941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's market position inflation corrected on: June 11, 2023, 06:01:12 PM
Are you curious about why the price of Bitcoin has increased in relation to fiat currency inflation? It may seem contradictory since Bitcoin is also part of the economy and can be affected by inflation. However, the price of Bitcoin has risen primarily because of increased investor interest and demand. Bitcoin has a limited supply, and with more people investing in it, the demand has surpassed the available quantity, leading to a higher price. This is the fundamental reason behind the price surge.
942  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [OPINIONS NEEDED] Software to assist campaign managers on: June 10, 2023, 08:36:38 PM
I'm not entirely familiar with the algorithm of the bot you mentioned, but I don't hold much hope that it would be beneficial for managers who enforce strict post count regulations. Each manager has their own set of rules for managing campaigns and ensuring post quality, often imposing restrictions on participants. As companies pay managers to maintain a flawless operation, I believe it's the manager's responsibility to put in the necessary effort to ensure campaign quality. Otherwise, companies could manage these campaigns themselves by employing bots like the one you mentioned.
943  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How do I secure my wallet on: June 10, 2023, 08:23:48 PM
It is essential not to be mistaken or confused about this matter. It is strongly recommended to opt for a hardware wallet, especially one that is open source. It's important to understand that exchanges should not be considered as wallets. While exchanges provide services for depositing and withdrawing funds for trading purposes, the actual custody of your funds does not remain with you. You have to rely on the approval process for deposits and withdrawals, which may involve waiting periods.

Using an exchange as a third-party wallet should never be seen as equivalent to having your own wallet. By doing so, you are exposing your funds to unnecessary risks. To ensure the security and control of your funds, it is highly advised to use a dedicated hardware wallet. This way, you can have full ownership and protection over your cryptocurrency assets, minimizing the chances of potential loss or compromise.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 10, 2023, 07:59:20 PM
In my opinion, while crypto may not be inherently equivalent to gambling, it can be compared to a gamble due to certain similarities. One aspect that aligns with gambling is the uncertainty surrounding future price movements. When engaging in crypto investments, we cannot accurately predict how the prices will fluctuate, and we rely partially on luck to achieve favorable outcomes.

However, it is important to note a significant distinction between crypto and traditional gambling. In gambling, if you lose, you typically lose all of your wagered amount. Conversely, in crypto, if you purchase, for instance, 1 BTC, you will always retain that 1 BTC, regardless of its fluctuating value. So, while the price may not be stable, the ownership of the cryptocurrency remains constant.
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which platform is safe to store Bitcoin and can’t be hacked ? on: June 10, 2023, 07:51:44 PM
I'm curious about your motivation for seeking a 'platform' to store your cryptocurrency. Instead of relying on a third-party platform, why not consider using your own wallet? I suggest opting for a non-custodial wallet with open-source software. A superior alternative would be a hardware wallet like Trezor, which is also open source. By using a hardware wallet, you would have complete control over your funds, unless your seed is compromised. Therefore, I strongly recommend using a hardware wallet and avoiding any platforms that claim to offer secure storage for your cryptocurrency.

946  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Established members and newbies on: June 08, 2023, 08:27:13 PM
To become an established member, it's not necessary to create merit posts. Established members are not adversaries to newcomers. While making good posts doesn't guarantee merits, valuable contributions may receive them. Rather than creating threads solely for the purpose of acquiring merits, it is more beneficial to concentrate on contributing meaningfully to the forum. Enhance your knowledge of cryptocurrency and generate high-quality posts. Blaming others will not assist you in advancing your rank.
947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best open source hardware wallets for BTC? on: June 08, 2023, 08:20:28 PM
I have been using a Ledger device to store my cryptocurrency for quite some time. However, as I consider storing a significant amount of funds, concerns have started to arise. The fact that Ledger's code is not open source raises doubts about what might be hidden within it. Consequently, my sense of security with the Ledger device has diminished. As a solution, I am now contemplating acquiring a Trezor wallet, which has a reputable standing and is open source. With an open-source wallet like Trezor, there are no hidden vulnerabilities that could be exploited to steal our cryptocurrencies. Therefore, I have made the decision to transfer my crypto holdings from Ledger to the Trezor wallet in the near future.
