121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 23, 2024, 02:17:16 PM
My bet on Jokic should be an easy hit, Jokic with a double-double already and it's still just the first quarter of the game, 3 rebounds more with 36 minutes left to play for should definitely be an easy reach for Jokic here  Smiley

Seems Jokic is giving us easy win because he is unstoppable, the only way the Lakers could win if they have a good shooting which they showed in game 2 but just fall short in the end. Jokic ended with triple double record, (27, 20, 10), insane numbers, it should be a another history for him I guess. Anyway congratulations mate.

All the games last night had the hometeams won their respective games, so it's 2-0 for all of them.

Now, we will have 3 games

Suns vs Wolves -3
Pacers vs Bucks -1
Dallas vs Clippers +2.5

I think betting on the road team is interesting, what are your thoughts here?
122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: April 23, 2024, 12:00:49 PM
The era we are living in isn't like how things used to be in the past. You can't even trust your blood relatives these days because anyone can do anything for money. So it's not wise to think that the person you are discussing it with is close to you or is someone you trust because no one is trustworthy these days.
There are some people that we can trust but we don't have to give it fully. It is necessary to keep low despite the big achievements that we have in our lives. To remain humble really makes sense in such a way it helps us out from the interest of others. Seeing us useless gives them no reason to think something undesirable. That is why I see some (real) rich people haven't dressed so fancy or have a luxurious life. Now I realize that it is one way of keeping themselves secure.

When we have some friends gatherings, we never discuss how much we earn nor I started to talk about it but rather talk about the past.
123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You will lose more if you DCA without knowledge on: April 22, 2024, 12:48:05 PM
What I have noticed with my bitcoin holding is that, I have continued to lose more, each time i try to take advantage of the price to profits, in form of DCA approach.

This outcome lead me to make further research about the best way to build profits using DCA and I find out that, is a wrong thing to do as a newbies without adequate knowledge about the volatility of the bitcoin market, and also no matter how sweet the DCA approach have been for experience bitcoin investors, DCA can still be the worst for a newbies,  so I say newbies should stay away from DCA until they have the knowledge of the risk and approach to DCA.

Thank you for reading.
We need to have adequate knowledge in order to know how to use the DCA strategy because if you are familiar with this genuine strategy " Buy Low and Sell High", you are definitely in good approach.

Have to understand that not all things can be learned in just a single day but can take several days and market experience. We don't need to perfect and make no mistakes, it is impossible in a volatile market. Losing will just happen to anyone who sells their coins at a lower price than the price we bought them. DCA is not a wrong idea but what went wrong is when we are in the wrong timing (buying) because some people buy high and sell low due to FOMO and panic.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone is celebrating about the fourth halving but what is this? on: April 20, 2024, 01:32:19 PM
My question is what makes people excited about the halving where they even can afford to pay a huge amount of fee for just sending less than 1BTC? If this is just what's seen in the market, I think it is better not to have halving anymore. In fact, we were surprised when the fee reached $10, $50, but the current fee is more than surprising, it is disappointing.

