success for the investment? first of all, you should speculate the project that you want to invest. is there a chance for its project could go popular and success in the future. and the second one is for you to be quite strong in the game of HODL  Yes, to be able to make money from money, you have to first find a good investment site or any coin for long term holding. If you are able to find such good investment opportunity for sure it will pay you good if you follow the project and know when to get in and get out in profit. I can answer my question by saying that bitcoin has what others don't and that's being the pioneer in the crypto markets. Which is why everything is priced in bitcoin But really....what does bitcoin do better that any other alt? What's the intrinsic value of bitcoin that I can't get with other alt? Transaction fees? No. Fast network? No. scalability? No. A functional product? No. Full anonymity? No. Descentralización? No. So? The markets are priced in bitcoin, and being that base of value is pretty important, but...is that it?
I am agree with your opinion bitcoin is much different than other altcoin. Both have there own advantage, but bitcoin just surpass every alt coin. Bitcoin is first ever and mother of all digital currency. People believe in bitcoin instead of other coins and they know if they invest with it, they'll earn double. Bitcoin price increase rapid as compare to other coin's price and its the main benefit you can double your money in just short time. |

Ethereum - Has proven time and time again that it has consistency and stability. It's show great potential in the market, it's reached an all time high of $500 and is a coin to be invested in long term if you are to see good profit.
Ripple - Has shown also that it has potential and great capability to be a great altcoin. It's coin value is currently steady at $0.25, but if this coin spikes like it did in early November 2017, the profits are great. Ripple is centralized and used mostly by banks around the world for it's technology.
Stellar - Is a coin that some people underrate due to it's value, currently at $0.73. What some people might not know is that it was $0.2 just a few days ago. It's a coin similar to Ripple and has the same kind of potential. If you are looking to invest, look at this one for sure.
I really like those 3 too. Much profit long term and short term. These three are the best three altcoin i guess. I have some doubt about Stellar but Ethereum and Ripple are the real good coins and you can invest in both of them blindly |

Altcoin has a future and they will all survive in 2018 or maybe even grow now. All the altcoins are almost at all time low as Bitcoin is all time high, so it means that the alts will definalty rise again as the bitcoin settles itself. |

While I see the OP's point, i believe it is too much of a generalization not applicable to all cases. Stop order is a very important feature and trading and has saved me a couple of times already. The thing is you really need to learn how to use and know when and at what price to place stop orders. Generally if you are a newbie doing guesswork with trading, stay away from stop orders.
This. Its there for a purpose, and many traders can attest to its effectiveness. I will never leave a position open without setting a stop order, especially when I cannot monitor price movements. Stop order is basically to put a stop in case you are in a loss and you wont lose all ur capital in case the coin you are trading dips down too low in a very short time. Anyways its upto the trader how he uses it but i think most people do not use it to it actual purpose. |

3) 0x
4) Waves
5) WBB's exchange
6) XBY's X-Change
Other than decentralization in what else these exchanges have to offer
The more exchanges, the less likely it would be for that MT. Gox scenario to happen again. There is a bunch of junk exchanges though, watch out. Yes, another benefit for having a lot of exchanges will be no monopoly for exchanges. They wont charge high for transactions and also keep the withdrawal deposit limit low. |

There's no need to start on different exchanges but if that's what you prefer then go. I think the mistake here is on how you execute your trading strategy you have to make a change on how you pick the coins you like to trade. My first trading experience also started with a loss but I immediately change things before my loss started to pile up. The Important thing is that you should get experience from what mistake you made which cause the loss. Gather this data will help you avoid same mistake again and again. |

A safe haven investment is undoubtedly gold/precious metal, coz you looking for safe haven it should be safe. Bitcoin has high volatility, it's good for profitable/long term investment, not for saving investment. However i think your percentage are suited for you, 30:70. you (and me too) are still young, better to make huge money before we get old  Nothing is safe and nothing is totally risky. A good approach is to use the mind and take responsible measures to get good results in trade or whatever the financial thing one is involved. |

i'm one who spend too much time for trading. I made so many stupid mistakes because of thinking emotionally instead of logically.  what is your opinion? Its true when you buy altcoin or just the cheap coin you need some researched about the coins, chart analysis for the price movement and the roadmap of the coin. Be careful in choosing cheap coins maybe it turns into shitcoins. Strategy and timing when you do trading or else you've loss your fund. There is no grantee that cheap coins will scam and the expensive coins will not scam. There is no logic in this. I have seen people investing and trading with good coins and bear loses. |

For Airdrops you can search in bounties section of this forum but one thing should be taken care of for airdrops. Airdrop is a free distribution of coins and in case any one asking few ETH or bitcoins for the distribution is a sign of scam and you should be careful on that. Other than that it is free and you can get free coins which might be useless for the time being but maybe of good value in future.

Your period of holding the coins are too long, If you have decided to invest your saving in bitcoin and ETH and hold them for 10 to 15 years then you much attention about the price rise and down and also know about the information of bitcoin. Because bitcoin and other coins never give us any guaranty that they will live after 10 or 15 years. But idea is good to invest in bitcoin 70% and ETH 30%. |

Yes investing in ripple is worth, as you said many banks are invested in this coin and NEM and NEO is also good coin to invest before this year end. I think many banks are interested in supporting Ripple and this is the one reason why it's value was rising high and people showed interest in it. If you talk about Neo, this coin is good because it has less supply and all those coins whose supply is less their value grow much more faster than coins who are more in supply. |

i have an account in myetherwallet but i never done any transaction from it ,i just have a small amount of coins in there but i'm always checking and luckily my coins is still there...i just see to it that i save my private key safely.
Yes, i use myetherwallet to store my smart contract tokens. I have a very good experience with myetherwallet and never face any sort of issue or problem. The other great thing is that there are multiple option to get into your account like tokens / private key etc. I also like its interface and we can get all the smart contracts easily accessible from myetherwallet. |

It definitely looks like it will hit 1000 in January, made a nice move up today.
Ethereum goes up but then goes down again because bitcoin prices start to rise and everyone move out from ETH to invest in bitcoins. I think Eth has good potential and it will rise very high but for that we have to wait for bitcoin to become stable and then people will invest back in Ethereum. |
