1101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 20, 2023, 07:40:56 AM

Casimero better be ready for any kind of style if he wants to become a champion. Inoue might be heavy-handed but he is not the type of fighter that wants to brawl. Fulton and Tapales can brawl but they are pretty much technical fighters as well. Casimero gets schooled by any of these fighters if he is only expecting them to brawl.

Casimero is not very technical and relies heavily on his power. If he gets the timing right, then that's when he can win the fight. Against Rigo, he did not look good because he couldn't hit Rigo with solid shots due to Rigo's quickness. If Rigo was younger, I'm sure he would have gotten the win, although it would have been a boring one.
1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 20, 2023, 06:53:00 AM
The betting odds for Game 6 are already available. If you plan on betting on Ginebra San Miguel to win, you should take it early as the spread is only -3.5. I'm pretty sure it will move tomorrow as in Game 5, they were -6.5, so there's a possibility it will move that far.

This is a do or die game for Ginebra, and they should win this one. The -3.5 spread is not hard to cover.
Thanks for sharing the betting odds early. Of course, I will take that as Ginebra has been dominating the league for a while now. Brownlee had a stomach problem last game, but I believe he has enough time to heal before game 6. Who knows, he could be well now and already practicing for the game.

Also, the game has gone over many times already. However, I think game 6 should be under as it will be a very defensive match-up.
1103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 19, 2023, 12:46:03 PM

How would he play if he didn't practice, probably the injury is really serious and it requires more time to heal before he can return. Well, the current line up of the Bucks I think is capable of winning at home.

The bookies had already factored in the possibility of him not playing and didn't make a significant adjustment to the point spread. The home team is capable of winning even without their starting player. Both teams were missing a starter, so the game must go on, and we should not complain about the outcome if the Bucks lose, as the game is not over yet.

If Giannis misses game 2, he will likely be available in game 3 and may try to help the Bucks win both games on the road.
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 19, 2023, 08:07:51 AM
I hope Morant is okay with the Game 1 loss.

He said he's fine in the West, LOL. However, what will happen if the Lakers sweep Memphis? I think there's a possibility, as the Lakers have an advantage over Memphis with their bigs who can dominate the paint. Meanwhile, Memphis mostly relies on Morant, and I'm sure the Lakers have found a strategy to limit him.

What do you think will be the outcome of Game 2?
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 19, 2023, 07:32:45 AM
I'm pretty sure people won't be bored and they will be glued to their seats for the entire fight as every round could be explosive.
However, they might be disappointed as this fight could end very quickly, possibly within the first three rounds if both fighters start aggressively, since we know they are both capable of knocking each other out. This is a championship fight between two undefeated boxers, so it's unlikely to be a one-sided beatdown, even though Tank Davis is heavily favored.
1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are about to enter altcoin season, what do you think? on: April 18, 2023, 09:49:20 PM
There are many traders who are waiting for altcoin season to arrive after they are tired of trading in bitcoins and want to make bigger profits in altcoins.
but altcoin season doesn't seem to come at this time but rather next few months according to my prediction. in my view the season for the altcoin season will be at the end of the year
Perhaps, you will never know exactly. Whether the alt season has come or never, traders or investors will still choose them in preparing for the upcoming bull season. And one way to say that altcoin season will come is when Bitcoin had rallied also. And as we notice, prices grow slowly which is a reason why we should have to fill our bags now before that big event will happen otherwise, we blame ourselves for not buying too early while the price is still cheap. It can't be a long-term holding so I believe that everyone can do this and can wait for its peak.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 18, 2023, 06:10:20 AM
The Warriors are the ones who will have to win a game in Sacramento in order to advance.

This is true, but if this series goes to game 7, even though the Warriors have played worse this season, I believe they will have an advantage in game 7 due to their past experience. It will be experience versus an inexperienced team in game 7, so I think the Kings will likely panic a bit.

What about the Clippers vs Suns game tomorrow? If the Clippers win again, it could be one of the biggest upsets because the Suns have formed a super team and although Westbrook has been struggling, he was a big reason for the Clippers' win in game 1. I'm wondering, what if Westbrook wins the Finals MVP? I'm sure nobody expects that.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 18, 2023, 05:51:22 AM
Maybe Garcia is the underdog in this fight but we cannot be sure if he is still one if they have a rematch.

If he wins the first fight convincingly, he will not be considered an underdog. It doesn't make sense to list him as an underdog if he clearly wins the first fight. Bettors would have a better chance to make money with more attractive betting odds.

