121  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I really hold onto my bitcoins in the future? on: April 04, 2024, 08:56:42 PM
For me, if this is the situation where I can start a small business and support my family by selling bitcoin, then most probably I would sell it. Bitcoin is for life, not for lifetime holding. After starting a business, I will try to buy back Bitcoin again through the DCA strategy from my business profits. So I can support my family and accumulate as well. If you can't trade Bitcoin and make money, then for survival, you need a real-life business or job. Otherwise, life will be like hell. Now you have to make decisions based on the circumstances. We don't know your real situation, actually.
122  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: April 04, 2024, 08:46:46 PM
So I don't know whether Binance will restore my account. However, it seems pretty risky to use any kind of mixer. Either the government or centralised exchanges will catch up.
They cannot know that the money comes from the mixer, but their verification algorithms will try to freeze any account they suspect, especially if the mixers are of the Tornado Cash type, where there is a Contract Address. Therefore, if you want to enhance your privacy, it is better to use Bitcoin mixers, or at least exchange Bitcoin to Monero and then Back again to Bitcoin.

Contact Binance. They will ask you for the source of the funds. If you are able to prove their source, the account will be restored.

I have contacted them. Though they haven't asked for anything yet, the account has frozen. They need 30 working days, according to them, to make a full investigation. After that, they will let me know what the next step is. I have provided proof that I received those funds for marketing through their live support. But it doesn't help unlock my account immediately. A few days remain to reach 30 working days. I will make a post after their decision. Usually I don't store funds for exchange, but those funds are there for daily trading. Still, they allow trades but disable withdrawals.
123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your next step if you experience a Great BEAR MARKET ? on: April 03, 2024, 09:52:32 PM
For me, I will leave my cryptos for the next bull run. Because besides crypto, I have been holding some stable coins that would be fine to survive till the next bull run. Rather, I would accumulate more crypto during the bull market. No point to sell at loss anyway. Whenever I sell my holding, I regret it forever and am never able to buy it back. So I will not panic; I have a hardware wallet and will leave my bags there.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need some ideas on: April 03, 2024, 09:46:18 PM
Good initiative. As we know, it's very important to secure our funds when we are in crypto. So you have to focus deeply on wallet services first. Another important thing is to make them clear about how Bitcoin works and how volatile it is as well. So when they were perfectly informed, they would take the right decision at the right time and not regret it at all. Teach them about using centralised exchanges also; it's very important to choose the perfect exchange and let them know how exchanges often scam and freeze accounts. Overall, we need to make sure all the funds are safe.
125  Other / Meta / Re: [April fools] Adjustments to Merit calculation on: April 03, 2024, 09:10:33 PM
When I visit the forum, I first check my profile. I remember 1st April merit was unrealistic. I have to think sometimes and check my merit history. Instantly, I didn't guess it was April Fool. But after some time, I realised it.

However, it was surprising to me. By posting this, they realised people were posting low-value posts just to get paid.
126  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: April 03, 2024, 09:03:49 PM
So it's pretty clear that governments don't want to allow crypto mixers anymore. I met Tornado Cash a few days ago. One of my clients sent me funds, and his wallet was related to Tornado Cash. Unfortunately, I received the funds on Binance, and they suspended my account temporarily. Yet it hasn't been solved and is under investigation. After that, this news pops up. So I don't know whether Binance will restore my account. However, it seems pretty risky to use any kind of mixer. Either the government or centralised exchanges will catch up.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steelwallets and Airport Security - Potential Exposure Concerns on: April 01, 2024, 09:28:06 PM
A steel wallet won't be an issue when traveling. But you can't carrythe plan with you. You will need to book it with your luggage. Inside the plan, they usually don't allow anything made with steel. In special cases, you have to show them something that isn't secured. But having to book with your luggage is not an issue. Remember, in any case, customs may ask you to open your luggage and check everything. So yes, it's pretty risky to carry when you are travelling abroad. Better use paper to write your seed during travels.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you dispose of a steel plate seed backup? on: April 01, 2024, 09:17:29 PM
I don't believe that situation will come to destroy your seed phrase, which is on a steel plate. But if such a situation comes up and I need to destroy it totally, then I would make it into many pieces by cutting it through a grinder or something else and through different places. But for a better solution, just don't use it after making it empty. But everything depends on the situation and timing. Each case will have a different solution. I hope that situation will not come to me, and I don't use steel plates to write seed phrases.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I make my own signature and use it on bitcointalk freely? on: March 29, 2024, 09:55:14 PM
To wear a signature, you have to achieve a specific rank, because each rank has a different signature design. However, you are free to wear any signature you want, and the forum doesn't require any fees for that. But just make sure the signature isn't restricted by the forum, like all the mixers signatures are restricted. And it shouldn't be a scam. If the forum doesn't prevent you from promoting scams since scams aren't moderated here, DT members would tag you as a scammer in this case. I will advise you to spend more time on the forum so you can learn forum culture.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman Fried (scam banker fraud) 25 years on: March 29, 2024, 09:42:50 PM
Sam Bankman Fried should go to jail for a lifetime and should not accept appeal. It should, because other platform owners should learn they won't just skip with user funds. It's very unfair when we trade on an exchange and suddenly everything is gone. I am lucky I haven't used FTX; otherwise, I would have had to suffer like other users. After that story, it's become very hard to trust any centralised exchanges for storing funds there. However, this would be a lesson for platform owners and users as well.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the common man. on: March 29, 2024, 08:01:24 PM
A common man has a lot of responsibilities and has to focus on many things. He has to struggle to earn money. To become a Bitcoin investor, we must have money. After feeding the family, they have to invest in savings, which isn't easy for them. And having proper knowledge about Bitcoin is mandatory. Otherwise, they will be influenced by negative people. So they might be discouraged from investing in Bitcoin. I was a common man, and I struggled a lot in my life. I take risks by investing in crypto and working hard to learn marketing. So now I can survive nicely even though I don't have a job.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Satoshi Claim Case Update on: March 29, 2024, 07:46:12 PM
Craig Wright should be put in jail. Continually, he is lying again and again. For false evidence, he should be in jail, in my opinion. Singing a message from his Bitcoin address would make everything clear. If he claims it has been lost, then he isn't a Bitcoin creator. Because Bitcoin creators must know, losing wallet access means funds are gone. I believe Satoshi will never try to prove himself anyway; he won't fight for that. Because, actually, he doesn't want to reveal himself.
133  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Philippines bans Binance on: March 29, 2024, 07:37:22 PM
If Binance still accepts customers from the Philippines, then people can still use it through VPN, even if the government bans the apps and websites. But Binance won't go against government rules to avoid problems. Are other exchanges still accessible there? If so, Binance may resolve the issue even if they need to pay a penalty. Because they won't leave their customers this way. I believe a lot of Binance users are from the Philippines, where Binance makes revenue. Is there any Binance reaction? I just heard the news but am still unaware of Binance's reaction.

