121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic V on: April 18, 2021, 08:10:52 PM
The market was looking for a reason to have a correction and they got that in the power outage in China and it really interrupted the transaction delays because of the hash rate drop and it is interesting to see whether the institutional investors will be willing to invest during this correction as they were doing that in the past and that held the market together and hence the next couple of days is crucial.

I highly doubt that the drop in hashrate nor the coal explosion the led to the power outage is the reason of the drop. Bitcoin has no reason to rally at $64,000 to begin with and that resulted to a lot of people taking profit early as they know that it will be followed by a drop and that happened. Of course crypto media news are fast to pick up with these kinds of matter and begin connecting everything just to make a reason for the drop. The drop from what I have seen in the hash rate was no where near 30% and if you have seen the charts for the hashrate there were far more worst drops that had happened as we have seen right now but Bitcoin didn't had any correction during that time.
122  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin and Dubai on: April 18, 2021, 06:42:52 PM
Who knows one day Dubai will become a prime mover of Cryptocurrency adoption.

With how I view things it looks like companies are the ones moving first rather than the government when it comes to taking advantage of cryptocurrencies as a means for profit. Right now from what I have observes governments from majority of the countries don't seem to take advantage of the crypto industry as a means of economical grow but they are more focused on regulating it where we are seeing more strict implementations for KYC and AML procedures as well as trying to keep track on how to monitor transactions by taking advantage of their blockchains. So maybe if Dubai will be doing something it will be more on the side of the businsses rather than the government doing anything about the promotion of the crypto industry.
123  Economy / Economics / Re: Is master card giving us the go ahead to keep buying coins on: April 18, 2021, 05:12:50 PM
If this happens our banking system would be forced to do major transaction in crypto currency or else the might just have to suffer deflation on the long run. Considering the fact most companies now transact in crypto currency and pay workers in crypto currency as well

I think @OP you are assuming things with the move Mastercard did, you are right that they may accept crypto payments later in their business but it doesn't mean that they'll be removing the option for fiat currency paymnets. Mastercard doesn't even have any final approach for this move so we really don't know how they will implement crypto payments with their card system. Thus your assumption about banks being forced into a corner is not a possibility as we all know most of us right now are holding crypto not in a means of using it as a payment but in a means for investment.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: unconfirmed BTC transaction... on: April 18, 2021, 04:13:14 PM
@OP this might not be a network issue but a crypto exchange issue since you are sending cryptocurrencies from your exchange wallet to a deposit address to another crypto exchange. Just do as what other members mentioned regarding you contacting the exchanges but just make sure that the transaction happened and is not in your wallet until now. Other than that you need to double check and see the possibility of you sending your Bitcoin to a Bitcoin Cash address which may complicate some things for the recipient address.
125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why risk management is so important for Every Trader. on: April 18, 2021, 03:03:24 PM
Actually risk management is more easy to understand if you just explained it in a way about risk management being more into implementing stop/cut-losses and profit taking into every ones plan. Setting up cut-loss points and profit taking points or what others know about entry and exit points is how a normal trader earns money and also reduce/minimize the losses a trader will have if a trade goes wrong. A traders must also know how to be satisfied with their earnings and they need not to be looking back if ever they hold for it for a couple of days. A lot of traders experience this after taking profit yet the value of their crypto keeps going up they need to lose this kind of mindset as they already have a trading plan in action.
126  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-18] The tweet erased the $288 billion cap of the crypto market on: April 18, 2021, 02:16:46 PM
I don't think that unconfirmed Tweet is the main reason why we have experienced a big dump recently, for me this is just coincidental as what I have said recently is that  Bitcoin being at $64,000 made it hard for a lot of people to hold and made it an enticing price to start taking some profits which maybe a lot of people did, the price rally to 64k was also weak and pointing that out is the lack of volume going to 64k. Obviously a weak price rally will result into a correction which just happened. Now we are just seeing a lot of crypto news media sources linking everything on what is happening to the market the more controversial their headline the more noise they can create.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 17, 2021, 02:54:27 PM
Hospitals are still full of people we have a situation of 30%, what do you think it will happen when in 10 days a lot of things will be reopened with the UK variant as the Major variant in the Country?  Roll Eyes