However, the question now is whether he can beat Tank Davis, who is a very smart fighter.

We never know, but your point is valid. Right now, the odds are based on the bookies' evaluation of their previous fights. Since Davis has more convincing wins and is the better fighter based on many aspects, he is now listed as the heavy favorite. However, that could change in a rematch if there is one. If there is a rematch, that means Garcia would win, as Davis doesn't give rematches if he wins this fight.
1109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's NOT a good time to invest in BTC. on: April 17, 2023, 09:49:44 PM

So be careful. If you truly don't know if you should buy or not, do some research and always look at the bigger picture and not some small local signals.
Everything we do will correspond to results and also we are aware that every wrong decision we made, will have negative outcomes.
Perhaps, investing in crypto or any form of investment requires thorough research in order to make sure that we are investing in the right project at the right time. People keep asking when is the perfect time to buy Bitcoin. Well, we can't perfect time for this but buying them when the price is low is somewhat our opportunity to make a profit when selling them at a higher price.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casino sports betting for gamblers at local bookmakers. on: April 15, 2023, 01:35:39 PM

And what concerns me is that one of them actually becomes a gambling addict in a crypto casino. It was a pity that he had lost his senses and forgot about his responsibilities as the head of the family to the point where he was more concerned with money at stake.
From that incident I felt very guilty for inviting him to bet at a crypto casino until he became an addict.

I want to ask for advice and input from members here, what should I do to deal with this friend of mine and how should I react to it because he became a crazy gambler because of my invitation.
Sad to hear that you brought someone in the wrong direction but my take on this situation is that - you don't need to blame yourself as it was not your responsibility anymore. Perhaps, that person is old enough already to know what is right and what is wrong, and indeed he knows what exactly happens to him. Honestly, this person got tempted to win more after winning on the first try. He'll think that he could win more if he increases his bets and very unfortunate that after chasing such a chance, he ended up in addiction.
1111  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of crypto casinos with high wagering requirements on: April 15, 2023, 12:56:22 PM
I see the reason why they have used this requirement is to make sure that all deposits and those who use their platform are intended for gambling, not mixing or money laundering. In fact, it is not quite a normal activity to see after having the deposit, they withdraw their funds back to another wallet. If some people are considering this is too unfair, I know they never understand what the casino are trying to do as they don't want to get involve into criminal activities and they don't want to ruin their reputation.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can owning 1 Bitcoin make you rich in 2023? on: April 15, 2023, 12:29:58 PM
No matter what country you live in, in the current context, you cannot write your name on the list of riches with one BTC.  Now the price of one Bitcoin is around $31$. Let's assume that by the end of this year, one BTC will be worth $60K. If you convert this $60K to the local currency of your country, your life will not be single with the amount of money. But I think you should never think that you will become rich with one BTC.
You could not because nobody asked you to do that and announce that you own 1BTC in the first place. Perhaps, you believe in yourself that you are rich already and no need to tell others that you are rich. Unless you really wanted to grab attention and praise your achievements. But I don't think it was a great idea as you are making yourself a target to other people.

Bitcoin is what you choose as your freedom. And use that one btc in different businesses without throwing it away.  And try to earn money with that money hope one day you will be a successful person.
Meaning, you convert your Bitcoin into fiat money and start a business. And it means that you are not a Bitcoin investor anymore.
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: April 15, 2023, 11:41:29 AM
Hi,

I’m looking to invest 10k, I’m trying to decide if to go with XRP or ADA.

In terms of holding I can do it for 1-3 years no real time limit. Not sure what returns I might get short term vs long term. ADA for example i might get 3 to 4 x return, however with XRP that might be a lot more should they win the court case.

My slight worry is what happens if XRP lose.

P
Why choose the two when in fact, there are other coins that are more potential than these coins?
However, having that options, I'd choose ADA over XRP. I have some experience with XRP before and I see that it was not really good for investment, and not as volatile as ADA. Because if we wanted to earn more, we must choose coins that are highly volatile.

