When JPC is getting on mintpal? Im not sure if to buy it now, or better wait a week or two . According to charts the price could fly really high, its impressive, but im not sure is it the right time to invest? price is dropping day by day, and it will dive really deep if Minpal refuse adding it at all...

Someone just paid 4 BTC to get ZIMSTAKE to number one.

Geez the network hash rate took off today. IIRC it was ~20GH/s last night and now we're at about 43GH/s!

This is the result of offering up nearly a 10 BTC jackpot...

I can't think of another coin I have seen that continues to draw such support at times. Think how many people hear about it at times like this, and how it changes where people are mining as well.

The jackpot is for miners only, not for wallet holders or people making transactions.  This encourages mining, but does not encourage use of the coin.  In fact, a sudden large supply of the coins can result in dumping and a great fall in the trade value of the coin.

Philosopher Stone has a 10 day coin bonus to wallets.  Every 10 days, a wallet will get a deposit of about 3% of the balance in coins, FREE.  that encourages people to HOLD the coin, and not to trade it right away

Mintpal and Cryptsy have a past history of adding coins that have an above average trading volume, irregardless of their voting results.  Why?  Its called "Follow the Money".
1184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 26, 2014, 05:19:47 PM
i am suspicious because:

1) they ask for money way up front, prior to proven development

2) the dev, "crtpti", is a newby log on. Likely a new posting ID from someone who launched other schemes here.  See STACKcoin.  Also, see CryptoMeth, where the dev has been AWOL ever since a huge dump of coins immediately after listing on MintPal.

3) They profess to be able to get merchants to use their coin... but BTC already has that market in development.  The merchant market is still very small, and will be for at least 2 more years.  Merchants have no need to accept BTC, since credit cards, debit cards, Paypal and cash work so well.  Merchants dont have time to convert cryptocoins to cash.  Until it is as easy and idiotproof to transact in BTC as it is in Credit Cards, merchants will not use any cryptocoin.

4) transactions have to be confirmed, by miners.   With half of the coins premined, there is little incentive for miners to mine.  Unless there are miners, there are no confirms and no transactions completed.  This is the problem with Quark.  All coins have been mined, so transactions have to be confirmed by those willing to use their rig for a few Quarktoshi per confirmation.

He is right.... the dev is long gone.  Anyone want to hazard a guess that the dev has changed IDs and is now pushing CRYPTI coin launch?   That one has an IPO of 50% of the coins.  Want to spend 1BTC for 10million coins of a new coin?

Funny how people keep buying this "dead" coin and mining with over 60 Gh/s.  I've been mining on and off, on some days it's the most profitable coin for my rigs.

If I do remenber, a R9 290 makes over 30 MH/s.

Thats not complicated to have 60GH.

When the coin have low quantity of miners, the blocks are all yours. If you get one, other and other, its very profitable.

Some people dont understand nothing about mining, but they do about pump and dump scheme.

 Wink

I get 1.5GH out of 4 R9 290s.

"Send money around the world anonymously. Quickly and comfortably. Nobody knows about you."

So would you say this coin is more anonymous than bitcoin? how does it stack up against darkcoin?

Darkcoin combines 3 or more transactions into a single blockchain confirmation hash.  This coin does not.

Crypti is a new crypto-currency designed from the ground up to solve the biggest problem with other currencies - lack of purchase motivation.

So, 'splain how you are going to encourage purchase motivation?

Any details about the escrow?

Maxmint will be providing the escrow for Crypti pre-sale.

maxmint?  with a hidden email address?  Who is this?  your brother? Another of your web names?

Why are you not using a BTC escrow service with a track record?  There are several escrow services that are reputable, and reliable.

Any new coin asking for investors or presale with BTC is highly suspect of being a scam.  Check out STACKCOIN in this forum.

Also look at "FLyMe" Coin in this forum.

Could anyone help with the wallet installation on Ubuntu? Getting an error when trying to make :

Code:
//lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libdl.so.2: error adding symbols: DSO missing from command line
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [jackpotcoin-qt] Error 1
check that you have installed "build-essential" and "qtcreator".
Do you make it via "qtcreator jackpotcoin-qt.pro"?

No, I was following instructions in the readme-qt.

However, I've noticed there's a pre-compiled Linux wallet in the OP. Having opened it, I don't see an option to lock the wallet or access the console???

That pre-compiled wallet may be a coin stealer.  You dont know what the author added.

Hi,

I just released an optimized version of sgminer for jackpotcoin for 14.6 amd drivers.

It was tested on my R9-290x at 1050MHz.

The hashrate is 5.97MHash/s
with the standard jackpotcoin miner, the speed was 3.5MHash/s on 13.12 drivers and 4.1MHash.s on 14.6.

So it is an increase between 50% and 100% depending on the drivers you currently use.