I'm not sure what people are doing especially those who send their BTC at the current fee because they are not doing right IMO.
I'm not going to expect this be going to calm down fast but I hope it will.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 20, 2024, 12:16:19 PM
You have been losing gambling for three weeks so why did you not take any break from your gambling during these three weeks. You should definitely take a break from gambling during these three weeks. If you had taken a break from gambling during these three weeks, you would have made your gambling decisions in a healthy mind that would not have resulted in you losing consistently. When a gambler is consistently losing at gambling, it is best for that gambler to take a break. When the gambler takes a break, he can easily mark the mistakes he is making in gambling and if he can mark his mistakes, he will try to correct them so that he does not have to lose constantly.
He could not because he is now chasing his losses rather than thinking how to stop losing. As he preferred to gamble more and chase his losses, the more possible he could no longer get his money back.
Very unfortunate, but many gamblers have this wrong mentality. In fact, losing straight is an indication that we need to stop or take a break. Gambling is about luck but sadly, luck never comes to us always that is why, sometimes we need to use our instincts. Losing 5 bets straight is enough to stop IMO and just come back after a few days. I did this and it is quite helping me not to fall into addiction.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: April 20, 2024, 11:11:16 AM
This is common thoughts that comes in gambler mind, after winning a decent amount from gambling. Not only gamblers, but most of people have such nature to want more and more even after having a lot. But greediness is a curse for gambling cause thus a gambler do inject limitless money so that they could have maximum possible return but if they lost the match then they also lost all the money together. So they should focus to calculate risk before staking on gambling and need to be cautious of how much they are afford to lose. Thus is how it would be possible to avoid big losses. Otherwise a only thing that a Gambler will have to do is "regret for his decision"
That is the problem with us most because we feel no contentment in life but always asking for more. We ain't no surprised why many gamblers keep losing because of such a wrong way of understanding gambling as they think that the more they spend time gambling, the more they earn. Unfortunately, gambling does not encourage gamblers to do that but rather be responsible gamblers. There is no regret if we are all responsible and take the right approach but if we deem it to take the wrong way, that absolutely takes us to the losing situation.
If we can control our greediness, we are also winning.
127  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you feel that the global economy is declining? on: April 20, 2024, 07:06:09 AM
One of my colleagues told me that his salary is lower now than it was five years ago. Sadly, the price of goods is rising.
Inflation affects an individual's budget making most of us think that our salary is not enough anymore. Unfortunately, the majority are unprepared for this situation and feel that we're pushing down to poverty. The economic growth of the country is a way to measure the current situation and how it looks in the coming years. Seeing declining growth makes people think negatively and will affect their mindset.
We are not yet in the dark about feeling that we're going to lose hope but the government should never disregard the situation. But of course, we don't need to depend on them either. We also need to find ways how to overcome this inflation and one thing we can do is to increase our sources of income.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing the money in gambling, what is your strategy on: April 20, 2024, 06:24:04 AM
I have even cried and I have to move forward, because losing money like that is difficult, I have lost more than what I have won, I cannot say that I have won big, what I have won the most has been 25usd and that is the equivalent so that I don't retire from the game at once.
Normally, we cry when we've worked hard the money that we used to gamble. And upon losing it, it's not just about losing the money but also losing all of the times that we've spent for earning that money and that's why we become emotionally which is normal when we realize at the end how we lost a lot even if the amount we gambled is small for the others. No effort can be par with that amount when it includes our time, effort, energy and attention.
We are supposed to gamble using our extra money, not our hard-earned money. Indeed, it was too emotional because we thought already that we would win. We feel disappointed because we overthink that having this xxx amount will become x2 (or more).
In order to avoid this, then makes a decision to just spare money for gambling, a separate budget for personal/family budget. And most of all, we have to stop assuming to win because this is gambling and we just rely on luck. There is no need to cry because we choose to gamble and we choose this life, not the decision of others.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the best asset for investment currently? on: April 19, 2024, 02:00:07 PM
Bitcoin is more profitable than any other investment whether short-term or long-term because of its volatility. But if we talk about safety assurance, this is certainly not the best asset ever as it is prone to hacking. Due to its high risk, many investors choose not to get involved here but rather choose to invest in real estate and the stock market.

Maybe I missed something but I haven't seen a chart proving that the majority are investing in Bitcoin making the statement true that Bitcoin is the best asset now. Because what I see is that rich people are mostly in real estate investment. Maybe some of them are buying Bitcoin now but probably it is just a small chunk of their total investment funds.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in a casino's bankroll...Still worth it in 2024? on: April 19, 2024, 05:03:56 AM
If there's a new open casino that accepts investments with known team who had operate a successful crypto business and casino before, i will be willing to invest and i guess its still worth it.
What kind of investment you are planning, is it through crowd funding or private investment.
Honestly, I can't find any casinos nowadays that starts accepting investors like when they are at the early stage, it looks like they already had a private investors before they introduce their product to the market.