But If I'm going to spend that $10k, I surely not put money into both of them. BTC, ETH, and Matic, and some new projects - I believe they are worth enough to risk.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: April 15, 2023, 11:03:20 AM
gamblers have their own preferences depending on how much  and how long they can allot on this kind of game. it is understandable that if you will choose the skill-based slot machines, you need ample time to play. but we all know that a regular slot machine is based on luck. so no matter what strategy you will apply, luck is still the major factor in play with your slot games.
Yes, luck is the main factor in winning slot games, but besides luck, gamblers need a strategy in managing finances so that while playing and waiting for luck to come, they don't lose more money.
Any strategy has no effect on slot games, but using strategy can give gamblers confidence so that they don't have doubts in every round they play. Using strategy can at least minimize the number of losses.
I know a lot of gamblers who don't believe in strategy in slot games, but if you play randomly it won't bring us luck or victory, friend.
Until now, nobody can prove that he becomes successful in slot games using his strategy.
In this kind of gambling, there is no other way to help us wins in slot games other than luck. And the only thing we have to do now is to know how to control our emotions and keep within our limitations. Because the more we chase winning, tempted with a huge prize, we eventually had messed up and spend more. But sad to say that only the casino wins after all, not us - gamblers.
1115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin tops $40,000 after Musk says Tesla could use it again on: April 14, 2023, 09:48:20 PM
I'm unsure if the OP intends to incite FOMO, but his approach to it in promoting Bitcoin isn't ideal. By sharing old article links and presenting them as recent, they may mislead readers about Bitcoin's current price. I was surprised when I read about Bitcoin's value of 40K because I had just checked its price on Binance before reading the post. As for Elon Musk, I don't trust his unpredictable behavior. It seems he's currently more interested in Dogecoin than Bitcoin. It's possible he might accept Dogecoin as a payment method before Bitcoin.
And possibly he misses reading the whole article, particularly the date. And this article won't have any influence on us investors knowing that Elon Musk is not a supporter of Bitcoin but an enemy. In fact, he is just doing this to gain interest and support his company but in the end, he promotes Dogecoin and it booms.
I'm not quite sure about accepting Bitcoin because if it is already on his mind, he started accepting it 5 years ago or 2 years ago but he did not.
1116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I earn only from cryptocurrencies? on: April 14, 2023, 01:50:43 PM
I wonder, how many of you work in crypto full time, and how many use this as an additional source of income?

If you want to, you can share with us what you are doing in crypto. Is it trading, aidrops, writing articles, marketing, etc ?
Well, I can say that might some members be here full-time but the majority are just using this platform for additional income. Many online jobs are available today and this is one of them. Besides, we can promote our expertise here, and could someone might hire you. Actually, there are a lot of opportunities in the crypto world, in fact, some have successful carrier in here while still having to work on their day job. In fact, we don't need to stay in the forum 24 hours and 7 days a week, meaning there still have ample time to work outside crypto.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 14, 2023, 02:30:06 AM

And it will be fitting that he is going to face his former team as a assistant coach under Steve Kerr. So he might have the advantage because he should know the rotation and their defensive movement.

I don't see the advantage here because if he just copies the system, I think the Warriors have the better advantage in terms of players' skills. Also, take note that the Warriors are the defending champions, yet they haven't gained respect due to their bad regular season record, especially their road record.

So, let's talk about the road game. Based on record, Sacramento should have the advantage. However, this is playoffs, and there is a different atmosphere for sure.
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 14, 2023, 02:13:09 AM
If both teams will showcase their full potential, I will agree that they can cover it, and you are right bookies also considering that possibility that high scoring can be done if both teams will be more aggressive coming this game 3. Carefully assess and make your decision according to how you project the possible outcome.

I think they have already shown their full potential. These two teams are not only good offensively but are also good defensively. So what we witnessed in the last two games were more of a defensive game, and that is just normal because they are already in the Finals. Every game matters.
1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 13, 2023, 01:02:01 PM
well, I expect a huge volume of altcoins investors to come this year. These people will take advantage of the situation while the price is growing and they are looking for new projects than choosing old coins like ETH and BNB. They indeed looking for gems as they believe that this could make them rich without holding for many years. In fact, some people are selling their Bitcoins in exchange to altcoins but guess what, they'll turn back buying it again once the bull season ends and hold again.
1120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical analysis a must know in crypto trading? on: April 13, 2023, 12:18:26 PM
Can I learn myself or is important I about them from a professional?
You can take both but I would say that having someone even though it was not a pro-trader but already have an experience in trading, will help you to easily understand trading. But of course, doing research could actually give you more ideas if ever he misses it or not mentioning it. Because the truth is that learning can't be done instantly but it is continuous. And you can build confidence if you have enough knowledge and TA is one of the vital things that you need to learn, perhaps master it if possible.