This is still lower than nvidia hashrate (however here it is running on all the hashes... so this is at that level still a work in progress

The source can be found here: https://github.com/djm34/sgminer-jpc
windows binaries here: https://mega.co.nz/#!0d9xjagT!H-K3q-XcyHIGEPcPQOKPcW7sdvh8cAaAmHqNRP09zBg

To use the algo: sgminer --kernel jpc -o pool -u password

NICE........ My hash rate went from 12MH to 19 on my 4 290s.  Will be mining to your JPC today as payment.  Hashharder.

THANKS .......... I mined hashharder for you... 3169 JPC went to your wallet

Check out the AltCoinCalendar for the "FlyMe Coin"

Another scam coin.   Guy wants to sell 50% of the coins in an IPO.  1 BTC for 1 million coins.  The FIRST X22 Coin...ROFLMFHO

He even has a thread here:

Might be the same guy that fooled many on STACKcoin.

i only managed to work with 6 gpus on windows 8.0 with 13.12 drivers. nothing else would work. now with this  new performance driver amd 14.6 beta i dont think this new driver would detect all my 6 gpus, so must be a way to extract some new files from driver 14.6 and replace them with my current drives, possibly.
Any ideias???

Nice job, from 2,3 MH/s to 2,5 MH/s at my R9 280x GPUs Smiley Continue improvements buddy Wink
which drivers ? 14.6 drivers should give you more than that

Nice job again  Wink
I went from 2.4Mhash to 4.3Mhash on a 280x and still using 13.12 drivers.
Just copied AMD_ocl and AMD_opencl files from 14.6 to the miners directory and everything works perfectly.

Hi, my rig works on a fake copy of windows 8 with 6x 280x gpus using 13.12 drives. im not able to upgrade to windows 8.1 so does anyone knows how to trick the windows and possibly replace files from  drives 14.6 beta to the ones i have??? thanks in advance...
Im getting about 3100khs each card, sapphire 280x toxic.

under properties, you can set sgminer to emulate W7.  This MAY allow you to change the drivers in Device manager to the beta 14.6.

W7, BTW, may only support 4 cards.  My rig would not accept a 5th card.

Yeesh, that's still pretty rough. Surely there are better mining options for AMD cards.

Yes, I can mine SHA3 coins at 1.5GH.  Temp only hits 76 degrees max.

Scrypt coins cause CGWatcher to constantly lower the intensity to 14 and even shut a card down.  When it was 17 degrees outside, it was easy to keep the cards cool when set by an open window.

What hash rate do Gforce cards get on SHA3, MAXcoin for example?

No support of 14.6 AMD drivers in Vista Sad
With 13.4 looks like 5xxx and 6xxx series performs even slower with new miner...so update will effect only 7xxx and R5/R7/R9 cards.

there is a trick which has been explained on the previous page, to have it working without changing the driver...

I guess that trick is working in Linux, not Windows.
Tried to copy opencl 14.6 dlls to miner directory - no effect on jpc kernel, and not starting with jackpotcoin kernel Smiley
Don't have Win7/8.1 machine to try. And don't want to reinstall system with pirated Win, as I have a legal Vista license Smiley
If somebody confirms that new sgminer improves performance on 5/6xxx cards - will think about win upgrade Wink
try to get the bin file from someone else (reported to work too...)

Anyone can share jpcJuniperglg2tc8193w256l4.bin built on 14.6 driver and new sgminer? Wink

YES... post email and I will send it

OOPS>>>>>>>>> SOrry, i have jackpothawaii not Juniper.  But I will send to anyone requesting it.

can you upload it to mega.co.nz and post it to the thread please?

Nice tip, I'll remember that for future driver releases so I don't have to reboot etc Smiley
Great!,

But the 14.4 driver will not work?  PIMP(getpimp.org) has 14.4 only.
Can somebody upload "AMD_ocl and AMD_opencl files from 14.6"?

Cant find AMD_ocl, are u sure the name is right? (AMDocl?)  but have several versions of AMD_opencl.  32 and 64 bit.  WHich do you need?

How the hell are you using 1500W for 12MH/s?!  Shocked

GeForce GTX750Ti uses about 50W and returns 5-6MH/s. My 15MH/s is using about 200-250W including peripherals, cpu, motherboard, etc. Lets say 250W that's 1kWh/4hr = 6kWh/day. I pay the same $0.1/kWh as you in NJ, so it's costing me $0.60 in power per day and generating about 25k JPC/day which @ 25sats is about $3.75, so I'm at least $3/day up.

I'd say the hardware you are mining with is what's making it unprofitable, not the fact that it's JPC. I'm not sure *any* coin is going to return a profit for 12MH/1500W.

What kind of hash rate do these cards get with Keccak coin mining, MAXCoin and 365?

I get 1.5GH with my 4 290s.