I'm not sure how Italy is responding now with the Covid 19 especially they have the worst outbreaks in the world during 2020 but this kind of response where a mass gathering is allowed while still the pandemic is there is something that shouldn't happen, they must have certain procedures regarding this one like only the vaccinated people can spectate the game and other preventive measures. Allowing these fans to watch without any kind of prevention will be a risky thing to do. I know the Italian teams are affected financially without ticket sales but this is something that could just prolong the situation.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Sims - 3D customizable and payable NFTs on the binance network on: April 17, 2021, 01:04:29 PM
Since there can only be 100,000 sims to be created what are the steps you did to ensure that nobody will abuse the limit? Literally if you didn't set up a limit then 1 person could create several sims onto himself and just take advantage of the limit thus ruining your platform, if you don't have any kind of limits set I would suggest that you just set no kind of limit. Other than that this project would a lot more attention if you already have several partners ready to make your NFT avatar available to them. You have mentioned that these sims can be uploaded to any game so I think partnering up with a game for this is something that would promote your program as well.
129  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's next after Coinbase IPO? on: April 17, 2021, 12:03:16 PM
~snip
The difference with Coinbase though, is that it's an exchange. Like I said in my previous reply, while revenue will almost surely drop when bitcoin's price drops, they make money off the fees, not necessarily 100% related to bitcoin's price because some people will still trade crypto regardless of price so price drops with $COIN will be far less affected vs when holding BTC.

Whether or not it is an exchange it will still be connected to prices of the cryptocurrencies in the market. After the 2017 Bull run it followed by a massive bear season following that is a number of lay-offs that had happened with crypto exchanges.

Coinbase Lays Off 30, Shutters Chicago Office

Even as crypto prices fell in 2018 and trading volumes decreased significantly, Coinbase continued to expand, building its employee roster to include 800 people.

Huobi Announces Post-Christmas Layoffs

However, the market condition at present is bright enough to understand this decision.

During 2018 and late 2019 I have seen news similar to what I have provided about crypto exchanges doing lay-offs or downsizing as they were also affected by the bearish season or the sudden price drop of cryptocurrencies. Yeah I know they are earning most of their income through fees and commissions but the bear season also translates into lower trading activity or volume. It is inevitable to happen during a bearish season and I don't think it is something you can just disregard when it comes to choosing what stocks to buy in the market.
130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Institutional buyers are not backing down. More Pump? on: April 16, 2021, 02:48:53 PM
This is not a sign of bullishness for institutional investors its just that MicroStrategy is planning to compensate their non-employee board members with Bitcoin and if I have to take it personally I think MicroStrategy is just using their own Bitcoin reserve to be paid on their directors which just means that they are offloading some of their reserves and we haven't seen any news about them buying more recently so for me this might be bad news and an exact opposite on your interpretation. But that is just my two cents about is people can look the other way around and see that this is a sign of support from their own directors accepting compensation in terms of Bitcoin.
131  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: COPA vs Faketoshi CSW on: April 16, 2021, 02:11:14 PM
TBH this wouldn't be an issue if the real author (which is Satoshi) would be coming out and claiming it, with this of course Craig Wright will be proven to infringe the rights of Satoshi itself. But of course this is something impossible as Satoshi would like to remain hidden until now that causes several people to claim his name. COPA need to go to the hard route instead and that is disproving Craigh Wright as Satoshi which I think previous lawsuits have proven that he is not. Lets just hope COPA for the best and hope that the judge will side with them just to discredit Craig Wright more.
132  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's next after Coinbase IPO? on: April 16, 2021, 01:02:43 PM
I won't really watch those crypto related businesses going public as they might be a money trap for a lot of new investors. Remember when we have an 18+ month long bear season? Most crypto related companies and miners went to a downsizing process as the prices of cryptocurrencies and general market activity are slow and thus resulting them to have a lower income. Of course this will immediately affect the stock prices as the appreciation of the value of their stocks are always their financial performance, so you really need to consider that as it won't always be a bullish season for these companies. Regarding companies launching an IPO I remembered that Bitmain is one of the first ones who attempted to be listed but they failed in both the US and the Hong Kong stock market.
133  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-04-14 Yahoo : Bitcoin Near $60K as Coinbase Listing Stirs Fresh Crypto Hype on: April 16, 2021, 11:54:09 AM

Events would really be inter-connected from time to time and i do much prefer on seeing these things rather than seeing the market rising up without any fundamentals attached to it.

This isnt something new that we are seeing on this market when it comes to Hypes and Fuds that circling around neither those price reactions would come too soon or immediately after
a certain news do comes out but all depends if its either be a positive or negative one.

There are lots of news and events that triggers out this price increase but im already anticipating for some hard  correction anytime soon.

