11421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: December 30, 2015, 03:22:45 PM

Borderless.tech is a coalition of globally accessible governance services forged out of smart contracts that live on the Expanse blockchain.

Not bad. Now this is something interesting. Never thought this could be accomplished with smart contracts. Looking forward for more interesting stuff like this on the Expanse platform. By the way, about the premine, isn't there an address where we could verify it? Just asking because I am curious to know.  Roll Eyes

Yes.

0xbb94f0ceb32257275b2a7a9c094c13e469b4563e
0x15656715068ab0dbdf0ab00748a8a19e40f28192

One could easily make a script in exp that watches these addresses then notifies the world if they are messed with.

Hey I have checked these addresses with the official block explorer from Expanse.tech but it says the following message:

Code:
No Matching Record could be found. Please be sure you entered a valid Block or Transaction Hash, Block Number, or Account.
While in development, some features may not be fully functional.

Am I doing something wrong? I just checked that the addresses were written correctly.  Huh
11422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: December 30, 2015, 03:15:16 PM
Hi all, I've approached two exchanges about this and no one wants to take it forward, "so far".
Please have a read and please approach or advise which exchange may be worth contacting.
I've so far tried Bleutrade & Banx.io

MUE savings and loans hosted on "an exchange"

Currently MonetaryUnit offers a savings account called MUEbank - http://bank.muecentral.com/
This offers 10%APR interest rate on deposited MUE and has a 28 day withdrawal notification period.
The benefit is that MUE holders can get the benefits of a POS interest return on a POW coin and it allows them to reduce the affect of inflation on their holdings.
A table of the reducing inflation rate is available here http://www.monetaryunit.org/muestuff/slowing-inflation-rate-of-monetaryunit/
MUEBank is a completely manual process, which while manageable at the moment, is still a pain.
The benefit to MUE is it offers a service to its community, and also helps reduce the liquidity in the market place.
The disadvantage of the savings account is that the interest has to be paid from our own holdings.

To mitigate this, we want to offer some of the traditional banking services that people know and love, and the second part is the loans facility, whereby MUE holders can deposit their MUE into their MUE loans account, and be offered a BTC loan using their MUE as collateral.  My gut feeling is that the BTC loan would be 50% of the current market value of their MUE when it is deposited.
I think perhaps we have 3 terms. 1 month @ 5%, 2 months @ 10% , 3 months @ 15%.
Once up and running this will allow the savings offering to be self sustaining, and also generate profit.

This is hopefully where it can get interesting for "an exchange" & MUE.

Lets say for arguments sake, that the revenue generated by the BTC loans is split 50/50 exchange/MUE.
So the exchange can do whatever it wants with its portion of the revenue = win for exchange.

The other portion of the revenue for MUE is AUTOMATICALLY put into buy support for MUE which tops up the MUE account on the exchange that pays the interest to the savings offering, again, this is a win for the exchange as it keeps the coins re-circulating there and increases volume of trade in that exchange.
It will also give the exchange a fantastic USP to market against as I am not aware anyone else is offering what I'm suggesting.

Ideally the exchange would only offer these services just for MUE, however I also understand that being able to use MUE as a test bed could be invaluable to offer the same services for other coins.
The benefit to MUE obviously is being able to offer sensible, fair automated financial instruments people can understand and are familiar with, which gives us exposure as a crypto project, but also of course, means that the re-invested BTC generated from the BTC loans will increase the MUE price.
It also means we don't have to be worried about having to set up an legal entity in a crypto friendly jurisdiction, as it will be managed by the exchange.

So there are a few things we would have to do.
1) Provide the exchange with MUE to fund the wallet that pays the interest in MUE savings.
2) Provide the exchange with BTC with which to fund the wallet that will pay out the BTC for the MUE loans.
3) There would have to be a facility that will "drip sell" MUE on any defaulted loans
4) Users will have to have as part of their exchange login, a simple to understand "banking" facility.
5) Show the liquidity funds of both MUE and BTC wallets being used to fund the services.