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are physical exchanges in your neighborhood. on: June 08, 2023, 07:29:30 PM
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are not legally recognized in my country, making physical exchanges impossible. Consequently, I am wary of engaging in physical crypto exchanges due to the potential risks. Both criminals and government authorities can swiftly target individuals involved in such transactions, leading to significant troubles in their real lives. Thus, it is advisable to utilize online trusted exchanges for cashing out or purchasing cryptocurrencies. It is imprudent to willingly subject oneself to unnecessary troubles.
949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do, should do, or not do as Bitcoin supporters at this time? on: June 08, 2023, 07:06:09 PM
The allegations brought by the SEC are not limited to Binance and Coinbase alone. They can be seen as an assault on the entire crypto industry. As a result, cryptocurrency users have already recognized this as an attack against the industry. Although there was a notable price drop, it managed to recover within a few hours, especially Bitcoin, which rebounded swiftly. However, certain altcoins like BNB are currently facing challenges in recovering, but it is hoped that they will regain stability soon. It is crucial for all cryptocurrency users to stand in solidarity with the crypto industry and voice their opposition to any form of attack. This is the collective action that we should take at this moment
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please recommend a reliable Bounty Hunter... on: June 07, 2023, 07:56:22 PM
If you find yourself struggling to select suitable bounty hunters and signature participants on your own, it can indeed be a challenging endeavor. Instead, it would be advisable to seek out a reliable and experienced campaign manager from a reputable forum. By hiring such an individual, you can delegate the responsibility of overseeing the entire process, ensuring that only legitimate hunters and participants are recruited for your campaign.
951  Economy / Economics / Re: 3x inflation in my life time (Im 30) does bitcoin fix this? on: June 07, 2023, 07:51:55 PM
What are your expectations regarding Bitcoin? It's important to note that relying solely on Bitcoin to fix inflation is not feasible. Bitcoin cannot solve all problems on its own. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency known for its high volatility, which can be advantageous if approached strategically. Investing in Bitcoin can potentially yield profits, but it's crucial to understand that it doesn't guarantee consistent gains. There are instances where the price may plummet, leading to financial losses. Therefore, it is imperative to thoroughly educate yourself before considering Bitcoin investment.
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more secure, WBTC or BBTC (Binance Wappled bitcoin)? on: June 07, 2023, 07:46:39 PM
BTC in the Bitcoin Blockchain is only cryptocurrency that truly matters. Other cryptocurrencies lack reliability and compatibility within exchanges and crypto networks. It's perplexing why you would consider seeking Bitcoin on a different chain that lacks the same level of security. Trust only in Bitcoin and its blockchain, as it is the genuine platform for BTC. I have no intention of purchasing distorted versions of Bitcoin since they are unnecessary and lack authenticity.
953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if they tried it on: June 07, 2023, 07:42:18 PM
Bitcoin differs from gold in that it cannot be easily seized by the government. Seizure by the government is only possible if you are utilizing a custodial wallet through a wallet authority. However, if you have been using a non-custodial wallet, your cryptocurrency cannot be seized. This is because cryptocurrencies are decentralized, and the government lacks control over them.
954  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice to a Friend on: June 06, 2023, 08:03:56 PM
Initially, if you try to juggle multiple things, it's likely that you may become overwhelmed and delayed in learning the essential aspects of Bitcoin. Therefore, it is advisable to prioritize your focus on understanding Bitcoin thoroughly before branching out into other areas. There is a considerable amount of knowledge to acquire specifically regarding Bitcoin. Once you have a solid grasp of the fundamentals, you can then explore learning about other concepts such as smart contracts. It is recommended to dedicate your attention to Bitcoin for now, as it will provide a stronger foundation for your overall understanding of cryptocurrencies and related technologies.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deciding to save money in Bitcoins for the future of the child on: June 06, 2023, 06:58:31 PM
I understand your situation, and it seems like you've made some sound decisions thus far. Storing money in banks may not be as secure as it once was. One of the primary concerns is that banks and governments have control over your funds, and there is a risk of them declaring bankruptcy, which can leave citizens cheated. Therefore, it has become increasingly difficult to trust any bank, especially during times of inflation.

