121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happens to those DeFi project now? on: November 03, 2020, 11:42:37 AM
Nice question! You made me realized suddenly that why it seems that news about defi are minimal now. The subreddits I joined in are also now silent. Hmm, is this already a sign that the hype train is now over? Well, for me it was. All is just like the 2017 ICO craze. People keep on buying what sprouts and when the bubble bursts then that's the time for them to dump. Good for those investors to dump fast but how about the small ones who spend only few bucks in hope to get a million? It is definitely the bad picture of the story Undecided. I guess some of them are regretting by now, how unfortunate for them to learn the hard way.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: November 03, 2020, 04:55:50 AM
Many employees for sure will be against in that kind of system because we all know that bitcoin is so unstable so it cannot be as salary for the workers and employee.
In most cases, yeah most probably. But for me it's alright because it was a form of adoption and a bitcoin enthusiast like should feel happy about it. So before this kind of system will be applied in the whole organization, it would be better if it will be implemented first for those who have a background jn crypto or those people who are willing to be at least. Through this, it will prevent complaints coming from the sudden change.

Also, I would like to have an option. I mean, not all of my salary will be in btc (e.g. 40% btc, 60% cash). Because at the end of the day, fiat still reigns the mainstream. Converting crypto might lead you to loss of course Cheesy.
123  Local / Pamilihan / Re: coins.ph to gambling sites or vice versa. on: November 02, 2020, 10:44:25 AM
Salamat sa advice mga kabayan. Mukhang okay naman sya sa inyo so okay na rin sya sakin. Ganitong set up na ang gagawin ko. Yeah the down side of doing this is the all about fees pero ieendure ko na lang siguro. Mag a alot na lang ako agad ng for transaction fee sa mga magiging profit ko. Mas okay na yun kesa naman magsuffer sa hassle na dulot ng freezed account Cheesy. Ayoko pa naman na mag undergo ng another personal questions coz it really makes me uncomfortable.
124  Other / Meta / Re: How to increase Merit? on: November 02, 2020, 06:11:56 AM
that makes me think that this is an alt and this thread was made just to increase your post count.
Maybe a yes and maybe a no. But in opinion, I don't think this is an alt account. Why on earth someone will be willing to spend few sats, create some garbage thread and post from it by using his main account? Do you think it was a practical way of increasing post count? And besides, that was an exhausting task just for a single post because overdoing the same set up might trace you back lol Grin. It is very easy to find such posts everywhere so why would you still do it intentionally? So for me OP is just a mere bounty hunter.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz - Oct 31 on: November 02, 2020, 02:36:54 AM
Yeah! I guess even the hardest chins can't even survive that fast brutal uppercut Grin. But in all fairness, Leo fight back blow by blow thus props to him. Actually, he is doing great all throughout the rounds and got a chance to beat Davis but everything went wrong when the knockout punch came. He was able to pressured Davis by his consistent offensive mode and made clear shots as well. All in all, it was an explosive match. Leo proved us that he is not a cheap fighter, he is high caliber one.

What do you guys think would be the next fight of Davis? Hmm.
126  Local / Pamilihan / Re: coins.ph to gambling sites or vice versa. on: November 01, 2020, 11:49:05 PM
Let me hear your thoughts on the way I think of. I'm planning to trade and gamble very soon (nag iipon lang pambili ng laptop lol) and of course ayoko rin ma freeze ang coins.ph account or maka encounter ng kahit anong disturbances.

Ito naiisip ko, I will install Mycelium and let it be the address which will receive all of my profits coming from exchange and gambling sites. Tapos from there, magsesend na lang ako to coins.ph if I need to withdraw. So my question is, how sure na magkakaroon ako ng 100% smooth transaction using this method? Thank you in advance Smiley.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spend or HODL Bitcoin during COVID-19? on: October 31, 2020, 11:32:24 PM
I'll go with Hodling all the way. I mean, the price chart is doing good and it was unusual to happen nowadays. So all of us should make the most of it as much as possible. Resist to convert because there would be a higher price waiting for you ahead, who knows?

