1221  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 13, 2023, 06:33:20 AM
It's just an unpleasant feeling that I think will subside faster, at least you try to communicate to neutralize the atmosphere and pretend that nothing happened. Or give any amount of money you're willing to help him.

But it is better to avoid financial loss as best as possible. If in the end your sibling defaults on loans, this will make your relationship even more tenuous than this one.
1222  Other / Meta / Re: View Counter of each Reply on: March 13, 2023, 04:21:44 AM
i observe that thread views are counted by number of time and its not based on unique visitor to Thread. js there any way to Check unique visitor?

Haven't found a clear display count formula ever posted by mods, the solution will be more difficult if you wanna calculate independently. Imo the number will be far less than the number of views currently being tallied and for anyone with an interest in traffic probably won't be picking up on the results from unique visitors.
1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: he/they roasted us? on: March 13, 2023, 03:13:32 AM
Bitcoin still maintains to uphold the concept of technically decentralized, PoW, consensus and so on. Changes and improvements will be implemented based on a consensus process.
Recently, many altcoins have changed technically and violated the initial concept, their improvement is solely on the initiative and decision of the core developers, whether the community likes it or not.
1224  Economy / Economics / Re: Current banking system is centralized but only is decentralized brazil is exampl on: March 13, 2023, 02:56:42 AM
Crypto p2p exchangers are not needed either near future becouse If you can cash out your crypto from ATM cash machine then you got all you need and with many crypto visa debit cards or mastercards you can pay at stores.
If you knew bitcoin ATM transaction fees could suffocate you, you'dn't remove p2p methods from priority. FYI, recently the UK considered that crypto ATMs are illegal[1]. In outline the new policy seems to be a classic excuse, "crime and money laundering prevention"

Brazil is good example you can literally cash out your USDT from atm machines without third parties involved.
It will be a company waiting for the next bankruptcy due to too much trust in the pegged and cashable tokens.

1225  Economy / Speculation / Re: The SVB failure will help BTC alot. on: March 13, 2023, 02:41:32 AM
Bitcoin has never failed technically, although some consider that its fall in value is a sign of stalled sustainability. The fact is that they never realized that the reason for the decline was only due to external factors (most of which were due to the policies and conditions of centralized financial institutions), not an innate failure.

It's good news that everyone has the opportunity to raise their sats every time people fear just because of the news of a big financial institution's failure.
1226  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk IV (2022 Q3) [MODERATED] on: March 12, 2023, 10:59:19 AM
I spent 3 year for 700 activity
Not a useful achievement tbh, nor does it add a plus to the sustainability of the forum. Maybe I missed something a lot in the bounty section, do certain manager rules require participants to achieve certain activities?
Btw, you can still increase your activity in this forum even with negative tags.
1227  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: My consternation regarding the monitoring of Bitcoin transactions. on: March 12, 2023, 10:11:00 AM
Transaction explorer gives only limited information like tx value, tx hash, block number, date, number of confirmations etc like a common tracker. As for if you mean tracing ownership personally, that requires a special effort. Someone may have dealt with a centralized service where he distributed identities for an account connected to several addresses. And some digital forensics experts can use IP to detect the location of the owner of the address. cmiiw
1228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Setup from big Whales on: March 12, 2023, 06:12:48 AM
The important thing is don't take crazy steps like Elon Musk, if you don't want it to end badly. [1] Cheesy

Whales don't disclose much in detail about the bitcoin security methods they use, self-custody wallets are always the best setup and are highly recommended by most technical experts.

1229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you 'Will' your bitcoin to your children? on: March 12, 2023, 05:56:35 AM
Can you "WILL" the private key to your favorite child or call them together and reveal the private key to them?

5 children of different ages and different levels of knowledge? It is impossible to give the same explanation in one place. At some point, one of the children can trick the other to get the privatekey.
Giving them their private keys at a separate place and time (and secretly) also teaches them some important lessons about security.

That's why you can't leave seeds or private keys to a notary, if they are not encrypted with a password.
Tbh it's a weak security method. If I had doubted the notary from the start, I'd not have trusted him at all instead of giving him an encrypted privatekey that would likely be tampered with with some bruteforce attempts and the capabilities of the future technology you describe.
1230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto related jobs on: March 12, 2023, 05:08:13 AM
When during those times there're so many phishing sites on a loose, one of my friends also lost a lot of his altcoins kept from his MEW due to such schemes.
Crypto jobs only require expertise, no money has to be deposited, staked or anything like that. But still at the possible risk in work, you might work for fraudsters who will pay your work unfairly or not pay at all.