My Countdown to Hero Member Rank
Number of Merit(s) left: 25 24 14 9

Welcome new Hero Member.

MY COUNTDOWN TO HERO MEMBER RANK
NUMBER OF MERIT(s) LEFT== 25  20

Congrats, you are Hero Member now.

I regret to see a few members applying here with 3 merits, and he needs more than 7 merits to become a member. This is kind of an unrealistic request. You should earn maximum merit for your contribution. We can push you to the next level by supporting you with some merit. We aren't here to build you from the beginning. I will discourage you from making such a request here. Try yourself to earn.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The identity of the bitcoin founder. on: March 28, 2024, 08:36:21 PM
Everyone would have different thoughts why Satoshi remain unknown. For me I believe, Satoshi want to create a decentralised cryptocurrency without any third party involvement. So in Decentralised system he don't want to involve himself to avoid control of Bitcoin. We all know if Satoshi reveals himself then he can influence anything or create something new and leave Bitcoin. He don't want to destroy his discoveries hence he keep remain unknown. We really don't need to look for Satoshi since Bitcoin running smoothly without him and already being established.
136  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you still holding on: March 28, 2024, 08:26:18 PM
I am still holding; I have my own target to sell my holdings. If I reach the target before the Bitcoin halving, I might sell; otherwise, I will wait for the halving. However, whatever the event, I am not going to sell anything from my holdings. I have separate trading funds, so I have been trading there actively. However, I am holding my funds in a non-custodial wallet, of course. But I trade funds on Binance, and recently I have faced issues there. They ask for time to get it resolved, and I am waiting for that. Unless they solve my issue, I will share the details with the community.
137  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: https://klaspi.com/ on: March 28, 2024, 08:20:10 PM
The website seems to be down or not working for me. After reading the post, I suspect it is a scam. Because no legit service would ask you to ever make a deposit in order to withdraw funds from there. So I was quite suspicious of the of the OP trying to promote his website, which is a clear scam. When I see a vouch from a brand new account, I confirm that this is a clear scam. So guys, just stay away. Because the OP trying to promote a scam. Don't believe in such a scheme.
138  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Freelancers to hire: Coinlancer.net. Anyone? on: March 28, 2024, 07:56:10 PM
What I can see is that they are service providers. It's not like a freelancing service where you can get any service from a lot of individuals. Freelancing sites mean they will be a marketplace, not a service provider. However, I haven't heard about them and haven't used them yet. So if you need anything from them, just do your own research. I think you can get maximum crypto service from this forum. Just go to the Seevice section and post there what you need. Just make sure you are going to use a trusted person; otherwise, you can use escrow services.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upon the death of a bitcoin user. on: March 26, 2024, 09:55:03 PM
For me, I wrote down all the cryptographic credentials on a physical notebook. In the event of my death, they can get access to my funds. For that, I have to teach someone from my family about crypto. So I did it, which means my family members can access the funds in case any accident happens to me. There is a matter of trust, of course. So I have to trust someone, and I have to secure my notebook in my way. I don't see any other alternative right now to secure my funds for my next generation.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFTs just marketing gimmicks with no added value? on: March 25, 2024, 09:09:49 PM
I was never a fan of NFT anyway. Till now, I hate NFT, and I think it's just a useless thing in the blockchain industry. It hasn't  added any value to the blockchain industry; it's just a waste of money. A few big mads made NFT popular. Even though I wasn't a fan of memes, it seems they are pumping hard, but still, I am not trading them. I have seen a lot of NFT projects just turn out to be scams. Sometimes something becomes a trend, and scammers take advantage of it to make money. There is no real value to NFT.