But to the old ones, naaah, i did experience of investing to those, and i learned it my way.
Maybe you haven't invested on a right casino, but when it's old and establish, the rate might be low and you need a decent capital so you'll be satisfied with the potential profit you'll make.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 19, 2024, 03:22:22 AM
Yeah, I think if Zion is not going to play, Sacramento got the edge and so that bet is good and I was also go that route as they are now the favorite in that game. Pels are at 1.99 and that is a long shot already.
This is the problem of Zion and I think that he's never going to get a title if he's always too prone to injuries unless he teams up with some good players out there that can truly carry a team.
Zion was already announce unavailable on their do or die game vs the Kings.

Zion Williamson injury: Pelicans star out for Play-In game vs. Kings with hamstring strain

Ingram and CJ  should play harder to win, they are at their home court, they are in advantage so I trust them even without Zion the Lion.

Los Angeles vs Denver Nuggets - the Lakers are a huge underdog in game 1.
As a Lakers fan, I'm sad that my confidence is quite low if it's against Joker's gang.

They need to prove first, maybe the spread or the odds will change if they'll upset the Nuggets in game 1.
A high handicap against a popular team is an indication that the Nuggets are really the better team than the Lakers.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do casinos do with inactive accounts? on: April 18, 2024, 09:57:32 PM
What do casinos do with inactive accounts? And what does inactivity mean - not logging in to your casino account or logging in say every two months without playing any game?

I also learned that there is something called a dormancy fee or maintenance charges on those inactive accounts which covers for administrative cost incurred by those accounts. I learned that the deduction is from the remaining balance in the account. What about inactive accounts without any balance? On the other hand, what type of fee is charged on an active account?

Once notice that it is active again, they will consider it suspicious and ask you for some KYC to simply verify the owner. But don't wonder why if it is done and the account is empty because yes, they will take all your balances. And I honestly experienced this one making me start and deposit again. It is just like refreshing our wallet. Even just gone in a week, it is still not normal for them, and much more using different devices to login into your accounts. But I have no experience with what will happen or if there is a charge in an empty account which I think leaving a huge money with them is not a good idea.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 18, 2024, 01:04:24 PM

One more chance for Miami to move forward for the playoffs they just need to win the game against the Bulls, then let see if they can pull another upset if they face the Celtics.

That's a very tough assignment for the Miami Heat but they have done this before, so this is like a rematch of the last season's play-in. FYI, Miami won that battle and goes up to the Finals, they have an unbelievable run that time, let's see if they can copy that and it should start by beating the Bulls.

Betting spread is now available, Miami is -2.5 at home, while on the other match up, Pelicans is +1.5 at home, that line simply indicates that Zion is out.
134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What people some people don't know about trading on: April 18, 2024, 11:44:11 AM
I have seen where people say trading is a quick to get money.
An unrealistic mindset never wins. These people will just stay short and quit. Or, that quicker they lose their money.

Quote
[/b]
But I see it differently. Rather, trading is a place that shows those who work hard, put in consistency and are ready to learn and those who think they can outsmart their way in.

Those who earn massively in trading are those who have dedicated 1-2 years of their time to learning a particular skill to perfection.

So, how can you earn 50-1000k like them if you didn't put in the work?
No matter how long you've been trading, you can never find profit consistency. Maybe their chance is high but still, they can't escape from losing. Even though we have already gained deep knowledge and great trading skills, this won't change the fact that this won't ensure profit.