Fundamentals? Mos of the cryptocurrencies in the crypto market don't have any fundamentals attach to it as they literally don't have any data regarding their financial information as they aren't companies who have financial statements that can make up fundamentals. The news we are seeing now cannot be considered as a basis for any kind of fundamental analysis as it is more speculative in nature rather and it won't really help you identify the fair market value of a crypto asset. Yeah readings the latest news is good but what is sickening to see is how they attach and related everything to the movement of cryptocurrencies and they try to make it look like it is really the reason why these cryptocurrencies are priced like that.
134  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Fake Chipmixer website on: April 15, 2021, 03:34:42 PM
All of the fake/clone chipmixer websites posted in the OP are all active. And all of them are hosted through namecheap which is notorious for not doing any kind of action with regards to scam and fake websites. You'll just be wasting your time trying to spam report these websites and you won't see any action from the host. I would recommend you to just spread awareness to the forum such fake websites exists instead and to the ones who you know are using mixers as this could really mess people up since those websites are awfully similar to anyone new.
135  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-04-14 Yahoo : Bitcoin Near $60K as Coinbase Listing Stirs Fresh Crypto Hype on: April 15, 2021, 02:42:52 PM
but other than that there will be no direct affect to Bitcoin and Coinbase being a publicly listed company.

That's why I said in another topic, once the media stop to talk about it, the hype will fade and the price will follow, hence I smell a correction coming after this

With what I have seen so far the media have not stopped talking about Bitcoin and I think it will always be that way as they always try to connect everything on the price movement of Bitcoin. Before this Coinbase thing we have companies like Tesla and Microstrategy being linked to the price movement of Bitcoin and before that we have the US Presidential election literally a lot of news have been connected to the price movement of Bitcoin, it makes me feel like they see the price movement of Bitcoin first and then find a news to connect with it after. If there will be a correction happening it won't be from the lack of news we are seeing but maybe from FUD and as well as massive profit taking which would definitely happen.
136  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-04-14 Yahoo : Bitcoin Near $60K as Coinbase Listing Stirs Fresh Crypto Hype on: April 14, 2021, 05:14:57 PM
As of the time posting this Bitcoin is around $63,400 but it has reached $64,800 today which is an amazing thing to see. I know a lot of people will be bullish about this but if you look at the charts the volume is pretty much sideways meaning there are a few people pushing the price. So definitely do not assume this as Bitcoin being bullish again but the prices just reflects to the market reacting or being positive about the listing but other than that there will be no direct affect to Bitcoin and Coinbase being a publicly listed company.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 14, 2021, 03:49:10 PM
Atalanta in the third impressive season, they have still played well and in the top of table. They even can take the second position from AC Milan. On the other hands, AC Milan have to play very carefully as their second position can be taken over by Juventus, Atalanta or Napoli. AC Milan fall too fast and in the dangerous race with other clubs.

It's really expected to happen for Milan especially if they really didn't have any major improvements regarding their roster. People were surprised during their outstanding performance in the first half but during that time I was sure that their success won't stretch during the 2nd half of the season. For me personally if Milan will fall from the top 4 spot I guess it will still be ok and it will just give them more time to actually improve their roster and bring in some more wonderkids to help for the next season and maybe be more consistent in the league table.
138  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Exchange - Revenues per user on: April 14, 2021, 02:51:26 PM
You'll definitely have a hard time acquiring this as there is not a lot of crypto exchanges that are listed publicly which means that their financials are most likely private and inaccessible to anyone. If you wanna try maybe there are some exchanges in South Korea and China that have their financials uploaded in their respective SEC websites but this is a long shot. The other way of looking at it is going in their website and try looking if they have an investors page and maybe you'll be lucky that they have some annual report included there.
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: I just realized I'm 99.9% crypto and 0.1% in fiat on: April 14, 2021, 01:15:07 PM
I'm sure most people have smaller amounts in crypto, it could just be that the people who have so far wanted to comment on this thread are the ones with really high percentages in crypto.

I've for the most part had more than 90% of my money in crypto since late 2017, though it probably slipped under 90% in late 2018 just cuz prices had fallen so much, before I loaded up at the beginning of 2019.

Eventually, like later this decade, I figure I'll want to diversify a little bit into stocks and real estate, so I could imagine by the end of this decade holding like 90% crypto, like 0.2% in cash, ~5% in stocks and ~5% in real estate. But for now I'm perfectly happy being 99.9%/0.1% crypto/fiat.

For me personally I think anything above 80% of your money being invested in the crypto industry is considered dangerous especially for the people who don't have anything set aside at all if one of the worst cases come which is cryptocurrencies going down which all of them will immediately be affected in this situation. But I guess this will really be dependent on each person as maybe there are people who have a bigger risk appetite compared to what I have and has trust that cryptocurrencies will give them bigger gains.
140  Economy / Economics / Re: Counter trade every decision central bank make on: April 13, 2021, 05:13:31 PM
I wouldn't act that negatively if my country were to issue a digital currency as long as it is backed up by our own fiat currency. The argument here will always be about the fees and how they will cut it by the use of the digital version of our fiat this just simply eliminate the 3rd party services such as Paypal and maybe remittance centers which means it will be more money for us. With regards to the "surveillance" part it will always come with it as the central bank is in charge with the regulation of the monetary system in our respective country.
