Can anyone explain the Blocks 1-11?

https://bchain.info/XMG/block/1 (112500 XMG)
...
https://bchain.info/XMG/block/11 (112500 XMG)

What is meant with swap?

Some notes here:

I believe everyone who liked magi should be aware of its history. Here it is if you didn't come across yet.

11 blocks premined, totally: 1,237,505 XMG
We burned: 720,000 XMG (https://bchain.info/XMG/addr/93m4hAxmCcGXMfnjVPfNhWSjb69sDziGSY, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9475622#msg9475622)
Coins used to push PoM campaign: 112,505 XMG (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=802681.0)

So remaining coins are: 404,995 (1.65%); how they are spent:

Coin swap: 233,319 XMG (0.93%)
Leftover: 171,676 XMG (0.69%)

1) Coin swap: 233,319 XMG (0.93%)

Magi is not a project starting from scratch; I've been working with an old coin project (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=548368.0); that's where I started with my crypto journey (before that I was pretty a regular trader). The old coin is nothing special when I looked back from now, but it was where I started, step by step and here is where we are. I kept up with that project with all my efforts like what I did now until realizing something critical missing, and I've been working with a new algo from then. Everyone followed this thread knew what magi it is right now is not like what we were at the beginning. So that's how things are evolved in nature; that's pretty lucky to me and to magi. In simple, magi is a continue of the old coin which was rather abandoned, but being offered with the coin swap option (16:1). This thing was never easy to be done than just said. There were many discussions before and after launch; people get sensitive when talking about it but we have to if magi wants to be something. We'd like to clarifying it and finding solutions rather than just complaints; a few threads are as follows (many more can be found if one wants digging up, that's a main topic in the past):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=821170.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg8950501#msg8950501
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9111697#msg9111697

The basic rule of swap: Total coins swapped/Coins in circulation ~ 10% or less

The current status: (151,313.7149 XMG swap already done)
The swap has been undergoing few months and it appears that it will carry on with months till it ends in order to minimize it's impact.

 Total coins swapped
-----------------------------  =  10.7 %
 Coins in circulation

2) Bounties (171,676 XMG, 0.69%) - promotion (givaway + bounties for community members' contribution), staff salary

It's not that easy to maintain this effort consistently which is very much dependent on the timing. The bounties spent does sound "significant" at the beginning. For example, we spent nearly 10,000 XMG for translation. I believe it more or less sounds unfair to people participating in this coin at the beginning compared to being in right now, but that's really how things get going. Also, we have a few people who work for magi; we can't reach here without their efforts and thus they must be compensated.

The current situation is updated here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9475622#msg9475622

Poloniex (by MobyDick_Poloniex) holds all of coins, remaining escrow balance is: 224900.46000000  XMG (including swap coins, PoM campaign, bounties)
(see also https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=802681.msg9818524#msg9818524)

Just let me know anything you all think of.

When will this campaign start up again?

Magi is making some  nice productions.

We're lack of funds for initiating a similar campaign, but probably we can be in a scale with less incentive. Smiley

We currently have four merchants who will use magipay. The number is rising. Anyone who interested to magipaly, please let us know. We won't provide the opportunity any longer after then.

We still need your vote to get listed at Cryptsy (find it as Magi, not XMG).

Please vote here https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes/

It was shown as: (I've messaged them about the name, but nothing happened Sad )
Code:
MAGI	Coin of the Magi
We will need continual voting on it.  Smiley

The anons are curious to see how MagiPay pays off.  How is the TOR Wallet Project going Joe?  Any news of those updates on Tor Wallet?   In my opinion, Magi is at the top of the charts in production and developments.
Things here and there make me a bit off the dev course; I feel more comfortable if I would be able to turn off my network; Tongue anyway, working on an update regarding the PoW right now, hopefully done this week.