For me, at least earning $1,000 per month is big enough as a minimum. We can push hard to reach high but must remember that greediness always never ends good.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I really hold onto my bitcoins in the future? on: April 17, 2024, 10:27:00 PM
Investing in Bitcoin will be a really good decision for you. If you hold long term in Bitcoin you will get much better return in future. But you have to be fully prepared for the long-term hold. This requires a good source of income, so that you can keep your investment for a long time without any interruption. Remember that if the investment is not long-term, you cannot expect anything good from it.
Just sounds easy if you have multiple sources of income but for those who are focused on Bitcoin investment, that is quite challenging. Well, if we really trust and believe that Bitcoin will continue to increase its price in the future, we can make it but if doubts have in our minds, that is somewhat impossible as I was sure that these investors will sell their Bitcoin when dips comes.
Quote
Bitcoin price is very low right now, it is very good opportunity to buy Bitcoin. Please don't miss this opportunity, if you want to invest, invest now and don't rush to sell. In future it will give much better amount of returns.
$60k, $65k, or even $50k is not very low IMO. But as I've said, if you really have the trust, then take this opportunity. Just be sure that you are strong enough and committed to holding during bear season, not just too aggressive during Bullrun.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It takes the balls... on: April 17, 2024, 09:44:57 PM
That's why I say the best time to buy is when we have the money and are willing to take the risk, not what the bitcoin price is.
Yes, the best time to buy Bitcoin is when someone has money to invest in it. As long as Bitcoin is below $100k in this bull run, it's an opportunity for the investors. The ones who buy Bitcoin now by investing their money in it would gain enough profit when Bitcoin get to new peak during the high intensity of this bull run.

There is no perfect time to buy Bitcoin but it is better to buy during a market correction than the current situation (Bullrun). Even though we think that it was below $100k, if we consider that we are not sure what will happen next or just say, the price suddenly drops, how these people can manage to hold?

It is indeed profitable but buying during this time is not a good decision even applying DCA. This is why many people have lost because they buy Bitcoin during the bull season and just sell it as the price drops after.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 17, 2024, 08:02:57 AM
The Lakers took the 7th place, fulfilling the expectations of the majority. LeBron went 23-9-9. D-Lo's influence is undeniable. The Lakers' narrow rotation was enough for the play-in, but they don't have much chance in the play-offs.
They'll face a tough opponent, and I don't remember they win a game in the regular season against the Nuggets.
I sems like the Nuggets owned the Lakers, and Davis has been limited with the defense of Jokic.
2 bigs are going at each other, but Lebron also have a good defender which is Gordon, so this is really hard for them, I hope they will not be sweep again.

Although Zion scored 40, the Pelicans lost because Ingram and McCollum played very badly. Fortunately they have one more chance. They need to use it well against the Kings.
Zion coming back in that game is hard to expect, but regardless though, I think the Pelicans still have a chance of winning as the Kings are also undermanned. Plus it would be a shame if they still lose again at home, that would be 3 losses at their home court.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 17, 2024, 07:34:25 AM
Taking the live bet pelicans for the win.  I know lebron and AD and all that but Pelicans at home and if the Lakers lose they move out from having to deal with Denver until at least the western conference finals.  They are gonna push but if pels are up late I can see the Lakers letting this one go.  It's gonna be a good game either way but the money is right
Pelicans were able to have a big run, it's just unfortunate that Zion was injured and that give the Lakers a chance to attack and win. It could go either way but Lakers got lucky here.  Now, they have to face the Denver Nuggets again which is way better than the Pelicans, I hope this would not be a repeat of the last season playoffs.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Altcoin a distraction to Bitcoin adoption? on: April 16, 2024, 09:37:54 PM

Do you think that altcoin is a major distraction to bitcoins adoption?
I'd say YES because people have their choice and possible we know that Bitcoin is the most promising and useful project among cryptocurrencies. The slow adoption comes from the lack of trust and with the government issues (strict implementation), not because of altcoins.
Maybe, if you are talking about investment, it seems to be right that altcoins ruin the market reputation due to scam issues which make people think that investing in cryptocurrencies is too risky and high chance of losing. These things losing the interest of the people, plus the manipulating factor of FOMO and FUDs that certainly affect our mindset.

140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 16, 2024, 05:51:59 AM
If they have the money, they can. But just balance all of those players and teams unlike PBA, they're saying they have salary cap but it's all just a show and greater and superstar players are receiving more than the cap.
There's always a thing called "under the table", if they really think he is very valuable to the team, then they could give that salary. I don't follow MPBL a lot but since they have been considered as a pro already, that means they are into business for long term and whow knows one day they'll overtake PBA and they'll be the best league in the Philippines.

Greg is actually 35 years old already, I don't think he deserve that kind of salary because he is nearing the retirement age. That article might just be hype and readers buy the story.
