Me If You Can Huh

Does anyone know what is going on with the Prisma sig campaign? As far as I can tell they aren't selling Prismas anymore, no news from sunxiaxo (sp?) no news of an update (could put new different ad in sig?) no payment for December 2014 and no nothing!!! If the thing is over, I would appreciate hearing that so I could move on. If they are waiting for a new AM product to advertise, I would like to know that as well.

The campaign ended last month.  You must have missed a post.   Also, you must have missed the posts replying to you to that effect in the other thread.  Many people switched to the AMHASH campaign when the PRISMA campaign ended. Wink

yes i have been pretty busy IRL. thanks

I just came off a 5 day ban. It sucks, but I was in the wrong so I had no recourse but to take it like a man. You really start to see how little resources and BTC knowledge is out there if you don't have bitcointalk for asking questions and having discussions.

I didn't spam, but I don't think anyone tolerates it, you'll just get reported and shut out into the cold.

Really though, you are a member of a pretty great community, funny, smart, helpful, crazy, you get a little bit of everything here. Treat your membership as a privelege and respect what you got. It will enrich your experience and evyone else's too
1100  Other / Meta / Re: Anyone else finds it ironic that THE forum on BTC doesn't integrate tipping? on: January 17, 2015, 04:20:14 AM
If you are here, I would assume you are into bitcoin and learning how to use it. put your receiving address in your sig, at least have one on your profile page. Anyone with btc can send you some love directly from their wallet. Things like changetip are for n00bs and people who have no knowledge of how bitcoin works and is really meant for platforms where you don't know who will come across your content. Its made to facilitate and introduce btc. Is redundant here.

So you're saying tipping should just be exploited to introduce new users but is not actually useful as a service? If so i'll have to disagree. As having alternatives in place yes i agree, i can look it up in profile, i can also ask you for your address in PM, and instead of this forum we can write letters to each other... Would i ever do it probably not, would i click a button for insightful analysis and a good post, probably.

All arguments so far seem to fall into:
1-You already have a way to do it so why simplify make it user friendly.
2-Cons outweigh the pros (spam beggers etc...)

Which both i disagree with. Would love to see BTC as a standard tipping feature on all forums (sort of like saying Thanks for a post on some platforms). Sure some platforms might benefit more than others (thinking of stackexchange etc...) but still
No no no, I did not mean to say tipping is for n00bz or as a gateway to introduce btc. I meant Tipbots and Changetip are for nOobz to get in on the game. They are great things for that, absolutely.
What I am saying is; we here know our BTC a little better than say your granny or who ever. I would hazard a guess that 99% of users here are capable of operating a wallet, sending receiving Btc, and posting an address. A bot is unnecessary.

EDIT- tipbot would be convenient though, however, I like that all I need is an address to send btc. Back to basics and good for new guys to come to terms with. For a while I had an address on a blog I run, with a "tip me" label. Not that anyone tipped the blog, I was still happy with the simplicity. It is not a btc related blog so a Changetip button sits there now. Users still have to get BTC and a CT account.