I was wondering if there jobs that offers to pay crypto?
If you like visiting some crypto sites, most of them put a "career" page that opens up several opportunities for tech talent, they will surely pay employees in crypto.
1231  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is kyc verification dangerous? on: March 12, 2023, 04:54:23 AM
There were tons of scammers that had used stolen IDs just to get money and withdraw
Exactly, now imagine the stolen ID is yours.

Quote
I do not see anything that could go wrong way by providing ID.
Seeing from various perspectives is actually a problem in itself, this will involve trust in the service that requests your ID. Let's say you're trying to prove that you're an honest guy, but who are you dealing with?
We are never far away from the vicinity of criminal activity, all kinds of unexpected things can happen. Hiding ID doesn't mean we are perpetrators, it's just that we don't wanna be victims.
1232  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: March 12, 2023, 04:38:07 AM
Old rich people, the question is how much is their investment worth?
I think they differ in terms of capital levels, their small percentage of profits is probably enough to feed us for 5 years. By and large, established investors are less greedy in their pursuit of big profits, they're more likely to have steady profits that allow them to sleep well every night.
1233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is the last chance to exchange stablecoins for Bitcoin on: March 11, 2023, 03:41:30 PM
Bitcoin price is now at $20,404 and Bitcoin price is likely to move lower.
That means it's not the last chance, right?
All in just for the reasons above is not a good decision imo, bitcoin never closes the opportunity to go to a lower level. The news of the release of Bitcoin from Mtgox is still no updates, but I believe that at this time several media are preparing their versions of FUD and as usual the market reaction will be seen immediately.
1234  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is kyc verification dangerous? on: March 11, 2023, 01:43:50 PM
shouldn't it be banned or removed.
That is one opinion, you can take or have your own view on KYC it's up to you. Crypto is a separate entity from services that basically do not require KYC.
For crypto companies such as exchanges will not take the opinion "KYC is dangerous" because they have interests.

Is this true that kyc verification can put your funds and personal data at risk? Should we stop using any app that ask for kyc verification?
Yeah, several scam threats, the trigger is a data breach which is then sold on the black market.

1237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tor Safe & Reliable Escrow on: March 10, 2023, 07:39:08 AM
Great questions, I'm looking to buy stolen BTC at a discounted price.  I attempted to buy from a vendor in the "Dark Market" who goes by the name The_King who claimed to charge 10% of the BTC wallet funds.  i.e. Pay $50 for a wallet containing $500 worth of BTC.  It all looked valid and I trusted it as he was labeled "Vendor of the Month" and I thought I was putting my funds in a multisig escrow but I checked the account a day later and my funds were moved.

Stolen BTC? It must have been collected from some innocent buyer like you.
Even if you don't mention the strike price, there are no discounted price bitcoins (personally) anywhere for stolen bitcoins. Identifying the source of origin of bitcoins isn't as easy as the average user might think, so no "dirty" bitcoin status can be said honestly unless the seller is primarily out to deceive the buyer.

1239  Economy / Economics / Re: The Biggest Financial Regrets on: March 10, 2023, 06:31:15 AM
I see that it's not a regret, but it's a picture of how greedy people are.
Alright, now I'll describe more generally.

Humans don't know how big their needs and desires are in the future, so what they can prepare is limited to their thoughts and guesses.

Over time, the more they interact, gain knowledge and go through various kinds of life problems, the more they know their true needs and desires which they never thought of in their financial planning or didn't realize that it was an opportunity.

So stick to the previous opinion, everyone will regret it in the end which shouldn't be necessary (even for the poor though). I think it is precisely when regrets come they should start something asap.
1240  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to pay less fee’s on coinbase in UK. on: March 09, 2023, 10:32:53 AM
Dunno what fees you're referring to here, if you mean trading fees then I think cheaper fee offers won't consider user region if the exchange caters to global customers. It may only be offered during special events and only a few times.

CEX usually offer discounted maker and taker fees if you set it to their native coin, such as Binance and Kucoin.