However, there is some point that something eagerly forcing us to spend our crypto savings. Like in my case right now, I really want to continue hodling until december but my empty purse already telling me "Feed me please" lol. That's why I decided to convert my remaining btc savings (while the price still soaring tsk). In the battle between greed and needs, the latter one wins Cheesy.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pay Attention to BCH HardFork on: October 31, 2020, 10:27:57 AM
Wth a bitcoin fork is creating its own hard fork? Is this for real? I find the concept so hilarious because what seems is like the original had a clone which tries to create another clone lol. They are just trying to squeeze more juice from btc's name. But well, what would I expect, I'm pretty sure that many new investors will bite on this one like doing the old routine Roll Eyes. Invest in early stage, hype the coin as much as they could, dump once and for all after its maturity and finally forget about it. That's it! What makes me sad is the ones who are late to ride the hype train because they will be the most affected.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin us used mostly where? on: October 31, 2020, 06:41:44 AM
This is just my opinion guys but I think bitcoin and crypto general are currently most used is gambling purposes. Sportsbetting, poker and other card games, dice and roulette are places where bitcoin shines. Try also looking on the signatures/avatars surrounded here in our forum, major postion of it are from gambling websites.

what is the area of economics that dont work without bitcoin ?
Of course every area you could imagine because fiat was already there very long time ago before btc is born Cheesy. Remember that fiat is the main choice and crypto is still an option (at least for now).
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween inspired poll –would your Bitcoins get passed on if you suddenly died? on: October 31, 2020, 03:16:24 AM
Hmm, nice question. But first, let me knock in the wood to counter the bad vibes cam from this discussion Grin. Keep safe everyone guys.

Not to brag or show overconfidence but I am 100% sure that my future heir (which is my gf) if ever I suddenly passed away will access all of my accounts including my wallet and this btctalk account so easily. I was able to influence her to try bitcoin before and she is loving it already. And on that note, I choose to entrust everything to her because she knows the feeling of being a crypto investor the most. I am sure she will take care of my savings and use it wisely. She is business minded and money smart like me so I don't expect any problems at all. I guess I'm just lucky to have her.
131  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Ano ang IWE? on: October 30, 2020, 11:58:19 PM
In my opinion, it was a pyramiding scam for sure. Kabayan, if I were you, I will stay away from it. 'Wag ka na sana mag attempt na sumugal dahil mukhang mapupunta ka na sa lower level of pyramid which made you become the most affected if everything went wrong. Alam ko na sounds good talaga kasi ang laki ng profit within a month but I will tell you na sa una lang yan. Papakagatin lang nila ang investors bago tuluyang tumakas.

Try to watch Xian Gaza's explanation regarding this scheme Smiley: https://www.facebook.com/financesd/videos/555465531482489/?app=fbl
132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Non custodial and custodial on: October 30, 2020, 12:06:00 PM
I might add here that custodial wallets aren't just a risk that the exchange might lock your funds or prevent you from withdrawing them, they actually very often do.
Sorry dude but I barely agree. I don't know what wallet you are using but so far I don't encounter major problems with the custodial wallet I'm using right now. Small maintenances are happening but not often and besides they are fast to get resolved. Despite of the cons of such type of wallet, I'm still using it because I feel that it offers more convenience for me.
Another issue most people don't realize is that these wallets rip you off with fees.
In this part, I will agree to you Cheesy. If I sum up all the fees I paid then I may consider it a significant amount. But on the brighter side, it becomes okay for me somehow since I can get my order few minutes after I cashed out. You know, greater fee means faster transaction.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I believe this is the way on: October 29, 2020, 10:13:52 PM
Dude you are not alone in this one. I'm pretty sure that most of us here are thinking the same way unless such person is already contented in simple and less riskier means of earning.

Hodling can give you profit for now but Trading can do it forever Wink. So don't hesitate to deal with risks in exchange of greater rewards. Step outside your comfort zone. Yeah you might fall hard but shrug it off because everything will become sweeter if you stand up again.
134  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong nangyari? on: October 29, 2020, 01:30:54 PM
I can strongly sense that a huge part of the reason why our local forum becoming less active falls in this one. Miski ako guilty dito and I will not be hypocrite to deny it. Magagamit na nila yun to post on accepted boards. Nakakalungkot isipin pero that's the reality Sad.

Anyway, my other personal reason why I am not sctive here is because of less topics available. Gusto ko man gumawa ng new thread pero di ko magawa kasi feel ko agad na unnecessary yun. Kumbaga eh "sala sa init, sala sa lamig" ako. Sorry, my bad.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 29, 2020, 06:30:24 AM
I'm just glad I still have now my job even if it's just a small salary.
If I lose this, my only chance to help my family is with my crypto holdings from last year to pump next year.
May I know what your job is? I hope it is something vital in the society or at leadt you are permanent in thet one if not. While in my case, I'm very grateful because I finally had a job (as if the rest cares on my update, sorry my bad lol). I'm on the verge of losing hope but thank God he already given me my dream work Smiley. Though I'm still depending on my crypto savings until now due to delayed salary, I still feel relieved.