Initially I think we would have to be cautious and on launch limit both the number of users who are able to open accounts, but also limit the amounts that can be deposited into the savings account or BTC borrowed against their MUE collateral.
Also, as we move forward with it, it would be great to be able to activate promotional rates and offers etc.

Also instead of only offering people BTC loans against their MUE collateral you could offer them ANY coin as a loan which would work by using the BTC in the loans wallet to buy the coin they want to borrow, once again increasing volume on the exchange.

Now this is certainly good stuff for the MUE project. I was thinking about the MUE loans a few days ago and also thought if Poloniex would be a good exchange for MUE as they offer you the ability to lend your coins and maybe this could be achieved with MUE. What you have stated here is an excellent idea.  Cheesy

Now I am working on making the MUELotto site which will consist of the ability and buy MUE lottery tickets with BTC or MUE and the winner shall be announced every 30th day of every month. Prizes would consist of huge MUE or BTC bounty (winner's choice)  Smiley

Burst price is more than below electricity bill not to mention ROI.
How and why is this possible?
I cannot make 0,18 BTC on this price per month in BURST, while need 150$ for electricity.

Yes burst has become incredibly undervalued.  People should be turning off some (not all) miners and using the money saved in electricity costs to buy burst on exchanges instead, which will help the price.

Sounds like a great idea....that way you can mine more burst due to the lower net diff, and get more per burst you sell! Stopping mining is a terrible idea. The whole goal of mining is to secure the network, so do it! Use burst's asset exchange, create assets, link them to real world things. Buy and trade assets. That's how you can help burst. Oh, and spread the word and buy burst, also not bad ideas.

We need to buy more Burst and increase trading activity to help its price go up all the way to the moon. If we manage to advertise and promote Burst's excellent features, more people would become interested in it, and thus there will be more demand. So for now instead of mining for profit, just buy Burst until price goes up and then go back to mine them. Just my opinion.  Grin
11424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LiteDoge - Community coin | No premine | Very fast | New thread on: December 30, 2015, 12:28:35 PM
We have a newer wallet with some nice improvements coming pretty soon, and may be discussing a change in the rewards soon.

Great news. Looking forward the new wallet real soon. I'm glad to see LiteDoge to finally get some development. Would be great if there could be Android or iOS mobile wallets someday in the future. Will follow this new thread for updates.  Smiley
11425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: December 30, 2015, 12:23:38 PM
Is there real world usage of this coin apart from mining and trading in exchanges? Is it accepted in shops?

I will once be accepted in shops worldwide once Expanse grows solid in development with new decentralized apps on the Expanse platform. We need big investors and companies to get into Expanse. Just take a look at Ethereum and you will see that Microsoft has been using it for its Azure platform. If something similar would happen to EXP, I think there would be more demand for it.  Roll Eyes

I keep staking away!  107 XMG generated from staking so far  Cool

Hey that great mate! Are you staking XMG normally or via the cloud? I wonder how staking would be in the cloud? Is it profitable or would it take long to reach ROI? I could start staking in the cloud, but I'm afraid that if I do I might get scammed (like it happened with me in cloud mining with cloudminr, cointellect and Gaw Miners)  Smiley

I have made a research and so far it is not profitable due to the fact that you will spend more on HDD hardware, and electricity. Also, the fact that BURST is extremely cheap right now makes it hard to reach ROI mining it with HDD. To test my theory, you can go to http://burstcoin.biz and see for yourself.

But if the price of BURST would go up, then I think you would ROI faster when mining with your HDD.  Roll Eyes
11428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: December 29, 2015, 08:35:09 PM
The only difference that Bitcoin has in relation to fiat currency is that fiat is backed up by goverments

Well, ask this to deposit members of portugal bank and italian bank that have crashed un december 2015.
Deposits are not available at this time ... even it's below 100 000 euros.

protection of FIAT ?
Safety of FIAT ?