Alternatively, investing in Bitcoin can offer potentially significant returns, and it allows you to have full control over your funds, effectively becoming your own bank. To ensure the utmost security, it is advisable to use a non-custodial wallet or consider purchasing a hardware wallet. These measures can provide added protection for your Bitcoin holdings.
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should cryptocurrency be banned in a country with a population of 240 million? on: June 06, 2023, 06:49:03 PM
At present, implementing a ban may not be a favorable course of action in your jurisdiction due to the significant number of individuals already involved in cryptocurrency. However, it is possible that certain wallet software or exchanges may be prohibited. Nevertheless, due to the inherent nature of decentralization, no government would ultimately succeed in completely banning the usage of cryptocurrencies. In the event of a ban, people would resort to trading on the black market. A similar situation exists in my own country, where Bitcoin is not officially permitted, yet I and many others continue to use it. We engage in local fiat-to-crypto and peer-to-peer transactions. The government's attempts to impede us have proven ineffective.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fud or Its Reality? BTC is Down Again on: June 06, 2023, 06:21:47 PM
The reports regarding the SEC and Binance have been confirmed to be accurate. The fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) surrounding this news have indeed resulted in a significant decline in the entire cryptocurrency market. Allow me to elaborate on the concept of FUD. It stands for "Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt" and is commonly used to describe a situation where negative information or rumors cause individuals to become anxious about potential losses. As a result of the SEC's negative announcement, many holders in the market began to panic, fearing financial setbacks. Consequently, a wave of selling emerged, causing the market to turn red and further escalating people's concerns. This led to a massive sell-off and ultimately a market crash. Therefore, it is evident that FUD has influenced people's decisions to sell their holdings.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is There A Bitcoin Exchange That Pays Most of Fees for You? on: June 05, 2023, 09:02:10 PM
When discussing centralized exchanges, it's important to note that withdrawal fees are a significant factor to consider. These fees should not be confused with transaction fees, as exchanges typically charge higher withdrawal fees than what they actually pay for transaction costs. This is because exchanges engage in a large volume of transactions, which allows them to negotiate lower transaction fees. Ultimately, their goal is to generate profit from users rather than cover their fees. While it is possible to have control over fees in non-custodial wallets like Electrum, not all wallets offer this customization feature. Therefore, it is unrealistic to expect reduced fees from exchanges. It's worth mentioning that withdrawal fees encompass both transaction and processing fees and serve as a source of revenue for exchanges.
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years of a Legendary post on: June 05, 2023, 08:54:30 PM
After reading the threads, I found them genuinely fascinating. The individual in question had foreseen the price reaching $10K in 2011, and it's truly remarkable how his prediction eventually came true several years later. I must admit, he was a legendary figure. It's quite impressive that he recognized the potential of Bitcoin when his post about expecting a $10K price seemed like a mere dream. I hope he was able to capitalize on his foresight and make a decent profit. Thank you for sharing this intriguing story with us.
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Also Girls Should Be learned About Bitcoin on: June 05, 2023, 08:47:59 PM
While engaging in crypto marketing and networking, I have had the opportunity to meet numerous individuals, many of whom are female marketers. Despite this, I have been successfully collaborating with them. It is evident that there is a significant presence of women in the crypto industry, and they have managed to establish themselves effectively. The world of crypto is open to anyone without limitations, provided they possess strong intentions. If your sister has a genuine interest in cryptocurrency, I encourage you to teach her thoroughly.