Hi Joe, as XMG is now included in the LitePaid merchant platform, a Magento extention is not really neccessary anymore, as LitePaid already offers a ready-to-use one.
Please use my donation for MagiPay in a way you see best fit for making it a big success.
Thanks for heads up, Digithusiast, we will be doing that way.

How to make minerd autorun after my vps unexpectedly reboot? It's was in a screen session.

Set the miner as a task that runs at boot time. In Windows, I would use Task Scheduler for that.

Yes.But in this case I can't not monitor its hashrate.
Does anyone know how to create a screen session at boot with minerd included?

If you're using linux, the following is one of the approaches (refer to ex33s's post as well):

Code:
sudo su
emacs /etc/init.d/runminer
emacs is a text editor (my favorite), you can use any the likes; add the following content and save it (be sure to change minerd's path, pool url, username, worker and password; also designate the thread numbers if you want)

Code:
#! /bin/sh
nohup /home/magi/m7magi-cpuminer-v2/minerd -o stratum+tcp://stratum.becausepool.com:3441 -u magi.u -p p &

make "runminer" executable and start at the boot:
Code:
chmod 755 /etc/init.d/runminer
update-rc.d runminer defaults

reboot:
Code:
reboot

The minerd's output will go into file /nohup.out, to check:
Code:
sudo less /nohup.out

Check minerd running threads or kill minerd:
Code:
ps -eLf
kill -9 PID
killall minerd

well this is weird, i managed to get it running of sorts. Now it's just saying

[2014-12-12 21:42:24] 1 miner threads started, using 'm7mhash' algorithm.
[2014-12-12 21:42:24] No payout address provided, switching to getwork

Am i missing a step somewhere during the set up of the config file?

I suggest to post what you have done (minerd, conf file, full command, etc) so that others can trouble shoot for you.

If you can build a MagiPay Magento  ( http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/ ) extention, there will be 2 web-to-print sites volunteering. Currently these NL aimed websites are being prepared for international sales.

Yes Digithusiast, we will make the efforts towards this direction after we achieved the initial delivery.

having some issues with solo mining. Anyone able to advise why i'm see this error? I've set it up to run off default and wallet is opening and running.

the error is "HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 500 Internal Server Error"
json_rpc_call failed, retry after 10 seconds

Could you try this git and let us know how is going:
https://github.com/magi-project/magi-minerd

This is only for solo mining; for pool mining:

I think the Mailing List idea is crucial to the future of staying up to date with Magi and its Progress. Bitcoin did that in the beginning then it kind of stopped happening. But it was the best way to stay in touch with the devs and team who puts out important info when needed.
Agree Sam, this is the brilliant idea ever, thanks to Blackcoiner and ex33s. Everyone who would like to keep up with magi should consider signup. We will issue newsletters from time to time, the best way for you to learn latest news and to decide the timing of investing magi. Tongue

Final of this giveaway: Dec. 14, 2014 (Sunday) 20:00 PM EST
Rewards to be sent: right after the final

Thanks for the comments, Pete, glad to see that reaction.

To the MagiCommunity, we'll keep going; however, I have to mention that it is necessary to use funds to support developing the MagiPay. Costs include, for example, renting a dedicated server for the BTC/fiat-XMG exchange; we also have ideas other than the MagiPay, which, unfortunately, heavily relies on the dedicated server too; as always, I am only able to talk details when I can foresee the implementation. If anyone is able to throw us a donation, here are the donation address:

XMG:  95V9eZnrghtEriGUhBwwEuqMbDm1HBJ58u
BTC:  188AmugttD1jfy2xYNy6muTzVzYha1JEuq
LTC:  Lba3T9NUWcTi2VrKWxtXAT4ypnFGV5ojLC

Hi Joe, I have had some very bad experiences with donating, but I trust you to use this donation as intended. Minutes ago I have transferred 0.5 BTC to you for MagiPay. Cheers.

Thanks, Digithusiast. This is really a huge support. I'll make sure all the funds go into the MagiPay project.