No ... they have no money in vault at the end.

it's true, when some government crash you have a nice zero in your portfolio, when bitcoin crash it's most likely a dump that will recover

so having a centralized system with a so called "backed up from the government" is a double egde for the value of your funds

What about investing in Gold bullion? Will that serve as a reliable protection for the value of my money? Just asking hypothetically in case this scenario happens when the governments crash.  Smiley
11429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 29, 2015, 08:24:50 PM

This is a great initiative from this London startup. It will definitely bring more interest to people out there who don't know what Bitcoin is, and how it works. This will make a positive trend towards mainstream adoption. And the best part is that is powered by the Ethereum platform. A clever way to spread awareness of crypto currencies.  Grin
11430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: December 29, 2015, 08:20:30 PM
I have tried almost everything: Trying to gamble, trying to daytrade, trying to buy alts long term and hope for the best... nothing as worked compared to just having a job and buying some BTC monthly. Thanks to this, im making a modest but nice portfolio. Everything else is too much luck involved.

Yes that is definitely the fastest and easiest way to grow your Bitcoins. Getting a job and separating 10 to 20% of your earnings to invest it on Bitcoin is a clever idea. Besides, after doing this you will earn much when the next halving comes and the price goes up. This would be the best interest rate when compared to banks. You would grow your Bitcoins and your profits if you do this. Also, if you take advantage of Bitcoin's price volatility, you can certainly make them grow. Just sharing my opinion.  Cheesy

Hey these coins look awesome. However when I checked the site (thebitcoinpenny.com) it says they are out of stock. Any idea when they will become available? I want one really badly. Please let me know.  Smiley

i'm guessing the .dat file is the wallet file i need to back up like i would BTC or DASH etc?
thanks in advance

Well, in Ethereum to make a backup of your wallet, all you would do is go to your appdata directory (if you are on Windows) and save the Keystore directory. After you have copied the Keystore directory to some place safe like an external HDD or a pendrive, you will have your wallet fully backed up as the Keystore directory contains the public and private keys. Hope this helps. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong.  Wink

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Let us make a toast to one of the best tricks of 2015. It was an honour to ride the roller coaster with all of you.
Happy new year.

Toast to the best scam in the crypto scene...lol Pleasure is all mine mate. Now time to sell those scam coins and save our investments before it is too late and regret ourselves by falling into this scheme. I somehow knew this was too good to be true. It is a good thing I didn't invest anymore of otherwise I would have lost all my savings. Now there is only 2 days remaining for the year to end and yet the dev hasn't given a clear response about what will happen with the dividends. First Gaw Miners, then Cloudminr and now Ambercoin? These things is what makes me never invest into cloud mining or investments like these.  Angry

New roadmap who knows what will bring Smiley

They should at least burn 10 Million of that premine otherwise this coin will fail.

Why would it fail? I think it is a fair premine. This project has been one of the best Ethereum clones out there with a very great potential. And best part of it is that it is much cheaper when compared to Ether.  Smiley

Anyone here had successfully withdrawn Casinocoin from alcurEx exchange? I have bought some 2 days ago and said that withdrawal was completed successfully (after email confirmation) However, it is still today and I have not received the coins into my wallet. Any ideas on this? I have sent a support ticket yesterday, but got no response and now I have sent an email with the hopes of getting a reply soon.

I'm worried that I might lose the invested BTC.  Sad

Hello Abiky.
This holiday makes indeed some delay for the support.
Your withdraw was interrupt abnormally but now manually released.

Sorry about delay and happy new year.

Hey thanks for your quick support. I was starting to get worried that I might lose my CasinoCoin but now that everything else is solved, I am totally relieved. Awesome! You made my day. Once again thank you for excellent service.  Cheesy

Site is looking good, very excited to see this project become a success.

MUEBank is alive and well and managed by Hoosen, he's probably been away having fun, but I'm sure he'll get back to you, unless there have been any technical issues with e-mail etc.
I'll drop him a message.

That is good news because I'm going to start making my first deposit on the MUEBank. Still there are a few things things to be done on the cloud mining site, but I think I will have it ready because the end of the year. Next thing that I will be working on would be the MUELotto which will occur on January next year.  Cheesy

I think we need more people into the MUE community as there is not much activity here on the thread, whereas other alts have frequent discussions. Maybe more advertising and marketing is needing perhaps?  Smiley

I've withdrawn before and it didn't take that long. That's strange. Write halibit on BTCT. Ask him to look at it.