Hang on, mate! We can survive this pandemic.

It is really hard to accept that this is the new normal where the unemployment rate rise, but still in every economic crash there are some opportunities that we should grab.
Yup! For example, since children are only having online classes which are a more difficult set up than the usual, you can apply as a tuitor. Online selling also became a trend recently as well. You just need to open your eyes and seek what's in demand today.
136  Other / Meta / Re: How many hours are you connected daily? on: October 29, 2020, 04:17:26 AM
Mine is 22 days, 4 hours and 58 minutes at today. I don't know whether it is a lot or less for an account I opened on September 23, 2017.
I think it was a lot less if we compare it to mine to be at least. My total time logged in so far is 42 days, 22 hours, 3 minutes and still counting which is almost twice of what you had. I'm not saying that my record is the accepted basis to be considered as active but yeah you are way farther from it. Anyway, it was understandable since you mentioned that you are having a depression that time. I'm wishing all the best for you dude, you can make it! Just don't forget to seek His guidance Smiley.

The time you stay here is not very important because what matter the most is the knowledge you gained and fun you had here.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 28, 2020, 03:44:48 AM
Still an impressive performance by BGSM as they made a rally after the half.
Yeah! They were able to catch up and almost beat ROS (until the long 3 of Nambatac came Cheesy) but still I believe that coach Tim is not happy on their overall performance yesterday. For me, their defense is weak against ROS that's why their opponent were able to execute lot of points coming from sneaky assists.

They now have a 2 consecutive losses and I hope it ends there.
That kind of image to him is not new so I guess he should easily able to handle that kind of feedback. He should show that level of performance in every game no matter the reason.
Psh, Belga will just shrug regarding the issue. He is already old in this sport, for sure he already got used in handling haters. Anyway, I am quite impressed on his performance. I never expected that he can still become a best player despite of his age. I guess his ponytail is a lucky charm for real lol.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 28, 2020, 01:04:35 AM
if no one else can access the wallet then BTC and other cryptos will be eternal there.
Is it wasting bitcoins?
Absolutely indeed. Your coins will be useless after all if you fail to pass it to someone after your death. Even if you owned a hundred bitcoin, it will remain just a number unless someone opened it and convert to fiat.

So my advice for you guys, while still early, make the most trusted person you had your crypto apprentice. Slowly teach him everything you know about it and make him appreciate the value of it so that when the time comes he will not waste it badly Smiley. This is my plan but I think my time is still far away so I will postpone it for now lol.
139  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Vlogs on how to earn in Bitcointalk on: October 27, 2020, 06:34:13 AM
It's good but some of us here are not here to earn but to learn.
Hmm, I guess more realistic to say just "few" than "some". You know, almost members here got an avatar/signature below their name (I'm not exempted) which means they are here to earn & learn or to earn alone. Too bad for those people who choose the latter one kasi marami silang namimiss na mga mas importanteng bagay.
Nagregister ako dito sa forum nitong January lang and I'm not even making posts or reply because I'd rather spent my time reading those good topics that will enlighten my knowledge about bitcoin. Kaya let's spread some good reply or topics that will help everyone.
Why naman? Ikaw na rin ang nagsabi na let's make good replies and posts, di ba? Kabayan try mo rin makipag exchange ng ideas with your co-members. Mas masaya syang form of learning compared to reading all day long. Well, I respect your preference but I hope you may consider Smiley.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 27, 2020, 03:56:15 AM
Quote
I suggest you to treat gambling as a source of entertainment.
That is what it is but many fails on this instead they are seeking for more and more money so ending?they are now either addicted or a loser.
Don't be so biased dude Grin. Let's admit that we can also be rich through gambling. But when it comes to probability, you really had a greater chance of being broke. So yeah! You are right at some point, however I am pointing out that chances of becoming rich here still exist. The only secret recipe is the right combination of knowledge, skills and luck.

With regards to the mindset, we can get rid off the fact that most of us here play mainly because of money rsther than fun. And that was expected actually since money talks are included here. So if you are only seeking for fun then do not gamble, play video games instead.