Thanks for your advice. I have sent an PM to Halibit here on BCT and will be patient for further response. I guess it is because of the holiday season there was a delay, but I think this will be all sorted out soon. Happy holidays!  Smiley
11439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: December 29, 2015, 12:26:50 AM

Right now the website the information was on is down, being moved to a new host, and redesigned for the new year. But... There's a post here in this monster thread by yours truly explaining how it all works. But ByteEnt is very simple.

1. It is full amount mined by this account https://block.burstcoin.info/acc.php?acc=BURST-38PQ-L823-MW5K-8Q4Y7 - which as you can see on the pool page, http://burst.ninja - the total mined is 1.6 million and counting.

2. it is the full payout from the burst.ninja fee wallet... https://block.burstcoin.info/acc.php?acc=BURST-L5N4-52G6-T78P-BBZ3P - that will always have a payout from this because it is a fee that miners pay to mine on the pool.

3. There is some ad revenue generated from the blockexplorer (block.burstcoin.info) which is also owned by ByteEnterprises, that is put into the payout as well.

4. ByteEnt is one of the only assets that has been paying solidly for almost the entire time BURST has been in existence.

5. There will be other forms of income directed at ByteEnt, as well as another asset released by me in the coming weeks. The holidays took a serious toll on my monetary situation, but things should be back on track, and moving forward nicely in the coming weeks. I've still yet to think on exactly how I will structure the payouts from the release of my next asset, likely in my namesake, that will be both a share of stock in my company, and will provide payouts based on a percent of my company's income (I'm thinking it will be easiest for me to calculate it based before expenses, which ends up better for everyone anyway. hah.)

So yea, ask anyone invested into ByteEnt, if it has ever missed a payment, then ask people if they know who I am and what I stand for. Then you'll know that investing in me or my team and our projects, will never let you down.

Here's to a fantastic 2016 for BURST!

PS - looking into active developers for BURST team, there WILL be some core changes in 2016.

Wow I am impressed by all the features this asset has. I have been analyzing the given BURST addresses (burst ninja and burstcity1) and they promising. I have invested some BURST into it. I'm pretty sure I will be completely satisfied with my investment.  Grin

Is anyone else receiving dividend payments on the Asset Debenture?

Hey now that you mention the word "asset", where I can find some assets to invest into? How does it really work? Can somebody please provide me some tips about this? Sorry for asking, but I am relatively new in the Burst world.  Grin

There are a list of assets listed on block.burstcoin.info.  There are a few to pick from.  Please becarful on which ones you pick as some arent active, some may be scams.  However there are a few that are going good.  Playground, Playgrouund, PGround3 are all mine.  And are going well you can find all the info you need on The playground. Loads of features that will get you returns.  You can read the [ANN] here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1294886.0.
You can see this phase here on the advsnced block explorer as well. https://block.burstcoin.info/as.php?as=1046442228061264624

However there are othrr good assets, byteent, income are to name a couple.

If you have questions please feel free to ask.

Hey thanks for the information! I have been browsing through the list of available assets to invest Burst into, and found ones that I seem to be pretty interesting. I think I'm investing into Playground asset and Income asset.  Smiley

ByteEnt is my asset (and irontiga), based on over 30TB of mining power run by me, AND the income generated from the pool fee on the largest BURST pool http://burst.ninja

Just saying. heh.

I am in planning stages on release of another asset based on my personal computer business, which I believe will end up being popular too. It will also put direct BTC into BURST, to assist the price.

ByteEnt should grow soon too, I'm thinking of various ways to put more into the monthly payouts.

Great! Seems like a very interesting asset to invest into. I have some spare BURST on my wallet and I might give this a try. By the way, do you know where to find the asset announcement page (if there is any) to find out more information about dividends payouts and other stuff?  Smiley
